CC loads blank,Re-installed countless times, "cleaned" countless times. HELP.
I already tried all of these: CC desktop lists applications as "Up to Date" when not installed
and nothing works.
I had restarted my computer system to an earlier date I had already had cloud installed but after the restart process I didn't have it as a program so I reinstalled it.
After trying to it would install, the installation would get to 1% and then close down. I removed all adobe content and tried again, this time the installation happened.
After that the CC window loaded blank, it continues to load blank. I click the gear but it doesn't help :/
I have tried using the adobe cleaning tool, reinstalling countless times, nothing is working, I tried all "up to date" solutions and have yet to find one.
I really need to use my programs ASAP, Help!

Pages question: recent update OS10.5 to 10.6 to Lion. Using Pages (4.1) only some documents intermittently
won't open. At Genius bar loaded new copy Pages; reloaded Lion clean install. Still won't open although will on another computer. I got Pages to work now- there were two versions, one Universal, and one Intel- by moving the Universal to trash ( although I can't delete it) and moving Intel version to iWorks folder in Applications, it is now working. Doesn't explain why it didn't work though- the other MacBook pro 17 inch that could open all the Pages documents also has two copies of Pages as I see now....
I still however can't open Numbers documents on the MacBook pro 15 inch.... it is a Universal version of Numbers. -
Although I had Java latest version installed and IE and Chrome recognise it, i can't get Firefox Nightly 64bit to see Java. Websites with Java functionality in Firefox report that i need to install Java.
I re-installed 3 times, I cleaned out older Java versions and did all other steps in Firefox help articles.
If I go to Firefox plugins page, its says the only plugin I have is Shockwave. If I select the Java option, it tells me to download and install Java - which I have done before several times.
I have shut down and re-opened Firefox many times to get it to see Java.
Java is installed to c:/Program Files(x86). Is Firefox looking for Java in c:/Program Files ??
The website in question is the nVidea driver download page at http://www.geforce.co.uk/drivers, where the auto-detect correct driver function is a Java function. In the end I had to use IE to run the Java function.

new macbook pro loaded with mavericks. installed CS3 including prompted Java update. try to open photoshop & empty splash screen pops up-can't go further. tried newer java update-same result. shut down 4 times-same. any suggestions?

I just purchased photoshop elements and went to retrieve my serial code. The web page provided to retrieve it loads blank, even when clicking on the URL through adobe's web site. I can not install my product without this. Please help

Whenever I go to a site or click anything, I always have to move my mouse for the page to load, why is this happening? (When I go to a site full of images, I move my mouse a little bit at a time and it loads one image at a time)

FYI: You've not stated which of your listed Macs is having the problem. However, the following may help in any case:
1. Did you install Front Row using the Front Row hack on a Mac that did not ship from the factory with Front Row installed? If so, See my "Uninstalling the Front Row hack" FAQ. This has been known to cause a variety of problems, including the menu bar (Clock, Spotlight) issues you noted.
2. If you did not install the Front Row Hack, an incompatible or corrupted Startup or Login Item may be partly to blame for the problems with the menu bar. My "Troubleshooting Startup and Login Items" FAQ can help you pin that down if such an item is causing the problem.
3. As a general check, run the procedure specified in my "Resolving Disk, Permission, and Cache Corruption" FAQ. Perform the steps therein in the order specified.

