Cd's only play for a few seconds

I am so frustrated. Here we go, when I insert a cd it shows all songs complete, now when I go to burn them to my library only 20 to 22 seconds of that song appears. Help, Help

Video only plays for a few seconds, then freezes

The video, which I got from the apple website, plays fine in iTunes but once I upload it to the iPod it will only play for a few seconds before freezing and becoming nonresponsive. Is this a software problem? Anyone know of a solution? Thanks.

Here are more detailed instructions on how to go back to 1.0, espescially if you bought your iPod in the last couple of months and it came with 1.1.
First, please download the older version of the iPod Updater here...

Now install that updater and restart your computer.
Now open the iPod updater (Start-->all programs-->iPod and find the iPod updater you just installed
Open the iPod Updater and connect your iPod. With that older version of the iPod updater you just installed, restore your iPod by clicking restore.
The iPod will restore and go back to software version 1.0. Now reload everything back into iTunes.

Depending upon what country that you are in (music can't be re-downloaded in all countries) then try deleting that track from your iTunes library and redownload it via the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store home page on your computer's iTunes

Some songs only play for a few seconds.

I am having trouble with some mp3 songs that I have imported to my iTunes library. The songs play fine with other media players, but on iTunes a few songs only play the first few seconds. It only happens with a few songs. I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

See the start time and end time for the song. It is in "get info"->options
In other words check the properties of the songs to see if it is set to play only for a certain duration. When it plays you can always slide the scrub pad to play the other non-playing sections (section outside of the play-duration set int he options).

Songs imported into Itunes only play for a few seconds

I seem to have a problem with some of my songs in my library playing for a few seconds and then itunes jumps to the next song. I have played these songs before and they were fine. Once this happens once it always happens to a particular song. Anyone have any thoughts?

I think I might have found an answer - importing a folder and or Limewire!
Either Limewire mess's with the files, folder or your system or iTunes attempts to stop illegally downloaded files being played. iTunes might also do it if importing a lot of files in one go.
I imported a music folder that isn't mine from our home network drive that has a few tracks in it downloaded through Limewire. I re checked some of the files in Ableton Live and they are actually damaged! So I tried importing one of the Limewire tunes again individually after finding some info online (links to the pages at bottom) and the track plays no prob now. I also un-checked the "look for shared folders" in iTunes preferences.
For about 2 years now I haven't been able to import more than 3 files at a time which is why I imported a whole folder (about 50 tracks) just after the software update and C.D importing.
My concern is that importing a whole folder even without any Limewire downloads in it might well be treated this way by iTunes. Most of the tracks in our network drive folder that have been downloaded through Limewire are legit direct connect transfers from producer to producer or legit submitted tracks!

Video only plays for a few seconds, no sound, ALL BROWSERS

I have having that notorious problem that seems to originate from sometime in 2008. I found no recent reference to it, but that's irrelevant.
I have no sound in youtube/megavideo/any flash, and the video will only play for 2-3 seconds. This is the same for IE, and Opera.
Uninstalling via Adobes uninstallation tool and then reinstalling has not fixed this issue. I do not have Realplayer on this system, that I am aware. I am outof ideas. I am using Windows XP SP3, if any other information is relevant I'll post it.

Hi, well it sounds like something is certainly conflicting but exactly what can't be determined at this point. Confirming that you have the correct Flash Player files Installed would be the first thing to check. Go to C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash Open Flash and post back all files listed. NPSWF file(s) will need a right click and then click on Properties to obtain the version number(s).
Using IE, check in all add ons for Shockwave Flash Object...ActiveX Control..Flash10h.ocx. It should be listed that way and Enabled. It may include the vs # 10.1.53.64.
Using FF, check for the SWF vs 10.1.53.64 plug-in and it should be listed that way and Enabled.

Yes, assuming you are in a region where you are permitted to redownload your music purchases delete the copies of the corrupt tracks from your iTunes library, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
If the problem persists contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

I updated my flash player this morning to 11.9.900.170.
SInce i have updated my videos either only play for about 25 sec then stop. These are like 5 minute videos. It seems like they just stop buffering.
On youtube the videos that used to buffer very quickly a few days ago on the highest quality can now barely play on low settings.
I have tried to watch on mozilla and chrome. (both current versions)
I have tried:
- uninstalling and doing a clean install
-installing Flash Player 11.7.700.257, 11.9.900.152, and 11.7.700.252 (currently have 11.9.900.170 installed, issue occured under each version)
-the memory storage is set to 10mb
-uninstalled and reinstalled mozilla firefox
I have windows 7 64-bit

I wish I could provide you an answer, but I am experiencing the same issue myself. It's somehow iTunes related from what I have been able to figure out.
Here are a couple of clues I've picked up so far:
Somewhere between 20-30% of the songs in my library are affected.
I have only seen AAC encoded songs exhibit the problem (iTunes purchased, not imported).
I haven't seen the issue with any songs I bought after Jan 20, 2009.
Playing the same song file in quicktime doesn't reproduce the issue.
Affected songs skip on both iTunes and the iPod app of my iPhone 4 alike.
Forcing the song to stop at the end through the song options doesn't resolve the problem.
Songs skip (end) at random times from song to song, but repeatedly for each song at the same location.
The biggest clue that I've found is that when I find an affected file, almost all songs I purchased on that date exhibit the same problem. (I have only found a few examples when it does not affect every song on the same purchase date group.)
Some details about my setup:
Windows 7 Professional
iTunes version 10.6.3.25
iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1.1
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Chapters only play for a few seconds

I have created a DVD from iMovie 6 and iDVD 8. The chapter markers were created in iMovie, not iDVD. Whether you're viewing in iDVD or watching the movie after it's burned to disc, if you select a chapter (or scene), only a few seconds of the movie plays - then you are abruptly brought back to the scene selection menu.
I would like to be able to select any of the chapters (again, scenes) and have the movie begin at that chapter and play through to the end of the entire movie. Not sure what I've done but would truly appreciate a point in the right direction. Thanks.

Here are some suggestions. Try each of these one at a time
1. Perhaps the problem is within iMovie. Try deleting iMovie's preference file. Go to your username> library> preferences> com.apple.imovie.plist. Delete this file. I would then redo the chapter markers and proceed to iDVD.
2. Do a verify and repair of permissions using Disk Utility.
3. Open a new project in iDVD to see if the problem is repeated.
4. Recreate your project under a new account. If everything works fine, then the problem is in your account. Follow Old Toad's advice in this thread for dealing with issues such as yours.
