CD for car MP3

I realized that at least half of my music library is saved as MP3 and the other half (that imported from my old CDs collection) is M4a.
When I burn the CDs in order to listen in the car unfourtunately the m4a is not recognized/played by the car.
I tried to copy the all the files from the CD in another music library after checking "mp3" in the import window. However after the import is complete I realized that Mp3 remained mp3 and m4a remained m4a...
PLEASE I need a simple (and possible batch-mode not for each individual file) way to transfer all my selected files onto a CD, all in MP3 format.

The iTunes capability to burn an mp3 CD only works on files that are already in mp3 format. It does not do any on-the-fly conversions.
If you want to convert M4As to MP3s: First go into Edit > Preferences > Advanced > Importing, and set your imprt preference to mp3 at your preferred bitrate. Then, in your iTunes library, find the song(s) that you want to convert. Highlight it/them, right-click, and select "Convert selection to mp3." In your library, make sure Kind is showing (View > Options if you need to adjust) and you will see which are the MP3s. You can put a set of those in a playlist and burn your mp3 CD.

Third party tool for burning MP3 CDs?

Hi,
Are there any third party tools for burning MP3 CDs from an iTunes library?
The iTunes functionality is not sufficient for me for two reasons:
*) I have ALAC files in my library and iTunes won't convert them for putting them on the CD. I know I can convert them in iTunes, but I am looking for a more elegant solution.
*) iTunes seems to put all files in the root of the CD. My car stereo does not use MP3 tags but subdirectories to recognize albums, so I need a directory for every album.
Any hints are appreciated!

ITunes MP3 discs won't play in car MP3 stereo

Hi there...
I burned some MP3 discs, in MP3 disc format, on iTunes that I play on my car MP3 stereo player, and the car MP3 player won't recognize the disc or play just one or two songs on the disc. I'm burning them on CD-Rs. Furthermore, my old MP3 discs I burned on iTunes 3 works FINE on my car stereo, it's just discs burned with the recent versions. Does iTunes convert MP3s in a different way now? Any ideas as to what I can do?
Also, mp3s I create on itunes are not recognized properly on my Motorola cell phone as mp3s... they call them "QP3"s; mp3s converted on a PC are still recognized as iTunes. Any ideas as to why that's happening? Whew, that's a lot. Hope someone can help and thanks for your time...

twangus, your problem could be (let me stress that word could) the way iTunes is burning the disc and your car CD player doesn't like it.
iTunes burns dual platform MP3 CDs: ISO 9660 (for Windows) and HFS+ Extended (for Mac OS X). It could be that your player doesn't like these discs. To test this you should burn your MP3 CD with third-party burning software that allows you to specify what format to burn the disc in. Either exclusively ISO 9660 or HFS+ Extended.
Two burning apps that will let you do this on a trial basis are Dragon Burn and Disc Blaze. Roxio's Toast will also allow you to choose the target platform for the disc but it has no trial version.
Try one of these apps and let us know your results.

How do i change default program for opening mp3 files

Hi all, i would like to change the default program for opening MP3 files, it is currently iTunes, i would like it to be MPlayerX or QuickTimePlayer, ii am sure it is easy once i know where to look, it is easy in Windose, is has just got to be easier with my Apple

Tim,
Right click on one of your MP3 files and select "get info". In the get info screen you can select the default program to open the file. Then select Change All.. to make it the default for all MP3s.

Looking for a MP3 player for audiobo

I am looking for an mp3 player that meets these requirements. Creative Labs lists like 50 mp3 plays and no easy way to compare features. So does anyone know if anyone sells anything with these features:?- bookmarking: where I can 'save' a place in a audiobook and go listen to other stuff and come back to where I left off. The 'resume' feature on some devices is not adaquete because it assumes I don't want to listen to anything else. Other devices require me to search through hours of a book to find where I left off. Icon previews wont show for some mp3 files

For some reason I have about 30 albums (out of around 1000...which isn't too bad of a ratio) that wont show the album art for the icon preview. Instead it shows an image of an old iTunes logo, I can't remember which version of iTunes, but it's the version that has a green note on top of the disc. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

Do you have an album specified for the mp3 song. I've noticed that if I only have a couple of songs for an artist and none has the album specified, they don't always show up. If I add the album, they will sync the next time. Hope this helps.

Whats the best solution for playing mp3?

I looked around and there seem to be some solutions to play mp3 (javazoom, quicktime). What do you recommend? What are some disadvantages? Is there a good tutorial to a good class that enables playing mp3 somewhere (I didnt find one) ?

MP3 codecs have been (temporarily?) removed from the JMF because of the recent dust-up over MP3 patent "enforcement" hints from the patent holders. The only JMF implementation that is not so encumbered is the version for Windows, which actually uses the *ahem* "native" Windows codecs for decoding.
For Sun this makes a somewhat reasonable approach as the patent holders (can't remember who "they" are, but I believe it's a German university spin-off - don't take my word for it, though) can, at their discrection, charge royalty fees on a very ad hoc basis.
Micro$oft, of course, is the proverbial 800-pound gorilla and one could possibly expect them to get more preferential treatment than a "relative" financial light-weight like Sun.
Personally, for playing MP3s, though, I use XMMS. ;D

That's not true. Some of the events indeed don't require any registration but some of them do.
I.e for events
data_changed
data_changed_finished
you need register_edit_event
for
ONF4
you need register_f4_for_fields
why?
I think those most frequently used events are already registered by system, so you will only need to set handlers for them. For those less often used you need to activate them first by means of corresponding register method, then you can set a handler for it. I think the reason behind it is not to overload the system. During runtime when the event is raised the system simply checks "event" table which holds handlers set for this event. It then calls corresponding handler method. By not registering certain event I think the system simply skips this check (doesn't look at "event" table), thereby improves the performance.
Imagine you don't handle edit event at all, although your ALV is editable. System therefore should not be interested in querying "event" table each time there is a change made in grid. As I said, other events might be worth to check as maybe SAP predicts developer will use them often.
All in all it is specific to certain GUI control (EnjoSAP control) which is all documented. So anytime you want to use particular control, eventually you will have to check the manual to see if given event needs to be registered first.

1) Either a 30GB or more HDD, OR a sd OR a micro SD card slot for a 2GB card. (Note, I can buy an adapter so my sd cards fit into a compact flash slot. However, I did look at the Zen Vision M but I didn't see how to delete tracks from?my playlists.)
2) I need to be able to delete tracks in my playlists that I create in Windows Media Player (.wpl or .m3u format).

BestBuy is having a 25% off all creative mp3 player sale and I was looking at the Zen Micro Photo. I want an mp3 player that can hold alot of songs that I can run with, but I found out mini-hard dri'ves and regular ones arn't suitable for running...So I am going to stick with a large capacity player with alot of features instead of a flash player but I just can't choose. If you're planning to do exercise while using a player. I would suggest going after a flash based player like the Zen Nano Plus, Zen Nano and MuVo series instead of microdri've or harddisk based player.

We have variant material for CAR and clacification of car selected is Audia and Air bag .
Now Car, Audio system and Air bag all three materials has different serial number. In CAR material code with variant is dispatched. Later on I want track the Which srerial number air bag and audio system being supplied.

I'm not familiar with Serial Number Management but I guess you can apply it only to materials with stock.
