CC serial number....grief

From where does one obtain the serial number ...for CC versions of the APPS? (Converting trials to licenced)
I was supplied PO numbers and VIP numbers...but not a serial in sight or any way to find one.
I followed a path to an Adobe supplied solution that does not work as indicated.

Following that goes straight to Serial Number entry boxes one one signs in!
I used to love typing in the long complicated serial numbers that came with the disks / boxes on a little sticker. .
Always worked for me.
Seems all downloads originate as trials so thought this could have been much beter thought out!
Also...totally underwhelmed how Adobe rubs our noses in the advantageous prices their US customers get for these products . Large splash screen showing the rates.
Very very uncool seeing we all go to the same CLOUD space to get the apps.

Just got sorted.
A rep from Adobe New Zealand contacted me and nailed the issue by taking me thru a few very un intuitive steps. He is passing the issue back to Adobe.
Brilliant service and I was well impressed that my supplier arranged that to happen.
We may pay extra outside the US but maybe thats why.
One of the steps in the Team User setup is ..you need to invite your self to participate in your own Cloud Subscription via the Adfmon Console.
The invitation to one self appears to be as if one is setting up (inviting) another team member. Its not. Original user becomes #1 in the team.
For the record - there are no serials required for users in the Team Cloud ( and maybe not anywhere else). That is a hangover from when there was Cloud CS6 and perpetual licence options.
Maybe that helps others.

I'm trying to add my subscription to my products and services and need the serial number for Creative Cloud? Within my Adobe products subscriptions and services there is no Adobe Creative Cloud subscription listed? In order to register this subscription I am required to enter a serial number for it to register? I do not understand why this subscription isn't automatically added to my accounts products and I'll be damned if I can find its serial number? Good Grief lets complicate matters, RIGHT? As simple as this wshould be, does anybody know where to locate it, please?

Lost serial Number for FCE 2

I have the disc, The app is installed on my comp, but I have lost the serial number to 'reinstall' after an upgrade to OS 10.5.8.
When I upgraded from 10.3.9 to 10.5.8, I thought it only upgraded the system - but no it wiped: Mail, Pics, iTunes and a host of apps. which I am slowly trying to re-install.
I'm looking for the Serial number of my Final Cut Express 2 - I cannot find a FCE2 community - Is there a way to retrieve the number ?

I regret having upgraded at all with the grief it's given me in apps that are 'dead'. Losing all my Mail, ditto iTunes 1000 numbrs - Playlists and Pictures - 30000.
Lucky I had pic backups and all my tunes are on CD.
Silly me I thought that upgrades only upgraded the system didn't realise that it wiped the system clean.
Luckily my eMac cannot upgrade any higher so I will not have to worry about reloading all my apps with a next upgrade.

"Duplicate Serial Number" on 10.6.3...

Greetings to all.
I've about had it with 10.6 Server. Never in my life has a server OS given me as much grief as this particular package has.
I recently installed SLS onto a brand new 2009 Mac Pro. Everything went smoothly, except for the fact that- no matter what I initially tried during the Server setup assistant (first boot), it claimed my serial number was in use- which is simply impossible. Fine, whatever, google the issue, find out serialnumberd is borked on 10.6, disconnect the second ethernet NIC and proceed with the setup.
Update to 10.6.3, re-enable the second ethernet port- boom. "Duplicate serial number".
No matter what I do, no matter what I try, 10.6.3 Server will *NOT* accept my serial number if the second ethernet card in the same machine is enabled. Both are on the same subnet, the primary adapter has an IP of 10.0.1.254 and the secondary adapter has an IP of 10.0.1.253.
If I disable the second NIC, then it accepts the serial number just fine.
I'm not sure what to do. Apple claims this has been fixed numerous times, and clearly it has not. I've gone so far as to completely reformat the machine, and the end results are always the same. After I upgrade to 10.6.3, serialnumberd insists on "seeing itself" on the network from the same machine, and refusing my serial.
Frankly, this issue is totally unacceptable and shouldn't even exist in the first place.
Is there a quick fix for this? Disconnecting the second adapter is not a solution; as this machine needs two IP's on the same subnet for various internal reasons.

