CDATA output Cocoon WLS 7.0

In alot of our xsl stylesheets we wrap xml and
javascript within !<CDATA[ xxxx tags
so that it is not parsed.
This has worked well for us with the output being
delivered successfully.
Using the new version of our web server, Weblogic 7.0,
this appears no longer to work and our CDATA sections
get interperted and changed to < xxxxx > tags !?!
What could be affecting this. Any ideas ?
e.g.
xsl code
<maintag></maintag>
<maintag></maintag>
output
<maintag></maintag>
<maintag></maintag>
output in previous version of web server
<maintag></maintag>

The left angle bracket (<) & the right angle bracket (>)may appear in
their literal form when used within a CDATA section.

hello,
I have a string in DB like this
%0 OF %1
i receive this string as result of HTTPService call and try to use this as text attribute of TextInput component. The problem is that flex cut and parts of my string.
I understand why it happens, but if there is any ways to prevent Flex to cut this parts.
thanks.

• Standalone WLS server instance deployment failure - missing ADFLogger

I was hoping somebody could help me please with issues of installing ADF JDev 11g apps to separate WLS server instances (ie. not Admin Server) and the ADFLogger class.
I've successfully configured a separate standalone WLS, installed the ADF Runtime Libraries and deployed/run an ADF JDev 11g app to the server under the default AdminServer.
We encountered one issue with deployment regarding the ADFApplicationLifecycleListener class which is addessed in the following forum post with the documented workaround of removing ADFApplicationLifecycleListener from the weblogic-application.xml file: Standalone WLS deployment failure - incorrect weblogic-application.xml
Next we want to deploy to a separate server instance/machine on the standalone WLS (we have the eventual requirement of deploying our apps to a WLS cluster, so we're experimenting with configuring separate WLS server instances+machines).
I've created via the Admin Server a new separate server instance (say ADFServer) on a separate WLS machine (say ADFMachine) within my standalone WLS. I've configured the separate WLS server instance to run on a different port from the default Admin Server port. In addition for the 3 deployed libraries jsf, jstl and oracle.adf.domain, via selecting them in the Admin Console under Deployments, then the Target tab, I've also "targetted" (read: deployed) these 3 libraries to the new server instance so they reside both on the Admin Server and ADFServer.
However when I redeploy my original application via JDeveloper's Application Menu -> Deploy option, on deployment to the ADFServer directly I receive the exception at the bottom of this post. The relevant error message:
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: oracle/adf/share/logging/ADFLogger
This class is included in numerous ADF Runtime Libraries, and I would expect that once I targetted the oracle.adf.domain library for both Admin Server and ADFServer, the relevant ADFLogger class should be available (and given the fact I've run the application successfully on the standalone WLS under the Admin Server, it proves the library is available).
The missing ADFLogger library seems to be a reoccuring theme for application server deployments, in particular OC4J. This is the first time I've seen it broached for WLS when using the ADF Runtime Libraries and haven't found much assistance via the OTN forums, Google searches etc.
Does anybody know what I've configured incorrectly on my standalone WLS such that the ADFLogger is not configured for the separate WLS server instance? (I suspect I'll have to try the WLS forum too, but lets start here).
Any help appreciated.
Thanks & regards,
CM.

I do start it by commandline since I only have the AdminServer, and no other nodes. Below is my startWeblogic.sh and setDomainEnv.sh scripts under medrec/bin directory. I don't see any modifications to them for ADF. Also, after extending the domain, the oracle.adf.domain library shows up in my deployments page and is pointing to "/ u01/ app/ oracle/ product/ wls/ jdeveloper/ modules/ oracle. adf. model_11. 1. 1/ adf. oracle. domain. ear". It seems like the extending step is missing a step to give access to all the libraries?

