CC App shows Acrobat but actual install has nothing

In the upper right-hand of my Mac, the CC app that runs there in the "toolbar?" displays the Adobe Acrobat icon, fully updated. But Acrobat does not work on my computer.
So I went to look at the actual installation and there is no Acrobat installed there. Not even a partial version or a screwed up version. Nothing.
I've done a spotlight search and it's not installed anywhere else on the computer either.
What is going on and how do I fix it?
I hate to even type this for fear it will lead someone down a rabbit hole because I really don't think it's relevant. But FWIW, which I think is nothing, the entire Abobe CC installation happens to be on an external drive. This has never caused a problem for any other of the 11 Adobe CC apps I've downloaded, BTW. And it's a necessity for lack of hard-drive space right now. Also, I don't have this problem on my second computer on which the Abobe CC suite is also installed on an external hard-drive.

    Try rebooting your iPad and see if they reappear.
    Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
    If they still do not show up, make sure hat you don't have content restrictions set that could prevent certain apps from showing up on your iPad. Settings>General>RestrictionsAllowed Content.
    if you still don't see them, connect your iPad to iTunes on your computer and you should see them in the iPad mini screens on the right side of iTunes after the iPad has been selected under "devices" and when you are in the apps pane of iTunes.

    Please check with another Email ID that if the Email invite is being send.
    Check the domain of the person whom you are inviting, it might have some securities attached.

    Ipad3 apps show waiting but nothing is happening does anyone know why or what to do

    This can happen from time to time. Something is clogging the download queue on your iPad. See if one of these suggestions helps you get this sorted out.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
    Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
    7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

    What is the problem? can I get rid of this number in front of Apps?

    My problem had different reason, and old app from another store/country, was locking my updates and downloads.Workaround that worked for me; delete app that you bought from different countries stores (you used different login) that maybe getting an auto update, and just leave app being update of the store you are logged on (main store) (I just had one old app) >>> check for downloads in store menu >>> they should start >>>> after download login in the other country store and buy the application again, if store/copyright permits (should be free if you paid before). In summary..auto updates do not work if from multiple/different accounts/country stores. Hope it works. Best

  • Custom Report - Show Deployed, But Not Installed, Security Updates

    I'm trying to create a custom report that will show all patches that have been deployed, but have not been installed for a particular collection. Any ideas?

    Answered my own question.
    This will pull all Security Updates that have been Deployed but are still Required (not installed) for the All Systems collection (SMS00001). You can directly modify the code to limit it to the All Servers or All Workstations depending on your site code. You
    can also change the CategoryInstanceName filter to see different Update Classifications.

  • Nook app show books but cannot open books

    I downloaded the Nook app for my new iPad. No problems for 3 weeks. However, today, I can open the app and it shows the library with appropriate books, but books cannot be opened. I can click on book - and the app closes. Any suggestions?

    Try closing the Nook app via the taskbar and see if it works when you re-open the app : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Nook app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Nook app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    If that doesn't work then also try a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    i don't see how not setting the autoCommit parameter
    has anything to do with this.If autocommit is false then an update will not be committed without an explicit commit()!

    That makes a lot fo difference! It does mean that it is probably not a commit problem but without this extra information my money was on a commit problem. Are you swallowing an exception without reporting it?

  • App shows "loading" but it hanged and cant be opened nor removed

    I have this app "Leme Cam" which is bigger than 20MB and requires updating through wifi or computer. While I was updating other smaller apps using the iphone directly, the phone tried to update this app as well and it hanged with the wording "loading". I tried to update it through itunes on my com but it could not be updated nor removed. Anyone kind soul out there can advice me on what to do? Thanks alot!

    Might be necessary to restore your iPhone at this point but restore as new, not from a backup.
    Connect your iPhone to your computer. Launch iTunes. Select the Summary tab. Make sure there's enough storage space.
    Try this ... Tap Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings. Restart the iPhone, then try syncing that app again.

