Hi,
The logs generated during installation will be written under the folder sapinst_instdir.
Can you please check the logs in the path  C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/CE71_PROD_ORA/INSTALL/STD/AS and search for Errors in that.
Please share that error message from that log file.
Thanks

    Hi Mike,
Could you check the SAPInst installation directory (..\Program Files\SAP\sapinst_instdir\...\..\..) for latest updated files?
They may have information about the error.

  • Error with OCI8 driver installing sendmail/javamail

    Hi to All,
From Dos window I run the command:
loadjava -user sys/pwd@name_db -resolve -synonym activation.jar
This is the first step in order to install a Sendmail package based on javamail, but I have this error:
    =============================
    Java.exe error
Impossible to find the enterpoint kpufhndl0 of procedure in the library of dynamic link OCI.dll (Sorry, this is a translation of italian language)
    OK
    =============================
After I click on OK and this is the next response:
Error while connecting with OCI8 driver to namedb:oracle.aurora.server.tools.loadjava.ToolsException: The JDBC OCI8 Driver is not installed properly, use -thin to try the JDBC Thin Driver: C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\oradb10g\BIN\ocijdbc10.dll: Impossible to find the specified procedure.
    exiting: could not open connection
After, I have used the command:
    loadjava -thin C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\oradb10g\BIN\ocijdbc10.dll
    This is the result:
SQL error while connecting with driver to default database: Listener refused the connection with the following error:
ORA-12505, TNS: listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor
The connection descriptor used by the client was:
    localhost:1521: orcl
    exiting: could not open connection
But the connection descriptor that I use is eg COSFI, not orcl.
Other applications works fine with my descriptor.
Someone can help me in order to resolve this problem ?
    Thank You and Best Regards.

    Gaetano,
I see you took my advice when I replied to your Error with OCI8 driver installing sendmail/javamail.
However, it doesn't look like you studied the Oracle documentation for loadjava because the command you posted doesn't look right at all.
Please refer to the Java Developer's Guide for the correct syntax and usage of the loadjava command.
    Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Shared technologies install error with PSE9

I'm having trouble installing PSE 9, it continues to fail the install at the Shared technologies install.
I've already been through the other discusson threads on the forum to see if they could help with the install, so I've turned off AV and Firewall, killed any related Adobe processes, updated AIR to 2.7.1 and set the extract/install point to C:\PSE9 and I'm still failing at the same point.
Having reviewed the log file the Error's are:

I've also run Adobe Support Advisor and that wasn't able to help me and effectively sent me here with the following support code: 00-81862-051703092011
Anyone have any ideas of where to go from here?

  • Error marking transaction for rollback: java.lang.IllegalStateException in WLI 6.1 SP3

    Hi,
The following exception occurs, when the workflow was waiting after it has made
a synchronous call to an external system through WTC Interface.
I had read Rob's comments earlier for WLI 6.1 SP1 on this exception that there
would be a fix available for it in the next minor release. For your information,
I had got this exception in WLI 6.1 SP3. Is still EJB Container's timeout excels
the JTA's timeout? Can anybody help me out to find a fix for this problem?

You could change the transaction timeout value, but I'd re-examine the
application and see if the transaction times could be reduced some.
29 seconds seems like a long time.

I also manually created the file RDDGENMC.SRP but it still did not like it.
    Thanks for any help,

    Hello Chris,
In the SM21 dump check for the user id which is facing the dump issue. You can also find this information in ST22. Afterwards trying to assign the authorization object s_dataset to the user with values as "*" in the all the 3 fields of the object. Please let us know if this solved your issue.

Marc, thanks fort your reply. The only reason I tried the older JCreator, and not the newer version, is because of system requirements. I do not have the required memory. So, after your response I said what the heck. I downloaded and tried to install the newer version. It started to install and hung at 29% processed on the progress bar. That's all she wrote. The prior JCreator at least installed it's developer IDE before it tried to install the AS. I guess the order of the install for the newer JCreator's is different. If you have read this thread you will see that I have tried for last year or so off and on to install the Application Server with no success. I have in the pass taken down MS's firewall but did not get any further. I forgot to do it this time. Maybe I should try one more time. I mean I do have GlassFish running . If JCreator supported that server I would not be worried about the AS.
I have no technical angle to define my problem. It just hangs. The old Watcom suite had at least debuggers so I could see where the hang is. The module..etc. Here I feel like a stupid user with a 'user friendly' install that does not work on my machine. frrustrating when I have three other servers installed and running on my machine. I specified my machine config in a prior response.

