CD burn had error code 4280, HELP!!!

I installed the latest version of iTunes, but as many other postings I've read, I have not been able to successfully burn a CD with iTunes since the installation. Every time I get the message, "The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4280)." I have used Device Manager in the Control Panel to try and update the driver for the CD-ROM, but Windows says it cannot find a better driver than the one I have installed. I also ran CD Diagnostics in the iTunes help menu and the text is attached below:

ITunes 7.3 failed back up data DVD burn had error code 261(0x00000105).

Just bought a bunch of new songs and went to back them up in iTunes 7.3 and I keep getting error code 261(0x00000105).
Any ideas? Did not have this problem in prior versions. Brner works fine with other programs.

Keep getting the same error as well. Run cd/dvd diagnostics and it should tell you... "The last failed data CD or DVD burn had error code 261(0x00000105)".

Prior to the iTunes 7.0 update I had no problems burning discs from iTunes. Now, after the update I can begin burning, seem to burn a few tracks, before the whole system crashes causing a reboot. The drivers are up to date, and the drive is functioning correctly. Here is the diagnostics report:

I guess I should also ask, is anyone else having their system crash after part way through burning an audio disc? And better yet, has anyone had this problem and then been able to fix it? Or, does anyone know how to resolve this if it can be resolved with the current 7.0 build.

I tried removing the itune, installing the most up to date one. I tried everything and I could use help badly. I put in new CD's to burn and it checks it and does not even burn the DVD and I wasted so many CD's doing that, I'm not quite sure what do to. It used to burn it easily and I'm not sure why its giving me this error code. Please help.

hmmm. i went to Toshiba to check for any available updates for your Satellite ... but they split out the downloads by subcategories for the A105, and so i'm not sure what your precise model is.

Does ANYONE know what error code 4280 is referring too?

I have asked this same question 4x this will be my 5th time. I keep getting an error code 4280 and I have no idea what it is or how to fix it. Someone.... anyone please help.

Error Code 4280

I have spent the day researching this problem.
I have a Dell Dimension 4550 computer with a _NEC CD-RW NR 9300A Drive. I suddenly began having a problem burning discs.
As soon as it starts to write to the disc I get the error message "An Unknown Error has occured (4280)
I have tested the drive to make sure it is working, I have attempted to adjust the speed and tried a number of other fixes for different drives suggested on the internet to no avail.
If anyone could help me with this I would greatly appreciate it.

When I try to burn cd's I get the message 'cancelling disc burn' and an error code '4280', also I can't burn cd's on WMP all this has started after I upgraded, any ideas?

Failed while scanning for CD / DVD drives, error 2380.
Error while opening iTunes CD driver. This could be caused by a corrupted iTunes file or a conflict with other older CD burning applications, either currently installed or previously installed and uninstalled incorrectly.
With that one, I'd start with solution 3 from the following document:
iTunes for Windows: Optical drive is no longer recognized, or "Disc burner or software not found" alert after install

Hi, I used to always be able to burn CDs on my computer with iTunes fine and now I keep getting error code 4450 right after the 1st song begins to burn. My computer is not even one year old yet! I tried reading other topics like this one but I could not figure out how to fix the problem myself. Yes, here it is... but I have used this same pack of cd's to burn many times before. so i do not think it is the cd, i dont know if that information helps or not...

Unable to Burn CDs - Error code: 2131

HAs this one come up yet? I go to burn a CD, it initializes and then pops the CD out with error code 2131.
I have the latest version of -tunes on Vista.

Error code 2131 help needed

i am trying to burn some cds but every time i do i get this error code2131
i have upgraded the firmware as i have seen suggested i am at a loss any help would be graetly received ihave also run a diagnostic as follows.

There has been an epidemic of 2131 burning errors associated with the TSST TS-L632* drive. And some manufactures have offered a firmware update or drive swap to fix the problem.
I have not seen this issue come up your your model of drive although it is the same manufacturer.
It would be worth checking your computer manufacturer's download site to see if there is a firmware update available for your drive.
Otherwise I don't think I can help apart from contacting your computer supplier.
Maybe someone else has some ideas.

Unable to burn cd error unknown 2131 Help please

Hello, Can someone please help me I cannot burn Cd's on my Advent laptop and it keeps coming up with unknown error 2131, i understand you need to run a test on the cd drive, here is the info from that .....

The 2131 is usually associated with older versions of the firmware for the TS-L632H, josh.
The TMC0 is a firmware revision I haven't seen before ... presumably it's an Advent-supplied version. Check in with Advent (or Dixon's?) technical support to see if they have a later version available. If you update to the higher firmware version, does that get you past the 2131?
