• Error in reading XML message and inserting data into another DB using DB link

Hi Experts,
I am getting error parsed XML message data while inserting into another DB table using DB link.
ORA-22804: remote operations not permitted on object tables or user-defined type columns.
Please help me.
Thanks.

ORA-22804: remote operations not permitted on object tables or user-defined type columns.
Looking at the error message assuming you might be doing the alter table statement on remote table unit_labels which is throwing the ORA-22804 error which is not permitted on remote tables.

• CCMS Alert for Stuck Queue

Hi
I want to setup alert for any ABAP Dump or any Failed XML Message.
Requirement is that it should come to me as an email like:
System:SID
Client:xxx
Text:a brief description of the Dump or XML message
I have setup CCMS and GRMG but I am receiving mails regarding GRMG Heartbeats only and not related to other CCMS alerts.
I have seen the weblogs available in the SDN.
Thanks in advance

Hello Sundara
You can setup CCMS for J2EE in the following ways
1. Setup system monitoring in DSWP as you do for ABAP systems
2. Installing and Registering sapccmsr agents
3. Availability Monitoing by GRMG Lite and GRMG
4. Setting up Central Autoreaction
5. E2E analysis (Solution Manager Diagonostic)
Four options are excellently elaborated in the following link
Setting Up your Central Monitoring [original link is broken]
and E2E

If you face any problem in any of these, revert back

• Outbound status to delete XML messages in PI

Hi,
we are using a deletion process in PI wiith the pg RSXMB_DELETE_MESSAGES but the XML messages with a outbound status = 1 cannot be deleted. It seems that the pg SXMS_REFRESH_ADAPTER_STATUS permits to change the status to 6 but does not work for me.
So, I need guidance. For information, we condigured the deletion period (10 days).
Thank you

Hi Pascal,
You should try to manually confirm the messages (in SXMB_MONI - Cancel Processing of messages with Error CTRL F8) and then run all the deletion jobs again.
Please see Note 872388 and 820149 for details. Following is the relevant portion from 872388:
"Check if there are asynchronous messages in error status.
Asynchronous messages in error status are neither deleted nor archived.
This behaviour is different to erroneous synchronous messages which get
deleted after their retention period (see step 5) has expired).
Asynchronous erronous messages, however, must be cancelled and then be
archived. You can either use transaction SXMB_MONI, search for erronous
messages and manually cancel them. Or you can use the report provided by
SAP: RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES. Should you decide (for non-productive
systems only) that you would like to delete these manually cancelled
messages, please use note 820149."

First Problem - I dont know where see the ABAP code STFC_CONNECTION, How do you know?

Hi, Ashish thanks for anwser my doubt.
So, the step 10 is "10. Refer to the following ABAP code snippet for executing the STFC_CONNECTION programmatically

• Alert monitor for messages in error status

Hi, it is possible to configure de Xi Alert Monitor to show in the message body the error that shows the message monitoring?
In the SOAP header when there is an error y can see a tag "error" and it shows this info (for example):
- <SAP:Error xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
<SAP:Category>XIServer</SAP:Category>
<SAP:Code area="MAPPING">STARTUP_EXCEPTION</SAP:Code>
<SAP:P1>com.sap.aii.utilxi.prop.api.PropertiesException</SAP:P1>
<SAP:P2>Unable to read configuration data (ExchangeProfil~</SAP:P2>
<SAP:P3 />
<SAP:P4 />
<SAP:AdditionalText />
<SAP:ApplicationFaultMessage namespace="" />
<SAP:Stack>Error occurred while starting the Java application "IntegrationServices"; restart the application</SAP:Stack>
<SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
</SAP:Error>
It is a way to show any of this information in the message body that sends the Alert monitor?
Regards.
Mariano.

Hi,
you will not be able to get the entire msg payload of SXMB_MONI in alert.
But you can create a alert category and in its Long text you can have variables for Error Category and Error Text. So you will get alert mails with Error category and Error Text.

• CCMS Alert Monitor (edit monitor-configuration.xml. ?)

