http://support.creative.com/Products/Produ...ET=CategoryID:
And I have this this sound speaker 4. 4400
for preview
http://support.creative.com/Products/Produ...nspire+4.+4400
The problem that I can not find the sound card driver for windows 7 and the windows installed the driver but the sound is not pure although it's higher than the sound when i connect the speakers to my Built in card
I am not satisfied with the sound when i connect the speakers to creative li've card and i can not install the driver for windows 7
I hope to fix this
Thanks

Does this problem only occur in certain programs? Because I have a similar problem with my sound suddenly dropping without warning. But it only happens when I'm playing music in Windows Media Player. If it does have something to do with the media player then I suspect it could be the "WOW effects plugin." I hope this helps, or at least narrows down your problem.

  • Sound Blaster Sound Cards and Gigaworks S750

I recently purchased a Sound Blaster Zx sound card and found that it only supports up to 5.1 speaker configurations. That means I don't have sound from my side speakers in my Gigaworks S750 7.1 system. Needless to say I am very disappointed with Creative Labs engineers wondering why 7.1 support has been dropped from their very own speaker systems. I am posting hoping some more knowledgeable forum members can offer a better solution to my dilemma.
I could go back to my X-Fi Extreme Music card which has all of the 3.5 mm minijack speaker connectors but I would rather not do this as support for this card has been dropped and I am doubtful that there will be many more driver and/or software updates available. I would also rather not buy a new speaker system b/c I am happy with the Gigaworks and don't really want to replace it.
I looked going back to an older Titanium HD soundcard but it only has RCA connectors on the back of the soundcard and the Gigaworks connectors are 3.5 mm minijacks. The Gigaworks has no optical or HDMI connectors anywhere. I wonder....can I connect the 3.5 mm jacks from the Gigaworks to the RCA or optical ports on the ZX or Titanium HD with an adapter or converter? Does Creative sell new cables or adaptors, or any special audio shop for that matter, that would make the connections work?
    Can anyone help please?
    Thanks!

As I said, that upmix is only a workaround, you still have just 5.1 discrete channels, just that the rear and sidespeakers emit the same sound.
I don't have any experience with Asus or Auzentech. Both have their issues as well but they are both very good and only the very best creative cards (X-Fi Titanium HD, ZxR and perhaps X-Fi Elite Pro) can compete.
On the other side Asus has most of their cards in production for half a decade without alteration and doesn't update their drivers very often as well. Their don't be as many issues as with creative cards, but you will find people having problems as well, it's not like they work flawlessly for everyone.
Same for Auzentech, only they didn't produce as highend cards as Asus and some Creatives (Titanium HD and ZxR only) plus while their dirver support seems to be good, their other support is nonexistant, especially since they seem to have stopped producing soundcards. Additionaly I have heard of the X-Fi Forte mysteriously dying on many people after some years.
The differences aren't great, though, and in my opinion you won't find a soundcard combining everything to perfection. The ZxR nearly does, only lacking 7.1 output.
The Asus Xonar STX is very similar, but can only ouput analoge stereo, while the PCI-based ST can output the very best analoge 7.1 available with a additional daughtercard (but who wants a PCI card nowadays?).
The best 7.1 cards from Asus, D2 and D2X, lack a Headphone-Amp, while the Xonar Xense and Phoebus, being nearly identical to each other, have one but use a slightly lesser DAC for all channels apart from Stereo, similar to the Auzentech X-Fi Forte and Bravura.
The D1 and DX finally are only slightly better than the X-Fi Music and Titanium, because they use a slightly better DAC for Stereo, which is used on Audigy 4 Pro and X-Fi Elite Pro for all channels and for stereo on the soundblaster Z and Zx.
Everything below (Xonar DG(X) and DS(X)) ist far inferior, though the DG(X) sports a cheap headphone-amp even the D2X lacks.
So, if you only want 7.1 as good as possible, the Xonar D2X is the best solution, followed by the D2, Auzentech X-Fi Prelude and Creative X-Fi Elite Pro.
But, if you want to drive very good headphones, too, the Xonar Xense, Phoebus and Auzentech X-Fi Forte will be the better solution.
None of them will be as good as the ZxR, if you can live with discrete 5.1 only.
The minijack cables aren't an option. Just when you connect your Gigaworks to any Asus, Auzentech, Creative X-Fi Titanium card or most onboard codecs you have to use 4 stereo minijack cables, while for any Creative 6.1/7.1 card from Audigy 2 to X-Fi PCI-series you have to use a special 4 stereo to 3 4-pin minijack cable, which probably came with your gigawarks set.
If you want to use any "normal" sound card you don't need any special cable, it's just 4x any normal stereo minijack cable.