I previously had a problem with my Laptop dying randomly you can read about it in the thread entitled Computer dies Randomly (Battery also dead) click to view
Before I realised the solutions, I thought that maybe my Laptop had become infected with a Virus and decided it would be prudent to do a clean install of the Windows XP operating system.
Everything went perfectly and thought a clean install was a good opportunity to download the “XP Service Pack 3” SP3 and did so, it seemed very quiet though and that’s when I realised I had no sound…
I downloaded all of the sound drivers I could find on the Lenovo site for 3000 N100 (I knew from previous experience that the “SOUNDMAX” driver is the only one that actually works with this 3000 N100) in order to install this you have to install the Realtek HD audio driver, but in order to install that you have to install some other Driver/Soft that only works with SP1 or SP2 if you try to install it with SP3 it will say that you don’t need the file as your Service pack is newer than the file you want to install, this is understandable as SP3 is not final as of yet (but it’s good to know).
My next problem was that my extra RAM was not detected, this was fixed by updating the BIOS, after installing all of the System updates, PC Doctor, everything I could find for 3000 N100 I decided to rest, I pushed the Lenovo care button and it did not work, I found a hot key driver and installed it but still the Lenovo care button does not work, previously when I pushed this button it would bring up the Lenovo menu but now it’s just a dead button, Does anyone know how to get this button working again?
I am pretty sure that everything else is working fine now, just that button not working is very annoying, is there a set routing of installs you must do to get everything working, i.e. bios 1st audio 2nd system update 3rd etc...

Go to Solution.Ok first everything works now... except the Lenovo Care button, I just posted the other stuff cause it might help other members, I have searched the forum for an anwser to this problem but there was only one anwser (suggesting to uninstall the driver restart and re-install it) and it did not result in a working Lenovo Care button...
I don't beleive the Lenovo keyboad drivers are in any way related to the Service pack 3 as they do not use the Service pack files, to back this up I also had the same problem when Service Pack 2 was installed...
The Lenovo Care button works fine on Boot up screen to access the rescue and recovery software (So the mechanics of the button are fine) but once Windows XP loads it is just a dead button, I remember it used to open up the Lenovo Care Start bar, I got it working once in the past but I can't remember what I did, I thought someone here might know the anwser... -
I'd like to run iPhoto '09 on Lion. Tried to install on Lion from Time Machine backup. Got message iPhoto won't work because of a missing Library file. Tried to install iPhoto '09 from iLife '09 DVD. Got message that it cannot be installed on my system. iMovie runs previous versions and iTunes runs previous versions.
Why can't iPhoto run on Lion? My wife has over 10,000 photos in her library and she's taken the time to sort them into folders. I've recovered the library with the folder sort but have to use it on an external drive with a Snow Leopard system on it. The latest iPhoto ('11) has no provision for organizing into folders. I'd really like to have everything in one place with one OS (Lion) and two iPhoto apps '09 and '11 and I suppose 2 photo libraries. I've been trying to resolve this ever since iPhoto '11 came out and I installed it. I can't begin to tell you how difficult it is to answer the question " Where are my folders?" brian25I tried to check the Library setup on iMovie and iTunes. The iMovie Libraries seem to be part of the applications and my iTunes applications have become Russian so I have another problem. I tried to install iPhoto '09 again from my iLife '09 disk. When I selected "Custom Install" to load iPhoto only, the box I got said " A later version of this application is already installed" The iPhoto item which I would choose for a custom install says "skip". Yesterday I ignored this and went on with an install. The final screen said "Installation Successful" There was no iPhoto '09 on my hard drive. As far as I can tell, you cannot load iPhoto '09 from a Time Machine backup. There is no Lion compatable iPhoto '09 in the App store, and iPhoto '09 will not install onto Lion from the iLife '09 disk.I don't understand exactly what you mean by "load my backup and convert again" Do you mean go to the app store and access my purchases and re- download iPhoto '11 and reinstall it and re-convert my iPhoto library? I suppose what I should have done originally was to duplicate my iPhoto '09 library and put it on an external drive for safekeeping. Who knew it wouldn't install on Lion from Time Machine? When I downloaded iPhoto '!! from the app store I should have duplicated it and saved a copy to an external hard drive for safekeeping and then proceeded with installing iPhoto '11 on my hard drive.I suppose when the Thunderbolt concept is fully realized and monster Thunderbolt external droves are in common use this will seem a lot easier. I have rebuilt my iPhoto '09 library and have it on a hard disk that has a bootable copy of Snow Leopard and a working copy of iPhoto '09 also. I think you are telling me to reinstall iPhoto '11 on my internal hard drive and reconvert the iPhoto library used by iPhoto '11. Right? brian25

