CC completely blank

When I download CC from my Adobe account it installs and launches, but the dialogue box is completely blank; I cannot sign in or do anything except go to help. I have CC on my desktop already, this machine, the one I'm trying to install it on, is a laptop/tablet hybrid, running Win 8.1 (not RT) with 2Gb ram and a Bay-Trail Atom quad core. Any suggestions,
John

Thanks John, I noticed that but it's for an upgrade, rather than a first time installation (which I'm trying to do) and it didn't seem as though it would work. I'll try it and see what happens,
John

the problem started when my computer screen broke from something falling on it, the screen was replaced but the people that fixed it for me told me there may be some hard disk issues when a problem like this happens, they ran their own checks and found nothing and i was given my laptop back, then when i tried to use it, i found this problem. everything else works fine.
i have shutdown and re-started my computer multiple times and i have also re-started finder multiple times, both having no effect
i have also done a few other things to find that my apple.com.finder.plist and apple.com.sidebar.plist are both missing, and are not re-creating themselves, i have found no way to bring them back either.
any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

there is an app called daisydisk on mac app store which will help you see exactly where the memory is focused and consumed try using that app and see which folders are using more memory

    Hello there, Kyle.Kuz.
The following Knowledge Base article that provides some helpful pointers to help resolve your issue is:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
    Specifically:
Will not turn on, will not turn on unless connected to power, or unexpected power off
Verify that the Sleep/Wake button functions. If it does not function, inspect it for signs of damage. If the button is damaged or is not functioning when pressed, seek service.
Check if a Liquid Contact Indicator (LCI) is activated or there are signs of corrosion. Learn about LCIsand corrosion.
Connect the iPhone to the iPhone's USB power adapter and let it charge for at least ten minutes.
After at least 15 minutes, if:
The home screen appears: The iPhone should be working. Update to the latest version of iOS if necessary. Continue charging it until it is completely charged and you see this battery icon in the upper-right corner of the screen . Then unplug the phone from power. If it immediately turns off, seek service.
The low-battery image appears, even after the phone has charged for at least 20 minutes: See "iPhone displays the low-battery image and is unresponsive" symptom in this article.
Something other than the Home screen or Low Battery image appears, continue with this article for further troubleshooting steps.
If the iPhone did not turn on, reset it while connected to the iPhone USB power adapter.
If the display turns on, go to step 4.
If the display remains black, go to next step.
Connect the iPhone to a computer and open iTunes. If iTunes recognizes the iPhone and indicates that it is in recovery mode, attempt to restore the iPhone. If the iPhone doesn't appear in iTunes or if you have difficulties in restoring the iPhone, see this article for further assistance.
If restoring the iPhone resolved the issue, go to step 4. If restoring the iPhone did not solve the issue, seek service.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

have you tried charging the device ?
if so and it still does not work you can try a Forced Recovery..
by holding the HOME button down and plugging it into your computer at the same time..

  • My Firefox browser will open just fine, but the page is completely blank when it pulls up. Please help!

My laptop got infected with some kind of a trojan. I ran a full scan using my virus protection software, and after quite a bit of work (including a system restore), the infection seems to have been cleaned up and removed.
The problem I'm having now, is when I open my Firefox web browser page, it pulls up, but the page is completely blank. There is literally nothing in the page, no tabs, no home page, nothing. So, I cannot access the internet right now using Mozilla Firefox. I'm having to send this out via IE, which I do not like to use anymore. I was not having any issues with my Firefox web browser, until my pc got infected. Please help!

It is best to do a clean reinstall after doing a system restore in case some files got mixed up.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    * Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
    * Uninstall your current Firefox version.
    * Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
    * It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox.
Also remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If it won't startup in Safe Mode, then try Startup Manager or the Apple Hardware Test from your original Install Disc.

  • File Info panel is completely blank

    Hello,
I'm trying to add copyright information into my file metadata.  When I go to File -> File Info, a window frame pops up but is completely blank inside, no text, no forms, no nothing.  I have to press escape to get out of it and back to the program.  This occurs in Bridge, Photoshop and Illustrator.  I'm using CS6 Production Premium on Windows Vista 64 with 16 GB RAM, an AMD Athlon Phenom II X6 1090T 3.20 Ghz processor and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 250 graphics card.  I have made sure all of my programs are up to date and I can't find anything in any help forums about this.  Please help.
    Thank you,
    Timothy C. Flood

Does metadata actualyl show in Bridge's metadata panel? Have you checked the preferences? This issue usually occurs when you have an invalid custom data field. You may simply need to reset everything.

