CC Desktop Blank

My CC Desktop is blank and I'm unable to download Ai from the website.  On an updated MAC and have uninstalled and reinstalled CC Desktop. Please advise what is wrong with CC Desktop.

You can try these steps:
1.  quit the app (from the task bar) and relaunch.  if that fails:
2.  Remove the OPM.db file and relogin into the Creative Cloud desktop application using the Adobe ID tied to your subscription.
    Mac OS: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \User\<user name>\Library\Application Support\Adobe\OOBE folder. To access the hidden user Library folder, see Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 Lion.
    Windows: You can locate the OPM.db file in the \Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE folder.  To view the hidden AppData folder, see Show hidden files, folders, filename extensions | Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7.

  • Win 8.1 pro 64bit desktop blank screen after logon

    I have an ASUS P7H55M/USB 3 MB with i5 CPU 4Gig RAM NVIDEA 210 graphics card with latest drivers.
    My OS as above being an upgrade from 7 pro to win 8 pro then downloading win 8.1 from the store in the last three months.
    In the last few days I suddenly cant access my start screen/desktop after login. Even the usual custom page before the login is a generic blue background so none of my customized profiles shows its customized look.

    Able to access my files via ctrl alt del etc.
    Been reading up and doing restore etc as suggested on various sites including malware scans NO JOY.I even tried to just run a repair using my win 8 pro upgrade disc but the system wont allow something like invalid media or something and I don't have media
    for win 8.1 pro as mentioned.
    Can anyone suggest a solution please? or am I going to have to reinstall with all the internet data bundle costs included?

    A problem seen mostly be nVidia users seems to be that the screen being viewed is the secondary of an Extended display, e.g. with the primary being either another monitor or a phantom.  Try pressing Win-P, CursorUp, Enter as if you can display and use
    the Project dialog to shift from Extend to Duplicate.  There should at least be a screen refresh after the Enter.

    Ah.  That sounds like another problem symptom.  Users of third-party system modifications saw this recently when there was an update to some kernel modules.  So, presumably explorer.exe is not running then?  And restarting it fails? 
    Event Viewer could be started then and it might give you some clues.  Otherwise if you do have system modifications try uninstalling them.

  • Mac PRO Desktop blank DVD will not eject keeps freezing. "LION"

    Hi, my Mac pro will not eject the blank disc i inserted into the drive, I am running lion and it keeps trying to read the disc and makes everything freeze.
    you cannot reset or shut down the machine properly unless you hold down the power button.
    is their a Physical emergancy eject on the mac pro desktop or a way to get the diwc out?
    Yes I have tried ejecting uning terminal and disk utility will not open becouse of the DVD drive.

    If you want Apple to address your problems, the first requirement is to reproduce the problem with no third-party kernel extensions present.
    Most users find that when the eliminate the third-party kernel extensions, they eliminate the kernel panics.
    The black screens could also be caused by your graphics card beginning to go.

  • Website shortcuts on desktop blank icons

    Updated from version 36.x to 37, drag URL to desktop and get a blank page "icon" instead of usual shortcut with faveicon for the site. Fresh install of Version 37 does not, and never does, create
    shortcutCache folder in user profile.
    Problem verified on 4 separate PCs. 2 PCs using Kaspersky, 1 using Avast, 1 using Avira, so not AV related. 2 have Chrome, 2 have no Chrome, so not conflict related.
    Pref file is set to default in browser.shell.shortcutFaveicons, true.
    Very, very frustrating.

    Is there a bug report number or link in Bugzilla? Totally clean install of today's release on a VM that's totally OOB state produces blank page shortcuts on desktop. That's really bad, should be high priority

  • Pooled - Unmanaged Virtual desktop Collection, 'Existing Virtual Desktop' blank?

    I am trying to create a Pooled - Unmanaged Virtual desktop Collection on my Windows Server 2012 R2. I have created a hyper-v virtual machine with hyper-v manager.
    But when I go to the server manager to add a new collection of virtual desktop, I chose the "Pooled Virtual desktop collection" radio button and also unchecked the "Automatically create and manage virtual desktops", then I hit next and
    it asks me to select Existing Virtual Desktops. However the list there is blank and I don't see the VM that I created in hyper-v manager earlier.
    I wonder how can I possibly fix it?

