Cell border not appearing in Adobe forms

Hi,
We Placed a button in internal table cell and itu2019s property is set to invisible.
This button is set to visible based on value of other column value in the same row of table.
But border for the cell is not coming when button is invisible.
Note: the button size is equal to cell size and so when we make the button invisible ,the cell border itself is not appearing as the whole cell is invsible.
How make the cell border visible even the button in that cell is invisible.
Please put your suggestions in this regard.

Here the method to hide the toolbar is given. Try passing ABAP_FALSE in method: lr_method_handler->set_hide_toolbars( abap_false ) if it works.

The above mentioned thread is talking about icons not appearing in the Forms builder and not at runtime. I don't think it will help you.
In Webforms displaying "Icons" it's a little bit different than client/server, Webforms use .gif files as icons and not .ico files and these files should be Jarred in a .Jar file and put in a directory where the JVM can reach.
Follow the instruction in the [url http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/pdf/webicons.pdf]Webicons file in page 3 under the "Don't want to learn about the details, Just get started!" it's very easy and fun.

The new column designed not appears in the form

Dear All Gurus/Experts,
I created new column directly in the database stored in the SQL server 2000,in table IGN1, right click --> select design table, then right click --> insert column, I write U_copqty, numeric data type, 9 is its length and allow nulls check mark.
I can't understand why the field is not appeared in the form settings like other columns so that I can thick and make it appear in the form IGN1 (receipt from production). I have read development training files but I am confusing if it is really need VB.net to do that. I also know about user defined field but it doesn't what I need because I have created UDF in the production order row but I can't find it in the receipt from production form, so I just did create the new field/column directly in its database but I fail to make it appear in the form settings when I need it to be available in the receipt from production form. would you pls help me ? I appreciate your answer. TIA

Hello Steve,
The reason you can not see the directly added field is because that there is another table CUFD which holds all the User Defined Field information. So, you need to add a new record in that table. However, the approach is really not SAP recommended. Directly handling database could be very risky. Please create the user defined field according to the steps.
Regarding why you can not view the field you created, did you create a row or document level field?

Folio not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on ipad

folio i created in indesign cs5.5 not appearing in Adobe Content Viewer on ipad.
I have CS5.5, Apple ipad 1st gen ios 5.0.1 Adobe content viewer 1.9.1
the folio appears on the acrobat.com site in the FOLIO PRODUCER
but nothing is appearing on my ipad in the Adobe Content Viewer.
I work for a large magazine publisher and would like to demo the folio on the ipad to sell the concept of the DPS.
However if i cant get this on my device, its going to be a no go.

Your doubts motivated me to do some testing on the subject;-)
I made several files of different dimensions, and uploaded them to the cloud. All of them rendered correctly on the desktop. But only those which used exact 4:3 width:height ratio appeared in the Content Viewer on the iPad. And only those, which were at least 1024x768px. A perfect 4:3 document sized 768x576 did not show. But the 1536x1152 one appeared correctly.
I am still certain, that the reason of absence od James' file in his iPad was caused by the dimensions of the folio. I would however modify my statement:
Only the folios sized exactly 1024x768 px (Landscape, portrait or both orientations) are valid for iPad
It should be: Only the folios sized 1024x768 px or more, with exact 4:3 ratio (Landscape, portrait or both orientations) are valid for iPad.

I don't know if your on a Mac or a PC.
So you need to locate the Font cache file for Acrobat (make sure Acrobat is quit) and remove to Trash/Wastebasket.
and empty. The open Acrobat back up and the font cache file should rebuild. If your on a Mac the simpliest way is use a Utility called fontnuke and have it remove all Font caches.
Font cahces frequently corrupt as they are in constant use. Mayb Windows machines have something similar as Font Nuke.

Acrobat X Pro Drop-down Fields Do Not Appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Help!

