CC installation, black blank screen, Windows 8.1 Pro

I cannnot run Creative Cloud. After installing the application and starting it I get a black blank screen.
I have HP EliteBook 850 G1 with i74600U proc., 8 GB RAM, Intel Graphics and ATI Radeon HD 8750 card and Windows 8.1 Pro installed.
I use no proxy.
I tried all the solutions proposed on Adobe forum like reinstalling, deleting OOBE catalog from appropriate folders and others.
Nothing helps.
I have subscription for Photoshop and Ilustrator.
Please inform how to resolve the problem or how to install subsribed applcations without CC.

Click Gear icon on the top right corner and click on Quit.
Then open Catalyst Control Center from your computer.
On the Welcome screen, click Power, and then click Switchable Graphics
In the list locate Creative Cloud, if not appearing click on Browse and Add it.

hi, i am having a problem in my ipad 2 , it is not showing main screen just showing a black blank screen in which downloading icon is only shwn which is continously and when i connect to itunes via windows 7 it showing this error (0xE8000065) can any one

First, try a system reset.  It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears.  You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely.  Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

This is a build working perfectly for over a year.. well one day my mom turned off the computer when I got home it wouldn't boot I disconnected/reseated everything and was able to figure out if I didn't have my dvd drive hooked up it will boot perfectly fine. I should note that the drive shows up fine in the bios and that with a pata hard drive it will load windows fine.
I've tried 2 pata drives and 1 sata drive all working/tested in other machines .. and it stops at the same exact spot every time right after the bios and before the Windows logo would normally pop up it will just sit on a black/blank screen forever. I have never heard of a issue like this where it wasnt the ide channel going bad or the drive itself but since a harddrive on the ide channel works i assume its good.
I didnt know if i should post this in the windows 7 64bit forum or this but im leaning towards motherboard as the issue because it still freezes at same exact spot even with no hard drives connected , so I couldnt boot anything from the dvd-drive. I'm also thinking its the mobo because i had it repaired a year ago, see my old thread here

Yes and be careful when you do that. You probably pulled it out of the socket when you removed the old heatsink. So, some pins may be bent or even broken off. When you remove heatsink, move it a bit over the cpu - don't lift it, just turn it gently, move it gently up and down utnil you feel that the thermal gel does not hold the cpu anymore.
Also, be sure to clean the cpu top (old greace should be removed) and be sure to apply new thermal greace (not too much - the drop should have the size of a pin's head).

  • 13" MBP died. Only a black blank screen and blinking lights are visible. Any ideas??

My friends MBP died the other night.  He put it on sleep mode one night and the following morning, and when he went to turn it on the following morning it would't.  Only a black blank screen and blinking lights.  There is no sound or anything.  BTW it is a mid-2010 MBP, no added hardware, everything stock. It wasn't custom configured, and I believe he upgraded to Lion earlier this year.  I read somewhere that depending how quickly the lights are blinking could indicate a specific problem.  Is this true? He is planning on taking it an Apple store, but figured we would try here first since it is a bit of a drive, and the warranty has expired. Any help would be greatly appreciated.  We are just trying to get an idea of what we are dealing with. Thank you!

    Looks like hardware problem.
Apple can fix it. Take it to Apple as soon as possible.

  • Black/blank Screen when connected remotely

    Zenworks 10.3.3
I've only come across one other post on this forum concerning this issue. Sometimes when we're remotely connecting to an XP workstation all that appears is a black/blank screen. The management and remote machines are MS Win XP Pro SP3, pretty well up to date with security patches and all. On the remote computer, the screen saver at logon is disabled, desktop screen saver is disabled, the NIC is allowed to bring the device out of standby, standby is enabled and hibernation is disabled. If you send it the reboot command, more often then not, you can catch it back at the login screen and go about your business.
    Might Zen 11sp1 fix this?

Is anyone at the Device to see what state it is in when this happens?

  • Big Black Blank Screen Sharing on Snow Leopard

I have upgraded all three systems in the house to Snow Leopard (MBP, MP, iMac). I have always been able to use screen sharing between them. I've checked the System Preferences for Screen Sharing.

