CCM v5.0 with ip phones running SCCP and SIP

Planning to migrate to CCM v5.0. Just would like to confirm CCM v5.0 can support to run SCCP and SIP phones simultaneously without any major issues. Does anyone has any experenice to setup this environment? Currently we are running 7960G and 7912G. Thanks.

Yes, it works. 100% guaranteed!
Linksys, Sipura, Grandstream IP phones work pretty fine with Cisco CCM 5

    It's important that you have a steady WiFi connection, ZealousEdge. What phone do you have? Is your phone unable to connect to any WiFi network? If you can, please try deleting the saved WiFi network and re-adding it.

  • HT1430 The screen on my Itouch is erratic with white lines running up and down.  I tried restoring it and holding down on/off button and menu button for 10 seconds about 5 times.  Any ideas on if this can be fixed or am I out of an I touch.  Thank you.

    I need help with my Itouch Screen.  It's running erratic with white line running up and down.  Tried restoring and resetting but nothing works.  Any ideas?  I don't know how this happened.  Might have rubbed a smudge off screen while it was on.  Would this have broken it?  Can it be fixed?  Thanks, Arlene

  • Mixed SCCP and SIP environment on UC560

    Hi,
    Is it possible to have a mixed SCCP and SIP enviroment on a UC560?
    We would like to keep the current 7XXX series phones on SCCP and add a SIP conference station and door phone.
    Thanks,
    Neil

    Hi Neil
    Yes, this should work. As the UC560 runs CUCME, this should be fine.

  • In CCM, Associate User with All Phones

    This is 1 of 2 threads I am starting.
    1. (this thread) asks for guidance in associating a User with all IP Phones in order for them to obtain authentication before allowing XML to be pushed to them.
    2. (in a separate thread) asks for guidance in issuing the push to the IP Phone, regarding getting the base64 User:Password inserted into the HTTP pkt.
    Thread 1:
    I want to push a CiscoIPPhoneExecute to IP Phones. I am having trouble authenticating. I know that in order to authenticate (UserID,Password) I must add a User (with User ID and Password) to CCM and associate it with all IP Phones. My CCM ver is System version: 5.1.1.2000-2.

    How do you want to do that? Manually or do you want to write a software that does it automatically?
    To do it automatically you need AXL. First you need to look up which devices your application user is already associated with.. you run the following query (taken directly from productive java code):
    private String getDeviceAssociationSqlString(String ctiUser)
    StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
    sb.append("SELECT dev.name FROM device dev INNER JOIN applicationuserdevicemap adm ON adm.fkdevice = dev.pkid AND tkuserassociation = 1 ");
    sb.append("INNER JOIN applicationuser a ON a.pkid = adm.fkapplicationuser AND a.name='" + ctiUser + "'");
    return sb.toString();
    You do an executeSqlQuery with that query and parse the results (the response will look something like
    SEP123SEP124/row>..
    Then you look up all devices, e.g. by sending a query like
    SELECT name FROM device WHERE name LIKE 'SEP%'
    (the where clause is to only include IP phones..the device table also contains gateways, analog ports, etc. and we don't want that.. not that this query includes third party sip phones which doesn't make too much sense.. but it won't cause any problems either.. I know because we run that code on a system with third party sip phones).
    Then you do a delta between the two lists and if the second query yielded more results than the first, you need to associate the application user with that phone. There's no direct way in AXL (there used to be in CCM4 but no longer in CCM5+ because we now use application users.. you could theoretically use end users where you can still use updateUser, however it's not a good idea to mix application and regular users).
    So.. you need to update the SQL database directly.. and run executeSqlUpdate via axl. The query to add phone deviceName to application user ctiUser is:
    private String getAddDeviceAssociationSqlString(String deviceName)
    StringBuilder sb = new StringBuilder();
    sb.append("INSERT INTO applicationuserdevicemap (fkapplicationuser, fkdevice, tkuserassociation) VALUES((SELECT pkid from applicationuser WHERE name = '");
    sb.append(config.ctiUser);
    sb.append("'), (SELECT pkid FROM device WHERE name = '");
    sb.append(deviceName);
    sb.append("'), 1)");
    return sb.toString();
    This also works on CCM6, and most likely on CCM7 (I haven't had any projects with 7 yet but at first glance I haven't spotted any major changes like in between CCM5 and CCM6 (the extension mobility stuff has completely changed between those releases).
    And if you do it manually.. just go to your application user, and have have the device association right there.. press the select more phones button, search for all phones whose name starts with sep, check them all, and submit.

  • I have a C6380, The printer works with my laptop running Vista and MacBook but not Windows 7. Why??

    I have had my C6380 for quite a while, now.  I have a personal laptop running Vista and have no problems.  I have a MacBook for work that I use with the printer with no problems.  I also have a desktop that was working well for a long time with this printer and for the last number of months (I haven't counted), I have been having a lot of problems.
    Either the computer cannot find the driver or the computer delivers a message that the printer is off line (even though it works with the other computers).  I use the C6380 via a home wireless network.
    Reinstalling the HP Software helps for a short time, but the problem soon recurs.
    I cannot seem to find anything in any of the Trouble shooting guides on HP or MS websites.  HELP!

    If it works on one Firefox 3.6.10 installation, it should work on the other - assuming both PC's have exactly the same version of Norton installed, including that Firefox Toolbar extension. Another possibility is that Norton uses a different version of their software on WinXP than they use on Vista.
    Tools > Addons > Extensions - does the Norton Toolbar show as being incompatible?
    You could try forcing a Norton program update to see if their Firefox extension gets updated.

  • Has anyone else had any problems with their phone over heating and shutting down?