Hi Friends
I'm trying to change the default polling time for the CCMS Alert Monitor, 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes.
In http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/en/e5/5d1741b393f26fe10000000a1550b0/content.htm you can read:
Accuracy
The default polling period for the monitor is 30 minutes. If you want to have shorter polling periods, you can change them in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator as follows:
1. Choose Availability and Performance Management ® Resource Monitoring ® Java System Reports (alias: /nwa/java-sys-reports).
2. Select an arbitrary Number of errors entry in the monitoring tree of the Adapter Engine (leaf node).
3. Choose Configuration in the right-hand pane.
4. Choose Edit in the dialog box that appears.
5. Change the polling period to 5 minutes, for instance.
6. Choose Save and wait until saving is finished (be patient, since this may take a while).
7. Choose Configuration Management ® Infrastructure Management ® Java Configuration Browser.
8. Choose apps ® sap.com ® com.sap.aii.af.app ® Monitoring Configurator ® monitor-configuration.xml.
9. In the xml file, change the polled-by-template period to the same value as above, for example, 5 minutes.
10. Save the modified xml file.
11. Choose Operations Management ® Infrastructure Management ® Start & Stop ® Java EE Services to restart the Monitoring service to apply the changes.
But in step 9, the xml file I've found in my PI 7.1 (SP6) is this:
<monitor-configuration>
<monitor-semantics />
<monitor-tree />
</monitor-configuration>
Also, there is no way to modify that file, you can only display it or download it.
can anyone tell me how to edit the file.
regards
raja

Hi Raja,
This is the same as doing the following:
You can locate the monitor-configuration.xml file in the SDA com.sap.aii.af.app.sda (inside META-INF folder). You can find this SDA in the install directory of PI installation. In this XML file please locate and edit the following tag:
<template-info template-name="SAP_XIJ2EE_RCRDS">
<polled-by-template period="30" unit="MINUTE">
<generating-resource
name="com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.mx.standard.XIJ2EEComponentMBean" type="APPLICATION"/>
<template-attribute-mapping>
<invoked-resource-method name="getMonitoringRecords"/>
</template-attribute-mapping>
</polled-by-template>
</template-info>
Change the above to the following *************
<template-info template-name="SAP_XIJ2EE_RCRDS">
<polled-by-template period="5" unit="MINUTE">
<generating-resource
name="com.sap.aii.utilxi.rtcheck.mx.standard.XIJ2EEComponentMBean" type="APPLICATION"/>
<template-attribute-mapping>
<invoked-resource-method name="getMonitoringRecords"/>
</template-attribute-mapping>
</polled-by-template>
</template-info>
The main change is the polled-by-template value from 30 mins to 5 mins as per your req ******
Construct back the SDA (you can search SDN for that) with this edited XML and then redeploy this SDA with the help of JSPM tool.
This will re-start the PI Server for the changes to come into effect.
I hope this helps.
PS: You can consult your BASIS consultant to locate this sda and re-deploy it on PI Server.
Regards, Gaurav.

• How to configure CCMS alert to monitor Authorization failures?

Dear All,
How to configure CCMS alert to monitor Authorization failures?
Thanks
Ashok

Hello,
in case you have not yet set up your monitoring infrastructure, the following link will provide you with the information needed:
http://service.sap.com/monitoring
If everything is set up (Agents are installed and connected to your central monitoring system, ...) you can go to transaction RZ21, select Technical Infrastructure - Configure Central System - Assign Central Autoreactions to set up your alerts.
For the Update errors use the MTE CLass AbapErrorInUpdate. For the Lock please use the search Option.
Regards
Christian

• CCMS alert stays in ACTION_REQUIRED status auto reaction is not triggered

Hello,
We have configured central monitoring infrastructure via Soluton Manager. So we could assign auto reaction methods in RZ21(CEN) to get e-mail notification if an alert occured in satellite systems.
Most of the assigned MTEs trigger mail notification but our problem is that certain MTEs don't trigger the assigned auto reaction and they are stucked in ACTION_REQUIRED status.
All of the application servers have running and connected CCMS agent.
I have read all of the similar forum threads but I couldn't find any relevant answer:
Notes what I have read but didn't help:
note 543414
note 546981
note 176492
I think the basic configuration should be correct as most of the MTEs can trigger and send out e-mail notification from satelite systems.
Thanks in advance,
Peter
Edited by: Peter Kalmar on Mar 12, 2010 4:21 PM

