CC application file sync issue and CC App broken menu..

1. File sync from Photoshop CC has stopped working.
Photoshop reports the last sync time and date in edit>sync settings.
However in my Application settings I get the following..
Application settings are synced between many of your favorite desktop applications and Creative Cloud, allowing you to work consistently from any machine. To begin syncing, you will need to open your desktop application and click "Sync Settings Now".
You currently do not have any synced settings.
2. I have missing menu items in the CC app cog menu (I assume as reported on other threads) including "stop syncing", preferences/settings and other blank or greyed out items.
Prior to that I had the also reported dead CC app issue and uninstalled and reinstalled the app, which fixed dead app but left the munu broken.

Since the CC app messed up again and yet another reinstall, it is working (sort of, after several sync failures of lrcat) properly, including the menu, all be it very slowly considering the fast upload I have.
As is the setting sync finally.
Thanks for keeping me informed, oh wait, you didn't!

  • Since up grading to new OS Lion  my iPhone iPod and iPad  all give me sync issues  they load apps , music , books , movies , but refuse photos  and the sync ends with an error 50 message most times  , yes  I have re booted  reinstalled new i Tunes  help !

    Wow, I've logged into adobe and never seen your response until now.
    I need to make the forums more of a daily stop I guess.
    Thank you for your response, When I go to the Archives, it states I have none. In addition, previously when I'd tried to move items to the archive, they just disappeared  
    Currently my desktop is not connecting at all, Everytime I connect, it's states "We have now logged you out" and requests I login again.
    I have of course rebooted,
    Gone into taskmanager, killed all the relevant threads,  tried again to login through the desktop, no luck, I'll have to uninstall it, make sure the threads are killed, then reboot it and then reinstall it, but I've not had the time to do that.
    On another note, and just as a point of reference, myself, personally, I hate these "cloud" file repositories (not to be confused with adobe cloud services which I love) but the file repositories themselves imho, are a blackhole of resource usage when one doesn't/isn't using them,
    Is there a way we can use it more of a "ftp" sort of thing, when I want to I can  put files there?  There is no way to "Download" the repository, no way to download the folders.. only individual files and then it takes I think three different steps before the download starts.. I find this very inhibiting.  Just an fyi. for what it's worth.

    Hi Guys, I hava a problem and I need help please
    here in my country they block many sites and many apps like  also at work the IT is blocking some sites also.
    is there any application to unblock sites and other apps??? 
    I have a friend has a Sony Ericson Mobile with android OS and he has an app called orbot and it works perfectly.

    Hmm, Orbot is a native Tor client for Android.  I did some looking, and there doesn't appear to be a Tor client for Symbian, native or Java-based.  There is a version for the Nokia N900, but its Maemo OS is built from Linux (just like Android), which likely made porting much easier.  So for now there are no Symbian solutions...until somebody writes one.
    On the other hand, Tor is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux computers.  See https://www.torproject.org .  With Tor installed on such a computer, you could then use WiFi on your C6 to utilize its features.  I hope that helps a little.

  • Creative Cloud Files – Syncing issues/Bandwidth hogging – Does it ever work?

    Having been a Dropbox user for several years I was keen to start using the 100gb of Creative Cloud storage to enable me to work on a project from home and pick up where I left off in the office.
    However it simply doesn't work properly!
    For example:
    I worked from home on Monday and Tuesday on a project. All the files were successfully uploaded from my home Mac within seconds/minutes. I came into work on Wednesday and the files had not appeared in my CC Files folder. I rebooted my Mac and paused and restarted the sync and left it running, a couple of the files appeared but the process seems to hang fairly quickly. I've left it running overnight and my files have still not synced! the status bar at the bottom of the CC app shows "Syncing file 7 of 181 (9hr left)" but it never gets any further.
    When syncing is switched on and running the process kills all the bandwidth of my work Mac causing outgoing emails to spend up to an hour in my outgoing mail queue, slowing web browsing to a crawl, hampering any other web usage/downloads/streaming/remote access etc. To prevent this I changed the preferences to only allow CC 50% of the available upload and download bandwidth.
    I have repeatedly logged out/rebooted my Mac, closed and relaunched the CC app, paused and restarted the sync process and run the
    rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/CoreSync/options.tix
    command in Terminal as suggested in another thread.
    The files I am syncing are not even that large, in total I am only using around 3% of my storage.
    Am I on my own in experiencing these issues? Or are other people suffering too?

    In order for us to take a deeper look at what's happening here, we would need to take a look at the log files on both your machines.  The location of the coresync.log file is included below.
    Could you also tell me what version of the Creative Cloud Desktop app you're using (from preferences) and the spec of the Macs?
    Log file location:
    Mac - /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/CoreSync-yyyy-mm-dd.log
    (On Mac, you need to use the Go To Folder option from the Go option in Finder (menu at the top).  Then in the pop up enter:
    /users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CoreSync/
    Then select go, this will take you to the folder containing the .log files.)