I am having a problem getting drop-down fields to appear on Adobe Reader for iPad. Basically, I need to create a form that includes drop-down fields, with the end result being a form that can be viewed and completed on an iPad, using the Adobe Reader app. Above all else, the end result needs to be viewable on an iPad.
I created a form using Acrobat X Pro within which drop-down fields work flawlessly. However, when I try to open this form on an iPad, the drop-down fields do not even appear. I have done some investigating on the Web (including these forums) and come to understand that this has to do with javascript limitations on Apple products, but have yet to discover a solution to my problem.
To summarize: does anyone know how to make drop-down fields appear in Abobe Reader for iPad app? Or, does anyone know a workaround in which I could have a drop-down menu (or something similar) in my form and have it work on Adobe Reader for iPad?
Thanks in advance for the help. I took on this project from my boss' boss, so I'd really like to get this done for him.

Thanks for the reply. I experienced the issue running the most recent version of the Adobe Mobile Reader app. I'm not sure I can convince the client to use anything else, but its worth a shot.
All I need is a simple drop-down list (multiple fields in the document) with 4 options that the user can select and submit as a form. Is this something EZ Pdf reader can do? Also, is EZ Pdf Reader free? (the reason I ask is I am an Android user and do not readily have access to a iPad).

Tool Bar not visible in Adobe Forms

When i open the form, tool bar(save,print,up,down scroll button, page number, minimize.maximize button)it coming automatically without any press...but some forms its not appearing but when i press F8 then only the toolbar is appearing please suggest me whether we need to write a code or we need to change the settings in the toolbar .If we write a code please let me know where i need to write if it is a settings where i need to change the setting ..Please Advise its very important..I am fresher in the Adobe side ..Please suggest me

Static text is not appearing from the form designer

Hi,
We are using Adobe Live Cycle designer 6.0 to design print forms.
The problem we are facing is, sometimes static text element created on the Body Page of the form does not appear at all(when we open the form designer after creating the Static text element), though we can find the static text in XML Source of the form.
For example, if a text element is created with text "XYZ" on body page, it is not visible on the body page whereas the XML Source contains "XYZ" in it.
What can be the problem ?

I tried using static text from Standard Library and ISR library too. Still the text disappears when i activate the form.
More inputs on this will be helpful.
Also, we are using the Form Designer Version 6.0 which is in-built component of NWDS 2.0.16 installation.

Submit button not triggering in adobe form : webdynpro abap

I am a beginenr in Webynpro Abap . I am trying to catch a submit buttion from a Adobe form developed in webdynproabap .
I have 2 fiels along with the submit button ( of type submit to SAP )
I have written the code in the view action onsubmit and the the java script in the form is also there .
form is of type ZCL
I am not able to trigger the event. what can be the issue . should i do anything more ..
i tried with the 2 type of submit button one is hanging other one there is no reponse .. can any one let me know what can be the reason .

Why typed in data is not saved in adobe form ?

I develoveloped many intearcative forms their look and fell is good but problem is that the data typed in the adobe form is not saved .when i save the adobe form with nevigation File -> Save as ->pdf. the file is save with new name but the filled in data is lost. Please
help me in this scenario.

You can save the filled form when you enable the form with Adobe Acrobat.

Print Preview not working for Adobe forms

Hello experts,
I am new to designing of Adobe forms. I have the following installations already in place:
1. ADS
2. Designer 7.0
3. Adobe Reader 8.0
I am trying to execute the standard report FP_EXAMPLE_01 to test whether Adobe forms work coherently with my system config is fine.
When trying to execute thsi report prg , I get a very perculiar message on clicking on print preview bttn "ADS: Request start time: Tue Feb 05 12:25:05 IST 2008(200.101) "
Now I am not sure whether it is a Basis issue with the ADS config or Printer settings ?
Please advise.

