CCX desktop monitoring - codec

Hi all!
I'm trying to setup CCX 7.0(1)SR5 silent monitoring using desktop monitoring. There are no error messages, but supervisor does not hear anything. I turned up debug on agent and supervisor desktops. Before I saw in agent.log message "WARN VOIP3004 Unsupported Codec. PayloadType = <G.729>". This is quite explanatory. I made sure that phones use G711 codec. Tested while in call ( double ? ) - it is G.711. Still the same - no sound. Now I see "improvement" in agent.log - "WARN VOIP3004 Unsupported Codec. PayloadType = <UNKNOWN>". CCX server is configured to use G711. Have anybody encountered something like this? Does it make difference for CAD - G711u or G.711a? Any guesses which codec is UNKNOWN?

I've you come up with a solution? I have the same UCCX version and a very similar problem:
I'm using Extension Mobility for the Agents.
I've configured a brand new agent. It is associated with its team and Work Flow on the Desktop Admin.
When I try to record it shows on the Agent log:

The amazing thing is that if I put another agent on using the same ip phone (remember EM) and logged on the CAD, on the same team and using the same workflow it can record and stop recording the calls. Nothing is written on the Agent log this time.
any hints?
I plan to restart the Desktop VoIP Monitor service...

I am having some porblem regarding my project on Remote Desktop Monitoring System.
The project is supposed to have the following features:

Remote Desktop Monitoring System is supposed to be a fully java based project. As the name suggests, the project should be able to view the computers(active screens) on the network and perform some specified tasks.
It also should have features like Instant messaging and File transferring between the connected computers.
(It is similar to the available software in Windows XP which helps us to monitor and contorl othe computers in the network)
-In order to connect to each other, the computer should have Remote
Desktop Monitoring Systems Server software or Client software installed in it.
-The main objective of this project is to build that Server and Client software with which we can perform the specified tasks.
-We are using NetBeans to develop the project and MySQL to handle some user datas.
-We have finished the Front End forms for the project and are finding difficulties in networking using java.(since we are students new to java)
I hope the above explanation clears some queries about the project.If anything is not clear please post on this forum and help us.
So if anybody has similar type of project or and concept regarding how to create the Client and Server side software as mentioned above please help us.

YYou can connect with the cables listed above or with an Apple TV device. Keep in mind that and ipad is what it is and was made to be used as it is. I can tell you first hand that what you are trying to do will likely not be of assistance since the ipad is still required as the user interface. Connecting to a larger display maybe fine for watching movies if that's what you have in mind but for overall use the ipad will still have to be used and thus looked at to type and touch. Even with a bt keyboard there are still to many limitations That only a mouse can solve along with a keyboard and display.
All said, you may be better off looking into, and perhaps using along with the bigger screen, some of the features that can be found in (general-text size) and (general accessibility) settings. Other then that, if you are not mindset on the ipad experience, there are other products on the market that are better suited and more affordable. I have provided care for my mother in law from here 80's to mid 90's. Been there, done that.

CAD - Desktop Monitoring Console

Hi All,
We are tried to monitor the CAD server using "CAD Desktop Monitoring Console" .
We configured the snmp community "public" & restart the snmp service as mentioned in the CAD installation guide.
I am getting the snmp timeout error while accessing the console.Please help on this.

if you look at page 139, it says how to configure Desktop Monitoring Console and only covers windows SNMP.
but if you take a look at guide for CAD 10.0

page 148 shows how to configure Desktop monitoring console, and there they have separately mentioned Cisco SNMP configuration.
so lets try to make it work with cisco SNMP. please follow this steps and see if it works.
1) on the both side of CAD server, got to Run and type mmc.exe if you are using 64 bit OS, you have to run mmc.exe /32
a console will pop up with console root
2) go to file --> add/remove snap-in
3)in the snap in click on ADD button and from list of snap ins add Cisco SNMP Agent Management.
once you add successfully, click ok and
now in your console root, you will be able to see Cisco SNMP managemnet agent.
4) explore agent by clicking + sign and under community names right click and go to properties
5) click add new community , under community name give public (case sensitive all small) and select SNMP version as v2c and access rights as read only.
6) go to CAD postinstall.exe and under SNMP configuration, add at least one trap destination.
7) restart Cisco SNMP management service.
open your browser and check if console is working or not. and rate post if helps.

Monitor model (Desktop Monitor) was not loaded in the client resource explorer | SCCM 2012

Hi Everyone,
We have SCCM 2012 installed and configured. More than 2000+ computers have been installed SCCM client and manageable by SCCM server.
The inventory (Desktop Monitor) was not loaded in the client resource explorer (For some clients it got inventoried). Is there are possibilities that the Max file size might get exceeded the actual limit for the hardware inventory
which has to be increased in the registry?
Please provide us a solution.

See dataldr.log on the site server. It would show .mif files that exceeded the file size. InventoryAgent.logon the client might also help.

How do I make a site with full browser sized images look right on different desktop monitors

If I cannot get an answer to this question, I will have to cancel my subscription. I have contacted support to no avail, and there is no place else to go for help. My vertically scrolling site looks great on my laptop, but when published the layout is all screwed up on differently sized desktop monitors. I have spent hundreds of dollars now in cc subscription now learning this. Someone please help!

