CDG-01281 occurs when using qmsolb65.olb in designer 6i

Hi all
I'm using Designer 6i (6.5.94.3.13) with headstart 6.5.2.1 and i'm facing a similar problem to the one described into the bug 1354393. This has to do with the fact that a master block is generated on a new content canvas and its detail block generated on a new tab canvas.
Even if I delete the CGSO$BLOCK.cg$block_info item, the generator still hangs with the CDG-01281 error and no way to workaround this.
While trying to get a better scope of this problem, I found that if you delete the CGSO$ITEMS.check_box item, it generates fine even if no check box is found in the module
Does anybody have already encountered this problem ?

I found this item when trying to find a answer on a simular situation I'm just facing with. I try to generate a form with a header block, beneath that tabbed canvases on each there have to be details rows (multi row) with beneath this again a tabbed canvas with details info of the row:

(yehyeh, I didn't design this, I'm just the maintainer ;-)
When generating with the standard olb I get the CDG-01281 error.
Adapting the olb CGSO$BLOCK_MR.QMS$BLOCK_INFO and setting it to visible YES just generates the form okay but the multirow becomes 1 row with displaying the item QMS$BLOCK_INFO in front of it.
Has anyone an idea to solve this? If it can be solved.....

We are migrating an application for a client. The application needs to be migrated to designer 6i and is currently build in designer 6.0. The client also uses headstart 50 libraries such the qmsolb50.olb. The problem is, when generating forms containing tab-pages and qmsolb50 as object library we get error CDG-01281: Forms binary file has not been created. But when using the standard Oracle object library is used (ofgwebol.olb) the form is generated but the layout is messed up.
What must we do to correctly use the qmsolb50 object library? Are we missing some entries? The form generates normally from designer 6.0 with the same qmsolb50.olb.

You might run into bug 1354393. This has to do with the fact that a previous version (headstart 6i beta patch 13)of the headstart object library block cgso$block contained an item qms$block_info.
When we deleted this item, we were able to generate the form with headstart object library as well.
Could you try to apply this workaround?

Found a much simpler workaround! In object library maintenance form
qmsolm65.fmb, set Visible property of cgso$block.qms$block_info to Yes. Then
re-create qmsolb65.olb object libary. Form will now generate.
Since this is the second problem we have found in Headstart related to having
a hidden item in cgso$block, for Headstart 6i I am eliminating this item.
In the meantime, use this workaround for Headstart 6i beta and for Patch 13.

What problems to expect when using qmsolb65?

Hi,
What problems can I expect when using qmsolb65.olb with designer 6i and still use qmsevh50, qmslib50 and templates of designer 6.0? Do I need to upgrade the templates as well?
The libraries qmsevh50 and qmslib50 can not be upgraded due to the fact that the customer has added and altered some functionality in these libraries.
Please, I need answers in short term as the project is fixed date.

The Headstart 6i Migration Guide, Chapter 5 Incremental Upgrade provides some detailed information on what exactly has changed between version 5.0 and 6.5. I think you might be able to use the qms*50.pll libraries with 6i, but I doubt you will be able to use the templates of Designer 6.0 with qmsolb65.olb.

There must be some data issue.
Just try to create the Inspection plan without BAPI i.e. using the transaction for the data you have and see whats happening.

How can I prevent a memory flow error from occuring when using 3D contour plots?

After displaying a single contour plot a number of times, LabVIEW crashes and reports a memory overflow error. I only load a single 2D array, never storing previouls ones. I always index the data for contour plot 0, and don't explicitly store multiple 2D arrays in any buffer, such as appending data to a shift register. Is this in the LabVIEW development environment? Are you making changes to the code and then running the VI? Does the plot contain default data? Is the indicator cleared when the program stops? The Plot Clean Data method may be what you're looking for.
Remember that the development environment maintains an undo history of the changes you've made, and copies both the block diagram and FP contents each time. If you have a lot of data displayed on the front panel you end up copying it multiple times. This isn't a problem unless you're actively editing the VI in question.
If you do need to edit and run the VI at the same time (perfectly reasonable, although you might want to consider a 64-bit installation or more RAM if you commonly work with resource-intensive data types like 3D plots) try reducing the Undo history length (Tools>>Options), although be aware that you won't be able to back up as many steps.

