  • Number of unusual challenges observed while installing BO 4.1 SP5 on windows server

    Hello All ,
We are facing a handful of unusual challenges while installing BO 4.1 SP5 on Windows Server .
While installing the license key provided during installation is not showing up in CMC . Under CMC the license key section is showing BLANK when we are opening it for the first time . So we have to add the license key again via CMC .
Even after adding the license key following issue continue to persist -
CCM tool is not opening with an error which usually appears to be a Visual C++ library error but appears to be not the case -
WebIntelligenceProcessingServer unable to start as it failed to start 5 times in 60 seconds
CMS is unable to contact ConnectionServer32 .
We performed E2E tracing and the GLF log files had lines like these - (1)assert failure: (.\oscafactory2.cpp:3220). (false : OSCASimpleFactory2::triggerStateChangeNotifications - Unexpected exception).(2)assert failure: (.\isgenadm.cpp:315). (false : CISGeneralAdmin_impl::setParamEx - caught unexpected model state exception).
the GLF file errors indicated that this could be an issue similar to SAP Note- 1961070 where it indicates that this could be a license key issue . However we performed a license key check using BI platform support tool which indicated there is nothing wrong in the license key .
We are now at a complete dead-end and unable to understand what could be the issue here we have uninstalled and reinstalled thrice but no luck. Experienced practitioners kindly help me out on this.

    Hello Henry ,
Thanks for your prompt response . Initially the server indeed had critical Visual C++ patches missing ;which we have rectified to some extent and also installed Visual C++ 2008 MFC security patch .
    Initial Patch level
    Current Patch level
I am going ahead with the suggestion provided in SAP Note 1902990 and will keep everyone posted on this. I had an impression that perhaps the 2008 MFC security patch will do the trick for me .
    Thanks !

  • Printer is connected. How to get rid of installation window upon boot-up?

I have an Officejet 4500; successfully connected to desktop (Windows Ultimate Vista OP). However, had a problem when connecting to laptop (Windows XP). When getting to configuration step, had a fatal error.  Folllowing instructions in auto-dowloaded "HP Installation Error - XP" application, subsequently, downloaded drivers, utlities, etc.  Finally was able to print off of laptop. However, everytime I boot up computer now, an installation window auto-appears with a Fatal Error message, then it runs through all the installation steps again, stalls at the configuration step, then I have to click a Finish button to  finish an "uninstall" (which it does not do, the printer is still installed).  So, to continue using the computer, I have to click the Cancel button in the middle of the "install" operation, use the computer for other things I need to do, then I can't shut down until it completes its "Uninstall" process again.  The printer is connected...HOW do I get rid of the install window that auto-appears when I boot up? (There is NO "Close" button or icon.)

directly in Windows 8.1. Remember if the software is uninstall the Bluetooth will be disabled and
Windows will not be able to see the device in the “Device Manager”

  • Messaging working in BlazeDS deployed on Windows Tomcat but failing in Tomcat deployed on Ubuntu

I have been going round and round on this for days. I have no idea how to solve it. Everything works fine in windows but now I have to move to Ubuntu. I set up a streaming server with BlazeDS which is messaging to my clients great when my war is in tomcat 7 on windows but is failing in tomcat 7 on Ubuntu.
I see my client connect to BlazeDS on Ubuntu. The DEBUG messages print out that I have a client subscribed. It says that I have one FlexSession for an id and one client subscribed to streaming-amf. Then, a few seconds later, it says that the client sent a duplicate request "streaming-amf recieved a duplicate sreaming connection request from, FlexClient with id ... Faulting request."
Next the log files print out that there are no streaming clients for the FlexSession and no streaming clients for the endpoint streaming-amf.
This is the same software that works fine in the Windows Tomcat container but is not in Ubuntu Tomcat even though the WAR is exactly the same. In case it helps, my config files and calls are below:

  • Photoshop CS3 installer window not opening.

After i clicked yes on the warning that installing makes changes to the computer, nothing installer windows appear, with windows 7 32-bit os, intel dual core 2GHz processor and a 2GB of ram.

What is on your desk top is the installer.
Now you have to run that.

