CCMS ALERT QUESTION

Hi,
I am using XI 3.0, and trying to setup CCMS alert setup...
I have 2 quesitnos: first
I done XML alerts using ALRTCATDEF and create alert XDV_XML category, then RWB define add roles in there, all XML messages comes in mail which is good!!!
but when I goto  RZ20 and find SAP CCMS Monitor Template and double click under "Exchange Infrastructure"  its shows there but empty or disable or white color can't see anyting under that .... WHY?
2nd question; I am tyring to create CCMS alert goto RZ21 click mothod -> display overview -> select mothod CCMS_Online_Email -> copy this mothod to my name like CCMS_TRAVIS
In Execution tab -> type of call alerady select funcation module and call selected: SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT
In Control Tab -> Periodically in dialog process (shot running program) selected
In Parameter Tab -> SENDER: my user name, RECIPIENT: my eamil address, RECIPIENT TYPE: U
In Release Tab -> selected 'auto reaction mothod'
what i do next, what kind of alerts will show there? and how? and when? and if i want show thease alert for more user how do i setup?, and why only CCMS_OnAlert_Eamil only ?,
Please can you give me answer in your words, I have lot of URL but not help full

  • CCMS ALERT--- /SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS

    Dear Experts,
How to resolve the CCMS alert for the /SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS which says as 'Not configured'.
    Regards,
    KK

    Hello KK,
    1.. Please pay attention:
"The /SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS program must not run during the upgrade or
during the download/upload procedure (see Note 632357). Otherwise, you
may experience a loss of data." - SAP note 1064405.
If you are running upgrade or migration =>
you could see "CCMS ALERT--- /SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS".
Check/fix it only after the upgrade/migration was finished.
    2. If you are NOT running the upgrade/migration =>
check the LCA connection settings in LC10-> Integration
In Administration report Tab In the "Postprocessing" field of the "Initialize liveCache"
subarea of the "Configuration of application-specific functions" area, enter the report name
        "/SAPAPO/DELETE_LC_ANCHORS" in change mode, save.
Do NOT initialize the liveCache in LC10 after that, if it's not recommended by SAP support and it's not a brand new installation.
Please review the SAP note 640107.
    3. I recommend you to use the /n/sapapo/om13 -> check, review the red lights, click on 'i' info box & see the hints how to fix it.
If you still have questions/problems to fix the red lights in /n/sapapo/om13 -> check
=> create the SAP message to the BC-DB-LCA component & get SAP support.
Thank you and best regards. Natalia Khlopina

  • How many SAP CCMS Alerts can be conf?

    Hi All,
1.How many SAP standard CCMS alerts are available?
2 If CCMS is already configure how to identify what are the alerts configured?
3.How to migrate CCMS alerts form one SolMan to other Solman system?
Please help me for this info.
    Regards,
    Neni

    Hi,
I am not clear on your query,You mean to say maxium number of alerts in each node of ccms?
if yes, this can be done using each nodes,properties->general tab there you can maintain the maximum number of alerts. This restrict the maximum number of alerts generated for this node.
and for your 3rd question you can transport your monitor sets from one system to another system, please check

    how many step are req.
This means that system alerts which occur in the local CCMS, are passed to the SAP Solution Manager via RFC connections between the SAP Solution Manager and the satellites. The system shows these alerts in a graphic or in Sessions.
I would like to handle the alerts, without having to go to the local CCMS of the satellite systems.
I will really appriciated for step by step procedure...

  • How to send CCMS alerts to HP Open View

    Hi Everyone,
My ops center has asked that we send our configured CCMS alerts to Open View.  I have no idea how to do this.  Does/can CCMS generate a log file of the alerts which can be picked up by Open View?  Or, must we do this via an SNMP trap [or am I asking a redudant question!].
Any help on how to go about this would be most appreciated.  The pressure is on!
    Thanks
    Jennifer

    Hi Jennifer,,
In oder to send a SAP alert message from SAP CCMS to HP OpenView console you need to install the product from HP called SAP SPI agent on the SAP server where your CCMS is configured. SPI agent is just a list of tranport requested that you need to import into your SAP CCMS, you also need to create a special userid and assign a special SAP roles to this user (these SAP roles delivery by the SPI agent transport request). If you don't own a license for the SAP SPI agent from HP you then just have to used the SAP SNPM trap technology. Check out this HP URL Link for the SAP SPI agent http://h71028.www7.hp.com/ERC/downloads/4AA0-0281ENW.pdf

  • Difference bwtween normal Alerts & CCMS Alerts

    hi Team,
I have a small question what is the Difference between normal Alerts & CCMS Alerts....

As correctly said by Satish, CCMS is used for Overall Monitoring of XI Java and Abap Server Components while Alerts are defined for Development team to monitor and correct the problems.

  • Reg: CCMS alerts

HI all ,,Need some material regarding ccms alerts ?Thankx in advance .......

    Hi community,
I reply in this (closed) post because I have a general question about CCMS
On Windows installations I can see from SAP MMC at operating system level the alerts from rz20 graphically and all in a single global view.
Is there something similar for Unix/Linux installation too? Can I have the same view on Unix installation?
From rz20 transaction I can't see the alerts unless i select manually every monitor set, but I wonder if there is a way to have a global view of alerts as I can have with SAP MMC
I hope to have expressed myself clearly

  • XI Alert Categories in CCMS alert monitor

We defined an alert category through ALRTCATDEF and we generate alerts using  SALRT_CREATE_LOCAL in the Graphical and Java mapping. We would like these alerts to be visible in CCMS alert monitor in addition to XI alert inbox. We have done config specified in the SAP documentation to get the RWB alerts in CCMS alert monitor, but only the alert categories for which alert rules are defined in RWB are visible, at the moment. IS this because we don’t have an alert rule for the alert categories called by  SALRT_CREATE_LOCAL,we are not able to see them in CCMS? Is there a way to get around this problem and get these alerts also in the CCMS ?

  • Query regarding CCMS alert in XI

    Hi XI gurus,
We have some queries regarding the CCMS alert configuration in XI server. We are planing to implement CCMS alerts for Message failure in IE, Adapter Engine, Queue Block, etc.
Can anyone please let us know what exactly should be done by BASIS team and XI(Dev/Support) team.
    Thanks
    Suganya.

I have not done this  but was implemented in my projects
I am providing some links which you can use with help of BASIS

    Configuring  Alert management (ALM)
You should basically aim at configuring SOLMAN as your central alert cerver so that you will receive alerts from DEV QA PROD boxes of PI , ABAP in one system , no need to configure alerts separately