    When trying to sync apps from itunes to ipad they appear grayed out and you can't select them. *confused

    1.  on the pad, settings, general / restrictions.  make sure that is not on.
    2. if you have multiple devices syncing from the same computer, make sure you have the correct on indicated in the leftside navigation pane of I tunes.

    We have restarted the XI SYSTEM even then there is no change in status....

  • Extractor Checker OK but actual Extract has no data!

    Thanks for taking the time to read my post and for your help in advance
    I have a simple custom function module in ECC6.0 which is getting employee information from LDAP.  This information is then tagged on to a few other fields and sent to BW.
    I created a data source based on this function module and I'm trying to send the data to BW.  The Extractor checker is working fine and shows the right data. However, when I run the infopackage from BW I receive no data!
    I checked the IDOCs as well and noticed that the info IDOCs are sent back to BW with 0 data records, which is telling me that the extractor is not sending back any data, despite it showing the data in the extract checker (RSA3)
    Any thoughts?

    The partner profile is ok, and when I test in RSA3 I see the data the I need - so running the extract in debug mode is fine, however running it in the background mode gives me 0 data records
    I don't think it is an authorization error either !

  • Acrobat won't install.  Nothing happens

    Every time I download Acrobat or Reader, the download completes successfully.  I click the link, and it asks if I want to run the file.  I click "Run."  It then asks me if I want to allow the program to make changes to my computer.  I click "Yes." 
    Then.... nothing happens.  No pop-ups.  No screen jumps.  No cursor icon suggesting that it's thinking.  The only indication that I get that anything even happened is if I open the Windows Task Manager and check "Processes" and there I do find that the program is running (consuming about 13,000 K of memory).  So, if I try to click the icon again, it tells me that only one instance of the program can run at a single time.  I guess the computer thinks that the program is running.  But nothing happens.  I leave the computer sitting for 30 minutes, and still nothing.
    I used to have Reader on the computer, but I uninstalled it thinking that perhaps it was conflicting with my attempt to install Acrobat.  But now, I get the same response (or lack of response) trying to install either program back on my system.
    I'm running Windows 7, 64-bit.  I have no virus issues and no registry issues.  I did download the .exe file and tried to install it with my Norton firewall turned off, with the exact same nothing as with it turned on.  I have restarted my system several times.
    A phone call to TechSupport was NO help.  Anyone have any other ideas?!!?  I need my computer for work, and I've already lost an entire day without having at least Reader running on my system.  HELP!!!

    Man, I have been at this all day!  For the record I followed the instructions here:

    I even had to download unlocker.  So now I have third party stuff to get rid of -
    CAN ANYONE HELP ME?  I notice other posts that happen after I started posting are getting plenty of responses - is this problem already answered in the forums?  I have searched through them, but if I am missing something obvious, please, please tell me! 
    I am a newbie.  I don't really know anything about computers.  I have just been following the bread crumbs. 
    The problem always comes down to the lack of permissions when installing the activex.vxc.5 in the Windows sysWOW64. 
    The only conclusions i have reached is that the problem is either user control oriented or active x control oriented.
    but i have tried all the roots and it seems my account is not corrupted, and AVG, and or my internet security settings are not disallowing active x installation. 
    so now i am starting to get paranoid that my user account has been hijacked and i am running a shadow or something without complete control. 
    i also forgot to mention that i run CC cleaner now and then - is it possible this has deleted important files?

  • TS1702 App gets stuck and says installing.  Nothing more happens.

    Tried to install the Pinterest app from the App Store.  However, the app icon says installing on both the App Store location and it says waiting on my home page.  I cannot delete the icon on my home page since no x appears next to the icon.  I tried installing a different app from the App Store and it worked fine.  But the Pinterest app still says installing.  I also tried rebooting my iPad and reset the settings, but this is still stuck.  Any suggestions?

    If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.
    Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.
