CC update Premiere 6 failure

I have an update notice for my CC membership, but for the legacy Premiere Pro 6.x which I also have. The update has failed on seven retries. The message includes "U44M1P7" and the "more details" just redirects me to the Installers--Perhaps someone can suggest how I either get rid of the update notification (without deleting Premiere Pro 6.x) or get the update to install? (Running OS 10.8.4 on a quad-core Mac Pro tower, 16GB ram)

  • Error code U44M1P34 when trying to update Premiere Pro and After Effects- tried everything, nothing works

I am out of ideas here. I had several program installed for months with no issues. Every update was fine. I haven't moved any installations or changed configurations, etc. I have probably a dozen CC apps installed or more.
Then out of nowhere, I start getting an error U44M1P34 when trying to update Premiere Pro. After Effects updates give me a similar error.
    1. Tried uninstalling these apps, then restarting, then installing again, but no luck. It tells me that installation was successful, but an update failed.
    2. I tried clearing all temp files, etc. No luck.
    3. I uninstalled EVERYTHING Adobe related on my computer. Restarted. Ran the Cleaner tool as admin. Restarted. Installed Creative Cloud then tried to install Premiere Pro. Same problem.
So after all that, including putting my work on hold so I can uninstall everything from my machine and try all this junk, it still gives me an error. I can't update those two programs, and maybe more(hard to say since some programs haven't had updates since this started, so it might be worse than just those two).
I was able to install programs like Fireworks and Muse without issue since these problems started.
I've pretty much read every post of every thread where this error message is at. I've looked at my log files, but don't see anything fatal(please tell me what I'm supposed to be looking for as the instructions given are vague at best).
I just need to get this stuff installed and updated. Any ideas? Since I've literally removed Adobe's presence from my computer, then started from scratch, what else is there to try? I haven't moved ANYTHING to another drive or partition. Everything is in the same place it was since 10 months ago when I started CC.
I'm running Windows 8.1 Update 1 64-bit. 16GB RAM, hundreds of GB of HD space remaining. Geforce GTX760m (also have the Intel 4600 integrated graphics, for whatever that's worth).
I've run both PP and AE  just fine, and they even run fine without the update. But I WANT to update them.
Ideas or thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.
    Brent

Well, the Adobe rep hasn't called me yet.
The good news though is that it's no longer an issue. Since the 2014 versions of the Adobe CC apps were released today, I was able to install/update just fine. So it was something with the previous update that was broken, or something like that.
FWIW, the new 2014 editions are fantastic so far. Some great improvements that I'm happy with. I just wonder whether this update issue will rear it's ugly head again with a later revision?
Time will tell. Thanks for the help regardless!

  • U44M1P7 error when updating Premiere CS6

I can't update Premiere, or any other CS6 applications, without getting this U44M1P7 error message. Recently, I had to reinstall all of my CS6 apps due to my company switching to an Adobe Teams account and since then, none of my apps will update. I have also tried to download the update files and install them manually using the Adobe Patch Installer and I get this error code: U44M2I218. Please help Adobe staff.

  • Can't update Premiere Pro CS5.5.2?

When I attempt to update Premiere Pro CS 5.5.2 by clicking Help, and then Updates, I get an all-black/dark gray pop-up screen that says Adobe null at the top left, with a blue loading bar - and that's it.
I am currently using CS 5.5.2
    Windows 7
I checked my Symantec Endpoint Firewall and ensured that all Adobe programs are allowed, and not blocked. Then I restarted my computer, and first verified that all Adobe programs are allowed access, and then I attempted again to update Premiere Pro, and I still encountered the Adobe null error pop-upscreen.
How can I get this program to update? I want to be sure and have the most recent codecs and etc.
    Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Here is a screen shot image of the pop-up error screen:

    Hi John,
Thanks for your response. However, from the link you provided, it looks like CS 6.0.5 is the most recent CS version.
So I once again tried to update to CS 6.0.5, and I unfortunately get the same Adobe null pop-up screen I reported in my original post here.