  • Odd error with MS Office Install and transforms

    Hello,
I'm seeing this on our new Dell PCs that we are delivering to our staff. We create the image, test it, and it works fine. We then deliver the PCs to the user, user logs in, Windows creates profile, etc, but MS Office (2002) won't run - for that user. If I use the account we use for imaging, this we Word, Excel, PowerPoint work normally. For newly profile users, we see the error message:
"Microsoft Word [or Excel or Powerpoint] has not been installed for the current user. Please run setup to install the application."
This makes no sense to me. If we install again, it works for that user, but not other users.
I did find an MS KB article that says we have to uninstall/reinstall MS Office - any other thing that it could be? Installing/reinstalling seems to be just a patch.
I recreated the transforms file to specifically state ALLUSERS=2, so it will force all users who log into the PC to be allowed to use the apps, but it's not working. My app points to the transform file, Office installs, but 1) I still get the above error and 2) Outlook installs, even though I instruct the transform to not install it.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

Okay, thanks. What's really annoying is that I've never had an issue with this until we got our new Dell models in - so it could be that our my image is somehow damaged. Time to recreate...

    I disagree. It states:
"If ALLUSERS=2, the installer always resets the ALLUSERS
property to null or 1 based on whether it determines to do a
    per-user or a per-machine installation."
The only reason to use ALLUSERS=2 would be if you explicit
wanted the Installer to always evaluate which kind of install it
    should do.
Assuring a per-machine install, which I understand is your aim,
    specify ALLUSERS=1.

  • Solaris Express Zone install error with SUNWiiimr and SUNWcnetr

    Hi all,
I got these errors when installing a new zone on a Solaris Express 1/08 (5.11) on a x64 box:
Installation of these packages generated errors: SUNWiiimr
Installation of these packages generated warnings: SUNWcnetr

Installation of -SUNWcnetr- on zone -newzone- partially failed.
-newzone- was configured to be a whole root zone. Are there any ways to solve these installation errors?
    Thanks in advance.

This problem seems some strange - this time with Solaris 10u4, from 10 containers installed on a brand new X2200 (2x cpu) only one do not output those errors, but just this one cannot install the dsee or proxy. This time the errors were from:
Installation of <SUNWxwplr> on zone <dsee-proxy> partially failed.
Installation of <SUNWdtdmr> on zone <dsee-proxy> partially failed.
Installation of <SUNWmconr> on zone <dsee-proxy> partially failed.
Installation of <SUNWrmwbr> on zone <dsee-proxy> partially failed.
Installation of <SUNWlvmr> on zone <dsee-proxy> partially failed.
Installation of <SUNWzebrar> on zone <dsee-proxy> partially failed.
So the machine was, too, just installed. After several hours, anoter atempt to install a zone, this time just this one, returned no errors - and the dsee installed without any complains. All configurations were for whole root zones. Used was Solaris 10u4 with the most recent patch cluster applied.

  • Install error with Photoshop CS6

I am trying to install the trial version of Photoshop cs6. I have attempted the install three times now and if keeps finishing with the same message, "Some items for the following product(s) could not be installed successfully."
The programs does not run correctly, for example a 3d object that I use in cs4 works perfect, in cs6 it places transparent areas that do not exist.
What did not get installed and is it causing the trial version to fail to run properly?

  • Problems when tyring to continue install: Errors with grant.sql

Going through the install procedure for PeopleTools 8.50 with PeopleSoft HRMS 9.1. Running Windows XP Pro SP3. Install on single machine for testing purposes.
I ran scripts in Data Mover to populate the PeopleSoft database tables. I did this through Database Setup for PeopleSoft HRCS Database and selected Demo for the database type. I have checked all the log files and everything completed successfully.
Now I am trying to run grant.sql, but I'm getting errors telling me none of the tables exist. I have checked my services and the instance is running. I am attempting to run this script after a shut down of my machine so I could simply be missing a service or something. Not sure what I should be looking for...
    Thanks in advance...

