CC photoshop + lightroom offer

Not sure this is the right place to get a 'real' response: a response from someone at Adobe who 'knows'. But here goes.
I see there's a new offer till 2 December for the $9.99 (ten bucks) a month offer, open for all, as it should have been from day one.
Does anyone 'know' if the offer for owners of cs3-cs6 till the end of the month, till 31 December, still stands? Has it been taken off the table?
I'm leaving Saturday for a few weeks. Didn't think I'd need to make this decision till I came back. Again, I feel like I've got a gun to my head because of unclear language from Adobe. Because they have changed their minds, again, and again. I'm really fatigued by all this effort. Tired of having to dig for clear info about a product I use for work.
There's conflicting and sometimes ridiculous info circulating like mad on some forums.
So. Anybody got the 'truth', this time, about what is available, what's not available, and the time restraints?
Thanks for any help on this.

Hi Bev  I have received the Email below from [email protected].  Can you please confirm if the Email is genuine.  I suspect it is (given the security alert on the Adobe UK website), but it's not addressed to myself and the incident was over 10 weeks ago !!!!.   Adobe       Important Password Reset Information  As we announced on October 3, Adobe discovered sophisticated attacks on our network involving the illegal access and removal of a backup database containing Adobe IDs and encrypted passwords. We are writing to let you know that your Adobe ID was in the database taken by the attackers -- but, importantly, your current password was not . As a result, we did not reset your password. We have no reason to believe that your Adobe ID account is at risk or that there has been unauthorized activity on your account. The database taken by the attackers came from a backup system that contained many out-of-date records and was designated to be decommissioned. Adobe’s authentication system of record, which cryptographically hashes and salts customer passwords, was not the source of the database that was taken.  However, if you use your old passwords on any other websites, you should change those passwords. We also recommend that you follow password best practices to help ensure your current password is secure:  Don’t reuse passwords: Your password should be unique to your Adobe ID account. Don’t reuse a password you have previously used with your Adobe ID or a password you are using on any other website.  Make sure your password is difficult to guess: Your password should be at least eight (8) characters in length. It should contain a mix of different character sets, such as upper case letters (A-Z), lower case letters (a-z), digits (0-9), and special characters (# $ % & - _ { }). It should not use all or part of your name or your Adobe ID.  We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you. We value the trust of our customers and are working aggressively to prevent these types of events from occurring in the future. • Special Photoshop/Lightroom Offer , is Bridge included?

I am an extensive user of the full CC, and love it. The subscription model is great as my software gets updated whenever there is an update.
AND the software is getting better all the time.
I am training my wife / weaning her off Nikon NX software to using Bridge, Photoshop and In Camera Raw.
I have my CC bundle installed on her PC ( 2 PC's allowed )
    But I have 2 PC's one being a laptop.
I need my CC bundle back.
There is a fantastic offer at present "Photoshop and Lightroom" for $AUD9.99 per month.
If I get my wife signed up on this will she get Bridge and In Camera Raw?
She now is a big user of Bridge and In Camera Raw, and I would be in big trouble if
she cannot use Bridge etc. any more.
    So, what is the solution?

The software license is strictly for ONE (1) user on two computers that are not used at the same time.
How does one Interpret one user.  If you have one machine with Photoshop installed on it and only one user can use that machine at a time.  However the machine can be used by a hundred people using their own user id or a single shared user id. Are there a hundred users or one user.  Only one user can use Photoshop at any given time. To me its not clear that my wife can not use my machine and use Photoshop.   I do agree that wife and I would be violating the license agreement if we were to use two machines at same time and user Photoshop activated for my adobe account.
Because I do not run a Mac I can only run one version of Photoshop at a time on my machine for Adobe block two version of Photoshop from running on Windows by slamming you into any currently running version of Photoshop when you try to start a different version. This makes regressing testing very hard to do. Perhaps its why Adobe doesn't do a good job doing regression testing. Strictly speaking I may be violating my license agreement when I run two different version of Photoshop on two machine at the same time to do regressing testing when I install new version of Photoshop but then I'm only one user and Adobe does not do a good job when it comes to regression testing.

  • Photoshop & Lightroom CC 9.99 offer

I am interested in the 9.99 Photoshop and Lightroom offer and have been reading the FAQ (http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html...).  Am I correct in saying that this offer is not available to me, as I am using CS4 Design Premium ? If not - what options are available for someone like me, who only really uses Photoshop and Lightroom ?

For a limited time, Adobe has opened up the Photoshop Photography Program for all customers worldwide – in other words, for the next couple weeks there are no qualifications or eligibility requirements at all and anyone can get it...
Pricing, components, and all other details of the package remain the same.

