CC 2014 on 2011 iMac - Video Module Problem

I just installed the 2014 CC version of Premiere Pro on my iMac and am now getting this message. Error "Premiere Pro could not find any capable video play modules"
The self-service support on the Adobe site is inadequate, fails to offer any valuable support.
Does anyone have the same issue with this version and, if so, any clues on fixing it, without buying a new Mac? And yes, I have 2Gb on the GPU, 32Gb RAM.

Try this:
Go to the following locations and rename the folders to "old_folder name" (like old_Adobe)
User/user library/Application Support and rename the Adobe folder.
User/user library/Preferences and rename the Adobe folder.
Then go to Documents folder and then to Adobe/Premiere pro/8.0 and rename the 8.0 folder.

Premiere Pro CC 2014 QuickTime Audio and Video Syncing problem

I am having and issue when I import QuickTime video into Premiere Pro CC 2014. I've just started doing some editing so I am very new to all of this. I recorded video in Photo Booth on my mac. I exported the file to a .mov file and imported it in to Premiere. When I play the file in premiere everything is fine up until halfway through the video. The video starts to play faster than the audio and everything is off. When I play the video in QuickTime everything is fine. I don't know if I did something wrong when I imported the file but I am hoping for some help. Thank you.

I would be willing to bet the video is recorded as VFR, variable frame rate ... in other words, it creates more frames per second when it needs to for keeping up with screen changes, and less when it doesn't see much changing on your screen. This saves bandwidth of course, BUT ... PrPro is not setup to work well with VFR footage, it really needs CFR, constant FR. So ... highly recommended if your capture program doesn't allow setting CFR is the free program "Handbrake", which you can google for. Use that to convert the footage to CFR, then import that into PrPro.

What seems to be the problem? Theres like graphical artifacts on the
videos. Does that too in some games i played. Even on BootCamp Windows 7, does the same thing to some games like need for speed shift.

Cannot Import Images from 2008 iMac to 2011 iMac over WiFi

I have 2 iMacs (i.e., 2008 and 2011). I use my 2008 iMac to store my RAW files for backup, and then I import them into Aperture 3 on my 2011 iMac over WiFi. I can see my 2008 iMac folders with Finder (Shared) on my 2011 iMac with no problems; however, I can't see my 2008 iMac when I am trying to import into Aperture 3 on my 2011 iMac. This used to work in the past. I am stumpted at the moment and I need an idea to try.

First on the iMac hold down the 'option' key while clicking on the Apple symbol in the right hand of the menu bar. There launch "System Profiler". In that program look and thr wireless section and see if it still sees the wireless card. If it does then lets move on to more steps to reset the OS X drivers for it.
To reset the OS X drivers for the Airport card follow these steps:
1. Shut off the Airport card fully by going to System Preferences->Network pane and turn off Airport.
2. With an Admin account go to the folder /YourHardDrive/Library/Preferences/ and find the folder "SystemConfiguration" and delete the files:
a) com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
b) com.apple.nat.plist
c) com.apple.network.identification.plist
3. Restart immediately to rebuild these files.
4. Upon the restart rejoin the wireless network.

2011 iMac freezes anytime I play videos

My 2011 iMac continually freezes anytime I play videos whether it's on Netflix or iTunes. There's no problem playing videos on YouTube. I am on version 10.9.2 OS X. The videos will freeze for about five seconds (everything freezes - including the dock bar), then will unfreeze and after I'd say another five seconds, it freezes again! Does anyone have any suggestions? It's very frustrating trying to watch a movie! I also have a horizontal white line that goes straight across the video as well, which I'm guessing is probably linked to the videos freezing...?

I have a friend who lives in the middle east & has kanex xd & he wants to connect it with the imac 27 inch from Satellite receiver or PS3 though HDMI cable,, but yet the signal is PAL not NTSC in the middle east,, so will the imac 27 inch play the movie from the satellite in full colour or in blue & says cannot play the movie because its not NTCS ? because this is U.S version of imac then he might need an convertor?

2011 iMac: An error occurred when attempting to change modules

Hello,
Just got a new 2011 iMac. Installing both 3.4 and 3.3, after completely removing all data, constantly results in "
An error occurred when attempting to change modules"
I've tried removing the .plist as others have suggested, but that has not worked.
Any advice would be great.

FIXED
I did two things:
1. I deleted the files for "Portraiture for Lightroom".
2. Installed on a different computer and copied the "Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom" and ".../Camera Raw" directories.
After reinstalling, it worked.