  • Can't get to the installation window for Panther 10.3 upgrade

    Hello all, thanks for reading,
    Here's the deal:
I have an iMac, 500 Mhz, G3, 128 RAM that originally has Mac OS 9 built into it. Recently (a day or two ago), I wanted to format my computer because it was giving me too much trouble (a message saying that there wasn't enough memory kept appearing and askign me to quit an application to free some up), so I introduced the Mac OS 9 restoration disk and initialized my HD.
Everything went well, I was able to re-install the OS 9 and the necessary upgrades (up to 9.2.2) so that I could re-install my Panther 10.3 OS. However, when I reboot the computer with the installation disk in (so as to get to the installation window) it hangs when it reaches the white screen with the grey apple in the middle and the spinning thing on the bottom. It does not freeze up, 'cause you can see that the spiral still goes round and round, but disk activity ceases and it does not progress further than that (I have left it up to an hour in that state and nothing happens).
What can be my problem? The disk is in good conditions, and it is not the driver because I can run any other cd and it even reads the Panther disks (all of the 3)..... please help!
    Thank you.

    Psike:
    Welcome to Apple Discussions.
To install Panther your computer will need to meet the minimum system requirements for Panther. Your RAM seems to be very marginal and I recommend that you upgrade your RAM to at least 256 MB or better still max it out to 1 GB.
You will need to purchase the Full Retail version of Panther. Be aware that Computer specific or upgrade versions should be avoided since they are optimized for the computer to which they are specific and will therefore very likely cause problems during or after installation. On the legal side, it may be a violation of the Software License Agreement which statesThis License allows you to install and use one copy of the Apple Software on a single computer at a time. This License does not allow the Apple Software to exist on more than one computer at a time...If you do not have a Full Retail Version you can purchase universal installer Panther disks, guaranteed to install, from applerescue.
In terms of your specific problem. Here's what I suggest:
Insert Installer disk and Restart, holding down the "C" key.
Go to Installer menu and launch Disk Utility.
Select your HDD (manufacturer ID) in the left panel.
Select First Aid in the Main panel.
Click Repair Disk on the bottom right.
If DU reports disk does not need repairs quit DU and restart.
If DU reports errors Repair again and again until DU reports disk is repaired.
If DU reports errors it cannot repair you will need to use a utility like Tech Tool Pro or Disk Warrior
After disk has been repaired, with Disk Utility still launched and in the First Aid tab:
    Click Repair Disk Permissions button.
Quit Disk Utility and open installer.
    Select install option.
You may wish to Customize by deselecting Foreign Language Translations, unless you need it, and Additional Printer Drivers. This saves some disk space.
    Proceed with installation.
    After restart and set up:
    Restart computer
Go to Applications > Utilities > Disk Utility
    Repair Disk Permissions (as before)
Go to Apple Menu > Software Update
    Install all updates
    Repair Disk Permissions again.
Please post back with questions or comments.
    Good luck.

  • Acrobat 9.5 pro keeps opening Windows installation window when clicked on icon.

Opens normally PDF documents. And the fix is ...?

    Hi Ajlan,
OK, it's odd, Acrobat launches normally only from its folder.
Any new shortcut created either on Start or Task bar opens Windows
installation window but the one on Desktop is OK.
Unfortunately I don't use Desktop shortcuts.

  • How do I define 2 disk groups for ocr and voting disks at the oracle grid infrastructure installation window

    Hello,
It may sound too easy to someone but I need to ask it anyway.
I am in the middle of building Oracle RAC 11.2.0.3 on Linux. I have 2 storage and I created three LUNs in each of storage so 6 LUNs in total look in both of servers. If I choose NORMAL as a redundancy level, is it right to choose my 6 disks those are created for OCR_VOTE at the grid installation? Or should I choose only 3 of them and configure mirroring at latter stage?
The reason why I am asking this is that I didn't find any place to create asm disk group for ocr and voting disks at the oracle grid infrastructure installation window. In fact, I would to like to create two disk groups in which one of groups contains three disks those were brought from storage 1 and the second one contains rest three 3 disk that come from the last storage.
I believe that you will understand the manner and help me on choosing proper way.
    Thank you.

