CC Cylinder (Coca Cola effect)- Rotating logo

Hello everyone,
I am having problems trying to copy this Coca Cola effect at the end of the video.[http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LGh0Uuo895c | http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=LGh0Uuo895c]
I did it with the CC Cylinder effect on the logo and use alpha matte to the bottle.
The problem appears when I do the zoom in (adding a 3d null object to the precomposition also in 3d). The image don't look sharp, but I cannot activate the Continuous Rasterization because that needs every layer to be in 3d, and then the CC CYLINDER CORRUPTS.
I would really appreciate your help.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH,
Elbire

    Looks like this bug was fixed as of yesterday - I'd like to know
    when there will be a patch available to users. I bought Flex 3 just
    in the last few weeks, so it would be nice if I could get a free
    patch. However, my main concern is how to do a workaround. I can't
    deliver my application with this problem, and if the patch is not
    available, I don't have an alternative. Is there a way to access
    the selection rectangle object and set its rotation
    explicitly?

    Thanks, Michel.
    I forgot to mention one point about copying shape layers into one shape layer:  when you initially use the Shape Selection tool to select a shape for cutting, make sure the option for the Shape Selection tool is set to "Add to Selection".

    in Macromedia Flash8 we had an option insert>timeline effects>rotate. Do we have any option to rotate an object in Adobe Flash cs5 and above.

    You can also use the following:
    1 Select the object to rotate > Right Click > Create Motion Tween.
    2 Click on the last frame of the Motion tween and choose the desired Rotation settings from Properties panel.

    How can i apply this glowing effect in logo | ThemeForest Community Forums

    I would make several copies of the original artwork.  On each copy, section the individual areas to be gradients. It looks like you have at least four gradients, both linear and radial.  It's just a matter of building each section and then reassembling each.  Not too complex, yet nice piece of artwork.

  • Can you make a 3d rotating logo with illustrator to put on a website?

    Hello! I need to make a rotating 3d logo for a website. Sort of like flash without flash. I tried gif builder but it didn't offer a rototing image. The logo is prettty much 3d already just need someway of getting it to rotate on a webpage. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!!

    As has already been mentioned, making the ubiquitous spinning extruded logo is considerably less tedious in other (and much cheaper) programs, like Xara 3D or Xara Designer. The lighting & shading is also better, because its output is raster.
    But let's face it; spinning icons stopped being exciting about 15 years ago. It's about as stimulating these days as a slide transition in Powerpoint. There is no "wow" factor anymore. So one has to ask, what is worth the bother of doing it in Illustrator?
    Three things:
    First, if scaleability on the web page is required, the output frames need to be vector. (But don't go crazy with it. Instant-gratification features that try to do the illustrator's work for him [like 3D Effect] usually generate absurdly complicated constructs with far too many objects for practical vector animation.)
    Second, practically speaking, Illustrator's value in this regard is limited to what must be frame-by-frame animations. For example, this simple animation is vector, and it's arguably more intersting than yet another logo spinning on its axis. But it's inadvisable for this animation to be built as frame-by-frame. There's nothing about it that requires frame-by-frame. It's just two vector paths that change over time in scale and rotation. Rotation and scale be scripted in Flash. The result is smoother and more supple animation, more efficient file size, and the real power of Flash, which is interactvity.
    Example
    Third, if you're going to justify the tedium of Illustrator, look for things that actually require Illustrator. For example, there's certainly nothing special about Blends. But one of the most important differentiating aspects of Blends in AI is that you can blend between live effects (and not just 3D Effect). The next example below exploits the peculiar nature of a Warp Effect's remaining oriented to the page as the object to which it is applied rotates. The example will be rasterized upon output, but the live vector Envelope and its blending expedites its creation. (The animation is on page 11 of the PDF. Allow the yellow alert to enable embedded media. Click in the middle of the page to start the SWF) :
    Example.
    Another Example.
    Jay,
    I don't know which of the above-described steps you are having trouble with. If it's the concept of using top-level Layers and removing the unwanted extra at the end of the loop, see this example:

  • Best way to put 3D effect on logo?

    I am using FCP Studio and on most video I work on there is some sort of 3D fly in of the companies logo at the beginning of the video. when I was using Pinnacle Liquid, I would just add a 3d effect to the logo and adjust the parameters inside the effect. Now on FCP, what is the best way to animate a logo? Do I add a "Basic 3D" filter in the Perspective folder in the effects menu? This seems a little clunky because you have to go to different tabs (filter and motion) to do the adjusting. Would I want to use motion for this? Sorry if these are simple questions, but I am just getting up to full speed on FCP.
    Thanks for the help!
    John Schenkel

    Hi John,
    Basic 3D will give you a 3D motion (x,y, and z space) but there is no depth to the object.
    Boris Title 3D will give you the ability to fake depth but if you move the object around it's still 2D.
    If you're looking for a fly in you should explore After Effects, Boris Grafitti, Zaxwerks, or 3D Studio Max.
    I'm hopeful Apple will include some sort of simple 3D titling or objects in the next version of FCP or Motion.

