Cdaq-9178 slots showing empty

I have a cDAQ-9178 with the following (8) cards installed in order NI-9421, NI-9421, NI-9201, NI-9211, NI-9211, NI-9264, NI-9472, NI-9472. From my notebook running NI Max 14.0 everything works fine. But with the new PC installed on the Test Stand with DaqMX 15.0.1 installed, NI Max does not show the first four cards. I tried the Reset and Self Test but it still shows nothing. There is also a labview executable and when I browse for the channels, only the last four cards show up.
Any Ideas?

Have you tried to pull the modules out and inserting one at a time to see if they show up that way? Also, have you tried the cards that are not showing up in different slots?

4 Gigs of ram works great in my macbook, I noticed a huge speed increase even on boot, everything is much snappier than the original 1 gb.

G4 Titanium memory install but slot shows empty

Just installed 2 512 dims into my G$ Titanium but it only recognizes one. The bottom slots shows 512 MB but the top shows the slot as empty. Reinstalled again but still the same. Tried my old 256 MB in the upper slot and still empty. What could I be doing wrong? this upper slot has never been used.

If the RAM is correctly installed/seated, it sounds like you have a bad upper slot. Like any electronic part, it can just fail for unknown reasons.
Just to make sure, I would try just the original 256 in the upper slot (nothing in the lower slot), and also try one of the 512 DIMMs in the upper slot with nothing in the lower slot. It has been reported here that incompatible or faulty RAM can work in one slot but cause the other slot not to be recognized. It's not as likely, but if this is the cause, return the RAM for compatible RAM or a refund. If it turns out to be the slot, then you'll have to run on 512MB, as replacing the RAM slot means replacing the logic board, which would likely be cost prohibitive on a machine of that vintage.

Unable to read 5th channel using cDAQ 9178 with NI 9219 modules

I've made a VI for reading the measurements of a couple of LVDT sensors, a load cell and a couple of strain gauges. When I connect 4 of these sensors to my cDAQ 9178 with using 1 slot of NI 9219, then there is no problem for my VI. But if I use 2 modules, and connect the 2 LVDT sensors and the load cell to the first module, and the 2 strain gauges to the 2nd module, then my program only will show the readings of the first module and the readings of only 1 strain gauge on the 2nd module. I've found that there occurs an error for the 5th channel in the 'zero' state. It says my buffer size is too small... How can I solve this problem? I can't work with finite samples because it is a continious measurement.
I also have the cDAQ 9171 USB module, if I only connect 4 sensors to this module, the sample rate is high (100 Samples/sec), when I use the same configuration, but connect this with the cDAQ 9178, the sample rate is much lower however I use the same NI 9219 module to fill the slots. Is there some kind of setting I need to make when switching over to the cDAQ 9178?

When I use the cDAQ 9178, I always use the first 2 slots next to the power suply and the usb connection, you mean that I should try for example the 4th and the 5th slot or other slots? I will try this on Monday, and I will let you know.
About the states machines inside a state: How is it possible then to use several buttons, like start and stop measurement and the 'home' button inside the state "measurement"? Should I make another simple state machine inside this state?
What about that 5th channel that I'm unable to read? The problem happens in my "zero" state: to acquire my "zero elements", the loop does the job for the 5 channels for the first 8 samples, after that, it doesn't want to sample the 5 channels anymore, it only does for 4 channels... It's something about the buffer size, but I don't know how to fix that.

PFI Trigger with cDAQ-9178

I am trying to receive a trigger input with the PFI on a cDAQ-9178. Neither of the two PFI inputs show up as input options in any of the NI-DAQmx vi's in LabVIEW. How do I get the PFI inputs to show up?

If you use the DAQmx Start Trigger VI it will be listed in the trigger source input pulldown. See attached image.

Installed new ram. shows 'empty' in memory

Hi,
I installed a new 1GB ram in my ibook G4. It is not work right and i tried several things. then I realized that when I look under "about this mac" it shows that I only have the 256 built-in and the other slot is empty.
I retraced my steps and reinstalled the original ram but to the same result.

Did you make sure the socket was free of dust etc? I put a Kingston 1GB card in today, no problems. I first used the Hoover to suck out any dust that may have accumulated in the socket and surrounding circuit board. Be careful though not to dislodge anything by being clumsy. Make sure the pins of the card are lined up properly with the socket and push it in using the sides/corners of the card using an even pressure so it goes in squarely. Then use the side clips to secure it in place. The computer system info should then indicate 1.25GB RAM.