How do I move Firefox from my laptop screen to my desktop monitor

My IMac laptop was disconnected from my desktop monitor during a session using Firefox. When the laptop was later reconnected to the desktop monitor, the Firefox window continued to appear on laptop screen and not the desktop monitor screen even though the Firefox icon and toolbar shows on the desktop screen. This problem only affects Firefox and not Safari.

Install Zune on the laptop if it's a Windows PC or use the Windows Phone Connector on Mac. For Zune see the support page for more information. You can also copy your pictures to SkyDrive and from there access them on the Phone.

Missing Class = "Monitor" from registry related to Desktop monitor

There is certain registry key named "Class" under "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\DISPLAY\Default_Monitor\...\" with value as "Monitor" is missing.
I need to get desktop monitor information via EDID on check for Class = "Monitor".
What is the reason for this missing registry key?

Desktop Monitor for Web Color Grading

First question is simple: I'm in need of new desktop monitors. Looking towards the Dell Ultrasharps, which have been a favorite in the past, specifically the U2412M. Any other suggestions?
Second question, more difficult: I do a fair amount of color work with DaVinci Resolve. None of it for broadcast. By this logic, I feel like I can get away with a solid desktop monitor rather than a Dreamcolor, FSI or something pricier. If this is the case, any input on whether the Ultrasharps are a better or worse choice than anything else?
And third question: Resolve doesn't output to a second monitor without a Decklink. I guess this means I would need the Decklink Studio, or buy an SDI/HDMI converter to get to the desktop monitor? Seems like overkill, but the only option?

2 - A computer monitor is never good for color grading. Different colorspace than TVs or broadcast monitors.
That's sort of the idea-- almost all my work is for the web, and therefore I feel like a good computer monitor is actually (albeit counter-intuitively) a good fit.
Besides that, I'd love to kill two birds with one stone and have an extended desktop when I'm not grading.

New Desktop Monitor?

I'm looking into buying a computer desktop monitor that will be compatible with both a macbook pro and a pc. Currently I have a macbook version 10.6.8 and I want to get the best deal for the price of a monitor that will be compatible with a pc (that I don't have yet). I'm a college student who would be using it for school work, programming and most likely watching movies. There are so many different brands and such that I don't know where to start. What do you reccommend? (price limit $100)

Its defective, thats for sure. Its time to take it back to the store and exchange it for another one.

I have a MacBook Pro 15" with the anti-glare display which is great for out an about where you have little control over the lighting or what is behind you. In my study, where I can control the lighting to keep the reflection and glare to a minium I use a Apple Thunderbolt display.

Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console

Hi,
We have installed CAD Services on 2 PGs.
We have configured Cisco SNMP Service to send SNMP events to CUOM (Cisco Unified Operations Manager).
CUOM monitors ICM services but not CAD Services, so we need to use Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console.
Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console is based on Windows SNMP Service, but this service is disabled and can not be running at the same time with Cisco SNMP Service.
Is there a solution to be able to use both Cisco and Windows SNMP Services to monitor ICM process by CUOM and CAD Services using Cisco Desktop Monitoring Console?

how did you resolve this? I was only able to get the CAD monitoring Console running, but I needed to disable Cisco SNMP and enabled Windows SNMP. After that the Console is working.
Is there any impact using Windows SNMP instead of using Cisco SNMP.
I would like to not bother Cisco TAC with that, if anyone has successfully runninbg the console with Cisco SNMP service.

CAD 8.5 - desktop monitoring/recording not "supported" in WIN7 64-bit, Really ?

Does "not supported' mean it doesn't work at all or TAC wont support it. Anyone have any experience good or bad ?
I'm pretty disappointed that Cisco finally steps into the modern age with their first support for a 64-bit operating system in the year 2011 but yet its not fully functional.
What do we do for users across WAN links etc.. for desktop monitoring ? A 3rd party app, etc..
Will UCCX 9.x support the Built in Bridge (BIB) ?

Just curious but did you upgrade from UCCX8 to 8.5? If so, were you experiencing similar issues on that version or were these introduced in 8.5? We are currently with a UCCX/CAD 8 install and they are having quite a few problems with CAD, specifically with CSD. They did not previously have these issues on UCCX 4 prior to building out this new UCCX 8 system. Needless to say they are puzzled as to why they have experiencing a 'downgrade' after upgrading to a much newer version. They have had little luck with TAC so far but there is some progress. Regardless, I'm just curious if alot of these issues are related to the new rev of code (beginning with 8) being linux based v/s window. Essentially requiring a re-write of the code I would assume.

H515 Desktop Monitor Power cuts out

Help Please. I have an H515 desktop. After a period of inactivity the power will go off to my monitor. The CPU is still on but I can't get the monitor on. All my power settings are set to never turn off the display. I am running Windows 8.1. I've tried multiple monitors and I've changed out the monitor cables. No luck
Any thoughts?

Have you tried booting the computer into Windows Safe Mode to see if the inactivity causes the monitor to black out ? I'm not sure if Safe Mode will totally by-pass Windows Power Management, but it is worth a try. If the monitor stays on then I would suspect a power setting or driver problem with Windows. The link below is for a little tutorial on booting Windows 8.1 into Safe Mode if needed. Step #2 is probably the easiest.

Have you tried booting into the BIOS Setup and see if inactivity blacks out the monitor ? You can boot into the BIOS Setup on your model by shutting the computer completely off then press and hold the F1 key when powering it back on. When you see the BIOS screen then release the F1 key. This would be the true test to see if your black out problem is a hardware issue since the operating system isn't loaded.
