CEN - RZ20 - Remote ABAP system

In CEN (F41), under the RZ20 transaction, I do not see the R3H instance.
Do you the this strange behavior?
Thank you,
NikeeHello,
I would like to monitor the Remote ABAP instance (R3H) on to the CEN instance (F41).
I have created RFC connections to R3H from F41, and also installed SAPCCM4X agent on R3H as an alternative connection to F41.
In CEN (F41), under the transaction ST03G, I am able to see R3H instance global workload data.
In CEN (F41), under the RZ20 transaction, I do not see the R3H instance.
*****Somehow, the R3H Remote ABAP system Entry is Missing*****
Please let me know what I am doing wrong here...
Thank you,
Nikee

first place to check is RZ21 > topology > system overview and also the ccms agents tab.  Everything look good?

  • SLD Communication between Remote ABAP & JAVA system through WebDispatcher

    Hi All,
We are having the listed requirement at one of my Client.
We want to register Remote ABAP system into Remote SLD of JAVA system. Both SAP systems are located in different regions. The SLD is local to the remote JAVA system. The ultimate objective is to create JCO Destinations in Remote JAVA system using the Entries of its Local SLD and to run some WebDynpro Application to access Data from Remote ABAP system.
We have already setup the above mentioned same scenario between Remote ABAP Dev and Remote Poratl DEV systems with the help of their Direct Live IP communciation. The setup is working fine, as both systems are accessing each other using Direct Live IPs in both directions on ports 3200, 3300, 50000....
But in Portal PRD scenario, the Cleint's Enterprise Portal is accessed through SAP Webdispatcher. The User Access Request of PRD Portal is first captured at SAP Webdispatcher and then the requrest is redirected to the J2ee Application Servers based on Load balancing. So in this PRD scenario, how we can establish such SLD communication setup between Remote ABAP and JAVA systems in both directions via SAP WebDispatcher.
One of the option may be to use SAP Gateway of Portal Development, whcih is accessed through Live IP and register Remote ABAP system to Poral PRD system (by maintaining SLD entriy in SLDAPICUST T-code). I don't know weather such communication will work or not ..as it may require SLD Bridge configuration from Portal DEV to Portal PRD... may be... and may be to enable some portal communcaitons on Ports 3300, 50000 (Java Side), 3200, (ABAP side) ...
    Or
at SAP Webdispather host (which is accessed first for Portal PRD requests..), the Standalone gateway needs to be setup to establish such SLD communication ?
I am confused abt the final setup of the above mentioned SLD setup. So requesting you to provide possible options/suggestions for the same.
    Regards,
    Bhavik G. Shroff

    Hi,
I would suggest you to install standalone gateway between portal and your PRD system. Register portal host and gateway in the SLD and same enter in RZ70 on your PRD system. As a result both will be able to communicate with each other.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • Problem while connecting to external ABAP system (on 4.6C rel)

    Hi All,
I've created WebDynpro application that is supposed to fetch info about users from several ABAP systems. J2EE engine that runs this WebDynpro is directly connected to one of the ABAP systems. I've successfully created identical Adaptive RFC models, maintained SLD entries for my ABAP systems and configured JCO connections for my WebDynpro through WebDynpro Content Manager (http://<host>:port/webdynpro/welcome). I was able to reach all ABAP systems testing my JCO connections from WebDynpro Content Manager.
The problem I am experiencing is the following:
the application is working fine for the ABAP system that J2EE (where it's executed) is connected to, but failed to reach the remote ABAP system issuing the following message:
"Accessing System <Remote ABAP system> is not possible because RFC Metadata was retrieved using System <ABAP system that J2EE is connected>. Please assure you have configured the RFC Connections properly. A Server restart may be necessary!"
Where else should I have define JCO settings ?
This remote ABAP system is running on 4.6C so I have no options to install J2EE on it or fully configure SLD for that system.
It may seem like a dummy question since I am new to WebDynpro programming.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

    Hi Rich,
Thank you for a quick reply,
Here is what I've done to connect to the remote ABAP system:
    1. Configured this remote system in the SLD as a Technical System (SLD=> Technical Landscape).
    2. Opened WebDynpro Content Administrator and created two JCO's for my application pointed to that remote ABAP system (defined in SLD). I was able to test them successfully reaching that remote system.
But when I run my application the same error occured.
    What did I miss ?
    Thanks & Regards,
    Mike

  • External ABAP system

I understand that  SAP no longer recommends dual-stack installations except for Solution Manager.  I want to install a new Netweaver 7.3 system  to replace my existing Netweaver 7.0 sld instance.  The installation guide (Windows/SQL) for a java-only 7.3 install gives an option to use an external ABAP system to help maintain users. Has anybody done this?  Any problems with this?

