CC not accurately tracking what applications have been installed
I have noticed that CC application seems to lose track of what applications I have installed versus not installed. For instance, I have 4 or 5 applications installed that are listed as not installed. And I am not confusing versions because I have the latest installed.. For example,I have have the latest lightroom installed, but it is listed at the bottom with a install button and no longer listed with a "up to date". The current version I have installed is the latest release. I just got a request to install Edge Animate CC 2014 which I already installed. I can't believe I am the only person experiencing this issue?
Is there any method to get CC to re-discover what applications are installed and not installed so it will more accurately perform better? Starting and stopping the CC app makes no difference.

Thank you very much for the solution! Much appreciated. The "Up to Date" solution seems to be designed for those who have experience incorrect installs/uninstalls with the applications. I had tried solution 2 but it did not change things. I found out later this was not my problem.
I just got off the phone with adobe dev rep (actually not sure what area they work) who called me to get more information by connecting to my system to see the issue. The consensus (adobe) on my issue was that I have applications installed on my 'D' drive and CC has been designed by default to have all software be installed on the 'C' drive only. This is why it is not tracking my installations correctly. I know this not to be the case, because this issue had been occurring prior to me migrating installs to the 'D' drive. Well, of course, when all apps were on the C drive and you saw the issue, it must of been the "Up to Date" issue of install/uninstall errors that caused the tracking of installed apps to become inaccurate. Again, I know this not to be the case because I would see an accurate accounting of my apps installed and then a month or two later when new CC updates or a new CC app itself would install, the accounting of what apps I had installed would be incorrect.
Unfortunately, it comes down to no proof because they are dismissing what they see as proof now to being attributed to the fact that all my apps are not installed on my 'C' drive. Unless I was willing to uninstall all the apps and then re-install them on my C drive, which I am not. There is no real solution at the moment. I think real issue is the design flaw of CC expecting all app installations to be on the C drive (which the rep indicated they are planning on fixing, I sure hope so). Once that design issue is fixed, maybe CC will track more accurately. If not, I will have the proof at least.

How to determine which of the Oracle security products have been installed

I would like to determine whether or not the Oracle security products have been installed for an Oracle database.
The Oracle security products are:
* Oracle Database Vault
* Oracle Audit Vault
* Oracle Configuration Management
* Oracle Total Recall
* Oracle Advanced Security
* Oracle Data Masking
* Oracle Label Security
* Oracle Secure Backup
* Oracle Database Firewall
So what I thought is to look at the "DBA_REGISTRY" table which displays information about the components loaded into the database.
But on the other hand there also is the "V$OPTION" view which lists database options and features.
Does anybody know, how I could correctly determine whether or not each of the product is installed?
I guess for "Oracle Database Vault" I should query V$OPTION, but what should I do with the other ones? And in case DBA_REGISTRY would be the right table, how would the comp_ids look like for the products?

when you double click the circle buttom, and the little bar pops up from what you have been using... is it using data while being in there? is it a good idea to minimize evertthing out of there often so its not using more data ? or does it not matter?

Some of my applications have been saying I need the latest version of Adoebe Flash Player. When I try to download it I get the following error message: 'Frame Load interrupted' and the installation stops. Any suggestions?
You can only use apps downloaded from the App store, not via a browser. There is no Flash for any iOS device including the iPod.

Your version of Safari is still supported. Please see Adobe Flash Player | Tech specs for supported OS and browsers.
If the Flash Player plugin is in the Plug-ins (disabled) folder it's because it's an older version that Apple has disabled in Safari. This has nothing to do with whether or not Flash Player supports the browser.
I'm not sure what you mean by "when i click on flash player itself i am told there is no application to open it." Flash Player.plugin only works in the browser to view Flash content in the browser. The plugin does not open files outside of the browser. If you have SWF files you'd like to view outside of the browser, then you'll need the Flash Player projector. However, based on your previous comments this doesn't appear to be what you are trying to do.
Google Chrome does embed Flash Player in it, while Firefox does not. Mozilla has also recently started blocking older versions of Flash Player in Firefox similar to what Apple is doing in Safari.
Following the 'clean install' instructions should result in you having the latest version of Flash Player installed that will not be blocked by the browser.

[email protected]I'll say it again in case you missed it the first time: V$ views are NOT part of the data dictionary. You can't read the data dictionary until the database is opened.
If you've performed a recovery 'until cancel', your datafiles are all in synch with each other. They may even agree with checkpoint change number in the controlfile. But what about your redo logs? By definition, they will have changes in them from a time after the point in the redo stream you got to when you said 'cancel'.
Therefore, the redo logs will be ahead of where the rest of the database has now gotten to.
And that is why you HAVE to open the database with a resetlogs operation (that is, 'alter database open resetlogs;'). That causes the existing redo logs to be wiped clean and thus cleared of any redo from a time after the time the rest of your database has been recovered to. -

akI think pattern maker was removed in CS3 from my memory. In CS4 Extract and Contact Sheet were also removed. These are still accessible by installing the plug ins from previous versions
Exactly WHY they are removing these things from the standard install? because there are certain portions of the development staff that are becoming obsessed with what they are calling "bloat'. There was a brief period (Photoshop 6 to 7) when certain "New Features" like Extract and Pattern maker were introduced, looked like some kind of sideline - they honestly were not put together, or thought through very well. So now they are removing them. -