• Error using eclipse from oepe with weblogic 12.1

I have written a very simple jsp and have tried to run it on the eclipse. I cannot start the server as it says jdk1.7_0_9 is unexpected. I have used the new server wizard, i believe, correctly and have tried to the path to java-home without spaces.
Can anybody help?
quick note:
this is how my setDomainEnv looks like:
@ECHO OFF
@REM WARNING: This file is created by the Configuration Wizard.
@REM Any changes to this script may be lost when adding extensions to this configuration.
@REM *************************************************************************
@REM This script is used to setup the needed environment to be able to start Weblogic Server in this domain.
@REM
@REM This script initializes the following variables before calling commEnv to set other variables:
@REM
@REM WL_HOME - The BEA home directory of your WebLogic installation.
@REM JAVA_VM - The desired Java VM to use. You can set this environment variable before calling
@REM this script to switch between Sun or BEA or just have the default be set.
@REM JAVA_HOME - Location of the version of Java used to start WebLogic
@REM Server. Depends directly on which JAVA_VM value is set by default or by the environment.
@REM USER_MEM_ARGS - The variable to override the standard memory arguments
@REM passed to java.
@REM PRODUCTION_MODE - The variable that determines whether Weblogic Server is started in production mode.
@REM DOMAIN_PRODUCTION_MODE
@REM - The variable that determines whether the workshop related settings like the debugger,
@REM testconsole or iterativedev should be enabled. ONLY settable using the
@REM command-line parameter named production
@REM NOTE: Specifying the production command-line param will force
@REM the server to start in production mode.
@REM
@REM Other variables used in this script include:
@REM SERVER_NAME - Name of the weblogic server.
@REM JAVA_OPTIONS - Java command-line options for running the server. (These
@REM will be tagged on to the end of the JAVA_VM and
@REM MEM_ARGS)
@REM
@REM For additional information, refer to "Managing Server Startup and Shutdown for Oracle WebLogic Server"

• Using EJB with Hibernate on Weblogic Server ADF platform

Hi all,
We use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.4 and WLS 10.3
I tried to use Hibernate on my project according to this link well, EJB with Hibernate On Weblogic
I wanto use Hibernate tool because toplink and eclipselink can not achieve the issue about generating update* ddl on schema, they can just only re-create the tables -not real update.
Firstly i got the related jars from internet: http://www.2hotfile.com/di-LSBU.png
cglib-2.2
antlr-2.7.6
commons-collections-3.1
dom4j-1.6.1
hibernate3
hibernate-validator-4.1.0.Final
javassist-3.9.0.GA
jta-1.1
slf4j-api-1.5.11
slf4j-nop-1.5.11
Then i added to model project as library dependencies: http://www.2hotfile.com/di-GMSZ.png
configured persistence.xml as below:

<persistence xmlns="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence"
xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
xsi:schemaLocation="http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence http://java.sun.com/xml/ns/persistence/persistence_2_0.xsd"
version="1.0">
<persistence-unit name="VakkoEJBModel" transaction-type="RESOURCE_LOCAL">
<provider>org.hibernate.ejb.HibernatePersistence</provider>
<jta-data-source>jdbc/VakkoDS</jta-data-source>
<properties>
<property name="hibernate.jndi.url" value="t3://127.0.0.1:7001" />
<property name="hibernate.connection.datasource" value="jdbc/VakkoDS" />
<property name="hibernate.transaction.manager_lookup_class" value="org.hibernate.transaction.WeblogicTransactionManagerLookup" />
<property name="hibernate.dialect" value="org.hibernate.dialect.Oracle10gDialect" />
<property name="hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto" value="update" />
<property name="hibernate.current_session_context_class" value="jta" />
</properties>
</persistence-unit>

</weblogic-ejb-jar>
ejb-jar.xml

<ejb-jar/>
And i added to setDomainEnv.cmd that line:

@REM This script is used to setup the needed environment to be able to start Weblogic Server in this domain.
@REM
@REM This script initializes the following variables before calling commEnv to set other variables:
@REM
@REM passed to java.
@REM PRODUCTION_MODE - The variable that determines whether Weblogic Server is started in production mode.

• Admin server not running

Hello,
We are using wls 10.3.3 located in different unix machine. Using putty we work with the servers from the desktop computers. We want to monitor the JVM using Jrockit mission control from desktop. We have JRMC installed in the Windows XP desktop(JRockit Mission Control 3.1.0 (R27.6.3-40_o, 112101)). I tried to connect the JVM to JRMC using the steps in the below links.
http://weblogicserveradministration.blogspot.com/2010/10/monitoring-using-jrmc-remotely.html
http://multikoop.blogspot.com/2009/11/wls-monitoring-oracle-jrockit-jvm-with.html
And restarted the AdminServer after performing the steps, but we are not sure whether we have edited the JAVA_OPTIONS in the correct place. However the AdminServer did not start. It said the Java Virtual Machine cannot be started. Now we removed the edited settings in startWeblogic.sh file and made the file as before. And restarted the AdminServer, but the Adminserver did not start and showd below error message.