Well, I suspect no one is going to like this solution, especially if you're like me and like to keep your severs patched. As I had 4 Xserves that I couldn't properly use, I decided to give something a try. Apple first claimed to 'resolve' the duplicate serial number problem with 10.6.1. Well, I went from 10.6 to 10.6.3 using the combined update, and it wasn't working. So, I did a clean install of 10.6 server, with all but one of my 4 nics plugged in. I registered the serial number, rebooted and then manually installed the 10.6.1 server patch from Apple. I then plugged in and activated my other 3 nics. No duplicate serial number problem. Hmm. I left if for a hour or so and the logs are fine. Hmm again. Okay, maybe it worked for 10.6.1 then it got broken in the 10.6.2 or 10.6.3 update. So I ran the software update and updated right to 10.6.3 along with all the other patches and downloads. Rebooted and everything is still fine. Not the BEST answer, but it appears to work. I have all 4 NICs on the same subnet and no duplicate serial number issue yet. It's been about half an hour and still no problems. Like I said, not great - especially if you have a full production server running 10.6.3 - the only way I was able to get this to work was to do a clean install, install ONLY the 10.6.1 (79MB) patch manually from Apple, then ran Software update to get things to 10.6.3.
I'm hopeful Apple will properly fix this ASAP, but until then, my workaround seems okay.

How are you supposed to get help from Apple if you don't know what your serial number is? They say to input the serial number of the "product" that you are asking about. Since my problem is how to deauthorize/authorize computers, and they are saying I have more than 5 (which I have never owned more than 5 computers in my life), I can't imagine what serial number they mean. Does it mean your desktop computer? If so, which one? Do they mean your device? LIke your iPhone, iPod or whatever? Do they mean the software ON one of your computers and/or devices? If so, which program, and on which computer/device?
We have three operational computers, one does not have iTunes on it. Since Apple is saying I have more than 5 authorized computers, and I can't imagine what they are, I am afraid to deauthorize all my computers. See what I mean? I just wanted to ask the question about how I can find out WHICH computers Apple thinks I have authorized, so I can decide if it's safe to deauthorize them all or not. I only know of 2 computers that have iTunes on them, so how can there be 5? We also have 2 iPhones and 2 iPods in this family, but one of the iPhones has his own apple id. He may have been using mine, since his computer died. I read that those don't count as "computers" to the 5. Do they, then?

In order to get the serial number off my desktop computer (that has iTunes on it already), I will have to move furniture, so I don't want to if that's not it. You could have more 5 computers authorized if you ever, for example, reformatted a hard drive or replaced a hard drive without deauthorizing the computer first. Apple's system would see that as a different computer, even though you don't. There's nothing to be afraid of in deauthorizing everything and the reauthorizing what you actually have. You won't lose any data. Mistimp is correct, they can't tell you which computers are authorized.

How Many Times Can I Use The Same Serial Number For Adobe Creative Suite 4?

I have design standard and was told I can use the same serial number on multiple computers. How many time can I use it? And say I install it on the maximum number of computers, but get a new computer, can I uninstall it on one of the old computers and use it on the new one? And can I use the programs on both computers simultaneously or do I have to use them one at a time?

Sorry Fred you are wrong.
If you have a single license you can install it on as many computers as you like. you can only activate the suite on two computers at anyone time. Work and Home or as many of us do it Desktop and Laptop. You can not use the computers simultaneously. You only have 20 activation/deactivations so use them wisely. Student versions only have one activation. You can not break up the suite installs the suite is considered one application.

How do I transfer an Acrobat serial number from one adobe account to another?

I've installed Adobe DC Pro on one of our user's computers. When it asked for an Adobe ID I entered the ID I used to purchase the serial number. Unfortunately now acrobat always starts on the new computer and displays my name instead of the end user name. So I'm wondering how to either transfer the serial number to the end user's adobe account, or alternatively re-associate the acrobat on the end user machine with the end user's own adobe account.