  • Just got the Creative Labs Sound Blaster Sound Card

ok, hooked it up and everything, plugged my three cables into the corresponding colors, the colors from the cables, from my speakers, match the colors on the sound card. I played numerous songs, and sound is only coming out of the front two side speakers, I have fi've speakers in total, I'm using Logitech 5.1 system, so I have a middle speaker, and a sub, and two speakers in the rear, does anyone know how I can get all the speakers to play at once?

  • GIGAWORKS AND ASUS REALTEK SOUND CARD will they work together or what sound cards are compatable?

S750 GIGAWORKS AND ASUS MOTHERERBOARD REALTEK SOUND CARD
My system currently used a built in sound card on the main board asus hd audio
I am wondering if these speakers will work fully with the built in sound card or will I need to purchase another sound blaster card?

Is your built in Realtek 7.1 analog? If so, does it have 3 output jacks for 7.1 or 4.1 If 4, you'll need a cable with 4 1/8th inch plugs on each end, if it's got 3 the included cable will work fine. Either way it shouldn't be a problem, although some onboard sound may not sound as good as a dedicated higher-quality soundcard as high quality speakers tend to bring out both the best and worst in your other sound equipment.

  • K8N Diamond Plus, SLI and Creative X-Fi cards, anyone running similar?

    Hi there!
I've got an ASUS A8N32-SLI board and my X-Fi card does not work with it, nor does it for many other people with similar setups.
    See here:
    http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=31426
    and here:
    http://forums.creative.com/creativelabs/board/message?board.id=soundblaster&message.id=26289
I get crackling and popping noises when running most games, e.g. BF2, Fear, FarCry.  When my 2x7800GTX's are in SLI mode it crackles loads, e.g. start far cry, click options, and listen.  When i disable SLI mode it crackles less, but it still crackles.  Many others encounter similar issues with their systems that are not identical but the symptoms are similar - high load = crackling/popping.
    My question is:
Is anyone here sucessfully running any X-Fi card (music, fatality, elite pro, etc) with 2x video cards and NO crackling/popping in BF2, FEAR and FarCry?
I've already had a replacement X-Fi card from creative which their tech guy said "should" fix it, lol, I'm wondering wether to replace my A8N32-SLI with an K8N Diamond Plus to fix the problem.  Besides, the MSI board has better PCI slot location and works with nTune too unlike the ASUS board.

    What's going on guys.
I hate to see peep's having soooo many prob's and it sucks major BALLZ. The reason why I'm reposting is that I encountered a new issue. Not with my rig, but a friend's.
We pretty much have the same setup. Differences are he's using 2GB of Corsair DDR400 (which is picking up as DDR333 as well), different branded video cards (I'm running two EVGA 7800GT's in SLi, he's running two BFG 7800GT's in SLi), XFi Platinum (me, Fatality Edition) and he's got a dedicated ITE RAID PCI card for his RAID from his previous rig. Configured his BIOS pretty much the same way I have it running (he wanted to Overclock his AMD x2 4400+ to 2.6 GHz), but when it came to installing Windows we kept getting BSOD's during installation. Looked over things numerous times and it didn't make sense. We resetted the BIOS to default settings and Windows went through without a hitch. We tried OC'ing it one more time and Windows was fine. But, when he installed and ran Quake 4, either Windows or the game would just lock up. He booted back into the BIOS and put the CPU back at stock frequency of 2.2 GHz. Game ran flawlessly afterwards. That points at the processor. The only differences were we both have different stock fans and his CPU was manufactured in July '05. Mine in Sept '05. His rig also reports the infamous "Phantom" PCI modem as well.
Quake 4 is the only game he's got installed so far, but he reports everything is set to their highest qualities, including resolution. He said it runs great with no anomalies. He's going to install Dawn of War and Winter Assault later I know.
Me? I haven't run into any issues with any games either, including F.E.A.R. as Hydrasworld asked. Both of our sound cards are in the Communication PCI Slot of the motherboard. My take on the OC issue is since we're using different proc's from different wafers, maybe my chip had revisions in September that the July proc my friend has didn't. Also, his heatsink has one less copper pipe I noticed. I'll still drop by for help. Good luck to you all and the only other thing I can add is try using the latest drivers for each piece of hardware you've got.
    LPB
P.S. If you can and you purchased a retail version of the processor, on one of the sides of the carton insert for the processor, a date should be printed. Maybe that can explain some issues. Once more, my proc was manufactured September 15th, 2005.

