CDMA phone number transfer questions

I have a Verizon CDMA Iphone4 supplied by my company.  They just sent me a new iphone5.  I noticed it has a sim card slot.  How do I transfer my phone number that was ringing to the iphone4 over to the iphone5?  The phone is on the company plan with Verizon.  I have restored all other features of the phone from a backup of my old phone.

If the phone and the number are owned and paid for by the company, then Verizon will only talk to the people who have been authorized on the account. As Ralph suggests, you'll need to go through whoever handles these this contact with Verizon as only they can authorize Verizon to change the number from one phone to another.

Two questions for one of the experts.
What format are Iphone ringtones? Can you use songs previously purchased and converted to the proper format be used as a ring tone and how would someone perform this action.
Is it possible to "bluetooth" phone number from old cell phone to the Iphone?

    M4r - which is MP4 and no - not without a hack.
Is it possible to "bluetooth" phone number from old cell phone to the Iphone?
No - the iPhone does not support Bluetooth data transfer. All data syncing is done with a USB connection with your computer via iTunes.

  • External Phone Number Mask Question

We have several phones with NonDID number on them.  Our route pattern is setup to use an external phone number mask of the sites main number (1112223333).  However on two of the phones, we would like to have a different number displayed (1112224444). We have tried to do this by entering this number (1112224444) into the extranal phone number mask of the DN on the 2 phone.  This did not work, the main number (1112223333) is still being displayed (caller ID).
We know that we can just remove the external phone number mask from the route pattern and then enter one (external phone number mask) into every dn.  But, is there an easlier way to accomplsish this (there are currently 50 phones at this site)?

Unless the checkbox for use the external calling party number is checked in the RP it's useless to set it on the phone.
You're sending the main number because most likely the checkbox is unchecked and as you mentioned you have hardcoded that mask.
Other than copying the RP, creating new partition and modifying CSS from those 2 phones, I would just check the checkbox on the RP and use BAT to change the external calling party mask on the DNs.

  • Nokia 6275i cdma phone book transfer

Can i transfer my phone book to a computer through pc suite
    in nokia 6275i cdma phone

    Try this
Common methods of transferring data are:
Transferring phone numbers via SIM card
    Transferring data via Memory Card
    Transferring data via Bluetooth
    Transferring data via PC
Transfer via PC is the most effective, but it initially requires more effort to set up. You will need to download and install PC Suite software on your compatible PC and ensure that a number of variables line up, including PC Suite version, Windows operating system, and connection method compatibility.
Transfer via memory card is the easiest method as long as both models support the same size of memory card. SIM card transfer is a simple method for transferring phone numbers only.
Transferring phone numbers via SIM card
SIM card transfer makes sense if you are only transferring phone numbers. Copy the phone numbers to your SIM card, remove the SIM card from your previous phone, insert it into your new phone, and store the phone numbers in your new phone's memory. For basic phone models without additional memory, the phone numbers may already be stored on the SIM card.

  • Phone Number Transfer works strangely

I just opened up an account and got a new number. When I did this I transferred my wife's pre-paid T-Mobile number to my plan. So both of us are now on Verizon, on the same plan. When she calls my number it works fine, but when I call her number, it goes to her T-Mobile phone. I've since removed the T-Mobile SIM card and turn off that phone, but calling her number goes straight to voicemail (implying that it's still calling the T-Mobile number). What should I do?
    Thanks

    snotyak,
I would first like to welcome you to the VZW family! We want to make sure your wife is able to make and receive calls on her new phone. What make/model device does she have? Is your wife able to place call, text, and use data on her phone? If your wifi has a 4G device, please try powering her new phone off and on and then test to see if you can call her. If she has a 3G or basic phone dial *228 option 1 then test calling her again.

  • Cannot Get a Straight Answer About Phone number transfer

I signed up for FIOS, and I requested that the assigned number be changed to a number that was presented to me but I didn't select (system locked up and next time I went to enroll it didn't present me with the same numbers).
My installer notified Verizon of the number request I made (which was still unassigned). I have emailed, called, and spoke with a supervisor at Verizon and none of them have verified that the order is even in place. They say that they "can't see it in the system" and it could take 30 days.
If the "phone company" can't see it in the system who's minding the store?!
If anyone knows what to do please help!

