CC Application updates history web page.

Why does not Adobe put online a web page with all the list of most recent updates for all CC applications? That would clear the doubts that something is wrong with AAM or CC desktop not displaying any update request for weeks.

But if you're looking in the App Store on the iPad, in the Updates area, and you still see the icons, they presumably now say "Open" to the right instead of "Update". They will stay that way as a history of what you have done. They will disappear after a while - something like 30 days. That is fine.

Could anyone please tell me how do i launch a java application (which is not an applet) by clicking a button on a web page?
Does the application have to be converted to .exe? And if so how do i do it?
The application is on my PC not on a server.

Java WebStart is a pretty good technology for that purpose. Installing and launching a Java application on a local machine has always been a burdensome task. JWS really remedies that. The cool thing about JWS is that it works for both web and client applications. The technology introduces a new file format called jnlp which tells a program called "Java Web Start Application Manager" where the resources, typically a single jar file, are located. Check out

I've updated a web page and now the links will not open in any browser except safari

I've updated a web site and the links no longer work. I'm using Dreamweaver. The page works perfectly in Safari but not in Explorer or Firefox and I don't know what to change to fix this.

I thought I did post the page. Anyway, I did solve the problem. I'm working in Dreamweaver on files originally created in GoLive. The CSS from GL has to be completely expunged from the file or Firefox has this issue (doesn't respond to links). This, even though the problem had no obvious connection to the linked text. Interestingly, images with links worked fine.
I spent 45 minutes on the line with Adobe tech support and they didn't catch this. But while talking to them it occurred to me.

Passing username and password to Forms Application from a web page

Hi,
I have a web application where the user needs to login and browse some web pages.One of the links on this page
calls a forms application. How do I pass the userid and password from the web application to the forms application
so that the user doesnot need to login once again.

should not show up in the URL or the user should not be
allowed to view the password by clicking on
"View Source" on the browser.
How can I call the forms application in such a way so that the user password doesnot show up?

you update your site by going to iWeb and hitting the publish button! this will copy all the files up again and your site is online.
if you start to have a bigger page you can only upload the changes (pages that are in red in the site organizer) by going File/Publish To .Mac!
to autoplay music see here. when you re-publish your site you have to do the same stuff over again!

Pushing database updates to Web Pages

Newbie Question..
We are looking to force Web Pages to be updated when the contents of the database have changed.
The overhead of having the Web Page refresh every few seconds would not be acceptable.
Pages could be supported by Cold Fusion, JSP, etc whichever is easiest to integrate with pushing data.
Where do I start my homework / reading ?
What are the best Key Words to use when searching for answers?

JProgress bar automatic updation as web page uploads

hi,
I am new java programmer. I am supposed to make a Java browser with some functions similar to Internet Explorer.
As I started Swing just a week back, I am really bad at it. Though i finished all the other parts, just one thing to add a final touch i need is to create a Jprogress bar which gets updated automatically as page is uploaded. Can anyone help me about that? I have studied the tutorials on JProgressBar and was able to create a timer based bar but not a bar that woks as a status bar i.e. as the page is uploaded.
I would be very very grateful if anyone could guide me.

You could use a 'fake' progress bar (that moves independently). That's what even Internet Explorer does. You cannot know anyways if or when a page will be loaded. Just let something move to let the user know that something is still going on. Do you know what I mean? Even an animated GIF could do the job.
A smarter way would be to let the progress bar show different constant values depending on what is happening: 10% when the request was sent, 20% when the server is contacted, 30% when the server responds and so on.

?My password won't open my website to update it, even tho I changed my password, before looked up keychain, etc, etc..How can I update my web page when it tells me I have an incorrect password which I just changed?

Please detail all you have done to resolve your issue. Need this information so that the users can avoid the "been there, done that" scenario type responses. This is to avoid repeating the troubleshooting you may have already tried. Thank you.

Robohelp 11 - updates to web page not visible in Firefox...ok in other browsers

We use Robohelp 11 to create help pages.
Often we notice that when we make changes and republish a page, the changes take a while to be visible in Firefox and Chrome, but tend to be immediately visible in Internet Explorer.
On this occasion we changed a page around two months ago (updated links for new embedded YouTube videos). I can see the new videos in Chrome and IE, but still see the old videos in Firefox 31.0, despite having cleared my cache.
Worried that users won't see updates.
Anyone experienced similar?

Why don't Firefox load the updated JCPenney web page?

I've just spent nearly an hour on the phone with JCPenney, and then we got cut off. The gal is telling me where things are at on their new web site, and I'm telling her that no such thing appears on my page.
After we got cut off I opened Google Chrome just for the heck of it and used my LastPass to login to JCPenney. LO & BEHOLD!!!! All those things the gal was trying to tell me are on the page -- are actually on the page.
Now why will Google Chrome load JCPenney's new web site while Firefox continues to load the old site?

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Clear Firefox's Cache
orange Firefox button ''or'' Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
2. If needed, delete the site's cookies here -- note: if you are in the middle of a purchase, this might clear your cart
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?

HT1338 I've updated my web page in iWeb, but I can't get it to publish

I have updated my website in iWeb, but when I go to publsih the changes it seems to take very long and although when I try to quit it asks if I really want to because it's publsihing it doesn't appear to be doing anything. The last time I updated, it didn't take long to publish, just long for my changes to actually appear on my website. I am publishing to my own URL, not through mobile me. Any advice?

You need to post the steps you took, exactly what is happening, what OS version are you running (32 or 63 bit). No one can begin to help you unless we have more information to try and figure out what is happening.
It sounds like you got iTunes to upgrade and are trying to download the ios5 upgrade for your iPad. Correct? First things to try:
1) reboot your pc
2). Turn off firewall and anti-virus
3). Try again and post the results with any error messages you may get.

New update and web page problems

After updating to new is on 3GS having problems bring up some webpages. I was able to view them with previous os.

Your wording is kinda crazy, but try this:
sync your iphone to your itunes, making sure to back up contacts, notes..etc.. then do a factory reset and install your iPhone as a new device, then back it up with the previous backup of the phone.
