CC Desktop; using Fonts and Storage
When I login to CC Desktop I am told that CC Storage and Fonts are not yet available. Is this true?
nciscyber - obviously you understand this stuff which is wonderful. Can you please give me the novice explanation of what you just posted? I have the same issues / screenshots as posted above.
SInce I have PS CC shouldn't I be able to save / open files from the CC from inside PS? I expected to see a "save" option (in addition to my hard drive folders) for my Creative Cloud. My misunderstanding? Is this "coming soon"? Thanks so much.

The way how an Alert looks like cannot be influenced. When setting an image, you cannot indicate where that image should be placed. When setting a certain message text, you cannot influence its colour, its font and its allignment...
The colour and font properties are theme / skin dependent on your mobile. When switching your mobile to another theme, then you will notice that your Alerts (and Forms and Lists, etc etc...) are coloured (titlebar, command softkeys, textfields) according to that theme.

Connecting to Remote Desktop using proxy and Remote Desktop Gateway?
I have setup a Remote Desktop Gateway server using Windows Server 2012 R2. I am using the Remote Desktop Gateway as an intermediary between to provide the remote desktop session over 443 since 3389 is blocked at many client locations.
However, I ran into a problem with a client who's using a web proxy.
Is is possible to configure Remote Desktop to connect via web proxy? If so, how? If not does any one have any suggestions on how to provide a Remote Desktop session via 443 over proxy for situations where you don't control the client's PC or network? Does RemoteApps
allow for access via web proxy when using RD Gateway?
The error message is below:
Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because the web proxy server requires authentication. To allow unauthenticated traffic to an RD Gateway server through your web proxy server, contact your network administrator.

My suggestion is to setup a RD Web Access server and make it available for your clients via proxy.

I have given up messing with stylesheets, trying display:
block, inline, different ways of formatting the XML, messing with
XML.ignoreWhiteSpace, and XML.prettyPrinting etc.
I went down the route of encodeURI, using a RegExp to strip
out all tabs, linefeeds and carriage returns. This now gives
consistent results for all situations, even embedded and none
embedded fonts.
e.g.

Due to eyesight issues, I need to have the menu bars of programs in easy-to-read font and picture size. Specifically, the menu bar across the top (File, Edit, View, etc.), and the menu bar on the left side with the graphic depiction of options.
In earlier versions of Windows (e.g. XP), whenever I changed the screen resolution on my computer to a lesser resolution in order to show the link icons on my desktop in a larger, more readable size, all the software programs, including yours, appeared on my screen with the menu bars in the larger font size that I needed.
However, in Windows 7, this is not the case. Even though I have selected the lowest resolution, making the icons on my desktop extremely large, I cannot read the options across the top menu bar of your program, nor the pull-down menu items that they contain. I cannot see the graphic depictions of options on the left side of the screen. They are all too small. How can I make your program increase the size?CS6 is not high-DPI compatible/ enabled and that can't be changed. If you cannot6 make it work with your operating system means, then short of joining Creative Cloud and using newer versions there is nothing you can do.

I have a MacBook Pro , Model Identifier MacBook Pro8,2 , MAC OX S 10.7.4
I noticed that if I open Final Cut Projects created on other/older models MacBook Pro Laptops or MacPro Desktops, the fonts used in the previously created FCP projects, change their font spacing! which distorts the look of the Text that was written, by oevrlapping on other things that were put & present on the screen.. Another similar probelm is that the Vector shaped used for example to highlight certain words or shapes, also change their position on the screen so that they no longer highlight exact things that we once used these vectors to highlight or outline... Anyone knows how to solve this problem please?? I made sure that the same fonts are available in the Library in both old and newer computers...
thanks in advance..You might want to take your question to the FCP forum - if you copied all fonts to your Library>Fonts folder and restarted they should be recognized by all applications. I know that this works for Adobe products, anyway.

I have Photoshop CS5 on a desktop computer that I need to be able to install on my laptop. Is there any way to invalidate this product on that desktop computer so that I can do that without having access to the computer? This desktop is currently in storage and I cannot get to it.
Just to confirm, you're in the App Store application on your computer, not in iTunes, correct? And you're logged into the Mac App Store using the same account via which you purchased FCP?

I'm trying to print vinyl letters for a gallery I'm a member of and love the Cronos Pro regular font. i've designated this for desktop use and created 24 name files at 200pt. The person working with the vinyl asked if I could 'convert to outline' possibly to make the font a bit larger, I don't really know. When I tried to do this, I found that choice grayed out on the type menu. I am wondering if this means the Typekit fonts 'designated for desktop use' simply do not have the permission to be 'converted to outline'.
Cutting always requires proper paths/ outlines. This has nothing to do with the font or large format printing per se. Beyond that there should be no limitation in using fonts - as long as you can mangle them in AI, it means that somewhere those outlines exist internal to the program so the type can actually be rendered. Whatever prevents this may more likely be inherent in how you treat your text. you would have to provide more specific info on that. Either way, ask in the AI forum for more detailed answers.

The fonts and files menu's in CC desktop are still not active. I'm up to date and have the same problem on Mac and PC.

I am using Illustrator CS5. I am using a certain font and when I make a selection to use one of the letter options or a glyph, it does not take my selection; in other words, nothing changes.
What font? What system? What Glyph? What language settings? Could be anything. Either way, ask in the AI forum. You'll get quicker answers there - if you provide all the required info.

How do I use all fonts and Microsoft Word?
Although my fonts seem to be installed correctly, I often get a message when I try to use a new font that says "font not available for use in Microsoft Word," or some such. How can I make installed fonts available for Word? (By the way, this was true with earlier versions of OS 10.4, as well.)
Fonts you download or otherwise acquire as font files should be placed in the Fonts folder in your Library or in the Fonts folder in the global Library. Having been placed there, the Mac OS knows what to do and there's nothing more for you to do.
However, if you add fonts to the Fonts folder while an application is running...well the OS is supposed to let the program know about that and the program is supposed to gracefully accept them but it doesn't always work that way. I've never seen the error you mention but I can imagine it occurring if you've just added a font and the program was running. Just quit and restart the program.
Having said that, some programs, Word included, prebuild font lists to enable faster loading times. I can also imagine Word's font list becoming corrupt (which happens all too frequently) which might cause your error message. The fix is to delete the font cache file. (found in the ~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office Font Cache) -

I have two external hard drives. One is my Time Machine backup drive. The other I use for external storage of files (documents, photos, movies, etc). Can I set Time Machine to backup BOTH my Mac hard drive and my other external hard drive?
Yes you can make multiple backups on one hard drive, for example if you’ve 1TB hard drive installed in your PC and you’ve two Mac Machines with 500GB drive each then you just make two backup images with size of 500GB each.