  • Phone number transfer

I recently just purchased a SIM card for my iPhone and requested to have my old number switched over, I got an email saying there's more I need to do before they can transfer it. How can I figure out what to do?

    Hi there
I’d be happy to help with your SIM card swap!
To ensure you retain your current prepaid number and get the new SIM activated, we recommend that you visit one of our AT&T company stores. To find the closest store to you and/or to schedule an appointment, please click here.
    I hope this helps!

I just purchased the iphone and I can not get service yet. My cell phone is without service now, but the iphone does not have service yet. How can I check to see if I entered everything correctly, I did not get any errors.

  • Can I buy out my contract to transfer phone number to company account?

    Hello,
Currently I have a droid phone under contract with Verizon, and I am eligible for an upgrade in June, 2015, but can buy out of the contract for $180.  I also am going to get a company phone for my job, but it is required that this be the iphone 6 and it can be either with Verizon or AT&T service.  Ideally I would like to just transfer my number to my company account and use the iphone full time, but unfortunately it's not that simple.
Here are the options I've been informed I have:
    1) Have the company take over my account for no cost, but the company would have to pay $649 for a new iphone since I'm not eligible for an upgrade, and I'm not sure I can get this added cost approved.
    2) Get a separate company phone number and iphone that the company will buy for me (I think it will cost them $200).  Not ideal because I would either lose my phone number or I would have to keep paying for my phone and carry 2 phones around.
Here's the option I want, but nobody can confirm it is possible:
    3) I buy out my old contract for $180, then transfer the phone number to my company phone where I would get a new contract and a new iphone.  I'd be fine paying the $180 out of my pocket since I'd make that up in savings in 3 months.  I was on hold with customer service while 2 service people were debating whether or not this was possible, but after 15 minutes of dead air I had to leave to attend a work meeting, so I don't know if it's possible.
Here's the option I don't want to but may be forced to do:
    4) Start a new contract with AT&T through my company and have my number ported over.  I would then pay the $180 to Verizon to get me out of my obligation.
In case anyone has actually taken the time to read all this, here are my questions:
    - Is Option #3 actually possible?  Has anyone done it?
    - Is Option #4 possible?  If it is possible, wouldn't Verizon just prefer I do option #3.
    - Are there any other options I'm not considering?
Thanks for any input you can give

    Hello Kinquana,
Yes, I'm available for Early Edge upgrade, but from what I can tell it doesn't really offer my company any savings versus them just buying the iphone up front at full price, and it probably just creates complications for the IT department.  Either way, it's an additional cost that I would have to get approved.
So it sounds like my best option is to just move my number to AT&T and cancel my verizon account?  Seems like you would not want that to happen.
I do not have any issues with my current phone, but my company requires that I get an iphone due to compatibility with email and security.
    Thanks for the quick response

  • Will someone PLEASE help a desperate woman by telling me how to talk by phone to a real person at apple support. Cannot find an answer to my question and cannot find a phone number for support.

I set up my new iPad under my daughters ID because her's is attached to my email. Tried to rent a movie from iTunes. Said I had to answer security questions since it was my first purchase. She didn't remember the answers. So it locked. She reset her password and everything works on her iPad but on mine it still wanting answers to the security questions and we don't have the answers (her questions could have multiple answers...favorite teacher, favorite friend). Is there a way to completely disconnect from her ID or can someone please share the phone number for customer support with me? Thanks so much in advance!

  • Transfer my old phone number (from Vonage) to my n...

Disgruntled with the sound quality of Vonage, I revitalized my old Skype account and set it up with a FreeTalk (which, by the way, works great straight out of the box).
My old phone number is still with Vonage collecting dust, but it it the one listed in all kinds of phone books and friends telephone notepads, so it would have value to me if I can retrieve this and link to my Freetalk account.
Problem:  Vonage does not list a phone number where I can talk to someone to get my old number back (which they retrieved from Verizon).  Skype does not list a phone number to  assist me in this.  Go figure, the people who make money on selling phone talk don't want to talk over the phone themselves.
Does anybody have suggestions on how to handle this?

