CC membership & email account hosting

Hello from rainy Finland! I suppose there is no email hosting within the Creative Cloud? I was excited to transfer my pages to the BC but in order to get the two email accounts that I need, I´d have to upgrade to the webBasics + and pay 12 USD per month. Any solution here? Could Adobe offer other email account hosting for the CC members than this in the future, thanks ?!

Correct the "webBasic" plan doesn't allow for email hosting with Adobe. You'll need to upgrade the plan to plus or higher.
You could use Google Apps for a possible solution in the meanwhile.

Syncing other email accounts "hosted" on gmail, to iphone

I have a few e-mail accounts, of my own domain names, which are being hosted ( in a way) on gmail.
so my incoming mail server reads pop.gmail.com and my username reads [email protected]
I have using this in desktop mail and also independently on the iphone using the set up. The problem is that i try to set up a sync through itunes, it does not work.
itunes shows,
svvitch(POP:[email protected]@pop.gmail.com)
also the iphone is recognizing this as a gmail account, but actually it is not a gmail account.
is there way i can manually set this in itunes.

If your Hotmail account worked previously and it suddenly stopped and gave you that message, then it is likely a problem at th Hotmail end. Did you check the Hotmail website or contact Hotmail directly to see if they are experiencing problems?

How to do a BC site with email accounts at previous hosting

i have a question.
i have a client that needs another Web site to replace their actual one. (hosted somewhere else)
but they dont want to move thier email accounts...
in other words i just need make the site hosting. (and new design of course)
how do i do that? (i mean tell the domain to go to my BC hosting but leave the emails where they are now)

I have several clients setup with hosting on Business Catalyst and email elsewhere. The documentation is very good and I reread it several times before starting.
I found it reassuring to search through the forum posts for things that went wrong for other people and read through the solutions. I was trying to avoid problems before they became problems.
I also worked with the my customer's previous host and explained that the client was going to host with me but keep the email with them. The company was extremely helpful in making sure that the process was smooth for the client.

Do you have your email account set up on your computer e.g. on Outlook on a PC or Mail on a Mac ? If you have then you should be able to sync the settings from that to your iPad via the Info tab when connected to your computer's iTunes. Or you could just look at the settings for the account on your computer's email program and copy them over to the iPad manually.
The incoming and outgoing server names are the servers that your email provider uses for your account to recieve (incoming) and send (outgoing) emails. A lot of accounts should be covered by the options that are listed on the 'Add Account' screen - for my Yahoo based accounts I just chose Yahoo! and the settings were set for me. If you have an account that isn't covered by those types then you could try logging into your account via a browser and see if they have any help for what settings you need to use. Different account providers have different settings, so if your can't find anything on your provider's site if you say on here who your provider is there might be somebody else here who has the same provider and can tell you what settings to use.

No. Although you could migrate your mail to iCloud via IMAP, iCloud does not support sending emails from your own domain - only iCloud's own @me.com and @mac.com addresses can be used.

Yahoo's servers are notoriously unreliable. Use the "Yahoo" account type when setting it up. If it doesn't work, and you are positive the credentials are correct, wait a while and try again.
While you're waiting, set up a free gmail or iCloud email account.

GoDaddy-hosted email account won't add to or work on my iPhone 6

I recently started working for a company that uses a GoDaddy.com-hosted email client/server. I followed GoDaddy's extensive online instructions for adding their account as a new email account to my iPhone 6 but it simply won't work.
I have made sure to double check the information I've entered for spelling errors.
Apple support talked me through the issues by phone and we made multiple attempts, but nothing worked. They said perhaps a user on this forum has more experience with GoDaddy specifically, same with GoDaddy
On one attempt to add the new account, I did get the account added and emails started to load, but none would send. It said it couldn't connect to the server. So, we deleted the account and tried to start over but now it will never progress beyond "verifying"
I am not using Outlook Exchange or 365, just a regular account
So, I am back to the point where I need to add this account to my list of email account options and also a solution for sending emails once it does acknowledge.
This is as far as I have gotten. Do you have any hacks?

