CCX Editor Customizer Error

I am running Windows 7 and I have installed CCX Editor in XP Mode
The last version worked fine however when we upgraded to 7.0(1)SR04_Build443 I uninstalled the older editor and installed the new. Now when I go to the properties of the steps I get a Error Box with the Title "Customizer Error" There is no wording in the window itself and thier is a red "X" and OK button. After clicking the OK button it open the customize windown with the wording "Nothing to customize" Has anyone ran into this error and know how to fix it?

I received this error msg too at uccx 7.0 sr5, i followed the wikidoc changes and then it gave another error msg of java.lan.nullpointer exception". for troubleshooting , i followed the instructions from below mentioned link and got the problem fixed.

How to Customize Error message in JXL

I want to customize error message in JXL. I.e. When we apply number validation to a cell and if you enter invalid data MS-Excel shows error message saying that "The value you entered is not valid". But I want to customize this message to "Data should be a decimal number". Can anyone help me how to acheive it. Thanks in Advance.

And, I found a way to achieve my requirement in a declarative way.
I just created an entity validator on EmployeeEO.
- Rule_Type: Key Exists
- Rule Definition:
- Validation Target Type: Entity Object
- Association Name : <Select Assiociation created > "EmpDeptFK"
- Failure Handling:
- Error Message: "Invalid Deparment ID {0} Entered. Please enter a valid Department ID."
- Message Token for "0": Department ID
And It fulfilled my requirement.

Using Unified CCX Editor in offline mode ?

Hi,
Can we use Unified CCX editor (7.0) (for IVR scripting) in offline mode ? Or, we have to connect to server and pass the authentication to use the editor ?

This is in theory supposed to work after you log in against the server the first time. The CCX editor is supposed to copy the license file locally and allow for offline functionality. In practice this doesn't really work reliably or at all. You might want to search for a bug on it and open a TAC case if one doesn't exist.

CCX Editor keeps crashing on UCCX 7

Hi,
I have 2 node UCCX 7.0(1)SR03_Build011 just recently the CCX Editor started to crash every time you click on the variable/parameter.
This happens for exisitng scripts and new scripts. It happens from any PC that has Editor installed and when you use the locally installed version on the servers.
Has anyone seen this before? Or could point me in some direction I can't really see anything in the logs.

Try changing the Compatibility properties of the CRS Editor icon. Assuming that you're running Editor locally on your PC; first be sure the editor is closed>right-click the CRS Editor icon>select Compatibility tab>check the Run this program...checkbox and choose Windows 2000 drop-box>click apply. Launch Editor again and try modify a variable/parameter again to test if you get the same issue.

Customize error-pages in portal

Hello!
How to customize error-pages (e.g. error 500, 404, 403...) in an application
running within the portal (e.g. BEx Web Analyzer) ?
Via the visual administrator it is possible to customize error-pages for
a single applications (=> Server => Services => Web Container => choose an
application => Btn. View => Tab. Pages => Tab. Error Pages)
- but how to costomize all error-pages for all applications running within the portal ?

Hi madhvika,
One way you can modify the standard error msgs is using Custom Error msgs which you can define in the web.xml deployment descriptor of your application.

you can use the first method - Error msgs mapped to error codes.You can create your own static html and write your own customised error msg in that instead of the usual 404 error : Resource not found.
I think the standard error msgs are not stored in portal...not sure though.I think they are defined in the J2EE engine as parameters.Have to chek on that once.
Or probably if u have KM installed then these error msgs can be directed to a file stored in KM and the respective msg can be displayed.....again storing as static html.

Hi,
Except for the application error pages you should also keep in mind that some error pages are generated by SAP Webdispatcher - presuming you are using one in front of your J2EE-Engine

This is documented in the Portal admin guides.
Make a copy of the standard error page (in the navigator) then change the portal configuration (in builder) and tell it to use your own page.

Content editor webpart error "cannot retrieve properties at this time"

Hi,
Everytime I try to editor content within the content editor web part I receive the error message "cannot retrieve properties at this time".
I can edit the content within the web part when I use http. The error only seems to occur to when using https and SSL.
I've looked at the following web site and KB articles to implement a workaround however still get the same error.

