The cd/dvd ejects every few seconds with or with out a disk loaded. ??? Not sure why. Thanks
Hi,
This could be caused by a malware. Try to go to the BIOS and see if it ejects there. Tap F2 when you turn it on and it should go to the system setup (black screen). Let it stay there. If it doesnt happen there then it could be caused by a malware. Run a virus scan.

Toshiba Qosmio X505 Q8102 freezes every few seconds in games.
Again i have to post in this forums, so im not satisfied and dissapointed..
The laptop is freezing every few seconds in most 3D games, i thought it's the OS problem, so installed a fresh copy of Windows7 (original), downloaded newest drivers from toshiba support site, and installed every one of the without problem. But the problem is still here.. Don't know what to do, gave 1800$ for this pice of junk and ill i got is problems..
I'm not a newbie within computers, working with them for past 15 years (at the moment Network Administrator in Croatian Military).
Tried replacing the memory, hdd, and still nothing, same problem.. The warranty expired and doesn't work in Europe.. Contacted US support and asked for recovery disks because this **bleep** recovery partition is damaged and can't boot from recovery.. tried with Toshiba media builder but same problem, doesn't work -_-... One thing is for sure.. im never gonna buy Toshiba again. Oh yeah, forggot tu mention, I've contacted Toshiba Croatia for recovery disks and support, and they said to me that thy don't give recovery disks and don't sell them (than why can i buy recovery dvd's from toshiba us?, and can't from Croatia)..
Anyway, if no one can tell me any solution it will be crashed with hammer and burn it (because i have no nerves for it any more).. I use the laptop very often and i need it for my job..
Before i buyed this laptop i was in doubt, buy toshiba or alienware? Hmm, made a huge mistake..

Yeah, i know the procedure with the zerro key, and with toshiba media creator to make backup dvd-s etc, but non of that work because my recovery partition is kinda damaged, don't know why is that so. Didn't mess with the hdd or anything else. But that's not the problem, installed a fresh copy of windows, updated it and installed drivers and everything i need, than made a acronis secure zone on my hdd and made recovery by my self and works great.
But bigger problem is why the hell is he freezing every now and than in games, just stops for half of a second and than continues normaly for few seconds, another thing, while its frozen the sound freezes aswell, tried another sound driver, updated everything and still got same problem.. -
MacBook Pro freezes every few seconds
Hi All,
My two year old MacBook Pro started freezing randomly one day. It happens with any application that I have open (Safari, Word, Finder), I get the beach ball every few seconds for any operation I try doing. When the cursor comes back I have seen spikes of CPU usage and the relevant program also shows as 'Not Responding'.
I have tried everything, PRAM/SMC resetting, hardware test, disk repair etc. The latest being a clean install of Mavercks. It was fine for a few hours until it started freezing again like before. I made sure not to install much and didn't even copy my backup over yet. Here is my EtreCheck output, can someone please HELP!!

My macbook pro freezes every few seconds
Hi everyone!
About a week ago my MBP started freezing every few seconds showing the well known spinning beach balls every time, even when running no apps, I've sepnt plenty of time looking for a solution, I've read this problem might be due to a physically damaged hard drive, bt I've tested it several times using different apps and it shows no error, I've read from another discussion about Etrecheck as a useful app to quickly gather certain system information that may help point to a cause of this problem, so I hope some of you guys can help me checking the log output. My browser keeps pausing and giving me the color wheel every few seconds
Whenever I'm using Firefox my browser pauses every few seconds and if I am typing something nothing comes out, or the color wheel comes out (I'm on a Mac), if I'm watching a video it pauses every few seconds... it's sort of maddening. I do have about 20 tabs open at a time, I don't know if that is what causes it. It doesn't seem to happen when I am in Safari.