  • Black blank screen appears when unlocking iOS screen

    Hi!
I am developing and Adobe Air application for iOS. I have the following issue. If I have my app open and lock my iPad and then unlock my device, I see a black blank screen instead of my application contents. In order to make the app work again, I need to press the home button, and press the app icon again. Then the application appears fine from the point I had left it before locking the device.
Any suggestions on how to fix this issue? I use Adobe Air for iOS 3.8
    Thanks a lot.

I was able to fix it:
    I tried this ANE http://forum.starling-framework.org/topic/ane-fix-for-blackblank-screen-bug-when-returning -to-air-android-apps
After some testing I noticed, that the mentioned manifest-flag "<containsVideo>true</containsVideo>" does the job for me on his own...

  • Started as a Blank Screen, now my MacBook Pro is useless.

I have a serious issue that has cost me well over $2,000 now and I am getting ******. I am a programmer and I have multiple projects on my Mac that I have now lost. I do have a Time Machine backup but its weeks old. Didn’t realize Snow Leopard was the new Vista.
Snow Leopard does not work and I cannot restore my computer back to Leopard. The issue I am having is the blank screen bug that is caused by Snow Leopard. When using 10.6.0 I was able to resolve the blank screen by simply reinstalling Snow Leopard.
I updated to 10.6.1 and I now have the blank screen and this time my MacBook Pro is unresponsive. For me to get the blank screen all I need to do is put my computer to sleep. When it goes to sleep there is 50/50 chance it will recover. This is the first time it happened with 10.6.1, the issue is now more sever, my assumption is 10.6.1 caused this. This is not a hardware issue; I have already eliminated that possibility. Taking the MacBook Pro to the Apple store is out of the question. They had a Mac Pro of mine for 2 weeks and said it was fixed, when I got it back it was still broken. I fixed it in 3 hours…. They almost broke my raid card in the process. The so-called Apple Geniuses are idiots.
I’m turning here as a last resort, I’m not expecting to get this resolved but it’s worth a try. In a nutshell, my problems as of right now are:
    1. Mac will not boot – I have a blank screen, like my computer is in sleep mode and won’t wake.
    2. I have a CD in the drive that I cannot remove. I tried all methods to remove it, still no luck. I am about to take it apart to manually remove the CD.
    3. I have already tried resetting my PRAM and NVRAM, no change.
    4. I have tried to use Target mode but it seems useless. I have tried to use every mode to boot that Apple has and still it’s a no go.
    5. This is not the possible nVidia graphics card issue because it’s not just a video problem. I am out of warranty so it may seem a useful escape goat.
    6. I have upgraded my HardDrive and my memory. I have no issues with this hardware, I know the issues are not related to the new hardware installed, I already tested this hardware and this issue only happens on Snow Leopard.
All that’s let for me to do as of this moment is to get my refund for Snow Leopard and move back to Windows…. I really hate Windows but it’s more stable than Snow Leopard.
To any that can help, thanks; if not, hope this doesn’t happen to you.

Using process of elimination, Snow Leopard has ruined my MacBoook Pro. I have tested my HD and Memory in other MBP’s and they work fine. I had no issues till I used SL and it is obvious that it was the cause of the issue. I’m sure Apple will deny this claim….. Be warned.
I now have a $2,500 paper weight. I’m done with Apple…. Hackintosh was more stable anyways.