  • Purchased the Photoshop / LightRoom 5 "CC" for $9.99 - where's the serial number(s)?  (cross-post)

Title pretty much says it all.
I am new to Creative Cloud - and this forum, etc.
I purchased the $9.99 / month deal that Adobe is offering to new customers, etc.
Downloaded everything that I need to download (I think).
Tried to run Photoshop - but am being asked if I want to start my "trial"
or I have the option to "License This Software"
but where is the Serial Number for Photoshop & LightRoom 5?
I imagine it's right under my nose - but I do not see it anywhere.
The screen which appears (after I sign in) says:
Am I supposed to "Start Trial" or "License This Software"
To make things even more confusing:
I just ran LightRoom 5 for the first time.
There was a serial number automatically inserted in the space provided.
Not sure what's going on - but this is becoming a little overwheling.
I suppose it's the price I must pay for being an old fart!

    @ didjunior:
Hi.  Sorry, but I don't have any good news for ya.
My issue has been resolved, however - it was due to a lengthy chat I had online with an Adobe Associate.
We were able to get everything running the way 'twas intended,
but there were some hoops of fire with which I had to jump.
Wish I could help....but the only thing I can say is to attempt a "Live Chat"
    With the Adobe help team.
Hope you get it smoothed over.
    Good luck to you.

  • Why is my free Beta Photoshop Lightroom asking for a license?

In the nearly daily Flash Update I received an offer for a "Free Beta Photoshop Lightroom" and for once took Adobe up on one of their offers. I figured even though it was a Beta it would be nice to have a free program to go along with my paid version of CS Master Collection. I installed the flash update and recieved no notification that Lightroom had been installed. First bad sign. I checked my applications and yes, it was there, great. I clicked on it and it then asked me to decide to enter my license number or to choose the 30 day free trial.
    Free Trial?
The offer was not for a free trial. It was for a Free Beta version with no mentinon of a trial period. Is Adobe familar with the false advertising laws in America? I am saddened with the direction that Adobe seems to have taken with their advertising and promotional inaccuracies. Had I known this was a free trial I would not have accepted the download. Considering it was advertised as free I want my free light room.
I dont think it is wise for Adobe to be making their long time customers unhappy. Is adobe going to stand behind their advertisement in the updates?
I was told by the chat help that they do not know anything about this as well. How can adobe not know what ads they have with their flash player updates?
I am getting very dissappointed with the games Adobe is playing.
I have to add, that Mohammed in the chat window was very good and patient. Adobe, your slipping and I for one do not like it.

Keith, of course public offerings. I am sorry you do not have the experience of going to a Software site and seeing the offer of Beta software. The largest of course is MS who has offered Beta in a number of different manners. Some with a year time limit others with no time limit due to it being a beta. Many companies offer it.
This is a customer complaint and a resolution should be found and not disbuted because of your personal expereinces that have no bearing on my experiences or your disbelief.
An example of a good helpful post is Vicotria's post. She is attempting to find out what is going on, you and the other guy are provoking an argument, and that is not staying on topic. I dont care that you need proof that I have beta's from whatever source I received them from. I would like to know what happened.
    Victoria,
Thank you for trying to find a solution. The windows are not the same but are similar. Considering I do not have a screen shot, could I have misread it? Maybe. I dont have a screen shot to disbute it. Why I am considering that I misread it is because you tried to duplicate my experience and had appear on two different machines. That unlike the other off color posts suggests I misread it and was not dillusional about companies offering betas and my beta releases on my shelves.
I will take a screen shot from now on when these offers come up. Thank You Victoria.
    PS Victoria,
That screen capture you have is the web page also. The update comes up in its own seperate window on the computer when a new update is available. I have the settings where it will not do auto updates. It will inform me when an update is available.

  • Adobe photoshop CS3 versus adobe photoshop lightroom 2.3

I already own adobe photoshop CS3. Is it worthwhile to get adobe photoshop lightroom 2.3? Is it easier to use?

You can check out some of the free Lightroom tutorial videos here
    http://www.adobe.com/designcenter/lightroom/articles/lir2am_videotutorials.html
to get a sense of how workflow goes in Lightroom, and what Lightroom can do. I also agree that taking the free trial is going to give you a better sense of whether Lightroom will meet your specific needs than any answers you'll get here.
Lightroom is considered to be more newbie friendly than Photoshop. All arts editing programs, as far as I'm concerned, if they're any good, have a learning curve to master the features, and Lightroom is no exception, but LR's learning curve does tend to be less steep than Photoshop's for many users.
Many forum members who do have extensive experience with both programs have posted here that they now do the great majority or all of their editing with at least most of their images in Lightroom. Photoshop still has things it can do that Lightroom cannot do or cannot do as well, so it's not uncommon for people to post here that with an image that needs something exceptional, they'll still go over to Photoshop and put in some heavy duty editing time there. Adobe has made bouncing back and forth between the two programs easy. But often with Lightroom, you can make an image quite good with just a minute or two of edits, once you quickly get the hang of the program, and it offers many advantages in organization of large blocks of images.
