CCTV DVR No Longer Showing Images On IE9

Hi there,
I hope someone may have an idea as to what may be causing the below issue.
Our business has a CCTV DVR that we have been using via Internet Explorer successfully for over 12 months now.
However, since updating to IE9 on a few of our Windows 7 machines the images will no longer show, we can log into the DVR and all of the interface shows correctly it is just the camera images that will not show.
We have had success on only one PC using IE9, the difference being is that this PC uses Vista business and has an ATI graphic card (all the others that will not work have Nvidia cards including one Vista Ultimate machine)
As a test I formatted one of the Windows 7 machines and reinstalled Windows 7, then drivers etc before installing IE8.
I then logged into our DVR successfully and all the camera images streamed ok, after this I updated to IE9. When logging into the DVR now with IE9, again no images stream. The Activex is installed correctly and running or I would assume so as all the interface
loads and comms commands work (retreiving settings, copying footage from the HDD etc).
When we first got this DVR we did have this same problem and after speaking to technical support they got me to run dxdiag which shown that Direct Draw was not available, they advised me to update the display drivers on the PC which cured the issue (direct
draw then shown enabled and images streamed).
Although I would have thought display drivers would not be the issue as IE8 works ok updating them was one of the first things I did after the issue first appeared on IE9.
I have been in contact with manufacturer and they have said they will look into it but I just thought I would ask here incase any of you knowledgable folk may know what could cause this.
I realise this may not even be something to ask here also, it may be better answered on the Nvidia forums I just dont know.

Just to recap and give you a bit more info on each PC here are the operating systems and graphic cards installed, all drivers have been updated:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit - Nvidia Gefore 6200
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Nvidia Gefore 6200
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - Nvidia Geforce 8800GTS 512MB
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - Nvidia Gefore 8800GTS 320MB
Windows Vista Business - ATI Radeon 4600 (Only Working Computer)

In certain cases with some graphics card, Internet Explorer 9 may have performance or fidelity problems when drawing webpage content. You can try the following method to check if it works.
Open the Internet Explorer 9, press Alt, click Tools - Internet Options.
Click Advanced Tab, check the box "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering".
Meanhwile, please also ask this question in
NVIDIA Forum since you mentioned update the driver fix part of the issue.

Quite so; they now show a generic PNG icon. The change came with SL. You'll also note that the naming convention for them has changed.

Shift + Drag image no longer shows image outline or ghost

In PSCS4, when you held down the SHIFT Key and dragged one image on top of another image, you would see an outline or a "ghost" of the image you were moving as you moved it - in PSCS5 that option no longer appears - has it been removed? Thanks!

All of my webarchives will no longer show images

It happened a couple years ago and lasted several weeks and then it went away. I can't remember how.

I'd try removing and then re-installing iTunes. An uninstall will not remove your music etc. That should re-install the usb drivers etc. I don't think you can separately delete and install the drivers.

IMovie events not showing images

Previously created Project (that has been Shared with iTunes) suddenly no longer shows images in the Viewer in from the Event; the shared movie in iTunes is still good. Still have audio from the Event. Thumbnails still are visable in both the Project and Event. But the actual images themselves from the Event and Project are not viewable. However, if I go to the Event folder and click any of the .mov files from that Event QuickTime shows the images completely ... so the issue seems to be with iMovie. Any help on this matter would be great.

Thanks for your reply ... it gave me an idea and that cleared up the problem.
No, I did not move any of the files from the Folder (Event) but the links to the files must have gotten corrupted. Can't answer for why it happened or what it the best method in iMovie for re-establishing them. But what I decided to do what create a new Folder (Event) in iMovie and then move the files from the affected Folder to the new Folder--that was just a simple Finder move. Tested to see if the movie files were viewable from the new Folder (Event), and all was fine. Then I moved the files back to the original folder (Event) and the Event and Project were both viewable again. (You have to close and open iMovie to get it to process the Event of course....)
Again, I can't explain what corrupted the Event Links. Anyway, if anyone else has this problem just remove the movie files and restoring will re-establish the links.

Hi Why do you need to use a PC since iOS 7 you can download updates Apps everything Over wifi I have iPhone 5 s & 2 ipads in over a year I have never connected them to My Apple pc Try a wifi update If you have problems Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both Down until You see Apple Logo you will not last any data. You may have moved or removed content on your page or its possible you used the"Adjust Image" and over sharpeed one or more images.
I assume you mean it does not show up of new Chapter pages... have you checked the template?
Where you see the ? you need to either reduce teh box outline size - or drop anther copy of the original image onto it, it may fill the ? box or sit on top.... delete the ? box.
If its Chapter page only related, its better doing this in the template.
Is you image .jpg or .png?

Firefox won't open localhost files, it downloads the file instead and then won't show images, IE9 localhost works fine.

I have installed XAMPP to preview web pages locally. Everything works fine in IE9 but not in Firefox. When I load a localhost page Firefox downloads the file, then displays the downloaded file without showing images within the page.
So, in IE9 the address bar looks like this (correctly): http://localhost/my_sites/WebMaestro/Exercises/Lesson8/changeImage.html
In Firefox the address bar looks like this: file:///C:/Users/Rog/AppData/Local/Temp/changeImage-3.html

Are you using a Firefox extension like '''Auto Save Document ''' ? If you are using then you need to disable it. The documents are stored as html-text only (no embedded objects like pictures etc.) As a result the images don't appear on browser.

