CCM 5.1.1 Clustering: Add a subscriber

Hi,
I'm trying to add a Subscriber in a 5.1 (b) fresh installation.
I've not add any upgrade. I've added the new server on Publisher "Add new server" and followed all installation tasks (Not first node, DNS, ecc).
Installation goes without errors but when i check on "Cisco Unified OS Administration- Cluster" i find the second server acting as Publisher.
What's wrong? Next steps? Any idea??

If the 2nd server is acting as a Publisher, that means both the servers are now a part of their own cluster and the only way around it is to rebuild the 2nd server and make it join the cluster. Also, if you want to know what went wrong, please attach the install log, using that we should be able to find out what happened during the install. To download this file, you can do a "file get install install.log" and download it to the SFTP Server. Else, use RTMT, remote broswer and download the file to your machine.

    So the source and destination queues are already multi consumer.
    So if I add another subscriber to the source queue - I dont need any code changed whilst enqueueing ?
    Just need to have the subscriber at the remote side dequeue. ?
    Also when I set it up from scratch - basically
    Add multiconsumer queue at source
    add two subscribers
    enqueue a message ......
    I didnt see any messages loaded in the AQ$ table under READY ....... although pl/sql call was successful

    Just wanted to check what effect the following actions would have on

    a) add in a parent subscriber - guessing that the cerificate of the PS
    would need resolving to the existing subscribers, and that the PS would
    need to pull the distributions from the distributor - hoping that the
    existing subscribers would see that the actual ted is the same and do
    nothing...?
    b) rename channels - hoping this attribute change isn't seen as a
    'configuration change' by the existing subscribers...?
    Has anyone real world experience of these actions?

    Indeed, the distributor will read the information about the parent
    subscriber from e-directory and will send the workorder to the parent
    including the routing info. With the routing info the Parent will need where
    to forward the distributions. If the subscribers already have the
    distributions, nothing will be send

    I never done channel re-names, but adding and/or deleting channels shouldn't
    have an affect on the distributions

  • Using CCM Directory between two clusters

    Hi all,
    In our company we have two callmanager Clusters ( Site A 4.1.3 ; Site B 6.1 )
    Before we did an Upgrade on the one site we could use the directory from the other side as well as our own, but since we did the update the users can only access their own Site directory an when they try to access the other directory the phone shows a 404.
    I looked at the enterprise parameters but did not find a fault, did cisco change the method of accessing the directory between the two version?
    Do I have to change settings in the URL or in the XML/ASP file?

  • IPhoto 9.4.2, photo stream-add subscriber?

    I cannot figure out how to create a list of subscribers to share my Photo Stream pics.
    I succeeded in adding photos and have a Photo Stream icon in the Source panel, which shows my chosen photos, but not what? How do I notify someone or add a subscriber?
    IPhoto 9.4.2, on Mac Pro with Lion.
    Sys Prefs > iCloud, checked Photo Stream
    In iPhoto prefs > turned on Photo Streaming.
    Dragged some photos from an Event into Photo Streaming icon on left.
    After a while, it finished (uploading? syncing?).
    Clicked on Photo Streaming and I see the pictures.
    Now trying to "Add a Subscriber."
    Clicked on Share in lower right corner----pop up menu shows Photo Stream among other options (order prints, Flickr, Facebook, Email)
    Clicked on Photo Stream
    Window opens saying "all the selected photos are already in your photo stream."
    I know that but how do I choose people to share them with??
    Went up to Share in iPhoto main menu and Photo Stream is greyed out.
    I read whatever I could find, in Apple Help, iPhoto, elsewhere on the web.
    Tried to find answers but either the instructions read as though I want to change subscribers, or provide step by step, where one of the steps just is not an option I see of can find.
    Anyone, please, unravel this mystery for me? Thanks