  • CS3 install error with Lion

Trying to install CS3 from install disk onto new MacBook Pro with Lion OS - get this error: "PowerPC applications are no longer supported"
Had used migration assistant from iMac running leopard - CS3 apps did not migrate. So trying to do from install disk.
Thanks for any help! - Lesley

TaoDrum did you originally try transferring the CS3 applications with the Migration assistant?  If so that is probably where your difficulty lies.  You are correct the Creative Suite 3 applications are universal so they should run in both environments.
If you did migrate over the applications then you can try using the Creative Suite 5 cleaner tool to clean up your installation.  If that fails then I would recommend reverting back to the original image on your Macintosh and only use the migration assistant to move over settings and documents.

  • WAS 6.40 ABAP stack install - error with sapstartsrv.exe - Help needed!

    Hi all,
Can anyone assist me with a new installation issue? I am trying to perform an initial install of WAS 6.40 SP3 ABAP stack (non unicode) using the NW Master CD and CD51030103 for the SAP Kernel on a vanilla W2K AS server.
I also have a previously installed working version of EP6.0 SP9 on WAS 6.40 (SP9) on the same physical server.
The problem is occuring at the Create and reregister services part of the new 6.40 kernel install, I am getting the message:

I have had no problems in the past in installing a 6.20 kernel on the same host as a portal server, but this time with 6.40 I have had no luck.
I have tried replacing the version of sapstartsrv.exe from the
..usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\run directory with a more recent version to see if the exe version was the problem but this has not resolved.
I have also tried to run the installation again without deleting the previous files, and this has also made no difference.
I have read through most of the forum's regarding problems with sapstartsrv.exe failing, but couldn't find anything that can help fix my problem.
If anybody thinks they can help, it would be most appreciated
    Cheers,
    Paul

    Hi Sergio, hi Paul,
I'm getting the same error while trying to install with RI 2.5. Interesting enough, I also have a 6.20 installed on the same machine.
Sergio, do you mean by your last post one should change the system nr when configuring the installation?
Paul, did you find a workaround/solution?
    Thanks in advance

  • WAS 6.40 ABAP stack install - error with sapstartsrv.exe

    Hi,
Can anyone assist? I am trying to perform an initial install of WAS 6.40 SP3 ABAP stack (non unicode) using the NW Master CD and CD51030103 for the SAP Kernel on a vanilla W2K AS install, which also has a working EP6.0 SP9 runnning on it.
At the Create and reregister services part of the kernel install, I am getting the message:
    WARNING 2004-12-08 18:45:26
    Execution of the command "F:\usr\sap\IDS\SYS\exe\run/sapstartsrv.exe '-r' '-q' '-p' 'F:\usr\sap\IDS\SYS\profile\START_DVEBMGS00_devbox01' '-s' 'IDS' '-n' '00' '-U' 'devbox01\SAPServiceIDS' '-P' 'XXXXXX' '-e' 'devbox01\idsadm'" finished with return code -1. Output: Test call to Service failed.Profile parameter SAPSYSTEMNAME or SAPSYSTEM doesn't match installation parameters.Service not correctly installed.
    ERROR 2004-12-08 18:45:26
    MOS-01011  'F:\usr\sap\IDS\SYS\exe\run/sapstartsrv.exe' returned with '-1'.
I have had no problems in the past in installing a 6.20 kernel on the same host as a portal server, but this time no luck.
I have also tried replacing the version of sapstartsrv.exe from the
..usr\sap\SID\SYS\exe\run directory with a more recent version to see if the exe version was the problem but this has not resolved.
I have also tried to run the installation again without deleting the previous files, and this has also made no difference.
I have read through most of the forum's regarding problems with sapstartsrv.exe failing, but nothing of use to fix my problem.
If anybody thinks they can help, it would be most appreciated
    Cheers,
    Paul

Do you want to install Visual Studio, CVI, etc.?  It looks like you are running the device drivers DVD, and must have told it to install All device drivers, rather than just the ones it determined you needed when it scanned your system.  So when it tries to install the device drivers for VS and CVI et al, it can't find that software on your PC.  If you want that software, they would be on other CD's in your Developer's suite package.  Install that, then run the Device Drivers DVD again.
If you only want to install Labview, rerun your DVD for your device drivers again, and only install the features that it wants.  I find the device drivers DVD takes a long time to initialize, and I believe that is because it is scanning your PC to detect what other National Instrument products you have installed so it can populate the list of what drivers you need to install.