any suggestions please??????Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing QuickTime again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.) -
F4v wont load in firefox the first time.
Hi all!
Im not sure if this is the place to put this, but i have a problem.
I have created a swf movie file that containes the movie playback panel & a f4v video & I have uploaded them to a subfolder on my server.
The whole site has a secure connection (https), but the page that i will try to embed the movie will have a regualr connection (http).
The problem arises when i do embed this flash video in a HTML file. in IE & Chrome it works and looks great, But in firefox it doesnt.
If i clear my cache (as if i were a new visitor to the site) and enter the page, the movie isn't displayed at all...is shows "done" in the browser loading bar.
After about a minute or so (which i assume is the amount of time it takes to load the full movie), i hit refresh, and the movie appears fully loaded.
The movie is currently embeded in my homepage (via Iframe - for site protocol reasons), and if it wont load immidiatly from the first time a user enters the site, many users will miss the video (and get a blank white box in the middle of the site).

Problems uninstalling/installing Quick Time
I am having problems both uninstalling and installing Quick Time. When I go to uninstall it from the control panel, windows installer starts up and then another pop-up tells me I have the latest version of Quick Time installed. I went and manually deleted all the Quick Time files I could find, downloaded the current version and tried to install it. I get the same response that I have the latest version although all files are gone, plus it is still showing in the Programs and Features in the control panel. By the way my OS is Vista. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

2. In Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx. (If “Hide filename extensions for known file types” is enabled on the PC, then those two files will appear as “QuickTime” and QuickTimeVR”.)
7. Restart your computer.
Now try another QuickTime install. Does it go through any better this time? -
I just installed Quick Time 7 and all-**** broke loose!
I took someone’s advice and I went to the apple website and d-loaded the latest version of QuickTime (Quick Time 7, http://www.apple.com/quicktime/ ) which in doing so, I now can’t play any of my HD MOV format recordings! This is so frustrating. The message I am receiving is that I need the older version of Quick Time to play my specific video, or that the plug-in failed to initialize, which sounds crazy! I already un-installed quick time and installed it again, and still not working…sigh…. What makes it even more frustrating is that when I open quick time 7, I can import/load one of my HD MOV loops and it plays it perfectly, but it will not let me save the file as an avi or other format, because I don’t own quick time pro. I don’t understand this, why won’t this latest version of Quick Time recognize the mov file? My older version worked fine. I can play it in quick time so why won’t this latest version recognize it on my desktop as a compatible quick time file? Why do I have to manually load it in quick time to play it?
In addition, what is the solution for the annoying error message I keep receiving every time I open the new version of Quick Time 7. The error message is “Export Controller Has Stopped Working.” I feel like a knob and after 2 hours of trial and error, I failed!Double check and make sure you have administrative priviledge in MS Vista. I also had this problem of not being able to use Nero ShowTime or Vision. I believe it to apples way of killing the competition. What I suggest you do (if you don not have pro version) is to remove the QuickTime from the system, but make sure the protectionware (antivirus/malware tools) are disabled temporarily before you do. Then restart the system and open registry editor and search down all inferences to QuickTime in the registry, and delete them. Most are keys but some will be Values (in the right side). Open these values and backspace to remove them.For preferred delete the whole key.
Once you do this you will restore your players or editors to working state. The only thing that will change you will not be able to play QuickTime filetypes. -
trying to update from 10.6.8 to Lion. Refuses to load because HD used for Time Machine updates. Anyone know how I solve this? Chris
What do you mean you're in the process of "downloading the installer for 10.7.3"? If you mean the software update combo, you won't be able to use that to go from 10.7.4 to 10.7.3. The only way you could do that is to reinstall the whole OS from the App Store IF that version is 10.7.3. I don't know if the App store Lion installer includes 10.7.4 already, but if it does, you can't get to 10.7.3 at all.
As for what you do about your slow machine, there are tips all over the internet. I wrote up some of the basic one's to try here:

Other possibilities not mentioned there are either a corrupt install of Lion (solution; re-install from the Recovery disk) or hardware failure (old hard disks and other hardware components can sometimes give out there last after the strain of a new install).