My symptoms
1. CEWP & Sharepoint Designer could not retrieve data.
2. Event id 5000 "ulsexception12,p1 w3wp.exe ..."
Problem
1. Upgraded Small Farm WSS and SPS 2007 to SP2.
2. Unhandled exceptions and access denieds int the uls logs no specifics to run down.
3. Crawl issues and had to reset the crawl index.
Solution
1. ASPNet user account had certain rights stripped by gpo, check your permission with Tech Net "IIS and Built-in Accounts 6.0" or I found a much easier product to use Mircrosofts "Authentication & Access Control Diagnostics 1.0"
2. Ran the "stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 0" to check for unsyn'd databases then ran the "stsadm -o sync deleteolddatabases 0" to clear those databases.
Havn't seen any further issues, this was a tuff nut to crack hope this helps someone else.jellywood

CCX Editor - How to combine 2 String Variables

[string] Variable1 = "/*"
[string] Variable2 = "4340"
I would like to combine these 2 Variables and set it to a 3rd Variable using the Set Step. So the final outcome would look like the following...
[string] Variable3 = "/*4340"
Here is what I have which is not working.
Set Variable3 = Variable1 + Variable2

Sorry guys. I actually had it correct. This is how I verified it.
Open CCX Editor without loading a script. Then, in the Debug menu choose Reactive Script. Choose your Script for the Script Name and then choose a timeout value. (I choose 15secs)
Dial the number that triggers the script. Click on Debug and Insert a Breakpoint before the End Step. Now click on Debug and start Debugging. Once the script hits the Breakpoint, click on the Debug menu again and choose Evaluate. You can now select your Variable and evaluate its value.
I noticed that I was using a / (forward slash) instead of a \ (back slash) as the escape character. I was combining my two variables but using the wrong slash. Oops. Thanks for the help though. I now see there are more than one way to accomplish this.

Unified CCX Editor: Retrieving Sequence Number on Multi-Leg Call

I'm fairly new to scripting in the Unified CCX Editor, so apologies for any mistakes/misunderstandings I may have.
I have a situation where I'm trying to retrieve and use the Sequence Number of a call within a script.
There is a tool called "Get Contact Info" where you can retrieve the Sequence Number from the session, but this does not work for calls with more than 1 leg.
e.g. I have an incoming call which is answered by Agent A, who then transfers the call to a seperate queue where it is answered by Agent B.
This creates 2 records in ContactCallDetail (and other related tables) with the same Session Id, but a sessionSeqNum of 0 for the first leg, and 1 for the second leg.
Within the script for the 2nd queue, I'm retrieving this sequence number and populating one of the Custom Variables's with it, so that I can confirm that the value is correct. It is not! It is always set to 0 (even if the default for the variable I'm pulling the Get Contact Info->Sequence Number into has a default value of 999.
So, how do I get the Sequence Number?
Any ideas?

Hi,
I test using the "select ressource" box, that way I am using a CSQ and it's works. Before, I was just testing with a "Redirect call" box and that is not the right solution.

This usually happens if you edit the scripts and either:
- upload via web browser to UCCX, but do not 'refresh' the script and application when prompted
- save direct to the repository within the CCX Editor
If you do either of these, the script goes into the CCX DB, but is not refreshed into the file system where the scripts run from on each server. You need to go into the script management page, refresh the script, then go into application management and refresh the application.

CCX editor 10.5 reactive debugger not reading correct file

We recently upgraded to 10.5 and now the debugger will not work as did before. I will pick a file and it loads it but its not correct. Its showing an old version and I can't seem to change it. Does anyone know where I can update this? It used to work great now not so much.

Debug Error in Cisco Unified CCX Editor

The error is, "Task:29000012458 AcceptStep: Trigger is not a ContacApplication Trigger".
My impression, reading the documentation, is that the Accept trigger is ubiquitous in these types of scripts.
What happens if I get rid of it?

The Accept step answers the audio call for JTAPI-based contacts. Any step that interacts with a contact (e.g. Accept, Get Call Contact Info, Play Prompt, etc) will fail if you're doing an step-through debug. You will need to load the script, start a reactive debug, and then call the application trigger. This way your audio call is a contact that the Accept script can process.
