CDC Comms Interface Drivers

I have an E90 Communicator, which I use to connect to the internet on my PC via a USB cable. It all worked fine with XP, but after upgrading to Vista, I am unable to connect. The latest version of PC suite says that there is no modem found, and Vista keeps asking for CDC Comms Interface drivers, which I cannot locate. I have tried everything I know - using the version of PC suite that worked with XP, uninstalling and reinstalling... etc.
The handset is seen by XP, I can do everything except connect to the net.
Please can someone help me before I have a mini-meltdown?

Hi, I'm sorry if I do mistakes - I'm Polish . I have a Nokia 6120. I had the same problem, after update to 6.86 version. Previous version worked properly.
I solved this problem (at least on my Windows XP)
Do this:
1. Uninstall all Nokia Software (Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver and PC Suite)
2. Restart
3. Download newest Nokia PC Suite from: http://europe.nokia.com/A4144905
4. Download the old version of Cable Driver from: http://rapidshare.com/files/108946848/Nokia_Connectivity_Cable_Driver_rel_6_85_10_0_eng.msi.html
5. Install PC Suite (don't connect phone)
6. Restart
7. Close all PC Suite programs (e.g. Nokia Synchro, PC Suite)
8. Go to Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
9. Uninstall Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
10. Restart
11. Install old version of Cable Driver you downloaded
12. Now connect phone to PC
13. Everything should work now.
Again sorry if I do mistakes. I hope you understand I'm Polish.

  • Nokia n95 8gb CDC COMMS ERROR - FAILED DRIVER INST...

Hi, If anyone could put this demon to rest I would be greatly appreciated.
I have been using my NOKIA N95 8GB for over a year with my computer, that runs Wondows Vista. A few months back I discovered that My phone would no longer connect to the computer in Windows Media Player Sync mode. I then found this was true of all connections except PCSUITE. Even though it does connect in pc suite mode, the computer states that it is installing the drivers for the phone,a nd then opens a little windows in the task tray where it says all the things it is installing. Eventually everything except two things are installed. CDC COMMS, and COM16
If I attach the phone in any other connection other than PCSUITE My phone makes an unhealthy fast usb connection tone, and does not seem to resgister. If i go into Device Manager I can see the computer does realise the phone is there but has a yellow exclamation mark next to it. The phone does not show up in Windows Media Player, or in My Computer as a secondary hardrive as it should.
This problem has now been apparent with two different phones, Vodafone sent me a new product to check if it was the phone itself. I checked the phone on my mum's computer and it seems to work fine, I can install all drivers and The phone registers in pc suite and media player.
its a pain having to go back and forth between my mother's house however so any help would be really appreaciated here. Either write on here or email me at
    Thankyou so much

Since you narrow it down the probllem to your pc/laptop why not have your pc/lapto scan for virus/malware from the net. If the problem still persist then have a clean re- install of the os & do a restore of your backup.

  • Dealer Commissions interface file

    Hi,
I got a requirement like Process the input interface file from Dealer Commissions to enter GL info into SAP by formatting BDC records which are to be used by transaction F-02 in a batch mode.
can any ony one explain me what is the requirement actually??.
    logic is mentioned that
    1)process input file
    2)load work table ....etc.
can any one help me in this.

There are standard programs for uploading/interfacing into the F-02/FB01 transactions.
You have the choice of standard BDC program from SAP - rfbibl00
    or class method AcctngGLPosting.Post
    or class method AcctngDocument.Post
    or bapi BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST
The rfbibl00 program uses the batch mode (sm35).

  • Scrubbing PC Suite from Vista PC?

    Hi,
I have a machine which was running the out of the box PC Suite CD fine, Have upgraded to Vista SP1 on Ultimate (32bit), and since then am having trouble with the N95 8GB being able to be recognised and install the drivers.
I have uninstalled all the Nokia software, and then used both the CD version (uninstalled after) and the new PC Suite N Series software, but it still wont work, and am getting errors that the HW is not recognised, or not meant for this platform.
One thing which does come up on occasion is that wdc01005.dll is corrupt or not working. I have also checked that, and found one with an earlier date, substituted that in to no effect.
What I want to do (as the Nokia software does not appear to do it itself... something to Note Nokia, you leave a lot of debris on uninstall!) is scrub the machine of everything Nokia and install onto the machine from the CD or download version from scratch as I think its got a mishmass of driver versions on there which are not visible from Control Panel...
Is there a Nokia cleanup tool which will do that?
Any advice welcomed as I think the N85 is a brilliant phone and use many of its functions, but not being able to use it as One Touch Access packet data USB modem is driving me up the wall...!
    TIA
    Martin

  • Nokia 5800 problem with drivers windows 7 32-bit

Hi, i have problem with drivers for 5800 in windows 7, all drivers except modem and cdc comms work, how can i update drivers for that, i have installed lates nokia suite 3.3 and newest cable drivers, i try drivers 6.x but then my 5800 is not recognized, what is the solution?

    Hi:
You can use the W7 x64 drivers from the 250 G2 support page.  They have the 32 bit driver files too.
That would be for all but the graphics if your G2 has a Pentium or Celeron processor.
If your notebook has one of those processors, then download, unzip and run the graphics driver setup exe file from the link below.