    Thank you for your posting in Windows Server Forum.
    Did you find any specific error\event ID for this case?
    If the virtual desktop does not show up, you should close the wizard, add the virtual machines by using Hyper-V Manager, and then create the collection again.
    From your description it seems that there might be some configuration issue while configuration. Please try to configure the whole scenario once again and check the result. You can follow beneath article.

  • Desktop blank after disconnecting alternate display

    Hi
    I am running Snow Leopard on my 2.6GHz MacBook Pro (non-unibody version). I connect it to an alternate display at home. When I disconnect, I put the computer to sleep, then remove the display cord. When I open the laptop at work, none of the desktop icons appear, though the Dock is there. Only after I change the screen resolution, do the icons return. Any fixes, thoughts?

    I don't see an issue with removing the display first, so that the system can detect the change and update, then shutting down.
    Have you tried that instead?

    I have just upgraded to Yosemite 10.10.2 and my desktop no longer displays icons.  Have checked Finder preferences and items are checked;  I cannot copy items to my desktop.  Help please ??

    You might want to start up to the restore partition by holding down the option key or option r while starting and restore the system. Did you repair permissions before you upgraded? You might want to do that. Also do a check of and if you have to repair you drive.

  • User Reset? Desktop files gone.

    I came home to find my desktop blank, and all my files and folders gone and my settings appear to back to intial installation. The power had not gone out.
    Is there a way to restore files from the desktop? I've done several searches but found only a few documents and my iTunes library?
    Any ideas what could have happened? My dock was reset and everything, but my online settings, email, and hard drive seem intact. After reading some of the posts, it seems my user had been reset on June 1. Any way to get this through disk utility or the archive settings on my home folder?
    Sign me baffled....

    Just go to the Logs folders and delete them. Now I would not do that with cache files.

    If you use Prosoft Data Rescue you may be able to, but you have to be sure not to use your computer until you have a chance to use Prosoft Data Rescue with an External Firewire hard drive at least as large as the drive the user was on. Or if you use one of the disk cataloging tools on my FAQ*:

  • How do I completly restore my imac from a time machine backup ie, dock settings desktop stuff.

    i have completley messed up my imac and logged in, only to find out that my dock was reset, my desktop blank, and the only stuff i have left is a time machine backup with all the data from my mac, can i use it to reset my mac to a earlier date?

    you can open the hard drive>applications>ultitilies and run the migration assistant.  there you can select restore from time machine backup

  • Gnome 3.4.1 Print Screen won't take screenshots.

    I've updated to Gnome 3.4, and now the Print Screen key doesn't work.
    If I press the key, the desktop blanks and I hear the shutter sound, but the screenshot dialog won't show up.
    If I open the Screenshot tool, and press Take Screenshot, it blanks and plays the shutter sound, and the dialog appears.
    So far, I can save the screenshot to the clipboard using Ctrl + Print
    Any help?

    By following DS Administrator Guide Section 6.1.3, we are able to successfully deploy the extension to the BI platform (BO 4.1 SP2 version 14.1.2.1121) from the DS design tools.
    However, after restarting Adaptive Processing Servers, it state become "Running with Errors".
    By checking the properties, the error came from Analysis Application Service "Unable to initialize service. LogID:"
    With this error, attempt to execute a simple DS analysis application (e.g. standard desktop blank template - blank page) on BI platform will result in error.
    "A session with the Application Service could not be established."
    The initial exception that caused the request to fail, was:

    Uninstall the SDK extension and restart the APS will bring everything back to normal.  Have tried others SDK extension package and all give the same problem.

    To resolve this issue:
    1. Go to the properties of the APS service for Design Studio in your CMC console.
    2. Go to the command line parameters and append the following line to the parameters listed:
    -Djavax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory=com.sun.org.apache.xerces.internal.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl
    3. Hit save and close
    4. Restart the APS server
    5. Test your page again and the issue should now be resolved.

    Repost the solution for clear visibility.
    Solution below To resolve this issue:
    1. Go to the properties of the APS service for Design Studio in your CMC console.

  • Windows Explorer hangs and refreshes

    I have a new Thinkpad Yoga S1 and notice that every now and again when I click Windows Explorer icon from system tray it hangs and then the whole desktop blanks and then refreshes.  I really cant identify what is causing this or even a pattern as to when it happens.  Anyone else had the same experience?

