CC 2014 upgrade

I've upgraded, but it doesn't seem upgraded.
I can't find the new blur filters and I can find mini bridge.
I check what version it tells me - 14.2.1
Am i missing something?
Alex

You have to launch the CC 2014 version, not the older CC version - they are separate applications.

Since installing Premiere Pro CC 2014 upgrade, Mac Pro jumpy video and freezes constantly. Worked perfectly before. Anyone else finding these issues? I'm running a quad core Mac Pro, so it's definitely not the hardware.

I've maxed out the memory assignment, but this isn't a memory problem per se.
It looks like certain Premiere Pro conditions are associated with a huge increase in kernel_task memory, zeroing out any available free memory.  In my case it seems to be associated with effects applied to titles or jpgs  or imported psd (Photoshop) files.
Program restart pulls kernel memory back to the 1.3gb normal size.
Here's where I am at startup:

  • Creative Cloud 2014 Upgrade Trial Activation

We converted 13 users to Creative Cloud last year. Since then the CC 2014 version has come out, and 12 out of the thirteen users have upgraded to the 2014 version. The last persons CC shows that the trial has expired for the 2014 upgrade, and a "Buy" button appears by each of the CC upgrades apps. Our CC license is current. How do I activate the trial version? I didn't need to do anything for the other 12 users.

Resolved, the person in the chat session determined that the problem was I was logging into CC with the team leader's credentials. It makes sense that it wouldn't allow me to update, because he doesn't have a license assigned to his email. After I logged into CC under my email, everything worked perfectly. Ugh, something so dumb. I've been struggling with this since CC 2014 came out.

  • Problems using SQL Server 2014 upgrade advisor on a windows 2008 sp2 server

I got sql server 2014 upgrade advisor up and running on a windows 2012 vm and every thing works fine, but I am having trouble installing it locally for a SSRS Box. The SSRS box is running windows 2008 sp2 enterprise edition, but when I try
and run the SQLUA.msi install nothing happens.
    anyone else experience this issue?

    Hi jesse,
    Welcome to the forum :-)
Can you please clarify your issue in more details. I did not understand what you are doing. What do you mean by "installing it locally for a SSRS Box". Do you mean that you are trying a simple installation which do not work, and raise an error?
If so then (1) we dont need the extra information about "why you need the SQL Server" :-) we just need to help you install it regardless the SSRS. (2) We do need the full error log and the error message that you get.
By the way, The SQLUA.msi is just a small utilities named "Upgrade Advisor"

Understand the uninstall process BUT ...
Looking at the size of the previous versions vs. the CC 2014 versions, it seems that these newer (2014) versions are smaller in size ... with the exception of SpeedGrade.
What I have installed so far:
    AE CC = 2.66gb
    AE CC 2014 = 2.03gb
    AU CC = 900mb
    AU CC 2014 = 678mb
    AI CC = 1.81gb
    AI CC 2014 = 907mb
    PS CC = 3.79gb
    PS CC 2014 = 1.99gb
    PR CC = 3.87gb
    PR CC 2014 = 1.54gb
    SG CC = 206mb
    SG CC 2014 = 709mb
I hope this is right and the downloads didn't leave out anything!! If the programs are lighter, that's a good thing.
    So, is this right?!
And is it alright to Uninstall the previous versions? (I don't have any plugins, add-on's, etc...)

  • 2012 to 2014 Upgrade Not Working

I downloaded the SQLEXPRADV_x64_ENU version of MS SQL Server (I am running the 2102 Version on a Windows 8.1 PC).  When i ran the upgrade wizard it all ran ok -except that MS SQL 204 Server isn't there -the machine is still running the 2012 version
and I can't uninstall the 2012 version either as it says that my computer is running an older version of Windows.
Any ideas on how I can actually install the 2014 version?

    Hi,
First please learn to post correct figures. From what you posted it seems you have SQL Server 2012 express installed and you want to upgrade it to SQL server 2014express. If it is correct then
    1. You need to have SQL server 2012 patched to SP1 before upgrading from 2012 express to 2014 express. Please read supported
    Version and edition upgrade matrix
    2. Upgrade advisor does not upgrades SQL server instances it just tell you possible error which could come during upgrade. To upgrade you need to right click on SQL Server 2014 express setup and and select run as administrator. A new window will pop up on
it select maintenance and then edition upgrade then its choose edition you want to upgrade and few next..next and then it would upgrade. More details in
    This Link.
PS: You need to first download SQL Server 2014 express edition.