  • No sound with alsa and integrated Intel sound card, any advice???

I just got a new computer, erased the OEM windows install and installed Arch linux with xfce. I have an Integrated HDA intel sound card with Realtek ALC888 chip
Sound worked just fine in the windows install, so I know the card and speakers work.
I installed alsa and made sure to unmute PCM and Front speakers. Unmuting all of the entries didn't help. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am going through the wikiarticl on alsa as well, but if anyone can point out what the issue is hear I would greatly appreciate it.

Hmm. I have an onboard Intel sound chipset as well.. I noticed your rc.conf doesn't have "snd-hda-intel" in the MODULES array; make sure you add that.
I never figured out how to read the right side of lsmod's output, so I'll assume that, despite having the snd-hda-intel module, you haven't enabled it yet. Try (as root or through sudo) `modprobe snd-hda-intel`. It may need underscores instead of hyphens; they seem to be interchangeable.

  • Automatic update to Tiger and now MBP sound card is not working properly?

A month ago there was an automatic Mac Book Pro OS update to the Tiger OS and since then the sound card on my MBP is popping and clicking during all music playback using the Sibelius music software program. All of my music composition friends (who use MBP and Apple computers) had the same experience at the same time...problems (popping and clicking) began right after a particular OS automatic update. Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution to this Sibelius music playback problem with a recent Mac OS automatic update?

    Welcome to the forums!
Yes there are other posts here recently about noise along with some Audio APPs, there might even have been a cure, but I'm on Dial-up & just getting off work, but thought I could give you a hint about searching for it.

  • Logic Pro X and Eleven Rack Sound Card Problem. Intermittent? MacBook Pro Yosemite. Anyone having this issue too?

    Ok,
Avid Eleven Rack Audio Interface with latest firmware into usb MacBook Pro running 10.10.3 (latest Yosemite)
Logic X and the sound card do not see the Eleven Rack all the time. *Intermittently*, but more often than not, I can't select the eleven rack as my interface either in Logic X Preferences>Audio>Devices or System Preferences>sound pref as the eleven rack does not show up in either list to be able to even select it.
Real pain when you are writing and have a flow of ideas and need to get a recording down. Anyone else having this issue? I have tried both usb ports in the macbook pro and the same results.
Of course I unplug and replug the usb cable. Still nothing. I have to quit Logic Pro X and restart to even get a chance for the eleven to even show up in either list.
Once I can select it then I also have a problem with being able to record (it records and gets input not prob) but on playback their is no output (with correct output selected) so I then have to use a Logic X template where the output is set exactly the same as what I am trying currently but for some reason it works with the template on the same exact settings. Mighty pain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am going to try my Eleven on another computer to see what happens too but thought I would ask here.
    Thanks
    ejh

First make sure you are using the latest drivers...
    http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/en_US/Download/Eleven-Rack-Drivers
However the latest ones are not yet confirmed as working to OS X 10.10.3 so you may need to wait for an update from Avid....
    Test and see....
Note: It's always a good idea not to update OS X or Logic Pro until after you have checked if there are working drivers for your external hardware first.. especially, in my personal opinion... in the case of Avid hardware drivers which are know to lag behind in development..

  • Anyone using Creative extrenal sound card via USB w/ Mac mini

There is a sweet deal for Klipsch Ultra 5.1 for $299.99 at London Drugs in Canada.....I'd like to replace my old 4.1s. Id like to buy Creatives"Soundblaster Live 24-bitExternal. Is there any chance anyone out there has done such a thing with thier Mac Minis? Would like to know if someone has this step-up.
    Thanks!