IPhone emailed pictures no longer showing up as attachments after update to IOS 6.1.3

When emailing photos, they no longer show up in my Outlook email as attachments after I updated my iPhone4S to IOS6.1.3. They did just prior to this update. Anyone know why?

You should be able to right click and save the or copy the image. But, there may be a configuration in Outlook that is determining how the attachement is encoded or handled preventing this. (could also be on teh Exchange server).
For what it is worth, I test from my iPhone to my work account (Outlook client via Exchange server) and did have an issue.
Do you use a signature on your iPhone? If not, set one and try that. I know it sounds odd, but give it a go.

After changing contact photo on iPhone, photo no longer shows up in outlook

I had my contact photos all setup on my iphone, and syncing correctly with iTunes and showing up correctly in Outlook 2007. The photos are stored on the iPhone, and set either by selecting the photo and doing "Assign to Contact", or in Contacts, Edit, Edit (the picture) and "Choose Photo". They would show up as a thumbnail in the Outlook 2007 Business Card view, and also in the detail when you double-click a contact. This part of the process hasn't changed.
What has changed is iOS4. Now, when I go in and change a contact's photo on the iPhone, it no longer shows up correctly in Outlook 2007. It shows a blank space when showing the Business card view, but shows the photo correctly in the detail if I double-click a contact. Even if I change it back to the photo that it was, it still won't show correctly in Outlook 2007 Business Card view.
Contacts whose photos I haven't changed since iOS4 show correctly in both places in Outlook 2007.
Anyone else seeing this or have a fix?

I'm having the same troubles and after searching for a while i found
the following solution:

First, some figures:
iPhone camera resolution: 1600×1200 (72dpi)
iPhone screen resolution: 320×480 (160dpi)
iPhone contact picture display size: 64×64 (160dpi)
iPhone contact picture display size on call: 320×270 (160dpi)
Outlook import resolution: 72×96 (72dpi)
- On your PC, resize the image contact to 320×320 (160dpi),
knowing that 25 pixels on the top and bottom will be semi-transparent when on call.
- On your PC, create a folder iPhone Photos\Contacts and move your contact photos inside Sync the photos into your iPhone with iTunes through the Photos tab.
- Select the iPhone Photos folder as source.
- Manually associated the photo to your contact on the iPhone
(Edit ->Add Photo->Choose Existing Photo)
- Sync back the iPhone with iTunes.
The photos will be associated automatically into Outlook with the good resolution this time.

Lightroom is no longer showing the .dng files

Lightroom is no longer showing the .dng files, everything else(Exif data and histogram), but no viewable picture. It did ask me for my serial number today, which I typed in. After that I went to import new RAW files, and the files themselves imported, but will not show the picture. None of my .dng files will show the picture now.

It seems that the ACR cache is either corrupt or the whole plugin might have got some corruption.
You can go ahead and delete the Lightroom x Catalog Previews.lrdata by following the location from the link below accrding to the OS. (x denotes version)

After relaunch if it still doesnt show the images try uninstall and reinstall of Lightroom by removing it from Programs & features if on Win 7 or from Add & Remove in Windows XP.
If you are on mac just take the Lightroom complete file and trash it & directly install the most recent update of Lightroom.

The common method to include binary information (image, PDF, document, etc) is to Base64 encode the file and store the resulting character string in the XML. It would be up to the receiving system to handle the encoded information in the XML.

Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
Open Acrobat and go to "Edit > Preferences > Page Display" and check whether 'Show large images' option is checked.
Is this issue specific for one PDF?
If possible, please share the file with me via email so that I can also check at my end.

.m3u playlist showing image for a timed interval?

I have a simple playlist that plays a few videos.
introVideo.f4m
videoTitle.jpg
video.f4m
I am placing an image in-between the two videos...like a title card.
Though, I would like to only show this image for 2 seconds and then have the 2nd video automatically load, without having the user have to advance to the next item in the playlist.
Is it possible to somehow specify how long an image appears in a playlist before automatically loading the next item in the playlist?
This functionality happens for videos in playlists, but not for images. After a video finishes playing, the next item in the playlist is automatically loaded. This functionality would be very beneficial for images and other file types (i.e. swf).

I'm sorry, we didn't implement this use case. You can create a very small video file for this as a workaround.

Mail Not Showing Images

Since updating to 10.6.3, Mail will no longer display images. All of the settings are proper, but images display as a question mark.
I've recently had to do an erase and install for other reasons and Mail still will not display images.
Has anyone else come across this? If so, is there a fix?

im on 10.6.4, show HTML box is checked, little snitch has full access to images, so what the heck else could it be? there is a BUG in the preferences codes or something. others on another thread seem to be stuck too. Even if i right click and try to 'download image' that too does not work.
Can a tech for Mail look into the matter please, someone who has knowledge of the inner workings of Mail code..