    While I do have an iPad Mini with v6.1.3, my MBP is only in Lion (and my Mac Pro in Snow Leopard). Oddly, until your post I could not find anything about Mt Lion being a requirement.
    I followed the link you provided. More help but also more confusion.
    There's this persistent presumption that key steps, detailed-specific steps, are or will be "understood." Like for example, letting someone know I have put a group of photos into Photo Stream, for their viewing. Adding subscribers keeps getting me info on modifying subscribers, not the step-by-step instructions for isolating a set of pictures, putting them into a so-called photo stream, or album, then making that available to them AND letting them know it. This morning I got as far as choosing some pics on my iPad and putting them into Photo Stream (or were they already there?) Then creating a PS or Album from a subset of those pics, giving it a name, choosing a person from my contacts....then what? I click Done. Then what is supposed to happen? Once again, this presumption of knowing or maybe it's a presumption that most people won't care to know how it is working and be done with it, after clicking done.
    As a test I did this using one friend, and also using myself (using a email address other than my Apple address.)
    I later opened my MBP, tried Mail to see if I got notified (nope) then opened iPhoto and looked to see if it was there. But I can't really tell. What I mean is, I do see pictures when I select Photo Stream, but there are more here than in the test-to-myself PS I set up and (sent?) from my iPad. Is this because the MBP is in Lion, not Mt. Lion? Or because, although I am the same person sending and receiving, I am using two differenrt email addresses (therefore am limited to PS only and not Shared PS?
    I don't know. This is just way too murky and non-intuitive. I appreciate your reply but don't want to take up any more of your time. So I suppose I'm just whining and ranting at this point. Thanks anyway.

  • Unable to Add IM&P subscriber

    I have a cluster running on a UCS C260m2 CUCM, CUC and UCCX all okay. The IM&P Publisher installed okay however when I try and add the subscriber i get unable to CUCM Publisher information from the IM and Presence Publisher.
    All checkks look fine. DNS is okay,,I cannot se anything wrong. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • Adding a second ccm subscriber

    I am running callmanager 8.5 with one publisher and one subscriber. In order to add another subscriber i need a node license?
    Is this something I have to purchase? What is the partnumber if the callmanager will be running in UCS environment?

    Depending on how you bought your licenses, with CULW licenses you are entitled to free node licenses, you can contact [email protected] to request additional ones.

  • How do I add Google calendar subscriptions to iPad iCal?

    I was able to add my Google calendar account to iCal on iPad but my calendar subscriptions (delegated) from other users is not displayed. I know there is a wizard to add a subscribed calendar but I don't know how to fill it out:
    Settings> Add Account> Other> Add Subscribed Calendar > Server "myserver.com/cal.ics". Where do I get the information to plug between the quotes?

    I'm trying to do this very thing.  I have multiple google calendars set up (one for each kid, my husband etc.).  I want to move to iCal exclusively.  Based on your note above, should I export each individual calendar within ical.  Remove each from the iCal account and then reimport then into ical?  I suppose the risk is low b/c the data still exists in google.
    Please advise - I would hate to misstep.  Very new to the apple world (aside from iphone / ipad).

  • Elimination of screens for shopping with CCM catalog

    Hello CCM seniors,
    We have installed CCM 2.0 as an add on for SRM 4.0.
    CCM and EBP are mountd on same server and same client.
    CAT and CSE also share single client.
    EBP to CCM integration is working fine.
    i.e. user can select catalog items and can make shpooing cart.
    Only when employee clicks on the catalog link(/ccm/master catalog in our case) in EBP portal ,
    on the next screen he has to click on "Locale- EN" to proceed.
    Since we are not using any language versions , we want to eliminate this screen for operational ease.
    Also, as our catalog is SRM extracted one and the there is only one category, we want to avoid the next screen also
    i.e. selection of subcategory to display the list of items.
    To summerise what we are trying to achieve is that when the employee clicks on the catalog link in EBP -> shop application ,
    he should directly get the list of items from the catalog.
    Is it possible, if yes how?

  • Adding a Subscriber

    We are currently running CallManager version 7.0.2 with one publisher and two subscribers.  Trying to add another subscriber.  The server and software has been installed, we can see it in CallManager System --> Server and System --> Cisco Unified CM.but have not yet added the new server to any Cisco Unified CM Group.  When we look at the Database Summary the replication status all nodes show a status of 2 except for the new server which shows a status of 4.
    Do we just need to add the new server to our Cisco Unified CM Group? 
    If we add the new server to our Cisco Unified CM Group and there is an issue with the new server, will it "hurt" anything? 
    Can we just delete it if there is an issue? 

