Cellular signal looking bars in Menu Bar.

Wasn't sure where to post this so I hope its in the right place. With the recent install of Snow Leopard I've started noticing a signal strength bar appearing randomly in my top Menu Bar. Its a set of 5 vertical signal bars much like cellular signal bar. Its not there on start up and eventually goes away. When I click on it a grayed out "Initializing..." appears, but nothing ever happens. I've been searching for a while now with no luck on what it could be. I can't think of any programs it could be related to. I don't have any sort of wireless broadband card or adapter and never have. I only use the built in wifi.
It doesn't seem to have any effect on my system, but I'm still curious what this could be. I'm fairly puzzled. If anyone could help point me in the right direction I'd really appreciate it.

I searched online when I had this happen to me, and at first I assumed it was because I had just installed Rosetta (a program used to open applications meant for earlier operating systems for mac).. after reading this forum, I saw the verizon comment and realized i had my verizon lg dare plugged into my computer to charge. I am assuming these 5 cellular looking bars are indeed cellular indications if you connect your phone to your computer in order to use the phone's network to connect to the internet.

Right part of menu bar and menu bar clock freezes after a few minutes works. Happens every single session and seems to not be affected of what programs that are running. There are other anomalities too, which seem to be somehow related, affecting my main software (Finale). Keyboard Maestro and Time Machine are always running in the background. Any ideas?

BTW: After restart, it all seems to work. This seems to happen after the MBP has been taking a nap and in all following sessions.
It's a 2 months old MBP, 8 gB RAM, all the newest updates on everything.

though i am using Flash 9... ) but haven't been able to find

To play animation in a button - you place a movie clip in it.
Each frame of
the button can have a different clip if you like.
However, while you can do it with a timeline, those buttons
would be pretty
simple using one of the tweening classes. I'd recommend
having a look at
Tweener - which is hosted on Google code.

My address bar and menu bar are missing, unable to back up history or bookmarks..

I unchecked menu bar then unchecked address bar. Now I can't right click and check them back to make them appear. Now I can't back up my history or my bookmarks. I have no help> or menu.

Hide Command Bar and Menu Bar

Hello there,
Iam trying to display a transaction in portal. For this iam using a Transaction I View. But iam able to find two menus and the command box at the top of the iview.
How can i restrict these from appearing?
Iam using ECC6. EP7 (Integrated ITS)
Iam not using an Internet Service, iam directly calling the transaction using the Iview.

How can I combine the nav bar and menu bar on the same line to save space?

Firefox v29 seems to be a huge step backward in customization. I need to save space for content so previously I turned off tabs and combined the menu bar and nav bar on the same line. The url space is way too long anyway. Now with v29 all my customization is gone and I cannot get it back. I can no longer move items on the nav bar to combine it with the menu bar. Why was this done? It only limits my ability to customize my browser? I am very frustrated that you took a great browser and ruined it.

I get it that Firefox has changed, but the change is for the worse. It makes it impossible to customize menus as I had before v.29.

Can't see any page except tool bar and menu bar

I am using firefox as my default browser.
When I tried to open the browser, only the tool & menu bar appeared but not the page below ( where we can read the contents.

Very similar topic. I have a g5, but I have a windows desktop, windows laptop, and xbox360. I have an airport extreme card with the antenna in place. The two windows machines have their wireless network cards and antenna.....the xbox has it's wireless adapter. When I start up the machines, the three microsoft machines connect just fine, the G5 won't connect. I can run an ethernet cable to the Linksys G router, and sometimes that kicks in the airport card. But who wants to do that every day.
I can share files between the two windows machines, but not to the powermac. not sure about the xbox360.....the wireless adapter is an xmas present. But connected via ethernet cable, the xbox won't work with anything.
Help please.

I just bought a new router with the notebook which I got a couple of weeks ago. The old router was a B and the new one a G, but that is moot. Everything is backwards compatible....and none of the machines support X.

How do I reopen the status bar and menu bar, I accidentally unchecked one of them and now they are not accessible by right clicking anywhere on the browser

If you right click on the top bars in the browser you can check and uncheck what bars appear. I accidentally unchecked something there and now when I right click I cannot get any menu to recheck my menu, status bars so that they are visible. They are currently not visible, I have no way to navigate or change any settings.

OK, got it fixed, I kept fishing around on this site and found an answer. Depress the Alt key and the menu bar temporarily appears, long enough to restore the bars to be visible.

Launching URL without Address bar and Menu Bar

I use the following piece of code to launch an URL from the application. I want to launch the URL without address bar & Menu bar. how this could be achieved?

As far as I know, the only way to request a browser window to open without address/menu bar is via JavaScript (note that it's just a request - depending upon the browser being used and the security settings, the address bar in particular may end up being shown anyway). So, I don't believe you can do this with an af:goLink.
Note: why do you include an af:outputText as a child for af:goLink? af:goLink has a "text" property to display the text.
Note #2: It appears as if you are launching a link to the app itself - is the only reason you're using af:goLink instead of af:commandLink in order to ensure that the link opens in a new window?

Through facesconfig iam navigating to the other page, some thing like my method returns a striing "success" in faceconfig i made to navigate to page2.jsp if it receives success,
My current requirement is to remove the tool bar as well as manu bar from the navigated page i.e. page2.jsp, i could n't able o configure that, can any one please help me on this.

Remove Address Bar and Menu Bar frm WebHelp

I'm working with the latest RoboHelp (actually TCS) with all the updates.
My project is now in WebHelp and want to display the Help part only. I don't want the Address Bar, Menu Bar displayed in the browsers, and the ability to create tabs. Just the Help.
I know this can be done because I have seen it. I think is by using jscript. Does anybody have such a script. Sorry, I'm not a scripter.

Address bar and menu bar hidden unless I expand page and use the pointer

I am a new user of imac. Can you please help me - the menu bar and address bar and search bar does not show when I open Safari. I can get it if I expand the page and use the pointer to point at the top of the screen. This is the only way I can use it now. I hope you can help I am not too savvy yet on this lovely machine.

If you are using Lion OSX, they have implemented a full page feature for many programs. If you are running it full screen (like it sounds like you are) then you just move your mouse up to the top of the page for those items to appear. If you don't like full page, there is a button in the top right corner (it has 2 arrows pointing at each other) and you can click that and bring it back to the normal mode.

When placing icons on the menu bar, I can not increase size to large icons. I can make icons larger when putting icons on other bars below menu bar. Never had this problem with any earlier version of FF

This happens with all icon themes including default. I like having the large icons on the menu bar so hopefully this can be fixed.