I Have the same issue with my iPhone 6 , but in addition I can't make calls , send sms or access internet ,displaying no service or full signal, it stays like that till I retart my iPhone , i bought it on 22/12/2014 from Vodafone store, I went there and they recieved it , ereased the phone , then installed new software , changed the nano-sim with a new one , I started use it but nothing get better , really don't know what to do , very disappointed and about to throw my brand-new handset.

Different email accounts but same host confusion

I am trying to set up the mac mail client and have a number of email accounts on different domain names but they all share the same incoming mail server as all hosted on the same server but i receive an error message:
The account “[email protected]” already has this host name and username
Any one have an idea how to bypass this?
The email addresses are different domain names but the incoming mail server is the same on all email accounts due to the SSL cert on the server.

here is an example
[email protected] has incoming mail server of mail.domain1.com and this domain has the ssl cert against.
2nd account that errors is [email protected] incoming mail server would be the above mail.domain1.com due to the ssl cert yet the mail app picks up the user name sam for [email protected] as if its [email protected] yet they are two different accounts

Trying to add my thunderbird work email account to my new iphone, how do I find my "incoming mail server" and "outgoing mail server" host names?

Got a new Iphone 6 and I need to add my work thunderbird email account onto the phone. It is asking me for the host name of my incoming and outgoing mail server and I have no idea what this means- please help!

First off there is no such thing as a Thunderbird email account. Email providers issue email accounts and Thunderbird is email client software and not a provider.
You can look at the server settings in Thunderbird to see the settings it is using or you could get a list from your provider.
In Thunderbird go to the menu bar and select Tools-Account Settings-Server Settings to see the Inbound settings and Tools-Server Settings-Outbging Server(SMTP) for Outbound settings.
No menu bar with Tools showing? Press the alt key.

I am having a problem with email on my iPhone - email accounts disappear.

I have several email accounts linked to my phone - some exchange, others hosted by Gmail. Occassionally, some of the Gmail linked accounts will disappear from the list of email accounts in my mail app. When this happens, I will cycle the phone off and then back on (turning the phone all the way off, not just locking the phone), and the email accoutns will reappear in the mail app.
Does anyone know why this is happening? Does anyone know what I can do to correct this?

I am unable to delete an email account/profile in the settings for Mail/Contacts/etc.

I have 3 email accounts and on 2 of them there is the "Delete Account" red button at the bottom, but for one of them it is not an option. This particular account that I am trying to remove was installed using the iOS setup tool from GoDaddy.com, which is the host for my work email. These were the instructions I was asked to follow to setup the IMAP account on my iPad:
1. Go to the GoDaddy website (full site) in Safari
2. Type "Apple" in search bar top right.
3. Select "Automatically Setting up Email on Your Apple Mobile Device"
4. Select "Email InfoCenter"
5. Type in my email and password.
6. In email info center, select "Auto Setup fo iOS"
7. In the popup, there is a link in bold letters, select that and copy it, then paste it into your Safari address field at the top and go to that site.
8. Follow instructions and type in your password to validate.
This installs your IMAP account on your iPhone or iPad automatically. So when you go to Mail, it is there as an option.
The problem is that I can't figure out how to delete it!

I found this link for a similar problem someone had with a Lotus Notes account. I used it to resolve my issue with a different email account (basically followed the same steps, and then looked for the particular account I needed to delete)... hope it helps!

I just upgraded my BC account and forwarded my domain from the registrar (in my case: Network Solutions). So, now I'm in the process of setting up my email account in BC so that everything works and I'm getting this message:
Error
Account details for this user can only be updated via the site where it was first created.
I don't understand this. Don't I need to set up my email with the hosting company (which is now BC)?

I have two email accounts associated with one iTunes account with two passwords, I guess it happened when i changed my internet service provider.

Could be, but i do have an old email account, whis is not used, changed carrriers. I have noticed that some songs have a cloud with a line through it. I try to play it and a dialog box from Itunes pops up: "THIS COMPUTER IS NOT AUTHORIZED TO PLAY "THE THINGS WE DO FOR LOVE(SOUND TRACK VERSION, would you like to authorize it? THe apple ID haxe my old email address " and an empty block asking for my password. Well all i know is when you start trying to authorze with an old ID or something of that nature, the account is block and you need to do a new setup again. And who knows what other problems that will cause,
I just want the songs (i think there are several songs) assosiated with this old account to move to my new account.
Any ideas?