Hi, where exactly in the file I need to change the settings : oracle/Middleware_1033/user_projects/domains/dev_domain/./config/jps-config.xml . I might have changed the script startWeblogic.sh, but I undo the changes again, since then my admin server is not starting. Kindly help. I am not sure which script I need to change and in that script which location I have to edit?
I have used below link for help(under the section L.3.4 Other Causes), still I am not able to find anything useful from the link.

• Problem starting servers with nodemanager

Hi,
I'm following the Oracle By Example:
[http://www.oracle.com/technology/obe/fusion_middleware/wls103/InstallConfig/admin_mngd_srvr/admin_ms_using_nm.htm]
I have installed on Windows (not on Linux), but that shouldn't make much difference.
Now look at what I got on Step 10 of the OBE:

Now when I go back to my admin console, I don't see dizzy1 server RUNNING, it has status SHUTDOWN. Screen refresh doesn't help either.

The server dizzy1 has been configured with Listen Port 7003 and SSL Listen Port 7004. Both are not in the checkports.log.
What I did see in my nodemanager.log was:
Domains file not found: D:\oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\common\NODEMA~1\nodemanager.domains, this is strange, because the file is really there.
And when I try to start server dizzy1, the Console gives the

- Warning All of the servers selected are currently in a state which is incompatible with this operation or are not associated with a running Node Manager or you are not authorized to perform the action requested. No action will be performed.

• Problems connecting to Oracle 11g R1 RAC

Hi everybody
In my factory we hava a web aplication called Matrix one that is connected to an oracle database 11g. This aplication uses Weblogic 9.2.3 to load the web pages. Until now we had an oracle running in one server, but now we have put an oracle rac system. The application works fine with this new situatin, but there ar parts of the system that don´t work. We have made our own applicatons that use thin jdbc driver to connect to database, but now when we connected to the rac sometimes the connection is established well but most of times the conecction failed. The error that weblogic returns is "connection refused".
I´ve modified the startweblogic.cmd to use the las jdbc driver but the result is the same. My connection is the folloowing:
Connection conn = null;
String cadenaConexion = "";
try{
OracleDataSource ods = new OracleDataSource();
ods.setUser(user);
ods.setPassword(Pass);
cadenaConexion = "jdbc:oracle:thin:@(DESCRIPTION=";
cadenaConexion = cadenaConexion + "(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=" + Server1 +")(PORT=1521))";
cadenaConexion = cadenaConexion + "(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=" + Server2 +")(PORT=1521))";
cadenaConexion = cadenaConexion + "(LOAD_BALANCE=on)";
cadenaConexion = cadenaConexion + "(CONNECT_DATA=(SERVER=dedicated)(SERVICE_NAME="+Service_Name+")";
cadenaConexion = cadenaConexion + "(FAILOVER_MODE=(TYPE=Select)(METHOD=basic)(RETRIES=180)(DELAY=5))))";
ods.setURL(cadenaConexion);
return con;
}catch (Exception e){

Sorry for my English.

I´ve tried to use the Oci driver but then the error is diferent "java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no ocijdbc9 in java.library.path".OCI requires a Oracle shared library (nothing to do with java.)
returns is "connection refused".Which suggests a network problem. Given that you have added at least one new box to your network, how it was added would be the problem. Such as if a network infrastructure box is having an intermittent failure.

Hi,
The --component flag is missing.
Solution
Use the following command for Archiving Logs by File Size:
beectl> modify_property --component CURRENTsite:LoggingProperties name MaxFileSize value <log_file_size>
or
Use the following command for Archiving Logs by Directory Size:
beectl> modify_property --component CURRENTsite:LoggingProperties name MaxLogSize value <log_directory_size>

I can not see main class weblogic.jar file in your class path.
Under MW_HOME there is a file by name configure.cmd/sh, run it to set acl and class path. Then try to start weblogic server. U can edit the startWeblogic.sh/cmd so that every time it will execute after calling configure.sh/cmd file.

