CC thinks Photoshop is installed but it isn't

I deleted my Photoshop App on my Mac, along with Illustrator and Muse, and I uninstalled Creative Cloud. When I redownloaded and installed Creative Cloud, it says that all three of those apps are already installed on my computer so I cannot install them again, however, they are not installed on my Mac. How do I re-install programs that CC thinks are already installed? Thanks.

Hi willcn,
Please try the steps mentioned in the KB : http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/aam-lists-removed-apps-date.html

  • App Store says Lion is installed but it isn't - What happened?

I have the appropriate qualifying hardware and software and downloaded Lion, clicked on proceed and App Store says it is installed but it isn't.
    Any ideas?

Yet another individual in the same boat. ***, Apple?! Why must getting software be so obscure & complicated? What happened to: go to website, download thing, install thing?
I had Xcode 4.1 installed. Wanted to install (yet another) package with MacPorts, but got complaint that Xcode 4.1 is inadequate.
So I go to App Store & tell it to install current Xcode…This, BTW, left me with nearly zero feedback that something was going on. Only because I have a menubar widget showing network bandwidth did I know it was downloading.
while waiting (who knows how long it was to be), I had to sleep my computer to take it with me to work.
Upon waking my computer, App Store tells me Xcode is installed. Great!
Back to MacPorts to install that package: it tells me that Xcode 4.1 is too old. ***!?
Then things get messy & I end up clicking on the circle-X "button" next to XCode in the "Purchases" section of App Store, thinking that'll allow me to install it…that's a dead end
    I then try entirely removing "/Developer" & "/Applications/Install Xcode.app"another dead end
Trying all combinations of holding any/all keyboard modifiers (option/control/shift/command) while clicking on "Purchases" in App Store did nothing different than not holding any.
Now I'm left with no Xcode & no way to install it with App Storewhee! this is a fine pit I find myself in now.
What a lovely user experience! Please, may I have more?! <grumble> <fume>
In the end, I did resort to my "what happened to…" thought.
    Problem Solved:
Go to http://connect.apple.com/ & login with your (free) dev account.
Locate the current version of Xcode (4.3.2 for Lion) & download the dmg
Install like a normal person. (copy the Xcode.app from the mounted disk image to Applications)
After a bit of cleanup (things like "/usr/bin/xcodebuild -version" were trying to access things that used to exist), I've again got a working install of Xcode.

  • I was trying to install premier pro it says its installed but it isn't and i can't reinstall it

i was trying to install premier pro it says its installed but it isn't and i can't reinstall it

Thanks for the added information, the screenshot did not get posted but that is ok.
These steps should resolve the issue on your Mac:
Double-click on the link for Uninstall Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 at Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
Check if the Install link is now available in the Adobe Application Manager.
If not, install and run the Adobe Cleaner Tool to remove any traces of Premiere Pro. It can be downloaded from here: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html.
The Install link should now be available in the Adobe Application Manager.

No.  You should just have different options in the Creative Cloud manager.

  • App shows as installed but it isn't.

Did a clean install, redownloaded apps, this particular app shows as installed but it isn't. Any advice?

Interesting.  It was 24th January last year when I bought my App Store 09 version. (My first foray into the App Store).
I don't remember whether it updated the original or replaced it but the only version in my App folder is 09, so it must have been the latter.   Thanks for the star.

  • Organizer Crashes - says Direct X 10 Installed, but it isn't

The Photoshop Elements Organizer has just started crashing on me every time I try to open it.  It says "DirectX 10 is installed, but could not be initialized" and says to reboot.  I've rebooted multiple times and still crashes.  If I say I want to go to the Editor, that works fine.  I can open Premiere Elements fine.  I have run DXDiag and it says I have DirectX 9c not 10.  I have uninstalled Photoshop and reinstalled and get the same error.  I cannot think of anything that has changed on my computer since I used the organizer last other than installing a TMNT game which says it uses DirectX 8.  I've searched the Web and can't find any similar complaints.  I am running in windows XP.  Help!
    Thanks.

Please download the codecs from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/DirectX.htm.
Try reinstalling the application if this does not solve your problem. Please let me know if that works!

  • App store means installed but it isn't

I want to install the Kindle App out of the App Store but my Mac Book Pro needs more than a quarter hour to install. I just do an normal restart and now the app store means it is installed but i can't find it in the lunch pad or in the programs folder.
How i can to reset the app store, so i can install the app again?
    Thank you for your help

Try here > Mac App Store: How to resume interrupted downloads
a quarter of an hour? It's only a 46.9MB file. That should not take a minute on a broadband connection. Maybe two or three minutes on DSL.
If a "resume" doesn't help, if installed, disable anti virus software then try to resume the download.
The Little Snitch app can prevent apps from downloading or any other network monitoring software.
    And check Gatekeeper.
Open System Preferences > Security & Privacy then select the General tab.
Select:  Mac App Store and identified developers
If that area is grayed out, click the padlock icon to make changes. You may be prompted for your admin password before proceeding.
    OS X: About Gatekeeper
Beyond that... restart your router and try again.

  • Store says app is installed - but it isn't. What do I do?

I have purchased an app, in the store it says it is 'Installed' but then an error with come up saying there was a problem with installation and it doesn't appear in either launchpad or the applications folder. What do I do?

First, from the App Store menu bar top of your screen click Store > Check for Unfinished Downloads
If that didn't help, try re downloading the app.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed  then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.

  • FaceTime came with Lion already installed but it isn't shown as installed on the Apps Store...Help?

Facetime doesn't show as installed on the apps store but it normally comes with Lion 10.7 and Lion came pre-installed on my MacBook Pro. Does anyone know why is that? And how come the facetime installed doesn't connect to my iPhone 4 when I try to facetime call it?

It's a different version of Facetime. If you're running Lion, you have Facetime installed but it's not the same version as the one in the Mac App Store. I can assure you that having it show as not installed is normal; that's the way it is for every Mac on which I've installed Lion.
Be sure your brother and you are not using the same ID. You should be able to use an email-style address or a phone number.
I'm finding that establishing a Facetime link takes several seconds, so have a bit of patience - it's not instant. And once your Facetime partner accepts the connection, it takes another couple of seconds.
Be sure the iPhone is connected to your local wifi network, because Facetime will not work with cellular data connections under iOS 4. It will later this year under iOS 5.