Show Empty Data

I hope there is anybody how could help me:
I create a Bex Query on EA Data (Account with same Key Figures) the Query is its based on a BPC Cube. In rows a only the account and in the columns are the key figures. Now not on all Account are values in the cube. I say in Bex Query that they should show Master Data. In Analyzer there are all accounts also the account without values in the cube.
In crystal I only see account with values. I use CR SP3 and integration Kit SP3. I set u201CShowEmptyDatau201D to True but nothing happened.
As second solution I create a formula in Bex with the value 1, take it in the columns but nothing happened in crystal I only see accounts with values in the cube.
I donu2019t know what I could do.
Second I had problems with the general connection of Bex and Crystal.
In the normal way I create a new report with the Sap Integration Kit Menue. What is the different between this way and the way with the crystal function new report and use a new MDX Connection. In booth ways with the same SAP System I get different connection parameters. Which way is the right way.
In addion if i set Show Empty Data to True, i get ask for the query variables and after it show empty data is set to false automaticly

Is it in BO 4.0 possible to use only Crystal Reports Designer (which Version?) and a BW System with the Integration KIT?? Like in XI3.1??
We only use Crystal Reports Designer with Integration KIT and the Integration KIT in the BW System. Is there an Integration KIT of BO 4.0 with transports for the BW System?
I couldn't believe that it is not possible in XI 3.1. I stay in contact with the SAP and then im really angry because in the documnentation there is the option listed.

IPod mini battery shows empty even after it charged for hours, but works?

i'm new to this, i borrowed someone's iPod mini and when battery ran out i put it to charge to my new macbook, charged for a few hours, lightning bolt showed all the while even if sometimes the indicator showed full and other times it showed that it was charging. now that i've disconnected it, it shows empty but it still works, can anyone help?
I read here http://www.vsa.cape.com/~danh/ipod.htm that this could happen, that the battery indicator could start showing full after 20 minutes... should i start panicking or not?

My trash can shows empty and other issues with it...

Ok basically, if i delete anything on my mac it should go to my trash can right?
Well i have a few problems with that as follows:
1. Everytime i delete something or move something to the trash it asks me to enter my password everytime, then deletes it, this never used to happen and now all of a sudden it does, this started just before the latest lion update and ive tried everything i know to stop it doing it but failed.
2. When i do delete something, the trash can shows empty on my desktop, and when i open the trash there is nothing inside, so im not able to restore anything if required, so basically if i move anything to trash it just gets permanently deleted instead of storing it in trash first, again this started just before the latest lion update.
I was hoping the update would fix this issue but didnt change it what so ever, i have also tried repairing disk permissions and still no change.
Any ideas on what i can do to fix these problems? Im still new to mac so i dont know all the ins and outs, but any help on this would be appreciated.

Boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

It's difficult to say whether it's stuck or not as the time to restore a backup can depend on many factors. You'll have to decide when you think it's just not continuing. You could try turning the phone off (hold the power button until you see the red off slider, then slide to turn off), then back on to see if that would get it going again.
When you're convinced it's just hung, you can go back to settings and tap Stop Restoring iPhone to stop the restore. You'll then have to try restoring it again (Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup). Be sure it's connected to your charger and wifi while it's restoring the backup.
You might also try the approach posted here by ezjules: https://discussions.apple.com/message/19518589#19518589. This seems to have worked for some people who had trouble restoring their photos from an iCloud backup.

Ipod shows empty.

Ipod shows empty, but space is still shown used. And everytime I connect my iPod, iTunes stops working. Please help.

It could be an indication or a damaged or dying hard drive. I would recommend doing a disk diagnostic on the iPod's HD using the instructions given by turingtest2 in this older thread. He also covers what the resulting numbers indicate.

What’s your account type using in Outlook? IMAP account or Exchange account?
Please make sure your Outlook 2013 is updated to the latest version. Then click Send/Receive > Send/Receive All Folders to manually download mailbox data files from mail server to Outlook data file. If it fails, please recreate the IMAP account in Outlook

Jdeveloper 10g 10.1.3.3 jdk 1.5.0_22 - shows empty main frame

Jdeveloper 10g 10.1.3.3 (OAF) with jdk 1.5.0_22 shows empty main frame
without any controls. But if I click on that frame in chaotic order the header text of main frame
is changing. It seems like controls are exists, but not visible.
If I use jdk 1.6 JDeveloper gives the next message

What is going wrong?

Using caption in Slideshow without showing empty or ""

I want to show text on selected individual slides in a slideshow . I know that I can use caption or title for this ( can I use either one or is there a preferred one ? ) .
However , not all the photos in the slideshow have captions, so for those without, it shows " < empty >" respectively 2 " ".
I want that there is nothing on the slide if there is no caption .
How can I do this ?

You are right, the EMPTY is not shown , but is still shows "" ( using the default caption and rating template ) .
So I cannot use it as intended , as I want to overlay the caption text over the photo.
Even when it has text , the markings at the beginnning and end have no reason to be there : " my text "
Is there a way to eliminate the "" marks ?
Is that an editable feature ?
