CC programs can't be installed on replaced Mac

I had a MacBook Air with PS and InDesign installed from Creative Cloud. But the harddrive is broken and I had to replace the Mac. I restored documents and settings from backup, but I had no backup for the programs. So I have to reinstall the programs.
When I open Creative Cloud, the formerly installed programs seem to be there. But the programs are not installed and not on my (new) harddrive. And I can't install teh programs, because CC thinks they are already installed...

Go to /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installer folder and if product uninstallers are present there try uninstalling from there and then relaunch Creative cloud app. If this doesn't resolve the problem you can try uninstalling and then installing again Creative cloud.

  • Can Smartview be installed on a Mac Book

My company is starting to offer Mac books as an option to our user community. I have had Finance users tell me that they want to switch.
Can SmartView be installed on a Mac? If so, is there a separate download and where would I find detailed instructions? The machine I am using has Excel:Mac Version 14.1.0 and as I am new to Mac, I am not sure how to check the version of the OS.
    Thanks.

There is no mac version of smart view so unfortunately you wouldn't get far unless you run a vm fusion windows OS on top of the Mac OS or you could have the Macbook as a dual boot with a windows OS.

Be sure to start your iMac using its original grey System Install DVD: Insert that disc and start your Mac while holding the d key. At the Mac OS X Utilities screen select Disk Utility and format the hard disk. Select "Mac OS X Extended (Journaled)".
    Then, install OS X.

  • If I buy iLife upgrade on disc, can I then install on other Macs through the AppStore?

If I buy iLife upgrade on disc, can I then install on other Macs through the AppStore?

Only if you pay again. There is no credit in the Mac App Store for having bought the DVD or iOS version of a product.

  • IPhoto update can't be installed on my MAC ref. "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled." this is not possible help?

Recent upgrade to OS X Yosemite on my MAC and iPhoto update can not  now be installed msg reads, "This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled." this is not possible help?

That error message can be misleading. It means, that iPhoto on your Mac is not associated with your Apple ID.
Either you did not set up  your Mac using the same Apple ID - did someone help with your setup and use a different ID? Perhaps a family member? Or did you let someone borrow your installer disks?
Or did you not yet "Accept" iPhoto and other iLife apps to your Apple ID? Check the "Purchased" tab of the App Store, if any applications are waiting to be accepted. If you see "Accept" buttons, press them.
You may  be unable to "Accept" now, if you missed the update to iphoto 9.5.1 on Mavericks. You could try to buy iPhoto, however. If you are lucky, it may show for free.
Backup your iPhoto library, if you do not have a current backup.
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the Applications folder, but do not empty the Trash, so you can put it back,if need be.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your current AppleID.
Open the main page "Featured" of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support to sort out the AppleID. Use this link: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/

  • Can't download/install apps from Mac App Store

When I click "Get" and "Install App," nothing happens after that, no prompt for the Apple ID password appears. I have downloaded apps before with no problem. I have already tried clearing the App Store cache, cookies, and preference files, and resetting the PRAM, with no success.

I have a friend in the same boat - she just got a used Mac and I am her "helper". It's a mid-2010 iMac, on 10.6.not sure. LOL I was walking her through a purchase on the App Store and when she clicked the price and then buy/get, nothing happens. No drop down window that pops into the main window where you can enter your Apple ID or create one if you don't have one. I had her establish her Apple ID and get that party started, still nothing. Hard to find anything else out there on the web for solutions.
She's friends with the people that had the Mac before and they did do some cleaning up the hardware prior to giving it her, but nothing is obvious about fixing this issue. I asked her to double check with the friends. Glad to know that she's not the only one with this problem.

  • Can't get installed fonts on mac to appear in CS6

    Hi
I have installed and validated a number of fonts on my mac running maverick. When I go to CS6, they don't appear. I know similar questions have been asked before but I can't find the answer. I do not have a folder under application support/adobe/fonts which is odd. I have installed fonts ok in the past, so unsure why it's not working now. The are .ttf files ans as said I have validated them using fontbook
    cheers
    Phill

If they are loaded in Fontbook they should be available in Photoshop.