    Simplest way to check the health of the cluster is to go to the CUCM webportal>CUCM reporting.
    and go to Unified CM Data Base status. it gives you the replication status of each member.
    DB replication issues are notoriously hard to fix though, you might want to consider raising the issue with TAC if you are not confident enough.

It's not that what I have to say is so important, but I would like to offer that option. Because they can't subscribe, I've removed the button for now. I have to get this puppy launched. My target is this Tuesday. I can add the subscribe button later -- if I can ever get it to work. When people try to subscribe, they are sent to my home page. I looked up the issue in Help, but I can't understand the page. I'm going to the Apple store AGAIN tomorrow -- I have one other tweak I need help with. As lovely as they are there, they were unable to help me with the RSS subscription issue last week. I publish to MobileMe, but it's forwarded to or by register.com. One of the Apple guys told me to have register.com remove the URL mask, but that didn't help. In fact, it created a different problem. The mask is back on. It may be that people can't subscribe to my blog. I can live with that. However, your observations and advice are appreciated.

    Well, the commas and spaces are not meant to be taken literally, but are meant to represent what you might find on your host's website under the DNS settings (Domain Name System).  Every host is different so the way in which you set up the CNAME forwarding will also be different, but it is just meant to be an example.
    When you log into MobileMe and enter your domain name under the Personal Domain Name settings, there is an explanation there about how to set up CNAME forwarding.
    CNAME simply stands for Canonical Name Records and is an alias.  Alias records create an association between another domain or sub domain, so when you set up a CNAME record at your host, then you are creating an association between your domain name and the name of your iWeb site which has been published to MobileMe.  Hence, why you need to enter web.me.com to create the association between the two names - your domain name and web.me.com.
    Every domain host is different so you need to go to yours and check out the DNS settings to see what you need to do to set it up.
    In the long run, this should be better than masked web forwarding.

              But when say server A fails , the Publisher still can publish messages to server
              B (failover works) , but the subscriber stops receiving the messages.
              I thought in clustered environment the subscriber would still receive messages if
              it connects to the topic using the connection factory deployed on the cluster.
              Can somebody throw an insight!!

    I assume you're on 6.0?
              Which server did you target your topic? If that server fails, then no, you will not be able to
              subscribe to anything...

  • Problem in maintaining service user for CCM srm_cse

    We are implementing SRM 4.0 (EBP 5.5) SSP scenario.
    To support shopping of EBP we are also implementing CCM 2.0 as an add on.
    Please note CCM and EBP are on same client and CAT & CSE are also on the same client.
    No XI is involved as the catalog will be only uploaded in CSV format.
    I am doing intial configurations for CAT and CSE.
    Now we know that we need to configure a service user in the service of srm_cse.
    I am adding the same in SRM client-> trans SICF -> default host -> sap -> bc -> bsp -> ccm -> srm_cse ->change service -> log on procedure- log on data reqd. -> Anonymous log on data - details of client, user, password, language.
    since my SRM and CCM are in same client I have put the same client no. and given the user with role "/CCM/CATALOG_SEARCH"
    But when I am saving this change in service I am getting an error messaeg that " Changes to Repository or cross-client Customizing are not permitted ".
    I am in a same client hence there is no question of cross client customizing .
    The other cause left is CHANGES TO REPOSITORY .
    Can anybody tell me where I should do config so that this "changes to repository" error message will be be corrected?

  • Add Hardware Inventory Classes - ClientSDK

    I'm trying to add a new Hardware Class to SCCM 2012 but keep hitting an issue.
    The actual WMI class I'm trying to add is "CCM_Application" within "root\ccm\clientSDK".
    I can add the Hardware class by connecting to a remote client (via the connect option within the Add Hardware Classes) and it shows up in the inventory classes OK.
    But on updating the client machine policy, and start a Hardware Invetory action, the inventory fails with the following message in the InventoryAgent.log file:

    If, on the client machine, I run the following command in PowerShell

    So it looks as though you cannot select instances but have to use select *
    The question I'm asking is that, is it possible to change the query used by SCCM so that select * is used instead of each instance?

    Thanks But these are two different sites. One is a photoshop file...sliced and put together in dreamweaver and hosted through Go daddy. The other is a wordpress.org site that is hosted by go daddy as well under the same account.
    I need to get the subscribe form added to the dreamweaver html page. It already exhists on the wordpress.org page.