I don't know for the others but in my retail package ((not upgrade) I found two serial numbers. Though I haven't got time yet to try the second serial number on my MacBook, my logic says that with two different serials I could run both macs simultaneously and be on the network. But, my logic fails so often so it's better to shut my mouth, install Logic on MacBook and come back here again.

You need to contact Adobe Support when you have serial number and activation issues, either by chat or via phone.

Unable to update the serial number through bdc in Sales Order

Hi experts,
I written the inboud FM for to update the 3rd party items serial number to the sales orders through BDC Call transaction Method.
Here i am facing a problem when i have the 19 item Quan ,it is updating correct through idoc , when ever there is moe than 19 and at that if any serial number repeated for that if i am changing at that time it is loosing the control of the BDC and giving the control to the salesorder screen.
how can i handle that control again has to come to BDC prgrm......

Goods receipt MB01 with serial number problem

Dear MM Experts,
Iam a PM Consultant and this problem faced me while doing goods receipt from external maintenance order so i will appreciate any help regarding this issue,
In serial number profiles i did the stock check indicator to give an error message if there were incosistinces in stock data,
now this is the scenario:
after doing an external maintenance order and creating a PO with reference to the maintenance order PR, and also entering the specified serial number in the PO:
1) Goods Issuing: i used MB1B with movement type 541 and as the serial number already exist and not wrong so it didnt show any error messages and by checking the stock data in MMBE the material was in stock provided to vendor.
2) Goods Receipt: when using MB01 with movement type 101 and when entering the serial number of the material it gives an error message ALTHOUGH it is the same serial number issued and the same serial number in the PO
This is the error message :
Stock data of serial number G081 not suitable for movement
Message no. IO231
Diagnosis
The current stock information for the serial number G081 contradicts the stock information of the movement to be posted. The following stock information is valid for the document and the serial number: Batch Number Stock data Serial data C2
Only the first different field for the stock data/serial data is assigned. However, further data may also be inconsistent. To determine whether this is the case, you can start an analysis.
System Response
Two system responses are possible (set using Customizing): If the case of an error occurring, the assignment of the serial number to this posting procedure is not possible. In the case of a warning, you can, if necessary, transfer the notification.
Procedure
Assign a serial number which corresponds in your stock information to the stock data of the posting. You can display the serial numbers which can be used using Select serial numbers.

Hello,
A possibility to fix serial number status is by running the report RISTEQ07 in SE38 transaction. Please run this report as mentioned in the SAP Note 316868 (point 2).
While running the report please consider following points:
The report does not set any locks on the records to be corrected, in other words, the report should only then be executed in the correction mode if the master records (within the client) are not being used in another (changing) access.
During the search for inconsistent serial numbers, the system assumes that the stock segment is correct and the existence indicator might be incorrect.
In the correction mode, the existence indicator is adjusted (depending on the existence of the stock segment).
The report provides a test option (LP_TEST); if this option is active, the system only checks whether inconsistencies exist. Corrections are only carried out if the test mode is deactivated. Option LP_EXTD for the enhanced check should remain deactivated for the first run. In particular, if no inconsistency is recognized, the run should be repeated with the activated option.
Another possibility is to create/post a physical inventory document for the affected material and serial number.
Determine which material serial number is really on stock (physically on stock). You can do this, by either analyzing the history of each Serial Number or by carrying out a physical inventory.
Before posting the Physical Inventory the stock validation of the serial number profile of the material has to be switched off in OIS2 transaction (if it is switched on).
When you do this, you will get a Pop-up, please read the long text and execute the report RISERNR9 which is mentioned there.
After executing this report the inventory can be posted. When this is done please switch stock validation on again and execute report RISERNR9 again.
Perform this inconsistency correction only when you are sure that no one else is working on the system otherwise it could lead to more inconsistencies while the stock validation is switched off. Check SAP Note 612132 for further details.
In another words, you have to:
Create a physical inventory in MI01 transaction;
Enter a counted quantity in MI04 transaction;
Define each serial number to each qty on stock.
