CCM 8.6.1- Installation Failed. Restart install to recover from failure

Hi All,
I am installing CCM 8.6.1 on an MCS7835I3 platform. The platform came with CCM 8.6.1 preloaded on the harddrive. During the installation linux detected some compenents like NIC, Raid, and USB.
then after checking some components i face below error
"The installtion has failed and must be restarted to recover from the faliure.
You may dump diagnostic information at this time to a USB storage key. Would you like to dump diagnostic information"
I am try to figure out what is causing this message.
Pls help me!!

Hi
It seems to me that your server did not begin the CUCM installation. If you already have pre-loaded CUCM media in the server hard disk then you should first check the boot sequence on the server. Make sure that the first option is the hard disk.
Once confirmed, restart the server.
If you still face the issue, then i suggest that you install CUCM from CD.
Below is the installation document. Do check the server compatibility and hardware requirements.

  • Every PATCH installation fails after installing Windows Updates

    Hello,
I want to report an issue which I think is a Windows bug introduced by one of the Windows updates (unfortunately I wasn't able to find out which one of them).
    Here is the test case:
    1. install a fresh copy of Windows on a test machine
    2. install all available Windows Updates (so the system is up to date)
    3. create a sample MSI installer which only installs some dummy files (let's say Product Version 1.0.0) and host it on a web server
    4. install the MSI from the online location using a command line like this:
    msiexec /i http://server/share/package.msi
    5. create a .MSP patch (e.g. v1.0.1) which only adds a new file to v1.0.0
    6. install the v1.0.1 patch
RESULT: the patch installation fails with the following error message: "The filename , directory name , or volume label syntax is incorrect"
    NOTES:
    1. the issue was replicated on Windows 7 and 8 machines UP TO DATE
    2. the issue is not replicated on a fresh installation of Windows without Updates applied
Is there anyone aware of what could cause this error? Once again the patch installation fails only on Windows machines with the latest Updates installed.
    Thx,
    Daniel

    Hi,
See if deleting the account SystemMailbox{bb558c35-97f1-4cb9-8ff7-d53741dc928c} in ADUC (you should find it in the Users Container) and then rerun
setup.exe /preparead helps you solve your problem.

  • Finder quit unexpectedly, can't do anything backed up files, wiped drive, went to reinstall os and its getting 35% and saying installation failed restart and try again...what do I do?

Turned on my computer one night its says finder quit unexpectedly so I ask around and general consensus is to fix it back up files and do a system restore which is no problem right? Wrong...I went in and tried just installing the os onto the HD, when that didn't work I went through the disk utility and tried cleaningand repairing the HD and retrying installation. When that failed I double checked backup then while booted from the disk I word the HDand attempted installation once more. Once again to no avail, so here I'm my files on an external my HD is empty and my OS won't install. Any assistance is very much appreciated.

  • Grub from arch installer fails to install

Using the pre-release core (i686) iso 2011.03.23 because the standard iso doesn't have the drivers to support my wireless device (though neither seems to have a driver for the wired interface, interestingly)
When at the 'Install Bootloader' step, it attempts to build the GRUB device map, then the arch installer quits, printing this at the bottom along with a console prompt:
    ERROR: device_is_raid needs a blockdevice as $1 ( given)
Attempted to then run 'grub-install' from said console as follows:
    [root@archiso ~]# grub-install /dev/sda --root-directory=/mnt
Probing devices to guess BIOS drives. This may take a long time.
The file /mnt/boot/grub/stage1 not read correctly/
    [root@archiso ~]#
I found I had to pass the root-directory argument, as otherwise it couldn't find the stage1 file.
This hard disk is not using raid in any way, and for reference has a partition layout as follows
    /dev/sda1    ntfs as PQSERVICE
    /dev/sda2    ntfs as SYSTEM RESERVED
    /dev/sda3    ntfs as Acer
    /dev/sda4    extended partition containing:
    /dev/sda5    ext3 as /
    /dev/sda6    swap
The first three were already present on the disk with Windows 7, which incidentally continues to boot without issue. The only modification made was to shrink the Acer (aka C:\) partiton with GParted to make room for Arch.
Would rather use GRUB than other bootloaders unless unavoidable.
    Thanks for any help offered.

