CD import issue: looks like 3 CDs in library

When I imported one particular CD into my library, it looks like three CDs. Other CDs have imported just fine. Is there a way that I can combine them in the library?

Objects look like bitmaps when importing vector files

I am absolute beginner with ID CS5. I am going trough a bunch of tutorials, and there is one thing I cannot solve.
When I am importing vector file content (Illustrator CS5 file with vector objects - strokes) into InDesign frame,
imported object looks like low resolution bitmap. What am I doing wrong? Is there any option I should enable or disable
to have imported objects in vector format?

Yup! Try View -> Display Performace -> High Quality. InDesign substitutes low-res previews when you're in Standard display mode. (And ID tends to run a great deal faster when it's not rendering print-res images, so you're probably best off working in Standard mode unless you have a monster of a desktop machine, or unless your work requires that you see the high-res image while you're doing other tasks in ID.)

I'm also having a music issue. When my phone is attached to the computer (mac running 10.6.8) it looks like my music is there but its gray and I can't play anything. I've tried to delete it and it won't let me but it does not show up on my phone.

By the way, I have tried shutting of the display switching in the power settings. That was basically the only real answer I found anywhere. It didn't work.

After answering the three security questions on itunes connect the submit button is still grayed out. It looks like it could be an error on the website. Has anyone encountered this issue?

I understand that issues like the one you are experiencing can be very frustrating. For this situation however, for update errors in the range of 3000-3020, I would recommend the troubleshooting steps located in the attached article. Please use the steps and information as a reference.

Anyone else having reset loop issues with ipad or ipad mini after IOS 7.02 update ? Based on my research it looks like this release is a total disaster for a lot of users. Locking up phones and ipads. Hopefully 7.03 will fix this mess.

My Ipad mini is in a constant reset loop since 7.02 upgrade. Did a full recover twice to Factory setting thru Itunes. That did not work. Any thoughts on this release and it's implications. Looks like many people are having the same issues.

Thanks for your reply. It sounds like your device is actually in a restart loop, which is different from the process of a soft reset. Specifically, what I wanted you to try is this:
Resetting your device
If your device stops responding, you can reset it by pressing and holding both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If resetting does not break the restart loop, it sounds like a different direction may be warranted here. Due to the nature of your issue you may find more assistance by using another one of Apple's support resources:

A series of video files (0001.MTS to 0005.MTS) were imported into premiere, when moved to timeline premiere combined them and made them look like one long clip named 0001.MTS. Multiple motion edits and opacity edits were made. When project manager moved the project, the actual video content of 0002.MTS to 0005.MTS was missing(source clips are still there but they were playing and working as part of that 0001.MTS timeline clip before). Those parts of the 0001.MTS clip in the timeline were Danger Striped and can be relinked but now have no edits anymore. The edits are apparently only linked with the original 0001.MTS source clip but extend beyond the actual range of the actual source clip. At the time I thought it was weird that premiere displayed the whole string of clips as one (with one name and no breaks) but it all works in the original project file but cannot be transferred to another location without multiple clips showing Danger Stripes.I need to move it and preserve the dozens of motion and opacity edits linked to the apparently oversized timeline clip. HELP!! any ideas?

Blog not displaying in Chrome...looks like prototype.js issue

Googling around, this looks like a Chromium issue, but I can't find anything newer than 2008. Looking at the code (line 604 in iWebSite.js), there is this:
{oTextBoxInnerDiv=oTextBoxOuterDiv.selectFirst("div.text-content");if(oTextBoxIn nerDiv)
In this case oTextBoxOuterDiv is an HTMLDivElement, not a prototype-enhanced DOM element, so selectFirst is not defined on it. Odd, though, that this works in all other browsers. In Firegox, oTextBoxOuterDiv is a prototype-enhanced DOM element, so it works.
Any ideas why Chrome acts this way?

LPX issues with LR, BFD, and the GUI looks like Garageband now...