    Hi,
    You have 2 Storage H/W.
You will need to configure a Quorum ASMDisk to store a Voting Disk.
Because if you lose 1/2 or more of all of your voting disks, then nodes get evicted from the cluster, or nodes kick themselves out of the cluster.
You must have the odd number of voting disk (i.e 1,3 or 5)  one voting disk per ASM DISK, So 1 Storage will hold more voting disk than another storage.
    (e.g 3 Voting Disk - 2 voting stored in stg-A and 1 voting disk store in stg-B)
If fail the storage that hold the major number of  Voting disk the whole cluster (all nodes) goes down. Does not matter if you have a other storage online.
    It will happen:

You must configure your Clusterware same as RAC extended

  • Can't Open iTunes, installer window appears asking to restart the computer

I have windows Vista-64 bit and I downloaded iTunes 8.0.2. Now once I install the software and use it the first time, it works fine. But after first time whenever I try to open iTunes it takes to the installer window which says "please wait while iTunes configure" and then I get the message "You must restart your system for the configuration changes made to iTunes to take effect. Click Yes to restart now or No if you plan to restart later". If I restart my computer and try to iTunes again, I am again taken to this installer window and the same messages appear. Thus I cannot open Itunes. Unless I uninstall it, and then reinstall it. Then I use it only the first time after installation. But as soon as I exit, i would face the same problem again. Please help

I don't know anything about 64 bit systems and there are differences in the registry. However this problem seems to be due to a problem writing to certain registry keys due to permission issues. HKEYCLASSESROOT\.pcast seems to crop up. this post may help you:
    http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=5489263#5489263
But if you use the the event viewer to look at error messages after the problem has occurred you may find the the problem registry key.
If you are running iTunes from a limited user account, temporarily promoting the account might work.
Sometimes you can work round this issue by creating a short cut directly from iTunes.exe. Go to Program Files\iTunes and try starting iTunes.exe. If it opens OK, right click on iTunes.exe and select Send to>>Desktop(Create shortcut). Then use this to open iTunes. It does not fix the underlying problem which is that auto repair is being triggered as the install did not complete fully.

  • "printer installer" window shows up at every boot after installing printer

After installing successfully a Samsung printer, everytime I boot Mountain Lion there is a  "printer installer" window shows up.
Any way to get rid of this?
    Regards,
    Vincent

I've come across someone who had this before - they'd forgotten to take the installer disc out of the optical drive so it ran its installer at every boot. Any chance that's it?

  • Yosemite 10.10.1 Bootcamp Installation Windows 8.1 from an ISO

    Hello,
as in my topic described I am looking to install
    Yosemite 10.10.1
Bootcamp Installation Windows 8.1 from an ISO
I am using an MBP early 2011 without DVD Drive - but I have 2 SSD Drives inside (500GB und 128GB)
I want to use the 128 GB Drive for the Bootcamp installation, as I need it for some specific Sports Software which is just available for Windows, which was already running on my factory delivered 250GB HDD Drive.
The Problem is that bootcamp does not tell me there is an option for a ISO installation like it should display on macs which will be manufactured without an super drive. And so i can not install the ISO to the bootcamp drive.
I have an USB Stick with 8GB and an 8.1 ISO disk.
I do not want to reinstall my dvd super drive.
Hope you can help me out with a description on how to do - I am quite technical so can do some tasks ;-)
    Merry xmas
    Oliver

I input that into mac terminal while running os? And then you'd like me to post the results on this discussion board?
Yes. It also helps if there are any calculations to be done with disk sectors.
My optical drive works fine, but I moved to France and didn't bring any disks. Would it be easier and safer to just burn my windows iso onto a disc and run it through bootcamp that way? I'm thinking the answer is yes at this point.
Yes, if you have a built-in Optical drive, Bootcamp expects to boot from the Optical drive, because it sets the CSM-BIOS layer for Windows to boot from the Optical drive settings in the NVRAM.
I'm about to head out to celebrate a birthday, but I will post back here in about 14 hours.
    Enjoy the party!
Do you recommend just buying a DVD and doing it that way? I could easily return my info.plist to normal, and as far as I know, my optical drive works fine. Seems simpler if it would work with my copies of osx and windows. What do you recommend?
The changes in info.plist enable creation of the USB, but do not influence the boot device pointer that BCA will set when switching to the Windows Installer. My recommendation is to get DVD writable media (DVD+R or equivalent) and burn the ISO to a physical DVD and use BCA to install windows using the BCA USB and DVD media.

  • J ai un problème pour installer windows 7

bonsoir, je n arrive pas a installer windows 7 sur mon macbook air; j arrive au menu de  fuseaux horaires windows , donc la première fasse d installation; mé ni la souris ni le clavier fonctionne.

You need to use a USB2 flash drive for BCA, not a USB3 flash drive. Windows installers do not have drivers for USB3. Once Windows and Bootcamp drivers are installed then USB3 support is available.