Gremnon wrote:Out of habit, I always use the Beginners Guide, and always use GParted to prepare the partitions in advance. Bad blood between me and Parted Magic writes it out of the book entirely.
Will try again with a boot partition included, but I don't see why it would make any difference.
Any particular reason for ext3 over ext2 for /boot?
I don't see why it would make a difference either, but my install failed until I did it. Ext3 is more robust than Ext2, so if your system crashes there's a better chance of it not being hosed. I don't think it's a big deal either way, but I feel safer with Ext3.

  • Adobe Installer fails to install CS4 11.0.2 update

    Hi,
I have a problem with updating photoshop CS4 to 11.0.2 under Windows 7.  The installer seems to do the installation but the version number on the splash screen stays at 11.0.1 AND the Adobe updater keeps telling me that I need to install 11.0.2.
I have tried downloading the update directly and installing it with no success.  I have tried to run the updater exe as administrator and all I get is a report that the upgrade has already been installed, but the version number reported by photoshop is still 11.0.1.
Also - I have tried running the update from within photoshop with administrator rights and it still does not work.  There is no instance of bridge running in background (I have checked the processes list).
I have searched the threads here but there does not seem to be an answer.
    Any suggestions anyone?

Okay, so my next question is:  Do you have write access to the Photoshop installation folder tree(s)?
Even though you may be an administrator on your computer, Windows 7 does not normally grant you administrative privileges.  Through the feature called UAC (User Access Control) your privileges can be temporarily elevated.  It is possible that this process was not invoked properly during the initial Photoshop installation, and thus the installation area and/or registry protections have not been updated so that the latest Photoshop installer can change things successfully.
You can try temporarily lowering the UAC level and see if the updater can complete its task.
    1.  Click Start, and type UAC into the search box.
    2.  When Change user account control settings comes up, click it.
    3.  Make note of the current setting, then lower the setting to "Never notify". At the "Never notify" setting you are granted administrator privileges full time.
    4.  This normally requires a reboot.  Do so.
    5.  Try the Photoshop 11.0.2 update again.
    6.  Return UAC settings to default (recommended).

  • Receiving the error Installation Failed when installing After Effects

I tried several times to download AE both through a trial of Creative Cloud and the "Download Now" button under the product.  One time the download got to 99% and then abruptly quit.  I'm on a Mac using OS 10.6. I have used PS, Illustrator and Indesign rather heavily for several years but have never tried AE.  I wanted to try it and also the Creative Cloud at the same time.
It doesn't look very promising to me. Hope you get yours working.

I have branched this out to a new discussion.  I would recommend you start with downloading and attempting the installation of the trial of After Effects.  You can locate the trial at http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=after_effects.  If you are able to successfully install the software then please choose the option to License this Software after it is installed as a trial.  You will then want to enter your Adobe ID tied to your Creative Cloud subscription.
If you continue to experience difficulties then you will want to utilize the Adobe Support Advisor - http://www.adobe.com/support/loganalyzer/ to automatically review your installation logs.  Alternatly, or if you do not receive an actionable result, you may want to review the installation logs manually to determine the source of your difficulties.  You can locate steps on how to accomplish this at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

I had the same problem with 8i on RedHat 6.0.
: What did I miss/not do correct - how can I solve this problem
The solution I found was a bit of a hack -- I hope someone else
    can offer a better answer.
The dbassist (and probably others) shell script plays around
with the CLASSPATH environment variable and the problem is that
it sets it to the lib directory (/usr/local/jdk/lib on my box at
home) rather than the zip file (/usr/local/jdk/lib/classes.zip).
I ended up editing the shell script to force it to use the zip
file which is not terribly elegant but it does work.

  • Installer fails to install .pkg files

Just purchased Adobe Lightroom, and the .pkg file will not install. I get a console log message like so: "2007-08-09 16:20:58.530 Installer[416] Unable to load nib file: PagedInstaller, exiting"
I tried a safe boot, llogging in as root, but this did no good...
It installs just fine on my laptop, so it's not the disk...
Any ideas short of a OSX reinstall?

Hello and Welcome to Apple Discussions!
This is a shot in the dark but it can't hurt anything. Locate this file:
    com.apple.installer.plist It's here: /Home/Library/Preferences
Open the Preferences folder, locate that file and drag it to the Trash. Reboot.
    Try the Adobe LIghtroom installer.
Also, if you haven't already tried it, run Disk Utility and Repair Disk Permissions. That can fix a myriad of weird problems.