  • Blank screen on Adobe Acrobat Pro Startup 9.0

    **See screenshot below.
After installing our volume license here on campus, I'm getting this blank screen on startup. This is only happening with one machine. We all have the same systems and configurations, so not sure what it is. I have to use Task Manager to quit the program. Thought it was the graphic drivers for our NVidia card GeForce 5200, but I updated those and had the same problem. Also tried repair, removed, cleaned registry, then reinstall again. I still cannot get this to work. This is an older Dell Optiplex GX270, 1 gb of RAM.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    ~eva

Acrobat XI Pro does not work as well as previous versions. For example, using "Combine Files into PDF" function, Acrobat will not work if one or more of your WORD docs has a text layer (such as in a WORD template to produce a letterhead).  The text layer will not print to PDF, although this function works fine in previous versions.  It will convert your WORD docs to PDF, but if any WORD doc has a text layer, it will not be converted.  It will show up as a blank space.  I have a letterhead text layer that has my work credentials.  It does not show up on the converted PDF, using the bundle (Combine Files into PDF) function.  Tech Supports workaround for this is to first create a PDF from the WORD page that has a text layer by first clicking on Acrobat, at the top of the monitor page, then clicking on Create PDF.  Save the PDF, which will have the printed text layer.  Then go to Combine Files into PDF and include that already created PDF page in the bundle.  That will work, but it's another step you have to go through to create your bundle, i.e., your work flow is interrupted by having to accomplish the workaround (documented in Adobe Case No. 0185444461).  Acrobat Pro 9 extended did not need this workaround - nor did previous versions.  Tech Supports comment was that Adobe changed a lot of things - in this case, not for the good.

  • Black/Blank Screen with Boot Camp Win 7 Install on new 27" iMac

I'm having a problem getting Windows 7 on a new 27" iMac and am familiar with the Boot Camp Windows installation process. Here's what I've done...
    1. Run Boot Camp from OSX, partition the drive.
    2. Insert Win 7 cd, proceed with installation.
    3. Computer restarts and the 'preparing for initial setup' message displays with the Win 7 splash screen. When it switches to where it should be displaying the Win 7 desktop, the screen is black.
I can hear the Mac still running, but there's no display. It's like it's waiting for some type of user input for the intial Windows setup (haven't yet entered the key).
I've done a hard shutdown and restarted Windows with the exact same result. After reboot, I get the 'Windows was not shut down properly' message with the 3 safe mode options, where choosing either gets me the 'Windows cannot complete setup in safe mode'. And any key reboots it.
The Mac side still runs fine and holding the option key at start up gives the Mac/Win boot options.
I'm inclined to think that it's a video driver issue since the 27" is brand new. Maybe Apple used a new video card for the larger screen and haven't updated the Boot Camp drivers. I checked on ATI's site for an updated driver for the Radeon HD 4670 they say is in the new 27" model that's currently available. (not the quad core)
Is there any workaround for this? I was thinking of installing Vista instead, and upgrading to Win7 once installed, but if it's a driver thing, it would just be a long way to the same result and could have the same problem with Vista as well.
    Any ideas?

I think I figured out what is happening here with the video drivers on the new iMac's and Win7. I believe it's re-directing the video to the mini display-port output when you see the screen go blank. I installed my Win7 x64 with no issues but I had an external monitor hooked up at the time and while it was installing the O/S my iMac went black but everything moved over to my external screen. Once it finished installing then everything went back to normal after a reboot.
Not sure if that helps anyone but pretty sure that's what is going on. So if you have another monitor handy, get the mini display-port adaptor from Apple and connect your external screen before you install Win7. Cheers!
P.S. If you have one of the new iMac's and want to install the latest Radeon drivers (after you have installed Win7 on your iMac), try the following. Download and install the drivers from ATI/AMD directly. They'll try to install and fail (no worries) but now the driver/install files will be unzipped into an ATI folder on your main Windows hard drive.
Now go to this site: http://www.driverheaven.net/modtool.php and download the tool and use the Vista instructions listed on the main page of the URL above. You shouldn't need to download the MSXML 6.0 and I don't think you need to disable the UAC stuff like they suggest for Vista (I didn't) and it works fine. UAC is not nearly as intrusive on Win7 as it is in Vista so I think that's why it worked for me and pretty sure the MSXML 6.0 is already in Win7. Once the program has modified the mobile Radeon drivers then you can run "setup" from your ATI directory and the new drivers will finally install correctly including the Catalyst Control Center. Voila! I now have 9.10 drivers up and running on my new 27" iMac and working perfectly so far.