    Run System File Checker (CFS) to check your files
    Use System File Checker to scan your PC for missing or corrupt files. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Search box. 
    2. In the results area, right-click cmd.exe, and then click Run as administrator. You may be prompted to type the password for an administrator account.
    3. Click Continue if you are the administrator or type the administrator password and then, click Continue.
    4. At the command prompt, type Sfc /scannow and then press ENTER.
    The scan may take some time, so be patient. Windows will repair any corrupted or missing files that are found. If information from the installation CD is needed to repair the problem, you may be prompted to insert your Windows CD.
    Test your system's RAM memory
    Sometimes faulty RAM (Random-Access Memory) can cause intermittent problems within Windows. Use the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool by clicking Start, type Memory Diagnostics and select the result in the list. When the Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool window appears, choose Restart now and check for problems (recommended).

  • When I create a tablet/desktop/phone version of a site, why are all the pages blank?

    Hello, longtime listener/user, first time caller
    I've been using Muse since jumping on the Creative Cloud train a couple years ago, but to date all my experience had been in maintaining and updating a desktop version of a couple small sites.  I loved the idea of Muse being able to assist in the creation of separate desktop/tablet/mobile layouts (ie responsive design), and this past week was my first experience in using it as I worked on a ground-up rebuild of http://www.eridusociety.org.  I started with a Phone layout, with the intention of getting that right and then expanding outward to a tablet version, and once that was finished, adding a desktop layout.
    After completing the mobile site and testing it on Business Catalyst (thanks to all involved in that seamless integration, by the way), I clicked on the +Tablet button and proceeded to build out the tablet layout of the site.  To my dismay, all the pages it built were blank.  I tried deleting and re-doing it with different combinations of the options checked, to no avail.  Then I raced off to the nearest web browser and started searching - surely I missed a step, or the great collective brain of the internet could alert me to some way to achieve this.  Alas, no such luck. 
    The blank pages are intentional, and the way to populate those blank pages is to go back to the phone layout, open the page, then copy all the content, then switch back to the tablet layout, open the corresponding page on the tablet layout, and paste in the content from the source layout... and of course, rinse and repeat for the desktop layout as well (though for my workflow, I copied the finished tablet layout pages to create the desktop version).
    For me, starting with all the page elements from the source layout is much easier than starting from scratch on each and every page.  That way I know I have all the elements on the page, and I can add to (or subtract from) as well as modify the layout in fairly short order.  I've been driving myself a little crazy with all the bouncing back and forth between layouts to copy/paste elements as I work on my site, and for future reference I'd like to know if there's some way that can be avoided in the future?
    Ideally, I would like to see an option in the create layout dialog box to be able to copy content (and choose the source layout to copy from). 
    Beyond that, another great option for this dialog would be to let me choose to switch all the page links to the new layout.  That is, when it copies and pastes all the page content from source layout, Muse would then also update the links to pages within the site so that they link to that layout's pages.  So when I build a phone version and click +Tablet, I can check a box to copy page content from source, specify that source, and then check another box to update links for layout.  After Muse does its magic, I have a tablet layout that's already got page content on it, and it's linking to other pages on the tablet layout (and not to the source/phone layout pages).
    Thanks to everyone on the Muse team for a pretty great product, and to the people manning the Twitter account for responding to my tweet and directing me here.

    Sanjit, I think one of us is missing the point.  It could be me - is there some way to easily and quickly pop open multiple layouts and pages?  Because for me (running a 12-core Mac Pro with 64GB RAM and FirePro D700 GPU's), Muse lets me switch between one layout view and the next (not open them simultaneously), and takes several seconds to do this every single time.  Opening and closing pages (to create separate tabs/windows) is also incredibly tedious. 
    I can appreciate that select and drag works just as well as selecting all and using copy/paste shortcut keys, but that is the least time consuming part of the process.
    Without copying the page contents from the source layout and transpose internal page links to new layout, Muse falls short of the mark of making it really easy to build responsive sites.  It's kind of like trying to take a cab to a destination across town that makes you get out and walk halfway.  No matter quickly or easily the cab made it through town, it still only got you half way there.
