Cd/dvd drivers for vista

Hi,
I have a Lenovo 3000 N200, which came with Vista installed. I reformatted to Linux but had so much trouble detecting devices that I went back to Vista. But now my CD/DVD drive is not showing up at all. Can someone please direct me to which drivers I need to install?

its funny. i mean not your problem, but i can't understand why your drive isn't in your system.
you can boot from your drive, but soon as you are in vista , it isn't there.
today we don't need drivers for cd/dvd drives.
maybe your south/north bridge is playing a joke?
download chipset drivers from the Lenovo page, (that should be a Intel Chipset) maybe then the south and north bridge will recognize you dvd drive.
other way, everest is the best diagnostic program, it shows all hardware, better then the windows hardware manager.
Something witch windows hardware manager doesn't show, show everest, maybe there you would see the drive, with the problem.
Don't change a runing system!

There are no XP or Vista drivers for the new Apple computer hardware. Apple stopped XP and Vista support. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4410.

Question vis Motherboard drivers for Vista

I note that Nvidia have released Graphics Drivers for Vista 97.46
When I looked at the Platform drivers they were only for Windows XP/2000.
I will be moving over to Windows Vista Home Premium this weekend.
Will the 9.16 drivers I use so far, work.

I found this on the Nvidia Download page of their website.
The driver is for Nforce 570SLI/570/550.
However when you read below the main heading it says WHQL for 570SLI.
It is for Vista 32bit.
Could anybody tell me if this driver package will conflict with my Motherboard.? ???

Webcam inc fv-0050 drivers for vista??

i have the webcam creative labs inc vf-0050.
it works fine in xp but in my laptop i have vista and it doesnt work there...
i tried to find drivers for it but i couldnt find something.
please if anyone knows about drivers for vista for this product to help me.

I dont have my leopard disk, where can i find bootcamp drivers for vista?

i just bought a used macbook pro. the man i bought it from didnt have his leopard disk. i installed vista 32 last night succesfuly but none of the features work because i dont have the leopard disk to download the oppropriate drivers. does anybody know where i can download the bootcamp drivers for vista 32 without having to buy the leopard disk?

Hopefully, he gave you a $130 discount off the price, since you're going to have to buy a new Leopard disk. You should never have a machine without a system disk for it, since you'd be unable to recover without one if something went wrong. I don't know if you'll need it for those bootcamp drivers, but you will need it sooner or later.
(Technically, what he did is illegal... if he didn't give you the disk, he should not have given you a machine with the system installed. You're also in a bad legal position, by using a system that you do not own a copy of.)

Can't download drivers for Vista

I've tried downloading the drivers for my HP2610 all in one printer to my laptop which is still running Vista. Every time I get an error that the file was deleted because it contains a virus. The error comes from Windows, but I can't determine what part of security is deleting the file. Ordered drivers on CD & order was canceled without notice. Any suggestions other than upgrading my operating system?

Tecra M7 - Where can I get drivers for Vista x64 or Windows 7 x64?

I have a nice M7 tablet and I have to admit that despite all the problems on the hardware I like the notebook however toshiba is quite sad, and they never released any 64bit drivers for windows vista or windows 7 so what am I supposed to do? toshiba does not provide support for this computer seriously.
like toshiba is really absurt, last year I contacted them about a problem with my digitizer, dust was getting in between the plasstic and the LCD through the latch on top and they told me that they will format my computer and all viruses will be gone??? I was like, I dont want a format, physical dust is getting in my screen....
just because it is a discontinued model doesnt mean they can stop providing driver updates for the system.
It is a 64bit cpu, it supports 4 GB of ram, it is a tablet pc yes the hardware is probably 4 years old or more but still it is the best tablet I have ever used, I paid 2000+ USD (Tecra models are business models or they used to be) and toshiba is not providing drivers..........
Dont tell me to install 32bit win7 or vista, that makes no sense, I have 4 GB of ram, I have a 64bit cpu but a 32bit os that is totally bs too

First of all I agree with you that Tecra notebooks are expensive and are business notebooks but you shouldnt forget that on 32bit OS the most applications are running properly and some older applications they are necessary in business sometimes not running properly on 64bit OS.
So I think for business 32bit OS is fast enough because you use 3.2 GB RAM that you should be enough if you dont play new 3D games.
Of course it would be nice to have 64bit drivers but you can collect http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/wlan/ it yourself. The most Vista drivers are also work on Windows 7 so you should look for Vista drivers.

But before you do this you should check if you can get all drivers for it.

Tecra M1 - Trident XP4 drivers for Vista?

One simple question, will Toshiba prepare a compatibile driver with Windows Vista for Trident XP4 graphic card? I took place in Microsoft Beta program but on my M1 Trident had to work as Standard VGA Graphic Card. Or maybe some other drivers are available?

I found on the Toshiba page some information about the Toshiba notebooks which are Vista capable. I think Toshiba will release firstly the drivers for such kind of notebooks
Everything else is only a speculation
Technical Support Forums Question pages say that this is only a user-to-user forum and therefore I dont think that you will find here someone directly from the Toshiba.
So only what we can do is to wait till next year and to hope that we will get the Vista drivers for our notebooks
PS: I have installed Vista on my A50 and everything run ok so I need only a driver for my Wlan car. But its a Intel wlan card and therefore I will check the Intel site for the drivers

Ati drivers for vista 32b

can anyone get ati drivers working properly on 32bit vista yet the ones from ati arnt working properly

just installed vista rc on a test machine and the ati drivers are blue screening on driver install for me as well.
there are no 'ati forums' that I can tell, submitted a support request on the ati site, but otherwise I don't see anywhere to try and figure out what i might do about this.
very concerned about this - vista is how many months from release and the state of drivers for the OS is pretty shoddy so far.
anyways, joy of all joys ;}

Issue with GEAR Software CD/DVD Drivers + Windows Vista Beta 2 (build 5384)

I am using Windows Vista Beta 2 (Build 5384), and yes I know Vista is NOT officially supported by iTunes yet. However, iTunes installs and works ok for me, except that there is an issue with the GEAR Software drivers that it installs (used for cd burning and importing). The issue is that the driver (GEARAspiWDM.sys) is not compatible with Windows Vista. Normally this would not be an issue; I would just use a different program to create audio cd's. The issue is that the drive makes both my DVD-Rom and my DVD/CD-RW drive disappears (they are still listed in the device manager, but they have driver errors, code 39).
So I was wondering if anyone in Mac/Apple land knows of a way to disable/uninstall the GEAR drivers so I can still use iTunes?
And yes I did search the GEAR Software support page, but could not find an appropriate solution.

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)