Hi Peter,
by any chance were your auto reactions based on alerts that were related to GRMG type availability checks. I've been setting up some monitors with auto reactions and have found that the alerts based on the systems that have the SAPCCM4X,SAPCCMSR type agents supplying the RZ20 data for the systems seem to work ok. The alerts when triggered get the emails sent out via SAPCONNECT and out to the internet mail recipient that was defined in the central system auto reaction method.
However, I'm having a problem getting the GRMG based alerts to go out, they stick in the alert monitor with status "ACTION_REQUIRED" and only send the emails after the manual task of initiating the auto-reaction method in the alert monitor is performed. They use the same auto-reaction method as the others which are working ok, so I'm still trying to figure out why these GRMG based alerts are failing to run the auto reaction method unattended.
Regards,
Brian.

• CCMS - Alert for Email-Errors in the SOST

Hello everybody,
is there a way to set an Alert in the CCMS for checking Email sent with errors from the transaction SOST?
We´ve also connected an externe Fax Programm: this service is build over a RFC and functions successfully. We´d like to check all faxes with errors in the CCMS Monitoring, too.
In our SCOT the Node for the SAPConnect was already activated:
- Utilities - Alert Monitoring - Start Data Collection Method:
Data collection method for SAPconnect ran with no errors.
Now i can see it:
- Utilities - Alert Monitoring - Display - SAPConnect.
Into my custom Monitor i´ve put a MTE SAPconnect node, with name:
- ACTIVE
RFC system error: Function SMON_COMP_STATE_RETRIEVE is not available
What does this error mean? How can i easy configure the monitoring of the SOST?
Do i have to create a custom or is there any method which i can use as analyse method for the checks of the sapconnect?
PS: the same error appears also if as test i send one fax to a false address: this isn´t the error that i expected to receive.
Please on reply.
Thanks as alwalys.
Alberto

Hi Gagan,
thanks for the reply, i had already seen this link in internet but i´d like to know if there´s a way which use only the standard methods in the CCMS, without changes in any programs.
Not implemented Steps: B, E (autoreaction method not needed for this alert at the moment), F.
I have also created a analyse method with name SOST and assigned to the node.
But after starting the Data collection method for SAPconnect i see in CCMS the alert error:
RFC system error: Function SMON_COMP_STATE_RETRIEVE is not available
I didn´t send any fax or email yet, i´m still by the the configuration...
Where does this error come from?
Thanks.

• SAP PI Message Cancellation Alert - Message does not have restartable error status

Hello SCNers
Version: 7.1
Scenario: File --> PI -->SOAP
We have a situation where a PI message in Integration Engine shows error status.We want to cancel the message in IE but are unable to do so.
On clicking Cancel for this message in SXMB_MONI, we are receiving an alert "Message does not have restartable error status".
In SXMSPMAST table, value for ITFACTION is DEL.
We do not want to run report RSXMB_DEL_TO_ARCH, that would change status of all messages with DEL status to ARCH.
Is there a way to Cancel or Change the Status of this single message?
Regards
Sudheer

Hi Hareesh,
Tried that too, but to no avail.
Strangely, the log shows NO_ERROR_STATE for the cancelation of this message thru RSXMB_CANCEL_MESSAGES.
But in SXMSPMAST table the status of this message is 14 (System Error - Manual Restart Possible).
Regards
Sudheer

• XI Alert Categories in CCMS alert monitor

We defined an alert category through ALRTCATDEF and we generate alerts using SALRT_CREATE_LOCAL in the Graphical and Java mapping. We would like these alerts to be visible in CCMS alert monitor in addition to XI alert inbox. We have done config specified in the SAP documentation to get the RWB alerts in CCMS alert monitor, but only the alert categories for which alert rules are defined in RWB are visible, at the moment. IS this because we don’t have an alert rule for the alert categories called by SALRT_CREATE_LOCAL,we are not able to see them in CCMS? Is there a way to get around this problem and get these alerts also in the CCMS ?