  • Javax comm 2.0 API

    Hello everyone.
Do anyone of you know why the new version of comm api (version 3.0) does not support Windows? It is only available for Solaris SPARC, Solaris x86, and Linux x86.
Therefore, I can only use comm 2.0. But my problem is that although I have managed to connect a GPS device with my desktop, I can not do that with my laptop or a different desktop pc that I have tried.
The problem is that the application that I have developed can not find the COM port that I describe.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks a lot

RXTX is an open source javax.comm 2.x compatible package with multi platform support. I use it on all of WinXP/CE, Linux, FreeBSD, OSX and it works like a charm for parallel, serial and serial to USB devices (for GPRS modems and GPS devices specifically). RXTX is nicely abstracted also so you don't specifically need to use anything but the javax.comm interface unless you want to use one of the API extensions (for example clearCommInput() which is a very obvious omission in the javax.comm api - skip() just does not cut it).
The code itself is not well documented - for the most part you can use the javax.comm documentation or just read the source - but it works, and works very well. Even if the heuristics in the RXTXCommDriver don't automatically find the device (you can check the sources as to why) you can add devices at runtime with CommPortIdentifier.addPortName() if needed.

  • K8N Neo Platinum with Nvidia Unified Audio Drivers

Hi, I have two hard drives in my PC. I'm testing out the feasibility of me running X64 at the moment. I have newly installed X64 Windows XP on one new 2nd drive and used  5-5_xp64_dd_cp.exe for my ATI 9800 pro card with no problems. Then I have installed the nForce_6.25_WinXP64_international.exe audio drivers for my on board Realtek AC97 because i have heard they are better than the Realtek drivers themselves and the Nvmixer utility looks good. Ok, no problems.
I was so impressed with the X64 Nvidia drivers that I have decided in the meantime to replace the Realtek drivers with Nvidia ones on my 1st drive that has already got Windows XP Pro installed on it. So I uninstalled the Realtek and replaced them with these nForce_5.10_WinXP2K_WHQL_english.exe unified audio drivers.
But, for some reason, they dont work. As I understand, the Nforce 5.10 are unified drivers and should replace the original Realtek ones i had installed on my 1st drive. I see no speaker icon on my taskbar and when i click to open nvmixer on my programs list, a message appears stating it cannot open as there is no nvidia compatible sound hardware present in my machine. I already know this is not the case as the X64 Nvidia drivers work for my X64 installation on the 2nd drive.
Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

The sound quality on those compared to the 4.57 standalone nvidia (that has its own version of the realtek AC97 codec and updated interface drivers)  is not as good. Theres a long thread on here if you search for it for peoples opinions.

Shovon, the latest AC97 drivers from www.msicomputer.com will work perfectly for the K8N Neo2 Platinum
I currently have thwm running and have no problems
Go to that website, put the cursor over the 'Support' header and a drop down menu appears.
    Click on Downloads.
Scroll down till you see the mother board K8N Neo2 Platinum(under the main heading Slot 939/K8)
Click on the link, and you'll come to the drivers page.
The Listed AC97 drivers that are the latest are there.

  • Which GPIB-USB Interface to Buy?

Other than for the great support on this forum (!), why should I buy a GPIB-USB-B instead of an Agilent 82357A? My application is general-purpose lab use.
    Steve

The GPIB-USB-B supports both NI-488.2 and NI-VISA APIs. The Agilent 82357A only supports the VISA API. National Instruments has done quite a bit of work to ensure that the GPIB-USB-B driver maintains backwards compatibility with previous NI-488.2 interface drivers. We have also done extensive testing with LabVIEW. With the GPIB-USB-B, you'll have the luxury of selecting from a wide range of programming environments and APIs.

  • Configuring sensor interface on 4250-XL

Tried CISCO IDS sensor 4250-XL with the following 4 interfaces:
    Int0- ethernet
Int1- ethernet -- command and control interface
    Int2- fiber
    Int3- fiber
Can we use Int0 (ethernet) interface as the sensoring interface? Whenever I tried to add it to sensoring group 0 in the Device Manager or command line, it fails:
    TDC-4250-IDS-1# conf t
    TDC-4250-IDS-1(config)# int group 0
    TDC-4250-IDS-1(config-ifg)# sen
    TDC-4250-IDS-1(config-ifg)# sensing-interface int0
Error: int0 is not a valid sensing interface
    TDC-4250-IDS-1(config-ifg)#
    IDS version is 4.0
    Attached is the sh tech

Versions 4.0 and 4.1 do not let you monitor the int0 interface when you have the XL card installed.
This is because the XL card is an accelerator card that needs a special driver and kernel for monitoring. When the XL card is installed the system will detects it's presence and automatically load that special driver and use the special kernel settings. The special driver and settings won't work for int0.
Now if you want to monitor with int0 and not the int2 or int3 interfaces, then there is an option with version 4.0 and 4.1. You can physically remove the XL card, and the sensor will detect the removal and load the standard driver and use the standard kernel settings and the int0 interface can then be monitored just like with a standard IDS-4250-TX box.
Because of requests like yours, this was changed in version 5.0 (and 5.1). The interface drivers and kernel settings were consolidated for the standard TX interfaces and the special XL interfaces. So in version 5.0 you can now monitor the standard copper ethernet as well as the XL interfaces at the same time.
But do be aware that the performance gains when using the interfaces on the XL card will not be seen for monitoring on the copper ethernet interface of the main board. The acceleration is built directly into the fiber ethernet ports themselves.
