Cell-Level Documents in Planning 11.1.1

Would I need to use the EPMA front-end to be able to use the cell-level documents in Planning forms feature or could I get this feature using classic administration? Thanks in advance.

How to query Cell level Security in 11g AW

Are there any views/tables that we might be able to use to query the Security settings in 11g AW?
In AWM 11g we have the ability to grant users/groups security at a cell level, with this functionality there is no need for us to maintain the PERMIT_WRITE program to manage Write access to users. I could not find any document that states how we can manage/view the security outside the AWM tool.

For Oracle 11.1, there is a dba-level view called
DBA_XDS_INSTANCE_SETS which provides the data security definitions
for both rdbms table-based and olap dimension/cube-based data security
documents. The actual definition of data security is stored in the XML DB
repository under the XDB schema.

There is no way to actually manage the data security documents outside of
AWM for 11.1 in terms of creating/editting/deleting the data security documents
at least none that is documented.

Remove Fixing of cells while exiting the planning book

HI Gurus,
i am looking for a stnadard sap functionality to delete the fixing of cells done by the planners every month. is there any stnadrd macro function which i can use to delete the fixing of cells? the cells may be fixed at an aggregate level or at lowest level of the selection.
is there any standard macro which i can use?

that works. however i cannot make the key figure zero because some of my other KFs are getting disaggregated on that specifc KF.
is there any other way to delete the fixing of the cells before exiting the planning book or using a standard function in any macro?

Can I delete or copy all the cell text in Hyp Planning from the planning web front, i.e. without resorting to running SQL script to delete the records?

As far as I know (Planning version 9.2.0.3) there is no way to clear cell text (unless you using SQL script that running on the application RDBMS.
Regarding copy cell text, as administrator you can copy cell text from planning web using Administration>Copy data option, you can select copy data including cell text (for example; from version to other version).

It is the backbone of SRM. It maps the organisation data with backend
For EG.

And it has all defined attributes value to help to create a business objects in SRM.

HOw can I handle event at Cell level in JTable

I am having this problem. I want to handle the double click and selection change event at individual cell level or row level in JTable. The FoccusListener and MouseLIstener I am adding are working only at Table level.
By onSelectionCHange I mean when a user momves from one cell to another cell.
How can I get a handle to individual cell and handle evetns on it.

I would like to realize "OR" authorization control to the CELL level, not selection level.
For example If user1 has the following authorization.

I know by now, it is impossible, so I would like to know how do you do to the same requirement. (I have a experience to realize it, but in this case, the frontend is custom made.

Hi Daniel,
I can not imagine such a function.
What is possible, is that you define the data slices according to what you want to be able to enter. so if you include several char with certain values in your data slices, your mask in the end will have the look, that certail cells are not ready for input.
Unfortunatly you can not set data slices on key figures, so maybe you need an account model.

I have an requiremnt where we want system to validate the posting date for profit centre documents actual/plan, Functionality should be same as system check posting period for FI documents maintained in OB52 and controlling cost centre documents posting period maintained in OKP1.
For creating Profit centre document activity types are available in Tcode 0KEO.
I have come across Exits EXIT_SAPLPC08_001 and EXIT_SAPLPC08_002. But i am notsure whether we can use these and implement these.
PLease suggest what can be done to achieve this.

And along with what Ian said be careful when exporting also, some suppressed fields may export even though you have supressed them, so you are not removing the data, just hiding it. If the user has rights to edit the report they could "unhide" the info.
Depending on the version of CR you are using depends on the output, our export formats tend to change on how they work and what is exported etc.
There are Various DB tools from SAP Enterprise that has the ability to do row level filtering if that is an option for you.

Is it possible set access at dimension level?
How can I set the member Account (root of Account Dimension) visible for only a subset of user?

I'm currently using Hyperion Planning version 4.0.2. I tried using the ImportSecurity.exe file to update the security for the top member in Entities dimension (ie the dimension name itself) but it kept giving me this error:
Record not processed -Finance,Entities,READ,MEMBER- Invalid Member name.
All lines in Import Security file were successfully parsed.
No records inserted into the database.
1 Lines were not processed by the application due to errors.
My secfile.txt file looks like this:
Finance,Entities,READ,MEMBER
Am I doing anything wrongly?

Catching an error from the component level in a plan?

I have components that installs a software package (using the LINUX rpm install plugin). These components are called in sequence from an SPS
"Plan". If any one of the rpm's to be installed by the plan might already have been installed, the rpm exits with an error message and a "1" exit code.
That exit, causes the whole install to stop dead in its tracks.
I have tried a "try and catch" to be allow the installation to continue
when that situation exists. Howvever, at the "Plan" level all I can catch is
any error. If a bad error; that is one that is not an "Exit 1" because the
rpm was already installed, but rather something that needs to stop the
entire plan ... the "catch" will ignore those errors as well.
Without modification of the SUN component install plugin, how in XML does one know what the exit code is from the install plugin
(a) within the component that calls the install plugin
(b) insde the plan XML that calls the component XML that calls the plugin
Are there global variables, passed return codes, inherited parameters or something that facilitates the passing of exit codes from plug-in to XML component to XML plan?

You can check whether the similar Notes have already been implemented in your system. Check with your BASIS team

How to make authorization to different planning level on one planning area?

now the situation is one planning area call one global company, under that we create several planning level for serveral sub-company. The authorization should that one sub-comp. only can display, change his planning level, and can not display any other sub-comp. So, in this case how to make authorization? Thanks!