    I've had my phone for less a month and I've already had issues with my iphone 4. On several occassions it has overheated and shut down. On one occasion I put the phone in the side pocket of my purse where, I also had a charger for my camera. When I removed the phone, it was hot...not warm but hot! On another occasion I was at the movies and put the phone face down on my lap, at one point i touched the phone and again it was hot. When the movie was over, and I looked at the phone it had shut down....this has happened a few  times more since then. I've also had problems with the phone shutting down on it's own. I took it to my local apple store and the representative looked at my phone and ran a diagnostic check for me. He said the everything on my phone looked normal and that my phone probably needs a "breaking in" period...to give it a couple of months...He really didn't tell me much more...I don't use my phone for more than the basics...calling, texting, and some mild app use...I don't understand how I can be having these problems when I've had my phone for less than a month...The rep tried selling my the Apple insurance. He told me that through ATT I only have 30 days, and I would be better off getting this insurance. I feel very dissastisfied with the service I got. I was done with my appointment within 10 mins, I don't think the representative took the time to listen to my concerns.

    Thanks for your reply, but I guess whether this was a silly question is a matter of opinion. That is the whole purpose having these forums...so that people can post their questions, silly or not. Maybe you are an Apple expert or have "techy" knowledge, but I don't. So what may be silly or stupid for you, can be completely different for a novice apple consumer like me. If you must know, I did do my research, and I did do the basic trouble shooting.All to no avail. I took my phone to the apple store, had it diagnosed and was told some very inaccurate information. I ended up going back today, and got a second opinion. This person actually took the time to talk to me and to better explain Applecare and my warranty. She also told me that there is no such thing as a "break in" period, and when there is a shutting down issue, even after a "restore" that it was better to get it replaced. Which is what she did. She replaced my phone. Obviously, the first person, by his own admission, was too tired and ready to go home to actually take the time to explain and offer other options...

  • I just moved from a G5 PowerMac to a Mac Pro with one drive running Yosemite and one running Snow Leopard, Do I need Lion to be able to upgrade iPhotos

    How can I see my iPhotos from a G5 PowerMac on a MacPro running Yosemite and Snow Leopard? Is Lion a more advance system that Snow Leopard?

    The last iPhoto version you can run with Snow Leopard is iPhoto 9.2.4, and Yosemite needs iPhoto 9.6.
    Move your photos to your Yosemite partition, if you want to use iPhoto with Photo Streams and other iCloud features.
    As you are asking about Lion, you can run iPhoto iPhoto 9.2.3 or iPhoto 9.2.4 both with Lion and SnowLeopard, but there is no iPhoto version, that runs both on Yosemite and Snow Leopard, or Lion and Yosemite.

  • After updating my iPhone 4s to iOS 6.1, my phone runs hot and battery life is down to only a few hours. Any idea how to fix?

    I installed iOS 6.1 to my iPhone 4s and the next day, the battery drained in about 6 hours, where it used to last all day or longer.  I also noticed today that it is running very hot.  I disabled location services to see if that would help but it doesn't seem to be making a huge difference.  Any ideas how to fix this? Thanks!!

    I have the same problem since updating to 6.1.1. The battery has never been great but since the update it is ridiculous. It drains by 40% in an hour with no use at all and all background programmes closed.
    Please fix this!

  • Is it possible to use SCCP and SIP at the same time?

    Our CCM is using v9.1 and all of our phones are SCCP. We are looking at a conference room phone that runs SIP. Would it be possible to use this in our current setup?

    Hi @bobdchambers,
    That's totally fine. They both co-exist in the same environment but make sure to not configure the same extension in different models because if you dial an extension that is configured in a SCCP phone and a SIP phone, just the SCCP phone rings.

  • Running H323 and SIP on the same cisco gateway

    Hi there!
    I running Yate and Asterisk/IAX2 in the same box, to get H323 and convert to SIP, but I have a costumer that wants to send H323 with codec g723, but it doesn?t work good at all. So, can have H323 and SIP running on the same box like a c3600 or c2600?
    Thanks,
    Jonas

    I may go out of topic, but:
    1. If you want reliable protocol (H323<-> SIP) and codec conversation and
    2. If you wanto to show your cusotomer nice PBX features,
    then go fo either MERA MVTS or Alterteks PSS softswitches.

  • Mac Mini late 2012 with fusion drive running slow and has error code 4dd/11/4000000: sata (1,0) after running diagnostic

    Hi,
    I have a mac mini late 2012 i7 with 16 GB RAM, fusin drive 1.12TB. It became very lagging recently and after doing the first verify disk, I was prompted to reclone using time machine. Anyway I did a full restoration with my image and the problem still persist. And I did a verify disk again and this time it indicates the disk was ok and I even did a permission repair. Problem still persist and I did the PRAM reset and nothing helps.
    I did a fresh mavericks installation. Initially it seems ok but after transfering more data into the system, the lagging seems to comes back. My suspicion was a hard disk failure on the 1tb hard drive.
    Finally I did a diagnostic abd the test has this error code 4dd/11/4000000: sata (1,0) .
    Does this means one of my drive is giving problem? As fusion drives comes with 2 drive I believe. One is 128GB SSD and the other is 1 TB drive.
    My warranty has expired.
    Thanks in advance for any help or advise

    Hi IIIaass,
    Thanks for the reply. I have search on youtube regards to the apple fusion drive. However, I didn't find anything useful. I would like to know if it consists of 2 hard drives or just 1 drive. And if it consists of 2 hard drives, can I buy another ssd and merge the 2 together.
    I do not have the tools right now to open up the mac mini. I have ordered it online and its on the way. If you have any information on this, please share with me.
    Thanks
