CC Manager has Disappeared

Hi Guys
I'm running Win7 64bit and having all sorts of problems recently trying to update the CC manager. When I run CC manager it keeps popping up saying there's an update. I run the update but the CC manager suddenly disappears from my desktop and programmes, although I can find the CC manager under programmes in the control panel. The only way I can get the icons back is to restore.
I want to actually get this sorted, rather than run a restore again but it's been made even more irritating because every time I logon to the CC site to re-download  it is asking if I want to run a trial although I'm a full subscriber.
On top of that, although I'm signed in, every time I tried to start this discussion I got a message to sign in again but when I did I got an "Opps" page telling me to go back or go to the home page, only to go through the same circle of signin/ opps...
Any help would help distress me...

    I believe the setting you are speaking of is called the Screen Curtain. More information about this can be found here:

    Turn the screen curtain on or off.  Tap four times with three fingers. When the screen curtain is on, the screen contents are active even though the display is turned off.

    What you're trying to do now is:
    EFI->kernel (EFI stub)
    This is appealingly direct, but it's tricky to get working. What the wiki now recommends is:
    EFI->gummiboot->kernel (EFI stub)
    ...or...
    EFI->GRUB->kernel
    These approaches are less direct, but they're easier to configure. The trouble is that both the EFI's built-in boot manager and the EFI stub loader are tricky to configure. For a newbie to get them both configured correctly on a first attempt at installing Arch is very difficult. Getting the EFI to launch gummiboot or GRUB is easier because these programs don't require the complex parameters that the EFI stub loader requires. Those parameters can instead be specified in the gummiboot or GRUB configuration file, which is easier to manage for quite a few reasons.
    If you want to pursue using the EFI stub loader directly, you certainly can. I've learned from experience, though, that it's not worth my time to try to help with users who want to do this. Using an intermediary program is easier to get working. IMHO, the direct approach has no real benefits except that it gives you bragging rights that you've done it. Your system won't boot any faster or more reliably in the more direct approach. (Well, technically it will be faster, by only by a matter of milliseconds, assuming you use a 0 timeout value in gummiboot.) In fact, it will be less reliable, because gummiboot, GRUB, and rEFInd all offer ways to adjust boot options on a boot-by-boot basis, which is very helpful when fixing problems. You can't do this with the direct approach.

    It is also possible that iTunes is already running, but something is messed up (and it won't let you run it twice). Open up the Task Manager (cntrl-alt-del) and see if the iTunes process is listed. If it is, right click it and kill it. Then try to lauch iTunes again.
    Or - you could reboot.

    Thanks but I don't think this will help. Like I said, all of my add-ons were working fine and compatible until after running a previous version of FF. I am sure they are still compatible, but they are not working at all.
    I even checked my profile folder and all of the extensions' data is all still there but FF5 is just not reading it correctly. (like adblock plus... I see the folder for it but FF5 doesn't have it on the add-on manager page when I run FF5)

  • Lightroom 4 Basic Panel in Dev Module has disappeared!

    How do I turn on and off the Baisc Control Panel  ( color Temp, exposure, contrasts, shadow, Higlight, white, blacks, etc) ?    Somehow I have managed to turn it off, so it is not in the  Right hand side panel  under the Histogram.  Insteasd the first Panel is TONE CURVE
    Any ideas on  how to turn  the Basic Panel back on?

    Right-click in the Tone Curve header (even clicking on the words themselves works). You will get a context menu of all of the Develop module roll-outs. Simply re-check Basic.

    1) Firefox > Tools > Add-ons
    Check to see if the elf toolbar has become disabled, and if so you can enable it.

    - Delete all AB and resync
    To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Manage Storage>Audio Book (if present) and delete
    - Reset all settings

    some how, the top menu has disappeared.
    ESC is not bringing it back
    its like firefox has gone to full screen (as when you play a video/movie) and so the top menu disappears.

    Sorry, I meant to say that when you are finished you should put it back to the correct (highest) resolution.
    As for why it happened, it's partly an adobe thing but mostly a mac thing. Window management has many problems in recent versions of OS X and this happens in other programs, too, not just Adobe ones, but the adobe ones tend to take a bit more sorting out.