When you alt-click Go > Library in the Finder that Folder is missing?

  • Adobe Digital Edition - Can´t be installed on Intel based Mac 1.7.2

    Hello!
I´ve bought a ebook and have to use Adobe Digital Edition. After the download of Adobe Digital Edition 1.7.2 x86 the program can´t be installed.
Directly after starting the installation the program says "The programm will only work with Intel based Macintoshees".
The problem is, I am definetily using a 15" Macbook Pro 2010 with Intel and this problem occurs.
I am also sure, I have downloaded the correct version.
I could not even download the ADE on the adobe page because my system doesn´t fulfil the requirements which could not be.
Is there an official problem with the current version or anybody who could send me an older version?
    Thanks a lot in advance!
    Henning

10.6.8 is Snow Leopard, not Lion.
    10.5 = Leopard

  • My daughter has a 2002 intel running Tiger and I want to update it to Snow Leopard. I get an error message that OSX can't be installed on this system. Please help!!! Thanks

    Hi,
I'm having a really hard time here.
I want to update my daughters intel from Tiger to Snow Leopard for her to make her life (and mine) easier.
When I try install the OS, I keep getting an error message that OSX can't be installed on this Mac.
    What's going on?
Never had so much trouble before.
    Please help.
    Thanks so much

You're welcome. Please note that it is a little more difficult to obtain Snow Leopard these days. Please see the post by Kappy at the link below.

  • I have the following Apple Computer: Dual 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4, 2 MB per processor. Can I put install new Intel Xeon processors in place of the current ones to bring my Mac up to the MacPro standards and so I can install the new Mac software?

I have the following Apple Computer: Dual 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4, 2 MB per processor. Can I put install new Intel Xeon processors in place of the current ones to bring my Mac up to the MacPro standards and, if so, can I then install the new Mac software (Lion)?

As has been clearly stated, no, no, and no.
If such an upgrade were possible, it probably would be more money than it would be worth.
If you're running a G4 (dual-processor even) you can pick up a used Mac mini (intel that is, and something from 2010 or newer would be the best bet) that will be screaming fast compared to a G4.
Once upon a time, processor upgrades were not only possible, but a good deal, and a relatively inexpensive way to get more life out of your Mac. I upgraded a G3 tower to a G4 for  few hundred dollars, and I was glad I went that route at the time. Finally,  CPU upgrades, at least as far as I know, aren't available anymore.

Click here and follow the instructions. You may need to completely remove and reinstall iTunes and all related components, or run the process multiple times; this won't normally affect its library, but that should be backed up anyway.

  • When installing itunes get error "program can't start because msvcr80.dll is missing

I cancelled the installation of the latest version of iTunes on my Windows PC and when attempting to reinstall it, I now get a message that "The program can't start because MSVCR80.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix the problem." Reinstalling the program does not fix the problem. Repairing the installation does not fix the problem. A search shows the "missing" file does exist in the MSOCache directory.

  • When opening iTunes I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled, reinstalled many times - nothing! help please.

When opening iTunes on my new Windows 7 PC I continue to get the same messages, 'The program can't start because AVFoundationCF.dll is missing' and 'iTunes was not installed correctly. Error 7 (Windows error 126)' I've uninstalled and reinstalled many times to no avail, even tried it on a different user account and still nothing. I recently installed Panda Internet Security 2012 (about 12 days ago), initially iTunes worked fine as usual but within the last few days I've been  unable to open it with the same messages appearing. I've read through some of these pages and tried everything that's been advised, uninstalling and reinstalling while internet and laptop security is swithched off, downloading tools to completely remove anything related to iTunes, tried it in Safe Mode, nothing has worked. I've also noticed that in the start menu when I click on iTunes, it says '(empty)' where it should have the logo and ability to start the program, does this mean it doesn't download + install properly each time I've tried? Any help would be enormously appreciated.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried the following user tip?
