CC en CC 2014 Sign in problems

I have Photoshop CC installed on 2 computers and also 2014 on one of them.
Does this count as 3 instances? Each time I have to sign in.
Also, when I sign out on the cc version and sign in on the 2014 I am automatically also signed in again on the CC version without me doing this. Is this normal?
Thanks
Win 7 - 64

JJMack,
I am afraid I did not succeed in describing my problem accurately. English is not my native language but I'll try to ask my question in a better way.
BTW I am a long time Photoshop user so I know how the activation differs from  the perpetal licence system.
Here is my situation.
I have CC on my laptop and CC plus CC 2014 on my desktop.
When I start CC on my laptop I am required to sign in. Then Adobe tells my that I have to sign out on the other versions. Which makes me believe that CC and CC 2014 on my PC count as 2 instances not one? (I thought that CC and 2014 were seperate programs as they require a seperate setup and reside in seperate directories? )
The same happens if I then start 2014 on my PC. I have to sign out for the other version to be able to use Photoshop...
Then I thought: what If I sign out of CC (which I don't use very often because I prefer CC 2014)? Then I surely would have only two active instances: 1 CC 2014 on my PC and 1 CC on my laptop. Well, that does not work: when I sign in for my CC 2014 I am automatically signed in on CC again without me doing this.
Is this normal?
Thanks a lot for trying to clear this up.

  • Adobe AIR 3 Performance Issues and Code Signing Certificate Problem

I recently updated to Adobe AIR 3.0 SDK (and runtime) doing HTML/Javascript development using Dreamweaver CS5.5 in a Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit).
The AIR app I'm developing runs well from within Dreamweaver. But when I create/package the AIR app and install it on my machine:
    1. The app literally CRAWLS running it in my Windows 7 12G RAM machine (especially when I use the mouse to mouse over a 19-by-21 set of hyperlinks on a grid) --- IT IS THAT SLOOOOWWWW...

I found some discussions on this problem in an Adobe AIR Google Groups forum, but no one has yet offered any resolution to the issue. • Can't move one anchorpoint to another anchorpoint accurately anymore in Illustrator CC 2014. No problems in former versions. Any idea?

When I want to put an anchorpoint of one object on top of an anchorpoint of another object it jumps off the position I would like to put it. Other versions never had this issue! I need to work very accurately for my designs! Illustrator CC 2014 has this problem.
Snap to grid, smart guides, etc putting on or off, doesn't help...........
I pay monthly quite an amount of money for Illustrator. I don't want to waiste any working time on solving problems occuring after updating. I have no need of new features "to fluff up Illustrator" , I need an efficient programm to work with!
Sorry for being so annoyed, but las Friday I chatted with Illustrator helpdesk, which also cost me a few hours of my working time! I need to work...not to keep spending time on tutorials, solving new problems and finding things out! That is not what I pay for...sorry Adobe!

    jolieu,
In cases like this, the first guess is Align to Pixel Grid.
You may select everything and then untick Align to Pixel Grid in the Transform pallete, and also untick Align New Objects to Pixel Grid in the flyout options.
You may avoid document types with that as default (RGB for web and the like) or change the default for such documents.

  • Are you ever going to fix the "You've been signed out" problem?

I've gone through forums and your trouble shooting page and I've found a lot of angry customers over thus Creative Cloud "You've been signed out" problem. Fortunately for me, I'm not a customer. I installed it so I could download a trial or premiere with the intention to buy, but now I don't need the trial because this is issue has made up my mind. But I am still curious if you're ever going to fix it?

  • Folio sign-in problems

As suggested in another thread (http://forums.adobe.com/message/5122457#5122457) I'm posting my specific case here.
I was not able to sign into DPS via the folio builder within InDesign. It just failed silently. After speaking to our network admins, I managed to get my PC enabled to bypass our corporate firewall temporarily, then disabled my proxy settings with Internet Explorer, and was then able to login without any issue.  After I was blocked through the firewall, I can no longer log in (as expected).
I'm on Windows, and our internal proxy authenticates via Active Directory.
It is not a workable solution to have any users that want to produce folios having full direct access through the firewall, so the two options I see to make this work are:
    1. Get folio producer working through an authenticating proxy
    2. Allow through our firewall all of the possible Adobe servers (sort of defeats the purpose of a firewall, especially considering the number of servers that would be required)
I'll be happily corrected if there is anoter solution out there..

  • Overdrive signing in problems

Having trouble with Overdrive.  It periodically crashes.  Then I take it off the mini ipad and reload it.  This time, I have reloaded it, and now am having difficulty with the "signing into adobe" now...
I am not tech savvy...just wanted a mini, so I could read books again (eyes not as good as they used to be)...any help appreciated.

I couldn't find a contact for the overdrive help, then since the problem
seems to be when I am required to sign in to Adobe in order to be able to
download a book from the library.  Then the application seems to loop
between Overdrive and Adobe wanting me to sign into their accounts; it
appeared that the signing into Adobe is the problem area.  I tried
contacting the help people at Adobe, who told me that they could help me,
but that I am to sign into the forums (Gaurev Goel was the person I was
chatting with this morning about this).  So I signed into the site he gave
me; but there was no forum on Overdrive -- Overdrive is a reader -- so I
    tried Adobe reader...)
I have been reading books since January with Overdrive; but it crashed
yesterday (so I took it off the ipad and reloaded it).  But now it is
putting me through the sign in to Adobe & then I seem to go nowhere with
the download.  The advise from the Overdrive people (on their
troubleshooting site) is to contact the library with the problem.  I had
taken my mini into the library yesterday & they were stumped.  They said to
contact Overdrive or Adobe about the problem.  I have contacted someone
else at the library & am still waiting to see if they have an answer.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 having a problem with display driver then crashes computer

Since the Photoshop update in October most of the time when I open Photoshop CC 2014, either my computer crashes with the driver state power failure or the program is able to boot and provide an error message involving a problem with the display driver and then my computer crashes with the driver state power failure. I did not have this problem until the update in October. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    I am using Windows 8.1 64-bit
    Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4700HQ CPU @ 2.40GHz processor

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860m

You need to update your video driver from the website of the manufacturer of your video card.  You cannot rely on Windows Update or Microsoft, which typically have outdated drivers.