  • SSO between 2 ABAP systems

    Hello All,
There are 2 ABAP systems into consideration here.
A custom application is running on R/3 4.7 system.
This application also accesses data from another system - ECC 6.0
    Issue:
Users get a login prompt to access ECC..which is to be removed...
    Question:
How can I set a SSO connection between these two ABAP systems?
    Awaiting Reply.
    Thanks and Warm Regards,
    Ritu

    Hi Ritu,
First you need to ensure that your systems support SSL.
    Use the procedure given here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/65/6a563cef658a06e10000000a11405a/frameset.htm
Once SSL works, you can then setup SSO as per the link given in the previous post.

  • How to allow login using email address (ALIAS)  to Abap system

    Hi,
we are developing some Abap Webdympro to logon to an Abap system, release Netweaver 731, in order to allow our end user to logon via Internet browser to this system.
So our Abap system is acting like a Portal system, but it's not a J2EE system, it's just a Netweaver Abap system with the following components installed:
    SAP_BASIS
    SAP_ABA
    PI_BASIS
    ST-PI
    IW_BEP
    SAP_BW
    UI2_700
    UI2_701
    UI2_702
    UI2_731
    UI2_FND
    UI2_SRVC
    UI5_731
    UISAPUI5
    UI_INFRA
No SSO is configured on the ABAP system, and no connection to the LDAP directory is in place , and it is neither  foresee.
In this moment we are able to login with the user-id of the user we created into the SU01, butt we would like to allow the access using the ALIAS of the users too.
The ALIAS of these users is like '[email protected]'.
We did some test but trying to logon we recive always the message:
    "500 SAP Internal Server Error
ERROR: System logon form fields have invalid values (termination: ERROR_MESSAGE_STATE)"
On the network I'm able to find only post related to this issue using a J2EE portal, but nothing using an ABAP system as Portal.
    Any idea ?
    Regards

    Hello Arul,
welcome to the SDN CRM Development forum.
    1. I think you should clear the data with duplicate E-Mail adresses in the external tool.
    2. Unsubscription could be done by a Marketing Attribute which could be set by using a Target Group which is created by Campaign Automation. Have a look at this Toppic. There is also a Best Practice avaliable at http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/index.htm.
    3. Also HTML or Simple text can be mained in a Marketing Attribute. You have to use different Mail Forms to which are sent to different Target groups.

  • Creating a business partner using data from a remote legacy system

    Hi Experts,
I am trying to make an interface for creating a business partner in SAP CRM from customer data created in a remote legacy system. I want to map the fields in XI.
But to create a customer I need a RFC or a BAPI or maybe an IDoc, that includes all fields for business partner creation and can create a new business partner from the data.
I have identified an RFC that have the structure of the BDoc BUPA_MAIN. This RFC is called: CRM_BUPA_MAIN_CRM_IN
But I am not sure if that RFC can be used for Business Partner creation.
Can anyone tell me if that RFC can be used, or if there are other RFC's, BAPI's or IDoc's that can be used for remote creation of business partners (they have to include all fields of the Business Partner)??
There are a few BAPI's that include some of the fields for BP creation, but making several calls to different BAPIs from XI to CRM is not an option (I thought the BAPI: BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA could have been used, but it lacks some of the data fields needed for creating BPs).
    Thanks in advance,
    Torsten

  • RFC destination Java = ABAP system to wrong system

    Hello everyone,
I have a NW04 Java system (WebAs 640, SP19), which has an RFC destination to an ABAP system.
The strange this is this: we changed the target system of the RFC connection to a different one (let's say from SID1 to SID2), they have different system numbers, different host names and different gateways. Only user and password we kept the same, as that's easier to maintain.
We have a self developed java application which uses this RFC connection.
When we call the application using only the <b>not</b>-fully-qualified hostname the RFC connection to the old (SID1) is used, but the destination is defined with SID2.
However, when we use the fully qualified hostname in the URL, it works with SID2 (which is correct).
Does anyone have an idea why that happens and what we can do to prevent that?
    Regards,
    Cornelia