  • Unable to update Premiere 2014 to 2014.1 (8.1) on PC (Windows 8.1). CC says it is 'up-to-date'

I can't update Premiere 2014 to 2014.1 (blue highlights) (v8.1) on PC (Windows 8.1). CC says it is 'up-to-date'. While on Mac it is updated and I got blue highlights. I try to uninstall everything from control panel and reinstall it back. It doesn't work.

Dym when you reinstall Premiere all available updates will be applied.  Do you meet or exceed all of the system requirements listed at System requirements | Adobe Premiere Pro?
If so then please check the installation logs of the updates for the specific error messages preventing the updates from being applied.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret the installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

  • After updating Premiere to 4.1 - XDCAM EX error- files offline?

    Hi!
I have a problem; after updating Premiere CS4 ver. 4.0.1. to version 4.1 files in projects are offline. There are some files (for example, CG animation in other formats as quick time) that are on timeline normally, but all XDcame EX footage is offline. That usually happened with external disks changing letter names, but the letter for disk is the same.
What to do? The problem is that I have about 1.000 clips and they're all structured in subfolders, that means that each file is in its own folder due to xdcam EX file structure and it's quite impossible to link each of them manually (or it will take 2 days only clicking on every file).
Agrhhh... once again dealing with Adobe's "improvements".
One more thing; when trying to link file, i get "The importer reported a generic error"!?
And I've just found out that there's no xdcam ex presets anymore in Premiere. How to get them back?
    Thanks,
    Ziga

    Hi!
Well, after 4 hours of problem-solving I figured out that the main issue was that 4.1 didn't support xdcam-ex anymore. Furthermore, when reinstalling premiere back to 4.0.1 it couldn't open a project (looks like 4.1 did something to it I guess), so final solution now was to open an auto-save project, which has just opened.
Probably there is an issue with production premium to be first installed as a trial. The solution might be to uninstall all the programs and clean the registry and install it back directly with serial number. But it takes time and I have to finish project today.
I'm really confused about Adobe's solutions in last few years; every new file/software/update they provide solves 1 old problem and gives 10 new problems.
Now it's a big mess but luckily the project is now open at least. I really do not recommend anyone to update to 4.1 because of huge problems you might have with files, at least not to do it during the work on a project.
    Regards,
    Ziga

  • Need to update premiere but it stops & needs to close CEPHtmlEngine... what is this???

I need to update premiere on the creative cloud but it stops and 62% and needs to close "CEPHtmlEngine" in order to continue. What is this and how can I close/update the app?!

Jeff - I know this is a different topic, but have you been able to figure out the cause/solution for that nasty crash problem that a lot of us are experiencing, seemingly related to the render operation in PP 2014?
It is pretty random, and occurs instantaneously, usually upon hitting the render button, sometimes partway through a render, and sometimes upon simply opening a project.
It is always a complete system crash, computer shuts down, has to go all the way through a re-boot.
It has happened to me at least 15 times, and also to others according to the numerous blog entries.
There must be something in there that can be removed or tweaked or altered.
    Thanks for any 'specific' feedback.
I am on a Mac, but others on PC's report the problem as well.
    Cheers,
    Peter

  • Some sequences are lost after updated premiere pro 2014

I downloaded trial ver of pp cc2014 last month and now got updated to 8.1 . before i had trouble with opening file  it was newer version of premiere pro edited and i couldn't get my file opened up again untill i have updated premiere cc 2014 in adobe application manager. and now i could get my file opened. but the main sequence is lost, i couldn't even find it in project panel either. i clicked open project choose the one i have edited before which is a month ago. and it says audio filter missing and bunch of codes. Whats happening here? please help!

Go to HD/Library/Quictime and delete all .component files. It appears that the correct procedure is to delete all QT components and everything so far works. I have to do this every time I run after effects or Premiere Pro, and remember to put them back in again after shutting down software. Any ideas why this is happening folks?

Putting a date in the file name of the PDF document would cause some problems, since we need to link to the files in a consistent way. But there is a date in the footer of each page other than the cover page.
Of course, the HTML version on the Web is always up to date. When talking with someone online, I always just include a link.