  • SQL Server Express 2005 to 2014 upgrade and Uninstallation issues

We have client application running SQL Server Express that connects to a SQL Server 2012 server.  We are attempting to upgrade from Microsoft SQL 2005 express to Microsoft SQL Server 2014
express – but are having difficulties – especially with uninstall.
Our understanding is that we needed to follow the following steps:
First we install Microsoft SQL 2005 express SP4 as required silently
    Start /wait SQLEXPR.exe /qn ACTION=UPGRADE INSTANCENAME="SQLEXPRESS" UPGRADE=SQL_Engine SAPWD=<password>
    SQLACCOUNT="NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" SQLPASSWORD= SECURITYMODE="SQL"
Then try upgrading with Microsoft SQL Server 2014 express, we use following command to do it silently
    SQLEXPR.exe /q /ACTION=upgrade /INSTANCENAME=SQLEXPRESS /ISSVCAccount="NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS
    We see following
In Control Panel -> Uninstall or change program, we have all the instances listed 2005, 2008, 2012 and 2014.
How do we uninstall the instance?  , We try uninstalling 2014
But it is not cleanly uninstalled.
    Questions:
Is there any way for clean upgrade from Microsoft SQL 2005 express SP3 to Microsoft SQL 2014 express?
Is there any specific steps suggested to uninstall upgraded SQL 2014 express from system?
Are we doing anything wrong in commands for silent upgrade?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
After you perform an in-place upgrade it’s normal to find the binaries and references of the old version of SQL Server on the Start Menu and Control Panel -> Programs and Features. That’s by design. After you have successfully upgraded an instance, you can
    remove the old binaries.
IfIf you find some remnants after uninstalling SQL Server 2014, please perform the following steps to manually uninstall it:
    1. Uninstall all SQL Server 2014 components you can using Control Panel -> Programs and
    Features
    2. Backup the registry.
    3. Delete the following keys in regedit:
        --HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft SQL Server
        --HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSSQLServer
    4. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall and delete
all the sub-keys referencing SQL Server.
    5. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services and delete all the keys referencing
    SQL Server.
    6. Rename all the SQL Server folders in the computer like
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server and subfolders.
    Hope this helps.

  • Why do all my brushes "lag" with the new 2014 upgrade when they perform fine in regular CC?

After upgrading to the new 2014 version of Photoshop today, I've noticed that all of my brushes and painting tools have considerable "lag" time. Switch back over to the previous Photoshop CC and the brushes don't lag at all. I've tinkered with the performance settings in 2014 but nothing affects the lag-time.
    Thoughts?

Some folks are experiencing a slowdown with the latest version of Photoshop, while others aren't.  Adobe engineering is looking into it, and are asking for system details from folks experiencing the problem.
Please see this post for the information requested:

  • Lightroom link to PS Panorama merge Not working with Photoshop CC 2014 upgrade

I recently received an upgrade to PS CC to PS CC2014. After Upgrading I now notice the Option in Lightroom 5.5 to edit in PS and merge to Panorama is no longer working.
When used, PS program starts, but does not con tune with the script to load existing files and merge into a panorama image.
Does PS CC 2014 use a different script? as it seems to be failing.
Has anyone else had this issue, is there a fix coming?

This worked for me, and a simple solution...
Start PS - restart LR :-)

  • Premiere Pro 2014 upgrade question

    Heya.
So, a while back I upgraded Adobe Premiere Pro to Adobe Premiere Pro 2014. But when I did, instead of just upgraded I was given 2014 as a separate program and I still had the original. It didn't seem to affect anything, so I paid it no mind and just proceeded with 2014. Lately though, all my adobe programs are working for only 15~20 minutes before slowing down to a snails pace and then freezing all together. At first I thought it was my lack of free disc space, so I deleted enough junk to put me at 83GB. But the programs are still sluggish after only a little bit of use. So my question is: What will happen if I delete the original Adobe Premiere Pro (in order to make more space)? Will I still have 2014, or can it not exist on my computer without the original?

Separate installs, separate functionality. Uninstalling older versions will drag down shared components, though, and necessitate a reinstall of the other product. Won't fix anything for you, though, I can tell you that. Your system is most likely simply showing signs of wear like fragmented disks or temp folders filling up just as any update to Windows or a driver could interfere operations. Do some housekeeping and check your settings.

  • SQL 2014 Upgrade Advisor

    Hey there,
I've installed SQL 2014 Enterprise on a VM and am trying to install the Upgrade Advisor.
Directions indicate that I should run SqlUA.msi but I get the following error:
    ========================================
    Setup is missing prerequisites:
-Microsoft SQL Server 2014 Transact-SQL-ScriptDom, which is not installed by Upgrade Advisor Setup. To continue, install SQL Server 2014 Transact-SQL ScriptDom from below hyperlink and then run the Upgrade Advisor Setup operation again :
    Go to http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=296473.
    ========================================
That just takes me to the download page. There is no ScriptDom file, but a further search showed me that they mean SQLDOM. So I installed SQLDOM.msi from that page above and got the following error:
    ========================================
    Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Transact-SQL-ScriptDom
Installation of Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Transact-SQL-ScriptDom failed because a higher version already exists on the machine. To proceed, uninstall the higher version and then run Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Transact-SQL ScriptDom Setup again.
    ========================================
Well, that was pretty confusing. First I'm told I don't have it, then I'm told I'm trying to install an older version. I've rebooted the VM and my local laptop a bunch but without assist. Microsoft Support told me they don't support upgrade advisor.
    Any assistance is much appreciated.
    Thanks
    Andre

Anyone out there had the same issue?

Ok I've just tried to view it on my other
monitor and it doesn't do it.
The offending monitor is a Philips 231S Plus plugged in via DVI and the other is a Philips 226VL plugged in via VGA.
When you straddle the window between the two monitors it doesn't happen.
I have attached a video of the dimming effect. Please note the grey border disappearing and the white turning grey.