I have completed a software update as prompted. However, all "Pages" and "Numbers" files are completely blank. Please advise

Hi... Sorry for delay. I've been away working.
I have just completed another software update as prompted again, and I'm still having problems.
Nearly all my software won't open. It doesn't matter if it's relatively old software I brought over from my last Mac or new software I've purchased from the App store within the last year or two. It always says whatever software I'm trying to open has "quit unexpectedly"
My Mail, App store, Stickies and Safari seem to work, but most other things won't.
I've run a verify disk permissions and a repair disk permissions, but this message appears... Maybe it is a clue to the problem if you understand these things:
Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired.
    Please advise...
    Best wishes
    Anton

  • Album artwork area is completely blank

So as the title says, the area where my artwork is supposed to go, at the top of iTunes is completely blank. I don't mean there's black boxes w/ question marks that I can scroll through, there is a black rectangle where the artwork is supposed to go. How the heck to I get iTunes to display the artwork up there?

Is you iTunes folder in the default location or did you move/install in a different location like external hard drive?

  • Exporting an hour long movie and part of the output is completely blank

I have an hour long project which is very simple with very few clips and transitions.
I have exported as Pro Res 422 (Master File) and in the export window I can skim through the clip and all seems fine. When I export a whole chunk in the middle is completly blank! No video or audio.
The parts before and after are fine. In fact the same clip appears all the way through, and the blank part is referencing the same clip as the other sections. The blank section is from 26min to 57 mins (if you can see from the screenshot)
I have checked all the media is in the Event folder and not referenced elsewhere. I have tried to delete render files etc.
I am using the latest FCPX.
Has anyone else encountered this? Very weird

Hi Russ. Original footage is ProRes 422 (recorded on an Atomos Samurai). I copied into the event when I imported and did not need to optimize.
The 1st time I exported as above, the middle section was blank.
The 2nd time I exported (after deleting render files) the first section was blank.
I am now attempting to join the 2 sections together and re-export!!!
Apart from the single video clip, I have used a number of jpegs and under each jpeg is a custom black generator to produce a black background under the images. I wonder if they are causing it or maybe there is a jpeg with some weird resolutions or something.

  • Help!  Desktop completely blank and finder not opening

    Hello
I was using iTunes last night and went away to make a cup of coffee. When I went back to it, the screen was flickering all over the place and only stopped when I closed the lid down and re-opened it. The screen returned to normal, but when I closed down iTunes and then tried to do the same with Finder, the 'spinning wheel of death' cropped up. So I went into Forced Quit to try to shut them down altogether.
The shut down didn't work and since then the desktop has been completely blank. Also, although Finder is indicated as being open on the dock, the taskbar at the top is competely blank when I close all other applications down. I can open other applications (hence being able to get online here!) but when I try to close the computer down, nothing happens.
    So to summarise...
Finder is not responding and will not let me close it down
The Computer will not close down at all
I can't get into a Finder window in order to delete things to free up memory.
HELP!!! To add to misery, it's a work laptop!!!
    Thanks!
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    thanks for that.
Unfortunately i have next to no memory left to be able to download this. Have been trying to delete some files and music to make some room, but cannot do this without Finder (vicious circle!!)
    any more options?!!

  • Mail is Completely Blank and Crashes - Mavericks on MBP Retina

I upgraded my MBP to Mavericks. Everything was absolutely perfect -no errors at all. I came home tonight and when booting up my MBP I was prompted to setup new mail accounts - mail app was wiped clean.
Tried to reinstate iCloud and it did not work. When the Mail app opens it is completely blank - no accounts listed. I have to force shutdown as it is also frozen. I must have indadvertantly deleted something from my Library (a required file). My library was visible in Finder - I'm just assuming.
Where do I look for the cause to determine how to restore the mail application and its contents??
    Thanks for any suggestions.

  • New version of yahoo mail - completely blank contact page (no tabs, columns, or contacts) but on internet explorer works fine

I just got the newest version of Yahoo Mail and on Internet Explorer everything works fine. On Firefox, the contact page is completely blank ( no tabs, columns, or contact information)

Yahoo have acknowledged my emails and have now resolved this problem. It was obviously at their end and only started with their new mail client.
