CC app = complete mess

I had been seeing similar problems to others well documented here with the CC App not drawing dialogue boxes properly and menu items missing.
I powered up this morning and opened the CC app, to find a blank app window with a tiny dialogue box but no buttons etc - had to go into task manager to close the app. On restarting, got the same unusable app. Finally had to go to creative cloud download site and re-install the app. Now it works again to a point but still the same missing menu items and dialogue boxes that dont draw, missing buttons etc.
Obviously the app was trying to tell me that an update was available but then got stuck trying to give be a dialogue box to update - but with no button etc.
Adobe developers - absolute terrible UX and bugs! Shame

I see the same issues as well in Windows 8.1. I can't see what version of the CC app i am using... I had to reinstall and just got blank buttons when i should accept the legal notices. This must be fixed asap. I clicked the blue, blank, button and it worked but now i see this:

    You have a hardware problem. It is probably the hard drive is either to full, not enough free space, or it is starting to fail.
    If you have an external drive connec that to the system and use the Recovery HD, Command + r keys at startup, to install a clean fresh copy of OS X Lion on the external then run the system from that. It will be slower but if you don't get the beachball then that is the sign your internal drive is on its way out or is filled up with files and not enough free space.

    That's usually a problem with the Segoe UI fonts on your system. On a Vista system, Vortical's suggestion from the following post is worth trying:

    hey, ive gotta problem. when i listen to my songs on iTunes, not the store, but my library, they are fine. when i listen on my iPod, they are completely messed up! what i mean is that when played on my ipod, the beat (or rest of music besides the lyrics) is louder than normal, and i can barely hear the lyrics. whats going on and how do i fix it?

    Please set the EQ setting on you iPod to "flat". It does not help, please restore your iPod to factory settings

    Yes, it will now always show that you purchased it, but with it deleted from ipad, when yu click the icon to download again, it will download the latest versioon available from the app store.
    You cannot delete what is in the app store. nor can you erase your previous history of purchasing the app.

  • Why do I keep getting problems with Apple not recognizing my email password? This suddenly started and just reminds me of the mess that mobileme was. Calendar dev also is not working. What a complete mess!

    Can't access my email - endless messages saying password is wrong, which it is not. Mobileme all over again. I now need to forward all Apple mail to GMail, which is how an email system should work. Same is true with the calendar - a complete mess on the integration with my Google calendar.
    This is really, really a pain!!

    OK this is Cormacin Texas - these idiots have put me through the hoops, effectively locking me out of the support forum. Anyway I've solved the problem - it took 3.5 hours, involved a trip to the Genius bar at the local Apple store, and one and a half hours escalating through the dial-in help support - which was about the only thing the Genius was good for.
    What you need to know is:
    1. Apple are having problems with their servers, but have not published the fact - we've all wasted a lot of time because these guys want to keep their Customer Sat scores high, I guess. (I'm starting to feel like one of their Chinese factory workers!)
    2. This server problem is compounded by the fact that it only affects a few random servers
    3. It in turn can lead to problems sending emails which require you to change your Apple Mail password, and in my case surgically remove bad records for various hidden email and library folders. (Good luck with that!)
    So, a problem that they hide, a knock-on set of work that the problem indirectly causes, which they also hide, and a support structure that is geared for hardware, not the services that they are now selling.
    My suggestion is to change your mail password using the web (icloud.com) access to Mail and see if that works. After that, remove and reset up your Apple email (Preferences) and pray that you don't have to join endless telephone answering lines where some of the folks will cut you off because they can't be arsed.
    The two guys that finally helped me were brilliant, knew their stuff and could not have done a better job. The key guy was Danny - if you get him, your golden!

    I think you should just rebuild your library.
    Clear it out, then drag all the song files back in. You'll lose your ratings and playcounts, etc but I don't see what else you can do.

  • Alphabetical sort in Music app is messed up

    Good day to everyone, I hope someone will help me with my problem. As you can see on the screenshot, alphabetical sort of my music in default Music app is messed up, for example song which name starts on B can appear in the middle of songs on C. I am not sure when this problem started, but I believe it started after I updated iTunes to 11.1.1. I tried using older version to no luck. I never found this exact problem with Google, but I didnt find any. With similar problems people said that you should reset your setting and it didnt help me.

  • Maps app is messed up

    Anyone else noticed that the Maps app is messed up? The tiles are displayed in what seems like random order; almost like a puzzle. I've noticed this on my iPad, my iPhone and my wife's iPhone.

    Get AppZapper, a free program that removes apps.  Make sure everything has been removed by checking with Spotlight once the app has been zapped.

  • Is there any danger in closing your apps completely?

    I used to have an android phone and I read were you should just not kill your apps.  Is there any danger in closing your apps completely on the iPhone 4s? To do this I hit the home button twice, hold down on one of the apps until it starts bounching and then close them.

    I too came from an Android and the stupid "need" to close apps all the time in fear of battery drain or performance drop.
    From what I've read and been told by Apple specialist at Verizon, there's no need.
    Its part of the Apple multitasking experience.
    The way I read it and had it explained is, the App running  freezes in its current state once home button it hit.
    You open another App and the previous one is froze in standby. Then you can switch between them and its fast
    They call up much quicker. And they don't use battery while frozen.
    They don't hurt performance either. I've had every App on my phone open at one point(accidentally) because I was used to Android and I never saw a performance drop.
    I also leave them open all day and the battery life is same.
    Apple says, if memory get slow, it will look at latest process vs biggest process and decide which to stop if need be.
    You can close them if you like, it wont hurt, but its nice to have them open for quick use without the fear of battery drain.
    A nice feature coming to Apple.

    I know some have reported bad usage.....and I believe them. But every one of those Ive read were rectified by either a configuration of push not. etc or just a faulty battery.

    There is nothing wrong with the OS update.
    Delete ALL your email accounts.
    Restart Playbook
    Put the accounts back and ensure they are all set with PUSH ON.  Manual (push off) will burn battery.
    Similarly delete your wifi connections and add back when required. 
    Turn off wifi is not connected to wifi. 
    Any "hunting for connection" in email or wifi will burn up battery.

  • U510 Boot Completely Messed Up

    So my u510 was originally installed with Win8, and I wanted to dual boot Ubuntu alongside it, so I shrinked the existing windows volumes slightly in order to make room for the new partition, but in the process of installing I may have royally screwed myself over somehow.
    When I boot up the laptop, the Lenovo logo appears for a short while (can't go into BIOS/BootMenu anymore), then the screen just has a blinking "_" at the top left corner and is unresponsive to any sort of input. 
    In hindsight, I probably should have done this while I wasn't half asleep, as now I don't remember what exactly I was doing anymore. Any idea what I can do to fix this? I'm pretty sure a majority of my data is there, I've just completely messed up one or some of the partitions, as my windows partition was working fine until i restarted and started getting these errors.

    I do have a question like how do you access the BIOS on the computer? Like what keys do you press?

  • Keychains are Completely Messed Up

    Hey there all. So, my friends computer's keychains are completely messed up, and it is the System keychain. 3 months ago it was the login keychain. I, at this point, think that we should just redownload Mavericks and run the installation like a upgrade. Would that fix it, or would something else?

    Try Keychain First Aid first. If that doesn't work, you can reset Keychain completely: Resetting your keychain in Mac OS X
    (Resetting a keychain sets aside the original default keychain file and creates a new one.)
