On our Crystal Enterprise 10 server. We are getting thousands of Warning messages logged to the Application event log from Crysal_webcompserver with description "Log message: NT Authorization Required."
What are these caused from, and how to I resolve this?

Having the same issue here...
The symptom was removed after restarting all services related to Crystal..
Seems to happen every few weeks.. Still investigating the actual problem.

Philosophy behind pipeline is that it is designed to work on the request. Correct me if I'm wrong.
What you are asking is ability to control the hand shake either in Pipeline or some way during proxy configuration. Unfortunately there is no configuration that is exposed for HTTP proxies in OSB to control that behavior.

This is pretty surprising and wierd that even Reader 10.1.1 is crashing on your system. It works pefectly for me.
Would it be possible for you to get the crash dump, and upload it, so that I can have a look at the same.
Download PROCDUMP from <http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900.aspx> and extract it to a folder, say, c:\temp\procdump.exe
Open cmd prompt and type "cd c:\temp".
Launch the browser and open the PDF.
Open task manager, sort processed by name. Two AcroRd32.exe instances should have been launched. Note the PID (a small integer like 5588) corresponding to the AcroRd32.exe with the higher memory usage; this is the process that must be crashing. Note this PID.
On the cmd window, type "procdump -e -ma 5588 c:\temp\01.dmp" (replace 5588 with the actual PID of the process noted in Step 4). Procdump will now wait for the aoolication to crash. If it throws a EULA, accept it.
Perform your steps to cause the crash.
Procdump will have created a dump file at "c:\temp\01.dmp". Zip it up (since it will be 100s of MBs otherwise) and share with me.

Could sombody tell me how to contact SAP directly to get authorization to "log messages" when I don't have authorization to log a message in the first place? I already have super administrator status. Is there a support email address that I can use?

Why do I get "Podcast Authorization Required" popup box?

Since recently applying the latest update to iTunes to version 11.2.2.3, I now get the following message in a popup box whenever I manually update my podcast list:
Podcast Authorization Required
To access this podcast, you need
to log in to www.mevio.com
It wants a login and password to be entered. Hitting "cancel" makes it go away, but it'll pop up again sporadically as iTunes updates my podcasts. Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?
Another issue (possibly related to the above issue) is that iTunes constantly freezes/"not responding" when I manually update my podcasts. Both of these issues have occurred regularly since I applied the latest iTunes updates. Am I the only one who still hasn't learned not to trust any iTunes update from Apple?

Do you have an add-on called '''Ghostery '''installed? I tried it once myself and if you don't disable certain options, you get those purple popups appearing as can be seen in your screenshot. Go to Tools | Add-ons | Extensions to remove it.
If you can't find it, try running Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If it works correctly in that configuration, then one of your other add-ons is the culprit.

401 Authorization Required ERROR!!

Hi everyone, here is my problem. I cant change ANY setting for my linksys befsr41 v1 router. i can log in witht he password (admin), but when i try and change a setting (ie filters) a password prompt pops up , then after entering my password 3 time i get the "401 Authorization Required" error.
so far i have reset to factory defaults, changed my firmware, and tried changing the password, nothing has worked. i know its not a password issue. i have spent hours on this and got no where SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

while the router is ON...press the reset button on the back of it for a whole minute.... while still pressing down, remove the power cable then release the reset button... clear your browser cache again then restart your computer... turn the router back ON again then access the router setup page once more..... you should leave username blank then use admin as your password.... remember your DSL/Cable configuration to get your Internet connection back ok?

How to Write Log Message in a XML Data Source Report

Can anyone help me out what is the process of writing a log file in the XML Data Source Report. for eg: in Plsql we use FND_LOG.PUT_LINE to print the Log message in the Concurrent Request Output. in the similar manner, when we develop a report using XML, where we write Coding in XQuery of XML, what is the process need to follow to print the logs for the XQuery.
Any inputs/Suggestion on this Highly appreciable.

Something like that is the only feasible way that doesn't require you to have a drive on the remote machine mapped to the local one (which causes its own problems as you could have multiple simultaneous write attempts...).

How to Write log messages in a text file located in another machine

Basically My application is distributed across two or more tomcat servers running in multiple machines.And I get a log4j logs in the respective machines.
But I want a consolidated log message in a single machine.
How do i get that done??

Hello mustangcim243,
iTunes has various components bundled with it that it requires for general usage. I advise that we completely remove iTunes and all of these related components, verify that they have been removed, then reinstall. To do so, please follow the steps in this article:
Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Note: it is important to remove the 7 components in order. Uninstalling these components in a different order, or only uninstalling some of these components may have unintended affects.
If the above does not resolve your issue, I recommend we reset the SC Info folder:

Cant install or uninstall Adobe Air. Keep getting error message "This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found"

I am running Windows 7 and use Adobe AIR for Flixster. When I tried to open Flixster I recieved an error message saying i needed to install Adobe AIR. I looked and saw that according to control panel, Adobe AIR is installed. I attempted to uninstall but get this EXACT message:
"This application requires a version of Adobe AIR which cannot be found. Please download the latest version of the runtime from http://www.adobe.com/go/getair, or contact the application author for an updated version."
I have tried going to the mentioned website but i get an error message saying installation failed and may need administrative privilages but I AM the administrator!
I then tried multiple solutions on the forums including the command prompt uninstall and still no luck. contacted customer support who told me i can only receive assistance through these forums.
Very frustrating. Please Help.

