CCB 2.1.0 on Laptop - Acquisition Failed

In attempting to install CCB 2.1.0 on a Windows laptop, I get a Hibernate error message when issuing the command "spl start" using the standard SPLUSER / SPLPASS of 'SYSUSER' / 'sysuser00', something along the lines of "Acquisition of Resource Failed". This is coming just as the script is attempting to connect with the DEMO database [I had already started the environment without error] . I can access the DEMO database just fine from TOAD / SQLDELVELOPER, using CISADM as the user. I did not notice an error when I created the database, nor when I imported the DEMO DB. No errors on Oragensec, either.
Interestingly, if I make a user in DEMO called SYSUSER and give him CISUSER role rights, I see that I am able to connect to DEMO using the jdbc url for the thin Oracle client at 1521. (I've also separately confirmed JDBC connectivity to DEMO, using the same jdbc url using a Netbeans Java piece + used SQLDEVELOPER using the Advanced Connections settings). However, I then bomb with an ORA-00942 Table not found for CI_LOOKUP_VAL. If I make Public Synonyms for the CIASADM tables, I get in to the DB, and go past the CI)LOOKUP_VAL issue, but then bomb further down the line in Hibernate with another ORA-00942 on CI_WFM on a certain Feature.
Has anyone seen this before - or otherwise have any clues as to where to dig some more ?

So do you mean that the BPEL respository was already there when you did the install? If yes, then that explains the mismatch error. You should always clean up the old references if doing a reinstall. Drop the user and schemas related to PM and do a reinstall.

    Now I don't get the error anymore, and still in hope wireless saves power automagically.

    Odd is that /etc/laptop-mode/modules/ is empty as all the other dirs mentioned in 3 latter log items.

    (If there's a SpeedBit LSP showing up in Autoruns, it's usually best to just uninstall your SpeedBit Video Accelerator.)

  • Laptop resume fails on second suspend

    I have a 32bit Archlinux, completely up-to-date, running on a Dell Latitude D620 Laptop.
    Recently I've started having a problem whereby after putting my computer into suspend, when I try to wake it, it does a full boot and fixes file system problems created by the spontaneous shutdown.
    I've found that this only happens the second I I suspend it, the first time after each boot works perfectly, and it doesn't matter if I use a command, or if I close the lid. 
    This problem only started occurring in the last few weeks, but I don't know what exactly causes it.

  • HP laptop update failed, and now it wont stop undoing changes.

    When I went on my laptop today it started updating, and after an hour when it finally got to 99% it said they the update failed, and it's now undoing changes. It's been like that for over 3 hours now. How can I try to fix this?

    You can try getting to Advance Boot Menu by 
    1. Repeatly pressing f8when the laptop boot up (Disable FASTBOOT when you are tyring to get into Advance boot menu)
    2.Shift and F8 (When the first options doesn't help at all )
    then use the Keyboard arrow keys to navigate around Advance boot menu and select Last known good boot configration or restore this PC (Please be minded that if you choose restoring it will restore to a back to the last known backup , as data will be lost ) 
    Please update here if there is still any problems

  • LMS 3.2 - CM 5.2.1 - UT Acquisition failed + Processes Down Strangely

    Hi,
    I just updated everything I could in LMS CiscoWorks 3.2.
    Software updates are all done.
    Device updates aswell.
    When I'm trying to do an UT acquisition, I recieve a strange message : Failed to start acquisition: Initial Data Collection is not done yet, please try  again later.
    I'm bored of this. I tried everything but nothing seems to work.

    there have been at least 2 bugs affecting User Tracking  ( CSCtd49439,CSCtg20882)  and the easiest thing would be to just update to LMS 3.2.1 by installing the Service Pack 1 for LMS 3.2

  • Laptop-mode: failed - udev not active?

    I get this message when I start Arch. It usually appears twice.
    Nothing is broken as far as I know, but I'm just annoyed by it. Anyone got an idea why this error might pop up?

  • [SOLVED] Installed Arch on IBM A22m laptop, startx fails

    I installed arch on this old laptop IBM A22m and I am trying to get XFCE4 or LXDE working on it.
    When i start xfce4 i get "server terminated with error(1)" and same thing with lxde but this time i get to see panel and wallpaper for 2 seconds before it crashes.
    I tried exec openbox-session and it wont crash until I open browser from terminal.

  • Tektronix tds3000- acquisition fail

    Hi All,
    I am trying to connect tds3032 oscilloscope to fetch data and measure some parameters. But, the connection is not helping at first place. It seems, installed labview in my computer is able to read the GPIB address, but it is not able to run any vi. I was only trying to run the example VIs come with the driver. Please find below the snapshot of the error I am getting. 
    N.B: I have tried with 2 GPIB as well as in two computer. The program is itself not written by me, but the example vi that is included in the driver. I am assuming, the problem is with the oscilloscope only. Please let me know your if you have encountered the same problem and your advise and suggestion on it,  ASAP, as I am working on this.

  • I have just updated my iPhone to iOS7 using a laptop and then it's restored it's self, on settings it's signed in as me on iTunes and AppStore but when I go on AppStore it asks for my partner password?!? Please help!!