    I'm wondering how to get these notices to stop popping up. Apparently somebody else on the Apple Discussions board was experiencing the same issue: http://discussions.info.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11323580&tstart=0 Somebody claimed that he did the following:
    * I switched the filesync to manual
    * I deleted all files in ~/.FileSync/ on the local computer
    * I deleted all files in ~/.FileSync/ on the server
    * made a manual sync
    * switched back the filesync to automatic
    However, I'm not even sure how to do this. Do I need to open Terminal and type in some commands?
    Anybody have any ideas/advice?

    My only suggestion is the same as the others.... I'd isolate your computer from internet access, quit, re-start, find the offending file, trash it, delete it, then re-start one more time, re-connect to the internet, and see how it goes.
    This sounds like you are syncing files online somewhere, and something has gotten out of whack.

    I hope the above is readable. I'm concerned with the very high number of Waits and Timeouts, particulary around the log file sync event. From reading around I suspect that the disk our redo log sits on isn't fast enough.
    1) Is this conclusion correct, are these timeouts excessively high (70% seems high...)?
    2) I see high waits on almost every other event (but not timeouts), is this pointing towards an incorrect database database setup (give our very high loads of 160 executes second?
    Any help would be much appreciated.

    It looks like your disk storage can't keep up with the volume of I/O requests from your database.
    The first few thing need to look at, what're IO intensive SQLs in your database. Are these SQLs doing unnecessary full table scan?
    Find out the hot blocks and the objects they belong.
    Check v$session_wait view.
    Is there any other suspicious activity going on in your Server ? Like other program other than Oracle doing high IO activities? Are there any core dump going on?

  • Syncing issues and avoiding losing at&t unlimited plan if restore is used

    I am suddenly having syncing issues when I try and sync my 3G ipad.
    I am not sure what has caused this. I did take advantage of last week's software update. Now, when I turn the ipad on, there is a graphic of a serial cord, and when I do get it to connect with itunes, it urges me to restore
    the software.
    I was one of the early purchasers of the ipad, and so qualified for the AT&T unlimited flat rate per month plan. I don't want to lose this subscription.
    I had an Apple express appt. this morning, but never received the phone call!
    I even tried to cancel it online after 30 minutes elapsed, but received the message that the "communication was unavailable!"
    I am wondering if anyone with this special plan has gone through the restore process, and if that ended up wiping out your election for the 3G plan,
    and caused a hassle for you. I like having this $30/mo plan and don't want
    to lose it. Thanks in advance for any advice.

    One other person posted that he lost his plan during the update. If you loose your plan all you have to do is call AT&T to get it reinstated. SInce your iPad says connect to iTunes, you have to restore your iPad. You have no other choice.

    Try looking for your files with Spotlight Search
    1. From any Home screen page of iPad, drag your finger down anywhere on the center of Home screen.
    2. Spotlight search will now appear and you can search for apps, texts, or any other content you'd like just as you did on previous versions of iOS.

  • Itunes 9.0 wont sync facebook and other apps

    i just downloaded itunes 9.0 and for soem reason it wont allow several apps to syn to my itouch. one of which is facebook. it syncs over most of my apps but for some reason it wont sync facebook. I check the box for the sync, then sync the itouch, it will say facegook is being installed, but at the end of the sync, it automatically "unchecks" the box for facebook and the app in never sync'd over. it happens will about 7 other apps. any ideas??

    I have the exact thing going on. DLd itunes 9 this morning and have spent the last two hours going blind reading forums. I guess it's something to do with individual apps. After completely removing the .ipa for each problem app, I tried re-downloading from both itunes(didn't work) and from the App Store via my itouch then transfering back into the itunes library. Nothing worked.
    What's funny is they all list in the itunes library fine, and will even attempt to sync but the sync lasts about one second, then unchecks the problem apps as if I never really checked them. Here are my problem apps:

  • IPhone Sync issue (and album art messed up)

    Whenever I sync my iPhone with iTunes, instead of just updating the media I have changed, it will randomly add anywhere between 30 to 300 songs that were already on my iPhone. It doesn't cause any problems with using the iPhone other then the fact that it takes a really long time to sync even when I don't change anything or add new media to sync with the iPhone.
    So far I have:
    -made sure I have the latest updates of iTunes and all software
    -re-set iSync
    -done an archive and install
    -had a genius appointment at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store and
    -they replaced my iPhone
    ...but my problems still exist. And on top of that, all of the album artwork on the iPhone is jumbled up. It looks fine in cover flow, but when I switch to the normal mode it will be the wrong artwork with the wrong song. My album artwork in itunes is not jumbled up, but all of the artwork for the movies and tv shows I have bought and downloaded from the iTunes Store has disappeared and I can't get it back by searching for album artwork.
    So, to recap, my 3 main problems are.
    1) iPhone Sync issue
    2) Album artwork jumbled up on iPhone
    3) TV Show and Movie artwork disappearing on iTunes
    If anyone can help your time would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

    My friend has been using an iPad (first generation) and he recently upgaded the software to iOS5.
    Lately, he has been having issues with the software: he cannot sync music to and from his iPad and he is having issues with the synced videos and their artwork.