I'm running a Toshiba Satellite laptop that was originally running Windows Vista 32-bit, but was upgraded by me to Windows 7 32-bit. On Windows Vista, all I would run was Firefox. I loved it!!! On Windows 7, I've noticed that Firefox kept hanging whenever I would try to download a file...from anywhere. I got so frustrated I went to try several different browsers. They all worked extremely quickly, whereas Firefox was working so slow, I could click on a link to a page, go get some lunch, come back and it still be trying to load the page. This was drastically unusual for Firefox. I used the other browsers and everything was fine for a week and then Windows Explorer started going down every few seconds. I went to the windows 7 forums and started looking. There were several suggestions on how to fix the problem, none of which worked for my compy. I tried restarting the compy in safe mode. That didn't help. I turned off every startup program except for the essentials and that DID work in keeping Windows Explorer from restarting. I then dove into the tedious task of trying to discern which 3rd party program was the offender. I removed everything from my compy that had been downloaded in the last ten days (well before the windows explorer issue, but not before the firefox issue). That didn't work either. I tried replacing an explorer file, which didn't work either. There were several other things I tried, as well, but nothing worked. Then, I saw a post that Firefox had caused the problem for one person. I went in and did as was suggested and completely removed Firefox and all associated files. Unfortunately, this worked. I haven't had any more trouble with windows explorer restarting. My big problem is, however, I can't run Firefox!!! And I LOVE Firefox!!! It's spoiled me! I hate Internet explorer, which is what I'm forced to run now. I've tried Safari and Google Chrome and don't like either one of those, either. I want my Firefox back! But if it's not working 100% it's less frustrating to be forced to live with the Internet Explorer. I'm going insane, here! Does anyone have any suggestions? I tried clearing out browser history, changing download files and a couple of other things and nothing worked with the Firefox to get it going better before I started having the Windows Explorer difficulty and had to completely erase the Firefox program. uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)
... the as suggested reinstalled the latest version of the firefox browser using the link you provided in the email ..; tested and several issues still remain present and unresolved ....
so please this is urgent or I will have to jump browsers and start using chrome .. because we work 14 hours a day 6 (sometimes 7) days a week, to get ready for the launch of our newest venture and we cannot lose that much days on browser related issues ... so please instead of putting me through week long step process .. of do this .. do that .. can you please actually look into the issue from your end .. I use firefox for so many, many years thta I deserve this kind of support .. thnx Robert -
I deleted my old email address and added a new one, after my iPhone died iCloud keeps popping up asking for the password of my old email address. I can't remember my password and the account is still gone, it pops up every few seconds. How can I fix this?
If you are unable to remember your password, security questions, don’t have access to your rescue address or are unable to reset your password for whatever reason, your only option is to contact AppleCare(or Apple ID Support), upon speaking to an operator you should explain that your problem is related to your Apple ID, this way you will not be charged for assistance, even if you don’t have an AppleCare plan.
The operator will take you through some steps you may have already tried, however they need to be sure they have exhausted all usual approaches before trying to reset your account, so you should try to be helpful and show patience with the procedure.
The operator will need to verify they are speaking to the account holder and may ask you some questions that only the account holder could know, and you will need to answer them if the process is to proceed.
Once the operator has verified your identity they will send a message through to your device which contains an alpha numeric code, which you will need to read back to them.
Once this has been completed they will send an email to your iCloud email address after a period of 24 hours, so you should check that mail is enabled in your devices iCloud settings.
Upon receipt of the email, use the reset link provided to reset your password, after which you should be able to make the adjustments to iCloud that you wish to do. -
How do I fix this problem, I have a mid 2010 mac mini. I put in both of my 4gb sticks of ram and when I power it on it beeps once every few seconds. The firmware is up to date, so what else could it be, cause this system is suppose to suppore 8gb of ram? please help and thanks

When watching my Apple TV (3rd gen) the picture jumps a few frames every few seconds, this happens when I rent a film or play back from my new Mac Pro, my Wifi is the Airport Express.
These may be different issues, but lets look at rentals first.
Poor motion can result from mismatched output. If your source is 24 or 30 fps you should set the output of the Apple TV to 60 Hz, for 25 fps content use 50 Hz.
Additionally motion software on the TV itself can cause the picture to jump, check your TV settings and turn off any motion settings in use, -
Why is my 24-inch LED display flashing black (and sometimes scrambles) every few seconds?
I have recently upgraded to a new iMac: 3.4 GHz Intel Core i7. 4 GB 1333 MHz DDr3. AMD Radeon HD 6970M. 1024 MB. Mac OS X Lion 10.7.4. I have it attached to a 24-inch Cinema Display.
Before I switched to my new iMac, it would blink black a couple of times a day. This was going on for a LONG time, but was not a big deal. However, now that I have switched to the new iMac, it is every few seconds. And it has now added the "scrambled" screen to it's repertoire. Fun. And, as I am typing this...it just went black and has not come back on.
I've read a few threads on this happening, but haven't found any substantial evidence as to what is causing this. It's beyond annoying. Has anyone learned anything new?Okay. Murphy's Law. As soon as I posted this, I found an answer (hopefully!). My situation fit the criteria at http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4045?viewlocale=en_US and I installed the update and so far, so good. I'll keep you posted.

I have a sony Bravia, and am trying to stream netflix through my iPad. have the AV and HDMI hooked up, but only getting flashes of pic every few seconds....no picture while movie is playing on netflix...???

Video freezes every few seconds
My new iPad video playback freezes every few seconds. I have a decentish Internet speed (2.3MB) and have turned all apps off and even reset. Any ideas?
Does it always take a long time to buffer the video? Can take several minutes for a video of the same length.

IPod Touch 3G loses wifi every few seconds
I just purchased a new Touch 3G last night, and every few seconds it loses the wifi connection and reconnects. It does this over and over again consistently. When i go into wifi settings, i can actually see the settings for my wireless disappear, then reappear with a check mark beside it, every few seconds.
I've tried changing broadcast channel in router, from mixed to non-mixed G, resetting the router and iTouch, and release/renew. My laptop and desktop are connecting fine with the wireless, so i assume the issue is with the iTouch.
3.1.1 OSJust recently purchased and mine does the same exact thing. Mine seems to show a strong 3 bar connection while in the WiFi settings menu. When I back out to Home, the signal indicator suddenly drops to one bar and will flucuate to 2 or 1 bar. I have done all the tricks mentioned here with my router as well. But in my home I use assigned static IP's. Every setting is correct on the iPod Touch's menu. Im lost as to why it does that.

We have Verizon fios and have been streaming videos with no problems in the past on all my apple devices including my iPhone 5s. now I have no problems streaming hbo, show time and Netflix. WhenI start a video it takes awhile to load and when it starts it will stop every 3 seconds and then I have to push the play button to start the video again. I have not had the opportunity to test any other Wifi connection other then the one at home.