  • After Effects rotating image issue

    I am trying to rotate a circluar image created in photoshop.  Image looks similar to a donut.  The composition Pixel aspect ratio is D1 (0.9).  No matter what combination of Pixels aspects I use in the PSD file.  The image looks distoted when rotated.  I can move, resize, and change just about any aspect of the image, but when I rotate, it goes from looking like a circle to looking like an oval. Any help would be apprciated.

    In after effects, I tried pixel aspect ratio at both Square and DV1 (0.9) and still does not work correctlly.
    I think I tried every combination of pixel aspect ratios (Square and DV (0.9)  in both Photshop and AE with no luck.  If I leave pixwl aspects as square, in photoshop and then import into  AE and leave interpret as square, the imaage looks oval from the start but does rotate proeprly, If I change the the Interpret in AE to 0.9 it looks fine from the start but turn oval when rotating.  Similar happens if I change the pixel aspect in PS first.

  • MX and Spark Rotate effects in Flex 4.5

    I'm porting an application from Flex 3.1 to 4.5 and having following problems with the Rotate effect:
    1. I want to keep using mx.effects.Move, but the originX and originY properties of mx.effects.Rotate in 4.5 do not work correctly.
    It seems no effect on location of the rotation center, which is always (0,0) no matter what values you set.
    Is this a bug with MX effects in 4.5. I'm using the trial version.
    2. Adobe suggests to use Spark effects, but I can not use spark.effects.Rotate because there are no originX and originY properties with it.
    The rotation center for Spark Rotate is (0,0). It seems cannot be changed.
    Any suggestions?

    1. Is the element you are animating inside of a spark container?
    2. Try using the transformX/transformY properties on the element itself rather than on the effect.

  • (My post isn't showing up?) Sound effect muffles/is louder than the other audio layers

    I want to point out that the last time I posted this, the discussion was completely blank. This is a repost and hopefully it won't be blank this time
    In my most recent short movie, I decided that I would focus a lot more on sound than I normally do, so bought a microphone, a recorder and a boom pole etc. I also decided to implement more sound effects (Bear in mind that I'm 16, not a professional).
    Here's the video -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGkrFVZ0e5I (I think embedding the video was causing problems with posting)
    Note that at about 0:10 seconds in, you can hear an alarm ringing, but also a sort of 'thump' sound (It's actually the sound of a vault opening/closing). You couldn't hear it normally, so I turned the bass up on it to 17dB. When playing it back in the timeline, it sounds perfectly fine, but when I export the video, much like the attached one, it's muffled and you can't hear the alarm or anything else.
    Unfortunately I didn't have time to try and fix it, also that scene takes a while to export so I couldn't quite do any trial and error.
    Now however, I'm going to enter the video into a small competition, so I thought I'd try and fix it...because it does sound terrible/unprofessional.
    Any suggestions? Remember, it sounds perfect (In my opinion) when playing it back in the timeline. I'm using Premiere Pro CS5.5 on an 11,2 (October 2010) iMac running Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8, it's also being exported to a G-Drive FireWire 800 hard drive, not a RAID, perhaps that could be a problem?

    "One thing which is realistically within your reach at this time and could really help you on future projects is if you can come up with some sort of beginning, middle and end"
    That's one of the problems, people kept saying "Oh, this line's too long..." and shortnening it, and like Jim said "If you can't fire people, you're at their mercy" so I can't exactly deduct pay or anything...because they're not being paid
    They even started saying "Woah! We've completely changed the script! hahaha!". Just shows how little they actually cared. And the script really was changed, I would send you the script but I don't want to veer too far from the topic
    "You may need to find some way to compensate them for their time though"
    I was going to bring a box of Coca Cola, but I thought it would be a bit hard to carry around...and I was kind of glad I didn't because I don't feel they quite deserved it and they were already a bit hyper. Maybe it would have gone better if I did bring the Coke, but I'll definitely order some pizza next time.
    "Just software."
    Great software that is! I don't know where I'd be without the student discount.
    Anyway let's get back to the question.
    I glanced at this a bit - http://www.uaudio.com/blog/understanding-audio-phase/
    And tried using the original MP3. It still didn't sound good.
    I then tried exporting the sound on its own, with the bass, then imported it, but it still didn't sound as good.
    I asked my friend (Who happens to also have the surname 'Curtis') and he said "just sounds to me like you have it so loud that it's clipping" and suggested that I "multitrack" it, basically layer several of them on top of each other, but that didn't work either.
    He decided to add the bass in and fix the 'clipping'. It sounded good, but once imported, you could barely hear it, so I thought I'd try putting the bass up to 17dB like before...had the same problem. It seems to only sound nice/fitting with the 17dB bass...am I just going to have to turn it down and live with it?

  • How do I Overlay a Logo on top of a SWF, inside an HGroup ?