Creative usually doesn't make Mac compatible hardware, meaning that a great deal of Creative stuff that actually runs on a Mac is thanks to the effort of Apple, 3rd party developers or hackers. It's possible to make the Zen work with a Mac, but its support is extremely limited.
    Try these:
    http://hk.geocities.com/hkgiantbear/guide/zen_micro_mac/eng/zen_micromac.htm
    http://www.wentnet.com/projects/xnjb/
Anyway, you can always install Boot Camp and run Windows on your Mac Mini whenever you need to access your Creative MP3 player.

  • Samplitude 2496 and Audigy 4 sound card problem any suggestions please

    Hello
I have a problem. I have installed Audigy 4. All looks good. I am editing music in a software called Samplitude 2496. But I simply cannot playback. I beleive Samplitude needs ASIO support to be able to playback. A window pops up when ever I try to playback saying
"Cannot open waveform output device 'SB Audigy 4[D800]'!
"The specified format is not support or cannot be translated. Use the capabilities function to determine the supported format".
I cannot find any ASIO in my system yet Audigy 4 says it has ASIO2 support. Does this mean Audigy software has the ASIO or does this mean I need to download the ASIO for the Samplitude playback.
    Any suggestions most welcome urgently.
    Thank you Philip

If you have installed Creative bundled drivers for your card, ASIO drivers are installed already. Check on Samplitude Audio settings, if you see those drivers listed there -> NOTE:! you need to select ASIO 24/96 driver for 24/96 data. AFAIK, other (two) CT ASIO drivers supports 6/48 only (least this is the situation w/ Audigy 2).
You can find more information on ASIO @

  • No sound with ALSA and Creative Recon3D

I have been working on this issue for several days now and still cannot get my sound card to work. Basically, I have a Creative Sound Blaster Recon3D sound card installed in a PCI slot and I am unable to play any sound through it. Note that I have the on board sound disabled in the BIOS. Also, it is my understanding that this sound card is supported as of kernel 3.5. I dual boot this system and sound does work on my Windows install. I am certain that I do not have any channels muted and that the sound card is being detected by the kernel.
I have already gone through the relevant troubleshooting steps listed in the following Wiki pages:
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ad … sound_card
    https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Al … leshooting
As suggested by the above pages, I have tried:
    - Setting the default card in /etc/asound.conf
    - Setting all instances of "card 0" to "card 2" (which is the ID of the card listed in "aplay -l") in /usr/share/alsa/alsa.conf
    - Verified the sound modules were loaded
    - Double checked to make sure that all channels were unmuted
A couple of interesting things I noticed:
    1) Speaker-test fails:
    # speaker-test -c 2
    speaker-test 1.0.26
    Playback device is default
    Stream parameters are 48000Hz, S16_LE, 2 channels
Using 16 octaves of pink noise
ALSA lib pcm_dmix.c:1018:(snd_pcm_dmix_open) unable to open slave

Can anyone help point me in the right direction? This is driving me crazy and I feel like I am just a few steps away from getting this working properly.
One last note, I tried going the PulseAudio route as well, and I was unsuccesful.

I think it's little too late now but i guess i post this for anyone searching for a fix
Recon3d works since few major kernel versions back... but there buffer allocation problem on default configuration (Card sometimes will do random loopy noice while trying to play, which means right sound data going somewhere where it does not suppose to) , it can be fixed by loading snd_hda_intel module with position_fix=1 parameter. For some reason this does not work on udev (or i'm doing something wrong ) so i did script:
    rmmod snd_hda_intel
    modprobe snd_hda_intel position_fix=1
...and i turn it to systemd service, which starts on boot and it seems to work. There 3 bugs i notice:
    1. Sometime card mutes, but when i do sound is soem other application it goes back, i think there init problem or something, this seems to fixed since 3.8
    2. On system wake sounds gone sometimes, guess what fix that .... you need to boot Windows and go back to Linux and it works, i think this has soemthing to do with firmware
    3. Optical Input does work in Audacity
3.9 inludes firmware loading which should fix lot of problems + support for What U Hear (sound loopback) and digital mic. Hopefully it also fix buffer problem