  • Triangle sign (font problem)

I finally found some more time to customize my computer. I got some inspiration from this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=162510 and decided to start from changing my command prompt. And here's my first problem.
I wanted it to look like on a screenshot attached to this post: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 9#p1267139. I just love those colorful arrows. So I installed powerline-fonts and otf-inconsolata-powerline-git from AUR. But on my machine those arrows doesn't look so cool. No matter which font I try, they're always too big and too small, like here on the screenshot:
    http://oi42.tinypic.com/5jve5u.jpg
I use terminator and my PS1 value is:
    "\$(if [[ \$? == 0 ]]; then echo \"\e[42m✔ \# \! \e[32;44m$(echo -e '\u2B80')\"; else echo \"\e[41m✘ \# \! \e[31;44m$(echo -e '\u2B80')\"; fi)\e[;44m \u@\h \e[34;43m$(echo -e '\u2B80')\e[;43m \W \e[;33m$(echo -e '\u2B80') \e[m"
Also, I'd like to give ttf-agave, which is a non-powerline font, a try, so I need some symbols font containing a triangle sign similar to powerline's U+2B80 but of the exactly same height as font's background.

Close all running applications. From an administrator account, open the Terminal app and enter the following command. You can also copy/paste it from here into the Terminal window:
    sudo atsutil databases -remove
Terminal will then ask for your admin password. As you type, it will not show anything, so be sure to enter it correctly.
This removes all font cache files. Both for the system and the current user font cache files. After running the command, close Terminal and immediately restart your Mac.

  • How do I fix sign in problem with my Yahoo hompage via Firefox browser

The normal browser process, of course, is that when you click on the Firefox icon it opens the browser and automatically signs you in to your preselected home page. Unfortunately I have recently run into a problem with error messages popping up and obstructing this opening process.
Special comment: It started occurring at about the same time my Yahoo mail account was breached and spammed and I had to change my password as a beginning move to counter the account security breach. I am not certain this incident produced my current problem, but it quite possibly related to the cause. It still remains that have to clear the problem, whatever caused it.
These error pop up messages do not occur when I use the Internet Explorer or Chrome browsers, so it certainly appears to be a Firefox browser related issue. I have tried clearing all cookies, enabling and disabling all Java plug-ins and extensions, changing passwords, and nothing has had any effect.
The first pop up window is headlined as, "[JavaScript Application]. It then cites my correct Yahoo username and is followed by this text; "(my username)- Invalid username/password combination. If you continue to get this error, try entering your email address as your username".
Note: Entering my email address as a username did not help either. The username cited in the error
message is the correct username as well.
The second pop up window says,
"We noticed you may have signed in or signed out in another window. Click OK to reload your page".
Note: Clicking the "OK" button does not re-sign in the page. What does happen is that it reloads the generic MY Yahoo home page and then I have to manually sign in to get my personally customized My Yahoo home page.
I have since upgraded to the most current Firefox browser version, but the problem remains the same.
If anyone has any idea on how to remedy this sign-in issue I would appreciate hearing from you.
    Thank you

If you had Firefox save your Yahoo password, first try deleting that here:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Security > "Saved Passwords"
The "signed out" message seems to be related to how Yahoo authenticates you. Some users have reported that disabling automatic proxy detection solves the problem, and it also resolves an issue of getting logged out every few minutes, if you have ever experienced that.
    To make the change:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the "Network" mini-tab, click the "Settings" button, then choose "No Proxy" and OK your way back out.
If your work connection requires you to use a proxy server, try the "Use system settings" option instead.
    Does that help?

  • Illustrator CC 2014.1.1 problems

Since I did download the new update CC 2014 I have had few annoying problems. I have HP Compaq Pro 6300 MT, Win 7 Prof (Service pack 1), Intel Core i5-3470 CPU 3.20GHz, RAM 20 Gt, 64-bit.
    Copy / paste with ctrl+c and ctrl+v:
Does not mostly work. Only when I copy text or plain vector graphics, small ones. If I try to copy jgp/tiff file or whole artwork on artboard, it starts run "not responding"....and if it stops and I move the mouse, it will start again "not responding". Have to close the program and start again.
    Copy / paste with edit/copy:
Does not always work either. See above.
Opening/placing file/s from network into Illustrator: When choosing the needed files, the system freezes. After a while the needed files may show as chosen.
Crashing: Sometimes when I close a screen in Illustrator.... it crashes the whole Illustrator.
So.... is this something to with Windows, my computer not "powerfull" enough.... or is it just me.....?
    Have a happy workday....!!

    Porkkana,
Concerning files from network, it is always recommended here to open/save from/to own hard disk, and to copy from/to networks and removable media. You may be lucky (for a while), but the chances of file corruption and other unpleasantnesses are immensely greater when you use anything but the harddisk, and it is better to be safe than sorry.
In addition to the (far greater) risk of file corruption, some issues are mentioned here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-support-networks-removable-media.html
Concerning the other issues, you may try the list.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
If possible/applicable, you should save current artwork first, of course.
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to at least 5 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.