• RDBMS Security realm 6.1-8.1 migration

I am trying to migrate a RDBMS security realm from WLS6.1 to WLS8.1.
Having followed the instructions in http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/upgrade/upgrade6xto81.html#1066711
I am now able to boot WLS8.1 and see encouraging signs such as the 'Compatibility
Security' node appearing in the left-hand console pane. The contents of the Users
and Groups nodes visible under this node look correct (ie as defined in the underlying
database).
However, to get to this point I had to initially hardwire the values for the database
driver, url, user and password as these were null when obtained from the associated
RDBMSRealmMBean object, causing the server to fail to start. This enabled me
to bootstrap the process so that I could use the console to enter these values
on the Database tab for the Realm I had defined for Compatibility Security. I
see no mention of this step in the instructions referred to above and therefore
missed out this vital step.
When WLS8.1 starts it displays:
<date&time> <Notice> <Security> <BEA-090082> <Security initializing using security
realm myrealm.>
myrealm is a Realm listed under Security but I would have expected the realm to
be the specially-defined realm associated with Compatibility Security. So, question
number 1 - does this output from WLS indicate that it is using the Compatibility
Security realm or the default realm?
Although the console displays the expected set of users and groups , my application
is failing to associate a user with a 'role' - the Groups node shows that user
U is in group G but when the application invokes the SessionContext method isCallerInRole(String
role) where the caller is U and the role is G the result of the invocation is
false. Question number 2 - why does this not return true in this case?
Note, this code (that I have inherited) worked fine in WLS6.1 and the only significant
change I needed to make for WLS8.1 is in the wrapper classes, in particular the
code to get the required RDBMSRealmMBean. Having now successfully got hold of
this object I would have expected the rest of the code to work fine (ok, 'expected'
is a bit optimisitic - but I'm not aware that there are any functional differences
beyond obtaining the RDBMSRealmMBean object).
Many thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

I wasn't involved in the original WL6.1 code development but this is based on
the example code that BEA provide with the WLS6.1 installation - it should therefore
be visible at ~bea/wlserver6.1/samples/examples/security/rdbmsrealm

I am trying to do the same thing and can not find which RealmClassName
to use
in 8.1. In our previous version, 6.1, I was using com.bea.wlpi.rdbmsrealm.RDBMSRealm.
What is the mapping
Java class in 8.1? Thanks.

• Save whole XML file in SQL table field

Hi All,
I want to save whole XML message in sql table field which is with datatype XML(.).. how can i achieve this.
Thanks in advance.

I did a prototype to do what you are asking. I actually haven't inserted into the xml data type in SQL Server before, so I was curious if that added any complexity. I'll just go through the mapping pieces and assume that you can easily find documentation
on how to insert data into SQL Server using the Add Generated Items --> Consume Adapter Service function.
The interesting piece was writing the map. I used a simple PO schema. My sample table was XmlRepository with a ID column, RepositoryID, and the RawXml field.
The script is an inline XSLT script that is as follows:
<xsl:element name="ns3:RawXml">
<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes"><![CDATA[</xsl:text>
<xsl:copy-of select="/" />
<xsl:text disable-output-escaping="yes">]]></xsl:text>
</xsl:element>
The questoin right off is why the CDATA? Well, since the value of the RawXml element that needs to be inserted into SQL Server is XML data, it has to be wrapped in a CDATA tag. Otherwise, the XML data gets validated and will not properly make it to the SQL
Server. You can try it and see what I mean. Don't worry, the CDATA gets stripped before the XML gets written to the table.
The interesting piece are the xsl:text elements, which manually create a CDATA wrapper for the XML that ends up in the RawXml field. Apparently, the normal Grid Property for creating CDATA output doesn't work in conjunction with the xsl:copy-of function.
That tripped me up for a while!
What the map outputs is a document that looks like the following:
<ns0:Insert xmlns:array="http://schemas.microsoft.com/2003/10/Serialization/Arrays" xmlns:ns3="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/Types/Tables/dbo" xmlns:ns0="http://schemas.microsoft.com/Sql/2008/05/TableOp/dbo/XmlRepository">
<ns0:Rows>
<ns3:XmlRepository>
<ns3:RawXml>
<ns0:PurchaseOrder xmlns:ns0="http://XmlRepositoryDemo.PurchaseOrder">
<PONumber>PONumber_0</PONumber>
<CustomerNumber>CustomerNumber_0</CustomerNumber>
<PODate>PODate_0</PODate>
<Items>

<ProductID>ProductID_0</ProductID>
<Quantity>Quantity_0</Quantity>
<Price>Price_0</Price>

</Items>
</ns0:PurchaseOrder>
</ns3:RawXml>
</ns3:XmlRepository>
</ns0:Rows>
</ns0:Insert>
The map can be called from a simple Orchestration, or even a messaging-only scenario, and sent across the wire in a request/reply as you would for normally sending data to SQL Server.
I hope this helps. It ended up being more interesting than I expected!
