CD gets recognized but cannot import or play

When a CD is placed in the CD/DVD drive, iTunes recognizes it and populates the track names, lengths, album art and everything. If I attempt to play the CD, iTunes will skip quickly from track to track, in order, but not play any of the songs. If I attempt to import the CD, iTunes will show that it completed the import (with the customary 'ding' and checkmark). It will show this instantly, with nowhere near enough time to actually import. The songs do not ever get added.
Does anyone have a solution for this?
The CD will readily play in Windows Media Player if I click on the drive so I do not believe there to be any problem with the hardware or drivers. Error correction on or off does not seem to matter.
Please help!

I may be misreading what you are trying to do but you don't import libraries via the import window. You use File->Import->Library..
If this doesn't resolve your problem post back with more detail of what you are doing and what is happening.

Try forcing all applications to close and power cycle the device. Once this is done test to see if you can access and manage this game.

You might want to explain your problem a little more clearly.
To "get" an email and "receiving" email are the same thing.

Imovie recognizes camcorder, but cannot import

Hi,
iMovie previously worked fine and I've completed several projects, but now its acting weird. When I plug in the camcorder, I only get a blue screen with the "camera connected" message. I can control the camcorder (play, ff, rew), but no video appears and I obviously cannot import. Anyone seen this? Has something gone corrupt or am I overlooking a silly thing?

First-if your mac can control the camera but not see the video,
*Open Garageband
*Play a note or two
*Close Garageband
*Open iMovie
The camera should be recognized now.

I accepted Taco Update - now I can get online, but cannot log in to Email. Have uninstalled and Reset, but no good. Help!

Two weeks ago I accepted an update from Firefox called "Taco" that sounded good because it prevents certain permanent tracking cookies, etc...Now I can get online, but when I try to log in to my email it asks for my password a second time and then it looks like it's processing but it doesn't go anywhere....it shows it's trying to connect to the website (on the bottom left bar), but flickers back and forth (there) and that's it.

It sounds like there is a conflict between the code that stops trackers and the page.
You can disable TACO for a specific site by going to "Tools"->"TACO"->"Options"->"Disable for this site".

USB webcam recognized but cannot get it to work

May be this was posted earlier, i tried looking but could not find anything. Question is that i have a webcam which used to get detected as a PC CAMERA in a PC. When i plugged it into the MacBook, i thought it did not see it at all. Fiddled around a little and found that it showed up in the system profiler under USB devices as "Guess What" PC CAMERA. Now how to get to use it. Its a night vision cam which has a 1.3 MP resolution. All applications open the built in isight, how do i get them to work with the new cam which is recognized as PC CAMERA.

Windows 7 operating system....constantly pops up with a window that says I am not on the internet and can't register my product....obviously I am on the internet at this moment because I am posting on an online forum. I downloaded the software four times now, after uninstalling it three times. I downloaded XI Pro.

Can watch movies in Quicktime, but cannot import or watch in iTunes

I'm currently on Windows 7 Ultimate (64) and using the current versions of both iTunes and Quicktime. I'm currently trying to import all of my movies so I can use watch them on my Apple Tv.
Here's the catch: I was able to place a TV show in my library, but am unable to place movies. They are the same file extension. (.mp4)
I can watch the files in Quicktime no problem, just cannot seem to get them into my iTunes. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Which I will do, but I still wish to understand why it would dump everything except for iTunes-specific purchases. Is there some kind of coding in the files that expresses as coming from Apple, which any other music file does not have? Also, some of this stuff I just don't have anymore, so if it is still hiding somewhere I don't see, or if it can be recovered somehow, that would be pretty cool, too. Main question, though, is "WHY".

Upgraded to itouch 4thgen but cannot import previous playlist onto it

Hello, I had an old ipod nano and upgraded to the itouch 4th gen. I have downloaded apps/music etc via itouch from iTunes easily however, although I can see my previous exstensive playlists from old ipod on computer/iTunes account but I just cannot get the music onto the new ipod, what am I doing wrong?? :-( I'm not a techno expert so can anyone help. I just tried loading some WAV files from ProTools and they all seem to work fine for me. I tried a set of dual mono 24-bit, 48K WAV files and an interleaved, stereo 24-bit, 48K WAV file. These had all been bounced to disk using a ProTools 7.1 rig.
If you drag the file onto the app itself or onto the Soundtrack Pro icon on the dock, you'll open that file in the audio waveform editor, not the multitrack.
If you open Soundtrack Pro, by default it should come up with an empty multitrack project (unless you've changed the preferences). You should be able to use the Browser to navigate to your WAV files, and simply drag them onto a track on the multitrack timeline.
I've just tried all of the operations that I'm describing with .WAV files from ProTools, and all is good. I'm using STP 1.1 on a MacBook Pro.

I am having trouble sending mail since we moved and changed our internet service provider. Please tell me what to do to get them back online.

Start Mail.
Go to the menu Mail > Preferences...
Click on the "Accounts" tab.
To delete an account, highlight the account and press the '-' button (on the bottom) to remove it.
To add a new account, press the '+' button (on the bottom) to add it.
You will be prompted to setup the account. Use the account type and paramters as provided by your e-mail service provider. OS X does try to properly guess some of the settings, but you may need to make manual adjustments after you add the account. You can make those modifications in the Account Information and Advanced tabs (note that you cannot change the "type" of account -- e.g., you can't switch from POP e-mail to Exchange e-mail, you need to create a new account for that).
If there are any issues, you should contact your e-mail service provider.