I downloaded LPX a few days ago. Everything worked fine except BFD Eco, which is what I use almost exclusively for drum samples (primarily demo work at this stage).
I also bought an iPad Air per rave reviews of the LR app. Got that setup, and it worked, but as with other users on the forum here, it started to crash on me within moments of turning it on and pairing it with LPX. So I searched the forums and found someone who was advised to delete the .plist files under ~/Library/Preferences, then restart the machine. They were also advised to delete any old .plist files from a previous version of Logic, which I also did.
[Back story: I bought the AC7 Core app a couple years ago to try and perform transport functions from my iPhone. This app "tricks" logic into thinking it's a Mackie interface, so I figure that somewhere during the install, Logic got really confused about my using a Mackie controller which is interfering with my use of the iPad LR app. Other people are having the same issue... seems like a solid bet, right?]
So I deleted the following files:
com.apple.logic10.plist
com.apple.logic.pro.cs
com.apple.logic.pro.plist
And now LPX looks like Garageband. Check it out:
It has those crappy wood panel bars on the left and right, I don't have access to the mix window, I can only see channel strip plugins by using the inspector... this is weird! Which file did I delete that could have caused this? Or am I missing something else?
Additionally, LPX prompted me to download additional Drummer kits AFTER I went through the whole "download additional content" process, telling it to DL anything I didn't already have.
This was all a wild goose chase to reduce latency from my iPad Air to LPX. It can automate faders and sends fine, but playing drum pads and keyboard lines has a noticeable delay (about 50-100ms). So if anyone is willing to help fix the GUI, it would also be super nice if you could give me some pointers on reducing latency & improving stability with the LR.
In case anyone's interested, BFD Eco is still not functioning properly. Bought it in 2011 and apparently I need the 64-bit version. Purchased from fxpansion and now my machine can't find the install script file to actually upgrade my license. eesh.

To get out of GarageBand mode, open your preferences, go to the Advanced tab and be sure to tick "Show Advanced Tools."

CHANGING APPLE ID/EDIT ACCOUNT INFORMATION/CHANGE ITUNES COUNTRY
Tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in. Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2731?viewlocale=en_US
Go to settings/facetime and tap the ID there and log out and log in with new ID.
Go to settings/messages and turn off imessages wait 30 seconds and turn it back on, go to “receive messages at” tap on the ID there, sign out and sign in with new ID.
Go to settings/icloud and delete the account and when prompted select “keep information on your device” then turn it back on with the new ID.
To edit account information tap Settings / iTunes & App Stores / Apple ID: / View Apple ID
To change your iTunes Store country, sign in to the account for the iTunes Store region you would like to use, tap Settings/iTunes & App Store/Apple ID/View Apple ID/Country/Region

I've imported PowerBI designer file. so why do I keep getting 'It looks like you haven't added any data to this dashboard'

This might be related to my post about not being able to enter a column name in the where clause, and Q&A always using COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN.
Anyway, I took my original designer file, removed the first page of the report I dd, then added a new page, but this time with a visualisation of sales amount by product name. Saved the whole lot to a new pbix file, and uploaded it into the PowerBI
cloud. Pinned the visualsation to a dashboard, and started to enter a query.
Up pops the message 'It looks like you haven't added any data to this dashboard' etc, etc.
But, but, but I have uploaded the data. It's all in my pbix file. It seems that PowerBI usese the first column of my first dataset as the master for column names in the where clause. And if you do not have a visualisation that uses that column (i.e. COUNTRY_OF_ORIGIN
in my case) then Q&A doesn't think it has a dataset.
I am going to try some other tests to see if I can persuade PowerBI and Q&A to do its business properly.

The reset will not erase the virus but the reset can be done up to you.

I am very disappointed with this iMac. It is only 18 months old and this will be the third visit to the workshop. I had expected more from Apple and from their repair agents. Luckily I have AppleCare.

This happens to us all. There's nothing wrong with the source or the software- as you say, it's fine once imported.
I wouldn't worry about it

(P.s. It's definately not skipping frames as the exact same thing happens with FCE, and you'd definately know about it if frames were lost when using that program!)