I have the same issue with a customer of ours:
Try to uninstall AIR – same message. (When I reinstall, the install says it’s successful.) I try to run our app, same message. I downloaded another AIR app, same message – so it’s not our app it’s AIR. We logged in as Administrator, same message. It’s a Windows7 machine. I did a system restore to 2 days ago and started over and still the same issues. I tried running the Windows Fixit to uninstall https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/mats/program_install_and_uninstall – didn’t work.

I got a game from itunes today, but when i tried to but it in to my iphone I got the message that this computer is not authorized, but it is! And when I play the music from itunestore I got to log in to authorize the computer, but when I do I get the message that the computer is authorized, but i still cant play the music. I'm having the same problem on my new iMac. First it tells me it's not authorized to play the songs, then when I enter my password, it tells me it's already authorized, but still won't play them. I tried deleting a song and going to the store to redownload it and got charged for it! I've got hundreds of songs, so that's not going to be an option.
In addition, I have quite a few songs from a very old Apple ID, one I forgot I even had, I have no idea what the password was and no way to have the system send me a new password because I no longer have access to that email account.
The Mac I just "retired" could play all the songs in my catalog just fine. This new one won't play the majority of them.

Job log messages in BPM

Hi All,
I am doin Business Process Monitoring for monitoring batch jobs of a satellite system so that we will be getting tickets when some job is cancelling.
for cancellation of jobs SD tickets are generating.
now the requirement is to genarate a SD ticket for the successful job completion.
in BPm we have one option as "job log messages" in Background job monitoring type.
can we do it from there? How will the information be displayed in the ticket for job completion?
we are defining some threshold values also in that option. how those threshold values will help in generating SD ticket.
can anyone please suggest some idea.

You can monitor job log message with Business Process Monitoring in two ways (for an alert description see http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/99/b45f54119044f19d389b2cad3430bc/frameset.htm)
a) Error messages:
Use case: You want to create alerts/notifications if background job creates more than N error messages in the job log.
-> Use the upper limit for yellow/red alerts.
-> Example: Job canceled ->monitor message of class 00 and with ID 564 (type A)
b) Success messages:
Use case: You want to create alerts/notifications if background job creates less than N success messages in the job log (Usually you want to watch the create of follow documents or the successful update of documents)
-> Use the lower limit for yellow/red alerts
-> Example: Job finished without error -> monitor message of class 00 and with ID 517 (type S).
In both cases you will get a green rating - but no notification - if conditions for yellow/red alert are not met. Notifications (manual and automatic creation) are allowed for yellow and red alerts only.

Log messages from multiple instances in single file.

I have a requirement that i need to log messages from muliple instances of the same object in a file. The new file will be created every day. Likewise, multiple objects might have various instances each.

I am using the Message driven bean. I need to log from the bean class. JDK 1.3

As long as they are all from the same OS program (a single Java VM), that's OK - you can use Log4j, and use a rotating file logger.
If you point two different virtual machine processes at the same file, one may have it open when the other is trying to rotate it, and your rotation may fail (at best) and/or you may lose the old log (the worst case).
If you need to collect log messages from multiple processes (or even multiple machines), use a syslog-based logger (Log4j has a SyslogAppender) or use Log4j's SocketAppender to write to a log4j-builtin log listener (SocketNode).

Notes
The authorization fields of an authorization object are fields for data and a field with the name ACTVT for activities. Activities are represented by abbreviations with two characters that are defined in the ACTVT column of the database table TACT or have a customer-specific definition in TACTZ. Possible activities are assigned to the authorization field ACTVT in the authorization object. In the user master record, you have authorizations for data and activities in the form of operands for logical expressions stored as value sets. Here, masking characters can be used for generic authorizations.
When checking the authorization of the current user without the addition FOR USER, the content of the system field sy-uname is not evaluated, but the actual user name is used instead.
The most important contexts for which check indicators can be set are transactions. The execution of a statement AUTHORITY-CHECK can have different results depending on how the current program flow was started. In general, a check indicator should always been set to check.
For authorization objects of the areas SAP NW AS ABAP (BC) and human resources management (HR), a check indicator cannot be set to no check.

Hi Brian,
I did settings for Database and SFTP only. The advanced setting on "new cloud connection" screen fills automatically. when I tried to remove the advanced setting such as host name, port, server path and service name. then it is asking for hostname.
After doing all the steps i am facing the same issue of " HTTP/1.1 407 Proxy Authorization Required".
Could you please help me to resolve the issue?

Did you set up your HTTP Proxies inside of the settings in SQL Developer? Does the particular database you are attempting to access, does the proxy server need authentication? Again, check the http proxy options in sql developer.