    Somebody pleaseeeeeee help!!! I have just done the latest iOS 7 update beacuse I have such little space I do it through iTunes on my partner laptop, it failed halfway through and I had to start it again it completed the second time and had to restore my iPhone which I backed up before starting. Now it's all done I am trying to access my App Store and it asks for my partners password to sign... I have gone to settings and everything is signed in as me. How can I change this???

  • Hard drive failed - have music files but not library.itl file

    So here's the situation. The hard drive on my husband's laptop recently failed. It is now fixed, but his data is lost. Luckily, we had moved his music files to an external drive. It appears that we only moved the music files and not the library.itl file. We have a backup from November of the library.itl file.
    1. His ipod is fine. He wants to be able to pull the playlist info from his ipod to restore the info on the library.itl file. Is that possible?
    2. If that is not possible, what are the ramifications of restoring the library.itl file from November? Will he "lose" the music that was added since then?

    1. Not with itunes, sadly. It will try to wipe the ipod since it is a 'new 'library.
    2. Yes, he'll lose everything added since November.

  • Hard Drive Failed - iPod synced with previous iTunes Library - HELP!

    The hard drive on our Dell laptop recently failed. We had to replace it and completely reinstall the operating system, which wiped out everything, including iTunes. All of our music currently resides on our iPod (thousands of songs!). After reinstalling iTunes on the new hard drive, iTunes will not sync up because it says the iPod is already synced to another iTunes library.
    That library was deleted when we wiped out our hard drive.
    HOW can we rescue the songs on our iPod and download them to our new iTunes? It's telling us that if we sync, all music on the iPod will be erased!
    Help!

    Connect your iPod to your computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod
    Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. The transfer of content sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward.     If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
    There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
    Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync. I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay.

  • SMART Utility Says "Failing"

    My 12" powerbook Aluminum was refusing to shut down--meaning I couldn't clone it to my external. So I ran SMART Utility. It found Pending Bad Sectors: 2, Reallocated Bad Sectors: 3, Total Errors 30, and Last Error Type: Uncorrectable.
    So I ordered a new drive. Everytime I try to clone my current drive to my external it bumps up against some file it fails to copy. The first couple of times these were Adobe Files. So I removede CS2 from the computer (a lengthy process), ran Applejack, and tried again. This is the error message I get from SuperDuper: WARNING: Caught I/O exception(22): Invalid argument

    So I have a new hard drive to install, but I can't clone my old one. I'd really like to shorten this process as much as possible as I've been having weeks of computer **** (three laptops, two failing hard drives and a bad memory card spread out over all three).
    Question: How do I clone this drive? And 2) If I DO successfully clone it, am I just cloning the problems I'm trying to rectify?

    If there is an issue with the files and apps on the drive there may be concern about it. However, if the files and apps were not having issues, and it is simply a matter of the HDD itself failing, there should not be an issue with moving them over. Then later, if you find there are issues you can simply reinstall the problem apps.
    Or should I just bite the bullet and reinstall from scratch?
    That is certainly an option. However, as I noted above, you may not need to do so up front.
    Even if I reinstall from scratch, can I safely copy my user data (preferences, bookmarks, etc) for Safari and Entourage?
    Yes, you can. I suggest that you use the schedule laid out in the article A Basic Guide for Migrating to Intel-Macs. I realize that you are working with PowerPC Macs, but you need the same stuff moved. It works very well. I would be sure to test the drive to which you have copied before deleting the old stuff.

  • Need Help Fast! Laptop WoW.

    With in a cpl. weeks I am going to be moving to India.  I have decided that buying a laptop in India isn't worth the hassle it will definatly be.  I have read the other posts on laptops and WoW here and am utterly confused. Ultimately what I want is a laptop that could handle the mass AOE that happens during a 25m Ony whelp attack.  I want to keep my fps and not drop to next to nothing during a situation like that.  Also I would like something that will most likely still be suitable for the next expansion, as I will be in India and still want to use this laptop.  (I know system req. haven't been released on that, but something that will most likely still be usable they are usually not to great of a jump in requirements between expansions.) Also, I would really like something that isn't going to be defective, stop working, or have issues with 2 weeks after I buy it since I won't be in the country anymore to get it handled.  It's kind of a long specific wish list, I know.  However, I really don't understand computers very well and I need someone knowledgeable to help me.  I want to find the most cost effective product that can meet my needs.  (I think everyone wants that now a days.)   Being able to continue playing while in India is probably the only thing that will help me keep my sanity while taking care of my twins and husband over there.  Please help!!  Thank you so very very much!

    The first question to ask is what is your budget? Start looking in the $899-$1000 price range. Anything under that is going to be slow for gaming and a waste of money.
    One other point is that it is always a bad idea to buy in the US and then take it out of the country. If it fails then you will need a point of contact back in the US that you can ship the computer to for repair and then pay more shipping to ship it back to India.
    Things you want to look for:
    Intel Core 2 Duo
    2 to 4GB of Ram
    512mb to 1GB dedicated memory videocard
    250-500GB hard drive
    Personally I would avoid Acer, gateway, emachines.
    Look at Asus, Alienware or Dell XPS series for gaming and reliablity.
    I really think you are setting yourself up for trouble when buying in the US and taking it to India. Laptops just fail so quickly no days.