That is not required functionality. it should display a Adobe Form for Invoice processing.
I doubt there might be some problem with ADS configuration.
Can you please do the following test and let me know the result ?
If the Adobe Interactive Forms have been installed correctly, the
following tests should run without errors:
First test:
1) Call transaction SE38.
2) Enter the report name "FP_PDF_TEST_00" and choose "Execute" (or press F8).
3) Enter "ADS" in the entry field for the connection, and choose
"Execute" (or press F8).
4) The system should issue a dialog box containing the current version
information.
Second test:
1) Call transaction SE38.
2) Enter the report name "FP_TEST_00" and choose "Execute" (or press
F8).
3) Enter "FP_TEST_00" for the form, "2" for the number of output pages,
and "ADS" for the ADS connection. The choose "Execute".
4) Enter a valid output device and choose "Print Preview".
5) The Adobe Reader should be displayed in the GUI, and display two
pages with numbered lines.
Third test:
1) Call transaction SE38.
2) Enter the report name "FP_TEST_IA_01" and choose "Execute" (or press
F8).
3) Enter "FP_TEST_IA_01" for the form, "ADS" for the ADS connection, and
any data in the other entry fields (these are already filled with
default values). Then choose "Execute" (or press F8).
4) Enter a valid output device and choose "Print Preview".
5) The Adobe Reader should be displayed in the GUI, and display a page
with address fields.
6) Scroll down to the frame for the new address, and fill in those
fields.
At the end of the form, an entry field for the date and a value help
exists. Choose the input help button and check if the system displays
the datepicker.
Now you will know yourself if there is any problem with ADS configuration.

Set Content Copying: Not allowed in Adobe forms

We have developed an adobe form, non interactive form, which has scanned signatures, incorporated as images, of authorized personnel.
But we found that these signatures (images) can be copied by standard copy (Ctr+c).
After a brief study we could find out that we need to set the Content Copying as Not allowed, in document properties, as one of the possible solution, but we are unable to do so.
Could you please suggest a way out as to how do we set Content Copying: Not allowed, in the document properties, of the PDF document.

The XML equivalent of the Adobe form, designed, has a tag <PDF security> which has "copy content" set as 1. The possible solution to my problem is to set the copy content to zero or a value which deactivates the copy content. But even though we set the value to zero, the moment we activate the form it reset itself to 1. Could you please elaborate on this one?

Barcode BC_CD39 not found for Adobe forms

Hi All,
There is a BARCODE format BC_CD39 that we use in SAP Script for printing barcodes.
In Adobe forms, BARCODES are classified on their technical bar code names. following link is the reference to the same.

The corresponding technical Bar Code name for BC_CD39 is Code 39. But we are not able to see that in the Adobe Layout designer.
Is there an alternative to this. We need to replicate excatly what is there in SAP Script(BC_CD39).

Or
We Can download the barcode definitions from SAP (i.e. from SE73) and upload to the location you as i mentioned in the path.

Apps panel does not appear, "Install Adobe Apps" not working

I would like to download Photoshop CC (first the trial version) but after downloading Creatice Cloud Desktop, the Apps panel does not appear at all. If I click on the "install adobe apps" tab nothing happens. I have tried everything that was written on the forum but nothing seems to work . I have also re-installed the programs several times.@

I managed to solve the problem through this: creative cloud is blank window why? renaming that opm.db file but in the "Program Files (x86)" folder (I prevously used the "program files" one.

But its displaying at the time of form generation on ZHINUREQ_CORRS_LETTER program.

Hi Saujanya,
This could by caused by the network, the used browser or additional browser plugins. Try to do the following:
1. Test with an alternative browser (if you are on a SP which supports different browsers than IE, see PAM, http://service.sap.com/pam): If it works with Firefox, then you know the problem is caused by IE and not by the OS, network, ...
2. Deactivate/uninstall all additional browser plugins/add-ons (like google toolbar, Yahoo toolbar, ...)
3. Create a client trace as explained in SAP note 999998. Maybe there's a hint in the trace. Watch for something like "ERROR".
4. Install a HTTP sniffer (like "fiddler") on both machines and compare the network traffic. Maybe there's a request with a 4xx HTTP status code?
5. How is the machine connected to your network? Is it behind an additional webproxy?