    Hi Folks,
    I use an HGroup to within it, horizontally and vertically center a SWF.
    Now, I would like to position a Logo at the HGroup's x,y=0,0 position.
    While the logo need to be positioned in the top left corner, the [re]size and [re]position of SWF is not to be affected by the Logo. In effect, the logo is to have not effect on any of the layouts of whatever it visually overlays.
    How do I do this?
    Thanks for your help,
    VC

    My brain got fried with all of the previous SWFLoader positioning and centering - so much that I had to stop and clear my head and then this became an easy case of putting the HGroup and the Logo inside a BorderContainer.  I had inadvertently placed the Logo inside of HBox.

  • Rotated images in timeline

    How does Premiere Elements work?
    I have rotated images that have been shot at different orientations in the Organizer.
    When I insert these images into the timeline in Elements 9 the image reverts to its former orientation.
    I thought the orientation would be preserved when copying from Organizer.
    David

    David,
    Most image viewers, like Organizer, do not initially actually Rotate an image, but just add instructions to the metadata, indicating how to display the image. One must do a Save/Save_As to actually affect the pixels. This process differs, depending on the viewer used. In Bridge (the big-brother to Organizer, and shipping/installing with PS, AI, PrPro, InDesign, AE), one just does a Save/Save_As, depending on whether one wishes to physically overwrite the existing image. Then, the pixels are actually re-arranged. Not sure exactly how (or if) PrE's Organizer handles the physical re-arrangement of the pixels.
    PrE (and PrPro) will read the pixels, and not the metadata for the display.
    In the NLE (Non Linear Editor) programs, one would follow Neale's advice, and use the fixed Effect>Rotation.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Rotation Problems

    I have a canvas on which i drag and drop an image and user
    has an option to rotate it. When image is rotated using
    mx.effects.Rotate it adds extra space to canvas size.. means
    increases maximum horizontal and vertical scroll positions. After
    banging my head with walls I dropped the idea of rotating it with
    effect and used the following code, but it also showed the same
    problem. I do not want to use BitmapData to redraw as do not want
    to lose image quality. Also image size needs to be adjusted after
    rotation. Please help, badly stuck :(
    var m : Matrix = img.transform.matrix;
    var p:Point = m.transformPoint(new Point(img.width/2,
    img.height/2));
    m.translate(-p.x, -p.y);
    m.rotate(angle)
    m.translate(p.x, p.y);
    img.transform.matrix = m;

    I have concluded that BitmapData does not reduce the image
    quality. So got the solution to my problem, please find attached
    the code, might help someone.
    first of all
    //duplicate image.content as Bitmap and save for further use
    in Rotation
    var imageBitmapData : BitmapData =
    Bitmap(image.content).bitmapData;
    image.data.content = new Bitmap(imageBitmapData);
    //then use the following method for rotating image
    private function rotateImage(image: Image, degrees : Number)
    : void {
    image.addEventListener("sourceChanged",
    onImageLoadCompleteHandle);
    var matrix : Matrix = getRotatedMatrix(image, degrees);
    this. image.source = getBitmapImageOfRotatedMatrix(image,
    matrix, degrees);
    //gets the rotated matrix for a new Matrix();
    private function getRotatedMatrix(image : Image, degrees :
    Number) : Matrix {
    var radians : Number = degreesToRadians(degrees);
    var m : Matrix = new Matrix();
    var p:Point = m.transformPoint(new
    Point(image.data.content.width/2, image.data.content.height/2));
    m.translate(-p.x, -p.y);
    m.rotate(radians);
    if ((degrees == 90) || (degrees == -90)) {
    m.translate(p.y, p.x);
    } else {
    m.translate(p.x, p.y);
    return m;
    * Pass in reference to of the Image control with the
    original image and the matrix
    * @param img
    * @param matrix
    * @return
    private function getBitmapImageOfRotatedMatrix(img:Image,
    matrix:Matrix, degrees : Number) : Bitmap {
    var bd:BitmapData;

    bd = new BitmapData(img.data.content.height,

    } else {
    bd = new BitmapData(img.data.content.width,

    bd.draw(img.data.content, matrix);
    var bmp : Bitmap = new Bitmap(bd);
    } catch (err : Error) {

    return bmp;
    this method resizes my image to the size of container with

    private function onImageLoadCompleteHandle(event : Event) :

  • Component Rotation - keep text upright

    Hi
    I am using the Rotate effect to rotate a DataGrid, however I would like the text which is within each cell to remain upright.
    I have tried setting the rotation of the itemRenderer to be equal to the amount of rotation and this works however the itemRender flips around 0,0, causing a visual offset in the datagrid. Is there a way to prevent this if I am just using the 'rotation' property or do I need to create a separate rotation effect for the item renderer which works in the opposite direction?
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Thanks

    It is possible just by adjusting the rotation property of a custom item
    renderer ie. I rotate the datagrid using the Rotate effect and then change
    the rotation of the custom item renderer to be the exact negative of the
    effect rotation. The rotation value of the effect is interfaced through to
    the item renderer.
    My current item renderer is just a label, however I am thinking of changing
    this to a VBox with a label and then applying a reverse effect on the VBox -
    I am inclined to believe that this is the only way to do this - I reckon it
    will look pretty cool though, having the cell contents rotating backwards
    while the datagrid rotates forwards.