TNS-12666 error occures when using database link

When I am trying to use database link
defined in my database the following error occures:
TNS-12666 Dedicated server: outbound transport protocol different from inbound.
In documentation is stated to resolve such an error to
specify the same protocol in the SQL*Net connect string or alias for the outbound connection as that used for the inbound connection.
I have in tnsnames.ora defined network service name
by which I can connect to such a database by SQL*Plus
without any problems, why can I not do such a thing
via database link?

Runtime error occurs when using DropdownByKey

I run into a runtime error when I use the DropDowByKey with fixed value set: the value seletedKey = "001" in DropDownByKey "DDBK_APP_STATE" does not exist in the value list and is not initial either. But I have already added the value pair of the selectedKey using

REP-50134 occurs when using the submit button on the Reports Parameter Form

Good Morning,
I get the "REP-50134: Cache subitem reports does not exist" error after clicking on the Submit Button from a Reports parameter form.
I am using Forms/Reprots 9i.
Using the source code given in the Whitepaper 'Oracle Forms Services - Using Run_Report_Object() to call Reports with a parameter form', all works well when paramform=no, but when I have a Form print a report with paramform=yes, the parameter form appears correctly, but generates the error after clicking the Submit Button.
Any inputs as to causation or possible places to look to solving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at this I suspect my problem is related to this setting. I am trying to follow all the instructions in the White Papers but they are a little confusing as they are not all exactly the same. Each attempts to explain a specific functionality without regards to the whole.
For instance I believe I need to have the variables P_ACTION, P_USER_CONNECT and P_SERVER_NAME in the report being called and then add a Before Parameter Form trigger to reset the values. But this seems to duplicate and override what has already been sent via the REPORT_OTHERS property. It is a tad bit confusing.
Can you confirm?

Error occurred when using db link in procedure

The ORDER_QUEUE on O9IPRD.WORLD is a synonym that points to the real table.
The way that happen is that we have Oracle 10g. The business logic needs to use Oracle 8.1.5 database. Oracle10g cannot talk to Oracle8.1.5. We created an Oracle 9i database having the synonym that points to the real table of Oracle 8.1.5.
I am wondering why I can get the result in SQL but failed to get procedure work.

Error occured when using flash 9 in firefox

I installed Flash CS3 Professional (trial) for doing
assignment. After that, I think flash player also be upgraded to
version 9. It's no problem in IE, but when browsing website with
using firefox, it keeps pop up windows which ask
"Where is the debugger or host application running?", you can
choose localhost or other machine. Actually, i run it in my hom pc,
so it should be "localhost".After keep answering the same
question(it seems be asked for each flash), then it pop up "A
connection to the Debugger or Profiler cound not be established by
Adobe Flash Player 9."

Exception occurs when using customize Rolemapper with RoleReader for WLS814

Hi All,
IHAC, who had a 3rd security product to store their users, gourps and roles. and ask us to build up a PoC to make sure WLP can use the external roles. And one of the features is that external roles could be showed under "Global Roles" in the WLS console.
After i made a research on SSPI, i found what i need is a RoleMapper provider with "RoleReader" implementation. So I added RoleReader implementation into the SimpleSampleRoleMapperProvider(http://dev2dev.bea.com/codelibrary/code/security_prov81.jsp), compiled and delployed it, everything is ok.
But when i clicked "Global Roles", it only shows the roles from DefaultRoleMapper, none from SimpleSampleRoleMapperProvider, and i got the following exception in the console window.
What did i miss in implementing this provider? Any comment are welcome come!
Or could anybody give a sample to show me how to develop a RoleMapper provider with RoleReader.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I think we are trying to solve the same problem:
-Get roles for a user from an external system.
-List all roles available in the global roles section of the console.
In my case, it appears that both of these components together enable using the portal administrator console to entitle portlet components to a role.
The only thing I've found so far regarding the RoleReader classes is regarding making my own AuthorizationProvider.