Hi, dandurham, and welcome to the Community,
Unfortunately, I have sad news: as Skype does not support number portability, this is not possible.
    Kind regards,
    Elaine

  • How long does it take for Orange to transfer my phone number contract to payg

I have been with Orange on contract since 2000, and decided to leave.I let Orange know in advance of my contract expiry on 22/6/15.They said I could not have a payg sim so far in advance.I rang two weeks before the contract expiry and they said they would send me a payg sim. They sent it to an address which I have never lived at, and which has never appeared on my bill.I went on holiday. When I came back the new sim had not arrived so I phoned Orange. They said we have sent it to an address in Bedfordshire which you have never lived at. Never mind we’ll send you another payg sim to your home.By now we are nearly a month after my contract expired.I have received the payg sim and the mobile number attached, I managed to get the temp number topped up and requested they transfer my number on Weds 22/7/15.By today Monday I have lost five days of business and my old number has not been transferred. I rang them twice on 23rd July, and again twice on 24th often to find out that they charge me 25p to get a message saying they are not open, so that’s £1 so far. And again with 20 minutes holding listening to music at lunchtime totals £1.25.Over the weekend make that £11 (had to top up).The phone number &*()_  i want to keep is now dead and has stopped taking voicemails.I need this number as it is on all my business cards and website. When you do finally get the number working on payg, I will then get Orange to supply a pac code and move to a different provider. One of the many departments I spoke to yesterday on your 25p line said I should give you a month to get out of the contract. I said I am on payg and I will go when I like! This abysmal level of service for 15 years is why I am leaving orange. The people on the 25p line also have a very poor understanding of English and are more interested in parroting that EE is a great service provider with a good network or some such nonsense.I hope they get my number working so that I can get off Orange network. at the time of writing 5 days and counting so far to transfer a number. At various stages the customer service line have said that I have never been with orange, (after 15 years of once a month bills), they have laughed and said no managers are here at weekends and put the phone down on me. They have given me a manager to speak to, who has given me an incorrect pac code to go to another network. The manager has not been contactable since. And every time I ring they say you must give it another 24 hours or 48 hours

    Hi ,
I'm very sorry to hear of the problems you have had moving to pay as you go.

  • How can Retrieve phone number on Blackeberry CDMA device?

    HI All,
I am tring to retrieve phone number on Blackeberry CDMA device using Blackberry APIs Phone.getDevicePhoneNumber(false); but is is not working it is returning null string value.
Also I can't send SMS using BB API (for CDMA Device)
Can you please tell me what i do for retrieving phone number using my application.
    Thanks in Advance.

    Hi,
Thanks for reply, I am trying my application on T-mobile 8820. Your solution is good and it is working, But this solution requires manually enter phone number in Options -> Advanced Options -> Sim-Card -> Scroll Down -> MenuButton -> Edit SIM-Phonenumber.
Actully we don't want that user do these thing.
I tried to get phone number via sending sms to short code that returns phone number, But for CDMA there is problem for sending sms by using BB API (invoke method), Because this API restart the application.
Is there any other way to get phone number?
    Please reply.
    Thanks in Advance.

  • Can't transfer phone number!!!

I'm currently a sprint customer and I'm trying to transfer my number to AT&T in the initial stage of setting up my iphone and I get the message:
"the phone number you entered cannot be transfered. You must uncheck the transfer number option and clear the information in the text fields to continue"
I've done it 20 times now and checked my account number etc. more than a few times....
    Whats up?
      Windows XP

AT&T will say you cannot transfer your phone number if your old phone number is in a different service area than your current location/billing address. HOWEVER, there is a workaround.
On the first screen of the activation step, you'll need to enter your old billing zip (i.e. a zip code that matches the area code of your current phone number). Later in the process you'll be able to enter your correct billing address.