My iMac has developed a video display problem. Everything now appears in a strange, cartoonish way. Purples, greens, blues. Can this be fixed, and if so, any idea how much it might cost? Also, could I output to a seperate monitor? I plan to replace the unit , but cannot right now. Thanks!

Go to System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing.
In the Display area, reset it to "Black on white" by clicking that checkbox.
You can also reset it by pressing Command-Option-Control-8

Old IMac 17'' video sync problem at boot

Hi,
A friend has brought his IMac 17'', which has a video sync problem. At boot, all screen lines are out of sync, but I can more or less recognize the apple logo, which disappears later. Something happens at least, there is a boot processing going on I think.
I tried to reset the parameter ram, it does not help.
I have heard of a power supply problem that can cause that problem. Is that right? The computer serial is: W8446APAPP7.
Can anyone help?

Here's a simple test case I've made, it's just a bunch of lines drawn in an orthographic OpenGL view. When you scroll horizontially with scrollbars or by space+dragging, the effect is very noticeble.

I believe this is the same problem as with the Apple homepage Flash thing. It's not just a problem with Flash.

You have to import the movie into iTunes via iOS file sharing, then drag the movie from the file sharing window in iTunes to the desktop, then you can import the movie into iMovie. Here are the details.

I added an SSD to my 27" 2011 iMac. Although Sahidus is absolutely correct, it is much easier to add an SSD replacing the optical drive, it wasn't that bad to add it using an entirely seperate cable using SATA-III. To me it is worth the extra hassle to install a SATA-III SSD. This is where you are going to get maximum performance.
Although it appears complicated, if you go slow, the procedure to install an SSD drive isn't too bad. It takes at most 3 hours, as long as you are prepared and have all the parts and tools.

This describes how I did it. Now I get awesome data performance from my iMac!
I think the 21.5" may be more difficult to find where to place the SSD. But im sure it is possible. Just be creative.

27" 2011 iMac & reported 1Tb HD problems

Does anyone know if Apple have stopped incorporating the potentially faulty 1Tb HDs in 27" 2011 iMacs - or are they still incorporating them and relying on a replacement programme for those that actually crash?
My concern is that if I were to order a new BTO 27" 2011 iMac with a 1Tb HD on line today, might I be at risk of the reported problem; or is it now a historical problem that has been remedied at source in current iMac production?
I realise that Applecare would cover it, but I hate the thought of investing in an expensive iMac with an inherent risk and all the disruption and logistics returning it to Apple for repair would entail as well as that "sullied" feeling you get when equipment has to undergo repair when virtually new .

I can tell you, that after picking up my 27" iMac a couple of weeks ago - I went to the official Apple site on the 1TB problems.. where it asked me to enter my serial number. After doing so - the page came up saying that my iMac was OK and didn't need to be looked at. I am assuming that the problem was corrected, and iMacs assembled after the correction (like mine) are fine. Have had zero problems with the drive.

Can't find iphoto library after time machine migration of 2011 imac to osx 2014 imac

I recently purchase latest 5K Retina display iMAC with Yosemite. Had a 2011 Intel iMAC it had a flash drive with latest iphoto library. An older iphoto library was located on the standard HD on the 2011 iMAC. EVerything on this computer was backed up with Time capsule.
When I purchased new computer, I used migration assistant and the Time capsule to migrate files to new iMAC. The newer iphot libray is present but cant find the older one.
What did I do wrong?

Brightness/Flickering problem with left hand side of 2011 iMac display

Hi,
My 2011 iMac has recently developed a fault with the left hand side of the display flickering and being very dark. I've googled this and found that many other people seem to have this issue. As per other forum posts, if I apply a little pressure to the bottom left of the screen then this temporarily resolves itself, but this is obviously not a permanent solution.
I'm not happy as my £1500 iMac is only 18 months old, and I've been told from an authorised apple repair centre, that it's going to cost £600 to fix.
I've spent the best part of an hour trying to call apple to speak to a human being, but the automated voice menu wants to charge me £35 before even putting me through. Does anyone have a phone number which would allow me to speak to a real person so I can make a complaint?

Macbook pro mid 2011 video card problems

Hi. I have a Macbook pro late 2011 and a have problems with my graphic card. I read 150 pages about this problem in apple forum, but don't receive any solutions to resolve a problem.

Well I got same problem today in OS X and when I restarted I got following screen and after few minsutes Laptop was switched OFF Automatically. I powered ON again ang got same screen but this time I quickly press CMD + C and screen goes normal this time.