    Hi Mantosh,
it's an RFC connection entered in Visual Administrator of the Java System (service Destinations), so there's no possibility to set an RFC type like in SM59.
Of course you're right concerning the hostnames, but I was wondering how that could happen. Normally, it should read the data which I configured in the RFC connetion and use that.
We deleted temporary files and cookies and all from the workstation were we started the browser, even rebooted the workstation, but no effect.
Do you know any cache were the java system could have the old data left?
    Regards,
    Cornelia

  • Installing Java Add-In for an existing ABAP System -Error SQL compatibility

    Hello gurus,
We have a system and it has only the ABAP instance! So my goal is install the JAVA iinstance. In this momment I´m reading the section "4.4.2 Installing the Java Add-In for an Existing ABAP System (Optional)" in installation guide "SAP ERP 6.0 SR3" (ABAP+JAVA). So, I want to install the JAVA instance which is the Java Add-In for an existing ABAP system!
So what I did was followed that instructions on that section in guide!
As you certainly know this process has three sequential phases:
    1) Central Services Instance (SCS) Java Add-In
    2) Database Instance Java Add-In
    3) Central Instance Java Add-In
The first phase - Central Services Instance (SCS) Java Add-In - it already finished with success, but I´m faccing with a weird error in second phase  Database Instance Java Add-In when I entered all required input parameters, SAPinst shows an error that says:
The database PRD has the wrong compatibility level. The database used for the installation of an SAP system must have compatibility level: 80 for MS SQL Server 2000 90 for MS SQL Server 2005 SOLUTION: See the MS SQL Server documentation on how to set the compatibility level for a database.
I don´t know what´s happen, in fact my database is an SQL Server 2008 (100), but I already change it at management studio, the compatibility level to MS SQL Server 2005, but still the error remains!!!     I also tried to ran again the sapinst process, I restarted it but it still show me this error!!
Can you tell me why and how can I solve this problem?
    Best regards,
    João Dimas - Portugal

    Hello Sunny,
I still have this error... I don´t know what do to more for this situation!
I found one not which report this error of compatibility - Note 1152240 - Setting Up Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (R2) - in chapter "VII TROUBLESHOOTING" which said to follow the instructions in chapter III - "Installing SAP systems based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3".
When I read this last chapter (III) it tell us to do:
If you want to install an SAP system based on SAP NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 on SQL Server 2008, you cannot use the Installation Master and Kernel DVD that you received from SAP or downloaded from SAP Service Marketplace. Instead, you have to do the following:
Patch your runtime libraries by applying the procedure that is described in note 684106 for your release and machine architecture.
Use a modified Installation Master DVD
For more information, see section "VI PROCEDURES" -> "Creating a modified Installation Master DVD".
    Use a modified Kernel DVD
For more information, see section "VI PROCEDURES" -> "Creating a modified Kernel DVD".
I did everything that is said in the note (except the "Creating a modified Kernel DVD") because I can not access to the note 1480785 (it say: "The requested SAP Note is either in reworking or is released internally only")
Can you help me... can you guide me... please!?
    Best regards,

  • ABAP systems for CE

    Hi,
To configure access to a backend system for use in VC, Web dynpro etc in CE 7.1, is it right to go to Configuration Management -> Security -> Destinations?
And then create an HTTP destination followed by an RFC destination pointing to the ABAP system?
Or do we have to configure the SLD for the ABAP system in question.
Which one is right and more suitable.
Also, In future will SAP continue to release EE only version or will future releases always have the composition tools as well. e.g  I need the full version for GP, VC etc.

    Hi Prem,
The destination service can be used to connect to any http/rfc systems.
Even the SLD system itself is to be registered through destination service as an http destination.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/e9cfe128063483e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm
And according to the documentation from Destination service, not all applications use the Destination service.
Some applications have their own connection maintenance tools.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/07/0d27932264284b883dab13ce1008a6/frameset.htm
So it is upto your application to decide where to maintain the connection.
For example: While creating JCO Connections you need to have your system registered in SLD.
Hope this helps to get some idea.
    Best Regards,
    Praveen Gudapati
